The Hayloft is the most recently converted part of our barn. It can be rented by itself or joined to our other listing NUMBER HIDDEN) to make a larger family accommodation .

The space

The Hayloft has one double bedroom with adjoining shower room. There is a large kitchen diner with woodburner, and an induction range cooker. There is a utility room and bathroom with bath next to the kitchen.A spiral staircase leads up to a mezzanine living room with a sofa bed if necessary.

Guest access

There is a small cobbled courtyard for guests. Guests are welcome to explore the garden,to sit and enjoy the space, all we ask is that you respect our privacy as we will yours!

Interaction with guests

We love to meet people and enjoy welcoming them to our home. We have lived in this area for twenty or more years and can help you with finding places to eat, explore, walk and cycle in this beautiful part of Devon. We are always here to meet you when you arrive and although this is self-catering, you will find a welcome pack of essentials such as tea, coffee, milk and biscuits.

Other things to note

Just to say that there are beehives in one corner of the garden, although you do not have to go near them. However, if you are allergic to bee stings, maybe this is not for you. We also have a large and friendly collie cross who loves people. Although we love cats and dogs I am afraid we do not accept pets, mainly so that the accommodation is suitable for people with pet allergies. We do not accept children under 5 as there is an unfenced pond and a spiral staircase. No smoking in the barn!

This is a perfect place for a quiet weekend in the country. It is really peaceful and there are lots of lovely walks nearby. Lesley and Noel were perfect hosts; welcoming, warm, helpful and well informed about the area. Vey comfortable, clean and spacious, thoroughly recommended,

Clyst Hayes is beautiful. Lesley and Noel are very attentive hosts, who have thought of everything when it comes to their setup. We had a wonderful time relaxing in the accommodation and the garden, not to mention walks around the local area (Budleigh Salterton is very close). We are hoping to return again next year. Thanks a lot, Noel and Lesley!

Well what can we say, Lesley and Noel's barn is amazing. So much better than what we were expecting, an absolute delight. Both Lesley and Noel are wonderful hosts and Theo is lovely too. Lesley supplied a lovely welcome pack of strawberries, cream, bread etc, which was well appreciated. We would definitely recommend this property and can't wait to make a return viist.

This place is an absolute gem. Bigger, comfier, and classier than even the pics make it look. And... the bed was super comfy. And... there were little extras in the fridge and both cake and bread from bakery. And... the hosts were friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive, and the lovely Theo (woof) offered v. nice cuddles. And... the local pub (dog and donkey) is reasonably priced and v. friendly. In short we'd be very happy to stay again. Thanks Lesley.

Lesley and Noel have an idyllic barn with picture box gardens surrounding. Thank you both so much for your hospitality, the wonderful greeting on arrival of strawberries, clotted cream, bread , butter, milk, apple juice etc were most welcoming after our journey down from the Midlands. Perfect location and close to both coast and countryside. We had a totally comfortable and relaxing holiday and would highly recommend booking your beautiful barn xx

Lesley's place is wonderful, we were met with a warm welcome & a plate of flapjacks & bread with milk & apple juice in the fridge too. The place is decorated to a very high standard, extremely clean & well equipped. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a place to stay.

Lesley User ProfileLesley is a superhost.

I am a translator from French to English. My husband Noel is semi-retired doctor. We are very lucky to live in a fabulous part of the world and love to be able to share it with guests. We also like to travel and meet other people. We both love to walk (with our energetic dog) , cycle and spend time in the garden.
