House was just as the pictures but is located ~10 minute uphill walk from the nearest station which might be challenging if you have a lot of luggage.

House is absolutely beautiful. The bathroom facilities were immaculate and the neighbourhood was very quiet. It was a bit of a pain to get to if you had luggage as it requires walking up a very steep hill, and also without wifi it is very difficult to find, however I recommend walking out of misasagi station heading towards the 7/11 where there is free wifi. Some of the rooms could get VERY cold but all in all we loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it/stay again (especially in the summer!)

It's difficult to write this feedback as I'm worrying about whether it's fair to each other. Anyway, it's not a bad experience to live in this house. Something was not as expected, like the cold air infiltration into the window of one of the bed rooms. If we are there during summer time, the experience may be different.

Yusuke's house in Kyoto is beyond beautiful. A fantastic traditional home with the most spectacular views onto the gorgeous garden. The house is fitted with modern amenities and all of the tatami mattresses and bedding you could need. Plenty of heaters provided which was handy because it got to 1 degree Celsius when we were staying. Just a 10 min stroll from Misasagi station which is conveniently located within the subway and most areas easy to get to via train. We had a lovely stay in Kyoto, thanks to Yusuke for being a great host.

We loved staying at the Garden House. Yusuke was very quick to respond and very accommodating. The Garden House is beautiful. It's 150 years old. It was a little cold so bring some warm pj's and wooly socks, but totally worth it. Each room had a heater and it was super lovely. Reminded me of a beautiful cabin in the woods.

If you want authentic Japanese home, this is it! The autumn red leaves on the tress at the backyard had make the entire stay even more beautiful. Place is as described. Slightly farther away from the city centre, but only 7mins walk to the subway. highly recommended.

Such a bad experience! Never again. Yusuke was on a business trip, and we had to discover the house by ourselves (no tips on the house, no advice on the appliances, everything written in japanese!). The house is supposed to host 10 people, we were à group of seven… and there were only 2 chairs (one with only three legs) and no other seats, 1 table (european), 4 plates and bowls, no knives… electric appliances are 50 fifty years old and pretty dangerous. Dust everywhere, holes in the walls, and huge centipedes (scolopendromorpha, venimous). We scrubbed and cleaned, and finally decided to move out. Yusuke did not provide any help. We found another place (which was cheaper and great). Yusuke refunded 1020€… and kept 1000€ for our 36 hours in his place!
