We had a really nice stay at Gerhard's place. It was really warm during our stay, but the room had a nice temperature. We booked this stay during Lollapalooza, a festival in Treptower park. We walked along the lake in like half an hour, so we didn't had to take the warm and crowded bus, or S- or U bahn. Gerhard and his wife (and daughter) we're really nice hosts, very social and inspiring. Thanks for the pleasant stay!

Lovely Family Beautiful Home Sparcling Clean Amazing View!!!! Usualy houses look bigger in pictures then in reality (real estate listings as well as in AirBnB). That.s not the case here- the Studio is Huge&Spacious! Please read Tricia (may2016) and Terry (april2016) review. I second their impresion and coudnt write it better myself. Dont miss the BTW in Tracia's review as we did :( Youve got the opportunity to take your photografy a step-up with Gerhard's tutoring, wille exploring Berlin and learning about the city. Gerhard is a top leage profesional photografer and has deep knowledge of Berlin's unique history, but too modest thus the presentation of this photo-workshop-tour on the AirBnb is easily missed. Next time in Berlin I'll surely join this FotoBoot. Important note! The accomodation is the studio inside the familly home. Being new at AirBnb we imagine that it would be separated from the familly area. So, pls. take this on consideration. It maight not sute everybody. Gerhard amended the profile after our stay to emphasise this. In our next AirBnB's we chose only Entire Place.

Gerhard and his family made my stay in Berlin one of the best ever trips I have taken. The property is situated in a pretty and quiet suburb called Rummelsberg, surrounded by greenery and right by the lake (which is perfect for those who love a run in the morning by the water). The room itself was perfect for me - it's in the loft studio apartment with huge glass windows and lots of light. The attraction however was the warmth and friendliness of the hospitality of Gerhard and his family. I have never been to Germany before and to be welcomed so much so that I felt a part of their family, I was truly grateful. By the way, Gerhard is an amazing photographer and he has runs photo tours by boat - if you get a chance to, ask him about it because you get to see an entire side of Berlin that you normally never would. The boat ride and the sundowners, the breakfasts with the family and their dynamic daughter, the wonderful hospitality of their family - this made for the best Airbnb experience so far. I can't wait to come back to Berlin, and I definitely can't wait to stay here again.

I am note sure how I overlooked that Gerhard is a photographer but it only took minutes before he and Mike were talking techniques and the joy of photography and all of us sharing a cup of coffee in the kitchen. We loved the modern industrial yet warm feel of the home. The view from our space was nice but became spectacular at night with the lights of the city and the reflections on the water. Insights and suggestions were given and off we went. Great area for strolling, historical markers along the way and some tasty places to eat. We made use of the public transportation (and walking) to get to all locations we were interested in. Our hosts have a great understanding of the changes that Berlin has gone through with "The Wall" coming down. We very much appreciated them sharing this information.

You'll feel very confortable been at Gerhard's stylish house. His pictures will give you a precise idea of it. Also, a landscape out of the window is just beautiful and relaxing. From there you can see the lake and a park along it's border. Well located, easy getting the keys, free parking at his outdoor garage, Wi-fi, great kitchen. For those who are willing to see the history of Berlim walls raise and fall, you are going to the right place! He won't tell you if you don't ask, but he even has a nice photography book about it. Gehard's family was the best host I've could ever ask for. Thank you so much!!!
