This home is truly beautiful. It was nice to return to the luxury, comfort and beautiful sunsets, a few minutes away from Queenstown.

The home and scenic backdrop were both more stunning than the pictures show. It is definitely a place where you don't feel the need to leave to enjoy the scenic beauty of Queenstown. Lake Wakatipu is viewed from one side of the home and the Remarkables are the backdrop. We were an extended family group aged 1-76 yrs. The spacing between bedrooms allowed us all to have our privacy even with our group of 14. We enjoyed the BBQ and the professional espresso machine as well as everything else in this high-spec home. We did not end up playing tennis so can't comment on that. The walk to the lakefront is nice, and you can make it a short drive if needed. Even in mid summer the water is ~11C so don't plan on the family spending hours swimming down there. You will of course need a rental car to stay out at Lakeside Estates where the home is located. If you can drive up the Remarkables mountain road (~14km, very windy) to take in the view as it starts down the road from the house.

Beautiful area of Queenstown. Gated community. Well maintained. It is further from the town itself but close to the airport and supermarket which is very convenient. However, most (all?) restaurants/fast food deliveries do not deliver here.

This magnificent home with its breathtaking scenic setting is a credit to the owners. It is spacious without feeling huge, the separate living spaces work well, the bedrooms are comfortable, plenty of bathrooms, workable kitchen. We were a family group and had hired a toy box which was such a good idea. The "hidden" bedroom was a retreat with the bonus of a full on view of the lake and mountains. Note that is a trip into Queenstown for the nearest shop.

Marie met us and very kindly welcomed us to Queenstown. The photos don't do this home justice. It was more than we expected. We had a lovely relaxing holiday in this beautiful spot.

Wonderful accomodations for a large group of family and friends on the outskirts of Queenstown, close to the airport and to everything fun in adventure land. Great common space for dinner prep and meal gatherings but plenty of private space for some personal downtime. A quick stroll down to the lake is a paradise of its own right in your front yard. Marie was a gracous host that prepared us well for our visit. Valhalla Lodge is definitely on our return to New Zealand top places to stay list.

I have a small company called The Butler which looks after properties in Queenstown - and feel fortunate to live in this beautiful place all the time. Having been in the "Service Industry" in various roles and travelled extensively I can help our guests have a great holiday.
During my free time I indulge my passion for photography, golf as well as enjoying evening walks and dining out with friends.
