Great location

Church Cottage is a newly converted stable, once associated with St Nicholas Church at Kyloe.

The cottage is positioned on the hills inland from Holy Island and has a spectacular uninterrupted view of 20 miles of coastline.

The space
The cottage is located in the grounds of the former St Nicholas Church at Kyloe (now a home). You will have use of the whole cottage, free off road parking and use of garden space. There is secure storage for bikes or other outdoor gear.

Guest access
The cottage is all yours, we're in the process of dedicating some of the garden to the cottage, until then - enjoy it all :)

Other things to note
The church and cottage are surrounded by working farm land. So, at harvest time the fields may be busy with tractors, and if there are cows in the low field - the farmer may whiz by on his quad bike in the morning ( So close the curtains), but don't worry he's a nice chap and will certainly give you a cheery wave ... or point and laugh ... as appropriate.

Kyloe is a (very) small village. The cottage has spectacular views and easy access to some beautiful countryside, hills, woodlands and beaches. If you add to that the overwhelming amount of history (more castles than is really decent) then really, we're quite spoiled.

We have a couple of shops within striking distance, the village shop at Lowick (3 miles) - essentials, fresh produce/cakes, small off licence, fresh meat from Foremans the Butcher in Norham (great bacon). and newspapers.

Also Beal services at the Holy Island turn off, open late (ish) with a small 'convenience' supermarket.

We're self reliant, hard working, a bit obsessive, fond of chickens, and determined to do-it-right. We don't bite unless bitten and never (rarely) play with our chainsaws in public.
During your stay
We'll generally be about but will leave you to your own devices, If you need any help or information, please don't hesitate to ask.
