2nd floor end location in 3 story building. My Islander on the Beach #222 suite has 372 square feet of living space plus the lanai/balcony of about 67 square feet. A queen bed and full sized sleeper sofa accommodates up to 4 people. Prepare simple meals with the microwave, toaster oven, blender, coffee maker, and fridge. The kitchen has utensils, cutting knives, glasses, plates, and bowls. Outdoor barbecues are available too! Hang out at the pool or picnic tables by the BBQ so you don't feel forced to eat out every night.
Samsung flat screen wall mounted TV with cable programming, high speed WiFi, and Blue Ray DVD player(rent all the latest movies from Redbox at the Longs Drugs on Aleka Loop a short 1/4 mile away) will entertain you when you are not venturing out.
Many shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Handy laundromat at the mall just south of the Foodland plaza. It is clean and there is a change machine too.
Gorgeous sunrises greet you daily and make a great start to a relaxing day. Go for a walk on the long beach or lounge around the pool. I provide beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom. Iron and ironing board in the armoire. The ocean here has a fairly rocky bottom, so swimming is not recommended. There are better spots nearby for swimming, snorkeling, and boogie boarding. Island exploration north or south is easy too from this central location on the Coconut coast.
There are no elevators in the buildings. So it is one flight of stairs to my 2nd floor suite. Quiet location within the community and being an end unit means one less shared wall and more light.
You can arrive at the suite at any time after the 3pm check in time. The front desk is serviced until 11pm. You can arrive after 11pm and go directly to the room. After leaving the lobby area heading towards the ocean, take a left to find the Hawaii building.
There is a nearby ice machine.
You have full use of the pool, hot tub, and barbecues just a short walk away. Don't forget to relax at the Tiki Bar too.
Please shower off at the pool area after returning from the beach so sand is not brought inside.
Laundry facilities are a few blocks away. ABC store is across the street for groceries, snacks, and essentials. Foodland supermarket is a few blocks north.

Frequently Asked Questions FAQ
• Is this a 1 bedroom condominium?
The Islander on the Beach is a condotel managed by Aston. All of the rooms are individually owned with some being rented by Aston, and others like mine, being rented out by the individual owners or offsite property managers. My suite is studio size: 372 square feet with a lanai. Most units are about this size and have similar furnishings. There is a kitchenette in the room: fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and blender.
• What's the difference between my suite, renting from Aston, or some other travel agency or website?
The difference is price and choice of room. My suite is less expensive overall and is a 2nd floor end unit with ocean views in the Hawaii building. I also take more care in ensuring my suite is updated and maintained thoroughly.
• Is this an ocean view suite?
YES. Great views from the balcony and on the sofa inside the suite.
• Is there a kitchen?
It is a mini kitchen with microwave, toaster oven, blender, bar sized fridge, and coffee maker. Nearby BBQs expand the possibilities for eating great meals while lounging by the pool or beach.
• What is there to do?
For short stays, you may want to keep it simple and stay at the resort for a relaxing time and walk over to the nearby shops, restaurants and bars, or rent kayaks and bicycles from next door. For longer stays, you will want a car to explore the beautiful scenery and variety found on Kauai
• What is the bedding arrangement?
The suite is ideal for 4 people...a queen size bed and full size sleeper sofa
• Do we need our own beach towels?
There are beach towels in the room. I also provide 2 beach chairs, 2 boogie boards, and an umbrella.
• Is there a resort fee?
If you are booking directly from an owner like myself, there is no resort fee. If you book from Aston, the resort fee is about $18/day.
• What about WiFi?
WiFi is free in the room
• Does the suite have air conditioning?
Yes. Plus a ceiling fan, desk fan, and nice ocean breezes.
• Where is suite #222 located?
It is on the ocean side end of the 3 story Hawaii building, 2nd floor. The view of the ocean is to the east so you get nice sunrises. There is no elevator so you have one flight of stairs to manage. Roosters do tend to wander around and can be your natural wake up call.

I chose to own a place on Kauai since it has great natural beauty, relaxing lifestyle, and almost perfect weather...there's a lot to like.
I enjoy the Kauai Beach Resort because of it's convenient location to the island's biggest town and central location for exploring north or south. Relaxing on the lanai of my suite looking out at the ocean view is a great way to start the morning or unwind after a day of adventure.
