We are a couple blocks from a main road, and you may see some litter on the busier streets upon your approach, or hear one of Oakland's famous Side Shows in the distance. Racism, sexism, homophobia, or any other bias have no place here.

Welcome to East Oakland, the heart of The Town. My neighborhood is home to a diverse population. We are centrally located and minutes from the Oakland Airport and all the major Bay Area attractions. You will be staying in a working-class area. You may hear a loud car passing by or one of Oakland's famous Side Shows in the distance during the day. Down the street and around the corner you will find an unhoused couple that find solace in their vehicle. They are not on my street, or visible from my home, but they are members of this community. While visiting the Bay Area, please extend grace to our unsheltered population.
