This is one of the few places in the area with free parking.
We have updated the ENTIRE interior of our home! From living room to kitchen to bathrooms and all 3 bedrooms; we have new furniture, fixtures and beds! We also now offer and outdoor, enclosed shower with hot & cold water. Nothing better than an outdoor rinse after a surf, swim or day at the beach!

The space
A traditional concrete, single story home with gorgeous terrazzo floors throughout with 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, full kitchen, high speed WiFi, washer/dryer and mini-split A/C units in all bedrooms and the main living area. Our home has all you will need to enjoy the Caribbean!

As my wife and I want you to have the kind of experience that is expected when you stay in a home away from home, we put great effort into ensuring that our home exceeds this expectation. A great value for a family get away! Our beautiful, single family home, is situated on a quiet street in the Jardines neighborhood of Rincon. Located just a short walk from the center of town, less than one mile from pristine swimming and snorkeling beaches (Sea Beach and Marina Beach), and short drives to some of the best surfing beaches and restaurants Rincon and the surrounding area has to offer. Our home is perfect for the budget minded family or group looking for a comfortable and affordable vacation retreat.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire home, with your own set of keys (we can also arrange for a second set through our local friend and property manager). Our home is on a corner lot with an open car port and grass side yard. There is off street parking for one car and plenty of on-street parking. Across the street is a playground and basketball court for your family to enjoy!

Other things to note
Water heater: There is an orange switch in the hallway across from the bathroom. This switch controls the water heater and will be on and may remain on for the duration of your stay. In the event it is accidentally or intentionally switched off, no problem, just flip it back on again! The water heats up very quickly.

Air Conditioning: The living room and all bed rooms have special units known as mini-splits. These units are controlled by a remote which are located in their respective rooms. Simply turn on the power and select the desired temperature. The setting should always be on "cool" (which displays a snowflake graphic on the unit's screen). If you are trying to cool the common living space/kitchen with the living room unit, shut all other bed room and bathroom doors as it will cool much quicker that way.

Water from the tap: We are on city water; however, island wide it is used ONLY for bathing and cleaning. It is best to use bottled water for drinking and cooking. Gallon jugs may be purchased from the local convenience stores such as the Econo in the center of town. The large blue tank on the side of the house stores water for emergency use only in the event that the city system is temporarily unavailable.

We do not have cable T.V. (too much to do outdoors!). However, it does occasionally rain in Puerto Rico and there are days when the waves are flat. For these occasions, or if you just feel like unwinding at home, we have provided an eclectic collection of movies ( DVD and VCR) and a Sony Play Station for your entertainment!

We do have high speed WiFi. The SSID and password are located on a card affixed to the router/modem.

Showering/Washing Machine: The sand is harsh on the plumbing! We ask that guests try to rinse off as best they can before showering and shake out/rinse with the hose beach towels/clothes before putting them in the washer. There is a hose outside of the house.

Toilet: DO NOT flush anything but toilet paper down the toilet!!! ABSOLUTELY no feminine products, wipes of any kind or paper towels, etc...

Where you’ll be

Rincón, PR, Puerto Rico

We chose this property because of it's proximity to downtown Rincon, the beaches and restaurants (and for me, the surfing!!). But more importantly, because it is nestled just up the hill from the center of town and within a wonderful little neighborhood with a true sense of community. We love the sense of a true community filled with friendly neighbors and that is exactly what we found in Rincon! You may even find the occasional bundle of local avocados or freshly picked star fruit left on your doorstep by one of our generous neighbors!
