Our stay with Rachel was great. Although we didn't meet her, Rachel was exceptional with communicating with us. The door code entry system was a good as we arrived at midnight so we didn't need to disturb anyone. The use of the private washer/dryer was a life saver, and private bathroom was nice to have. The bed was comfy and the room was spacious. The location was great, a quiet area, free street parking plus only a five to ten minute walk to the $2 Algiers Ferry to cross to the French Quarter. Our stay was reasonably priced and much cheaper to stay away from the French Quarter, we would stay again. Rachel does have dogs which wasn't an issue for us. We didn't ever see them or have contact with them as our room is separate from the main section of the house but they do bark, as dogs do, but not for long. Overall, a very lovely stay!

Lovely apartment situated in a beautiful, historic and peaceful neighbourhood. Self-contained space including bathroom given over to guests, was very handy. Our schedules didn't cross with Rachel or Sam unfortunately as we were back late every day, but Rachel was very helpful and responsive by text. Would definitely recommend a stay here for a memorable trip to New Orleans!

Rachel was an amazing host. Due to hurricane Irma, we arrived 2 days late but she was in touch with us all the time and let us stay an extra night with no charge. Her home is lovely, the bedroom and bathroom are super private and very nice and comfy. The location is fantastic. 10 minutes walk from the Ferry and in a very safe neighborhood. We are hoping to come back and stay longer in this great home.

What a wonderful little place! Rachel was a great host -- very communicative and friendly without being too invasive. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. I really appreciated the private entrance and bathroom. Also, the French Quarter is not too far away -- a 15 minute (1 mile) walk to the ferry or a $15 Lyft ride. I had the misfortune of coming to New Orleans during a tropical rain storm that lasted for days so I traveled by Lyft most of the time I was there. I learned that going to and from the French Quarter by share rides may run a little more late at night when it's busy. I paid about $25 going back to my room at 2 am, but if you split the fare between friends, it is very reasonable. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay with Rachel and would love to stay there again.

Rachel is a very friendly and wonderful host! She is great with communication, and her place is exactly as pictured. She has provided some good travel pamphlets, and will make you feel at home. We loved that her place is close enough to walk to the Algiers ferry for easy transportation across the river, and also close enough to the city for an easy Lyft or Uber back home. We especially enjoyed our morning stroll around her neighborhood on Sunday morning, where we were able to have a great local breakfast. I definitely recommend staying with Rachel!
