It is located in the heart of the old town of Postira, a quaint fishing village on the north coast of Brac, and is just 20m from the nearest pebble beach with its aqua blue waters and 500m from the restaurants and cafe bars on the harbour.
The house is set on 2 floors with the double bedroom with its original exposed old stone wall on the first floor. There is a small balcony off this bedroom. A twin bedroom with 2 single beds is also on this floor.
Up a set of internal stairs to the top floor is a large open plan living dining kitchen room that opens out onto a balcony with great views over the rooftops around and the sea of the Brac channel and mountains of the mainland in front.
The main covered eating terrace is on the first floor and boasts views of the surrounding area, the sea and mountains in the distance.
This property is ideal for the guest wanting to enjoy the authenticity of an old stone cottage whilst having the beach (almost) on their door step and the conveniences of great authentic restaurants and local shopping and cafe bars just a short walk away.
To reach Brac you need to take the 50 min car ferry from Split to Supetar. In Supetar you will check in at the property manager's office which is 200 m from the ferry port.
Interaction with guests
The local property manager will email you directions to their office where you will be supplied with photo directions how the get to the apartment. The property manager will give you information about the region, supermarkets, restaurants and cultural events you might visit during your stay. You will feel completely looked after.
The lovely Villa Rustica is situated in a quiet neighbourhood of Postira which makes it an ideal destination for a relaxing holiday.
Postira is a small town situated in the northern part of the island, 12km from Supetar where the car ferries arrive. The well indented shoreline with its numerous bays makes it very attractive to tourists and locals alike. The beaches are mostly pebbles though the nearby sandy beach of Lovrecina Bay is just 2km away and makes for a great day out with its beach cafe/ restaurant. Postira has an old core in the centre with mosaic tiled streets, narrow lanes, up hills and down hills, detached old houses and hidden gateways. Pleasure boats go from here to the Cetina River on the mainland for rafting excursions, a very enjoyable day out.
You can also explore the island and its beautiful nature or enjoy a day at the beach sipping a cocktail in one of the many beach bars. There is a great selection of restaurants all over the island where you will be able to try traditional Dalmatian cuisine but also classic Mediterranean and international/ fusion meals.
Alternatively, you can take a 50 minute ferry ride to Split and wonder around the 1700 year old alleyways of the Diocleceans Palace, do some designer shopping, or just promenade along the elegant palm tree lined Riva eating an ice cream! For a quiet holiday come in April-June or September/October. Easy and regular access to the mainland makes it a great place to have not just a relaxing beach holiday + the whole island to explore by scooter, boat or car but also makes for a convenient base from which to visit the historic sites of Split. If walking is your thing, there are plenty of lovely coastal and inland walking trails with many beautiful old stone villages to explore.

Island Brač is 7 nautical miles away from Split. It is connected with frequent 'Jadrolinija' ferry lines between Split and Supetar. The ferry goes every hour from Split to Supetar, and it is a 50 min ride.
There are busses that cnnect Supetar and Postira. Alternatively there are taxies.

Please note you will need to pay in cash on arrival 1 Euro per person per day tourist tax. Late arrival and Sunday check in fees apply.You will also need to leave a 20 Euro cash deposit on arrival for the key. You will get this back when you return the key on departure
