The space

This is a wonderful little camper, and a work in progress. It has wood floors, a propane heater, stove, cooler, sink, and ample closet space. We will be upgrading this little gem, and are offering the space at a deep discount until then.

Solar shower and flush toilet, a short walk away. Note: solar heated showers offer the best experience in the afternoon, when the sun has had time to heat the water. Heated morning showers are not available.

Join us in our new Cantina & WiFi Cafe! Play pool, enjoy card and board games, charge your laptop/tablet/phone, imbibe in homemade beer & wine, pickup snacks and relax!

Shared meals are offered as an option, as well as other retreat services like acupuncture, massage, chiropractic, nutritional counseling, outdoor excursions, and more!

Free continental breakfast and coffee or tea, each morning.

Note: This is an off-grid experience. The camper does not have electricity. We do provide places to charge your phone or computer, solar and battery lanterns. It's a tiny camper, but surprisingly spacious and roomy. Two can sleep on the bed platform, and, if needed, a third person can sleep on the table area that converts to a single bed.

We DO NOT recommend open-toed shoes. Please pack appropriate camp clothing for the weather.

Guest access

You will have access to our 55 acres of high desert, including private walking/nature trails. You can also visit our beautiful and friendly goats, feed the chickens, and learn about sustainable agriculture, including our aquaponics system.

Interaction with guests

We meet our guests upon arrival, show them around, and allow them some time to get settled in. After an hour or so, we check in on them, to make sure everything is ok. We value your privacy, and give you as much space as you need.

Other things to note

Note: For any upgrades or added services, a 50% cancellation fee will be charged with notice less than 24 hours. Thanks for understanding!

The Adorkable Camper is a brilliant little set up... the perfect off-grid, old west experience. Everything was exactly as described. The trailer was rustic, yet nicely appointed and super comfy. Situated in the serene desert, it allowed for that 'getting away from it all' feeling, yet as a single, city girl, I felt totally safe there. The hosts were so warm and welcoming- there when I had questions, but not overbearing. Definitely add on a meal or two; Alisa's cooking is fantastic!

The camper is cozy and functional. The night sky with milky way was amazing. I liked watching fabulous sky in front of the camper and on the bed inside the camper. The morning-glow was also fantastic.

The camper was off the beaten path but well worth the detour. The hosts were fantastic, from communication to an amazing home cooked meal, the made sure we were enjoying our stay. My one year old daughter was with us and the ranch animals provided a fun experience for her. We made a lot of memories and will definitely remember our stay.

This is our third trip to Alisa's property and it won't be our last since we had an amazing time (as expected). It is always so fun to say hi to the animals and have the "glamping" experience. We love the firepits and enjoy reading in front of the campfire when we are there. The optional add on of breakfast and dinner is well worth the additional money. Alisa's food remains fantastic, both the vegetarian and meat-eating options. Phyllis and Alisa always have fantastic hiking and sight-seeing recommendations as well.

Hosts are wonderful! Camper is adorable! Very secluded and the sky is blanketed with stars at night it was unreal! We had a bonfire in front of the trailer and roasted marshmallows with our boys. We traveled with our 7 year old and 5 month old. To get an idea of size and space (we too are hosts [toy hauler] and just want to put this out there), our 5 month old uses a pack n play to sleep. We could only set it up one way at an angle and with that, there was no walking in the camper. We are a family used to small spaces so we had no complaints, it was (URL HIDDEN) a camper. Just putting this on so no one books with certain expectations and then is not satisfied and leaves a crummy review for these gals. We loved it there and had fun as a family! If you love camping (like we do) this place is definitely for you! The experience was no less than PERFECT!

Thanks for your visit - come back, soon - we'll be making some awesome improvements to the camper, converting it into a little casita. You'll love it - though it won't be any bigger, lol! Cheers!

This place is exactly what I was looking for/expecting. The ad is spot-on. A little camper, on a working ranch, in the middle of the desert. The hostess(es) are GREAT! They made sure everything was set up for me when I got there and checked in frequently (but not too frequently). If you're looking for the Ritz, this ain't it. However, I highly recommend this place to the avid, experienced, minimalist traveler. Also, the people, animals, views, sky, stars, and atmosphere are second to none.

Peaceful and quiet. Definitely off the beaten path. It was fun to see the animals on the farm and try the fresh goat's milk. The fresh eggs was great too. Communication with the Alisa and Bobi was really easy and helpful. I would recommend it if you're looking for something quiet and want to get to know a little more what it's like to live off-grid in Arizona.
