I'm sorry to write this negative comment, but I did not feel comfortable staying at this place. I wish I had spend more time on reading the previously written comments before I went there. So please ready this detailed info:
Even if the house is located close to the subway and rather cheap, even if we had a spacious and rather quiet room and even if the communication with Nia was easy and fast, there is too much to complain about.
1. You cannot lock the doors to the street and the apartment, only to your room. I didn't feel save at night and woke up several times because of noises in the apartment. I never knew if it was another guest or a burglar! Nothing happened though.
2.The wifi was bad and did not work everyday.
3. When we arrived (half an hour earlier that commumicated) the room was not ready which is not a problem of course. Nia put new sheets on and gave us fresh towels but the room was still dusty and not really clean. The bathroom was not cleaned (more dusty than disguting) and you share it with God knows how many people. We stayed 4 nights and it was never cleaned and the towel to dry your hands was never exchanged. The shower is very mouldy..
4. One Night I woke up, because of a person walking up and down the apartment, listening to loud electronic music on the phone. When I stepped outside to say something, it was Nia. Which host comes to her apartment to bother her own guests?! Not on purpose I guess, but I was completely surprised how less she cared about her guests staying there. She turned down the music immediatly afterwards, apologized Vers friendly and I went back to bed.
5. The room was spacious but prepared without love. No picture, no thinking about the guests. There was not even a tiny mirrow, although the bathroom was always occupied in the morning when everyone was getting ready. Nothing to be bothered by, just a Bit sad.
The bed contains an old matraze that would fold together like a soft Taco (you are the filling) when you lay down.
And there was a door to another room. We could hear the other guest's alarm in the morning and vice versa.
Being a host as well, I was surprised how simple you can earn money with low standards. But I could never care that less about my guests and my apartment... bummer...
