A special retreat for those who love unspoiled nature, endless views, fresh seafood & good wine.

"Il Baciarino" is composed of five casette (cottages) set in 19 acres of unspoiled land, nestled into an old growth oak and olive grove, 300m from the village of Vetulonia overlooking the Maremma coast & Castiglione della Pescaia in the distance.

The space

La Lucciola (The Firefly) is one of our five accommodations at Il Baciarino, an agriturismo in a unique location, surrounded by nature and incredible views.

A cozy self catering home with unobstructed views over the rolling Tuscan hills and Thyrennian sea in the distance, nestled into a lush private garden equipped with sun chairs, dining table and hammock.

A mezzanine loft (with view window) can accommodate an additional adult (or 2 small children) and an open and airy living space opens to a balcony with incredible panoramic views.

La Lucciola has a self catering kitchen and access to a private garden with sun chairs, dining table and hammock.

If you do not feel like cooking (or dining out in our small town), you can book a private dinner with Cucina di Andrea, a seafood menu served on our communal terrace.

Guest access

There is a common room at 150 mt from the casetta offering free wi-fi, books, informations, maps and a sofa to relax.

The apartment is lovely with an amazing view from the balcony. The perfect spot for breakfast in the morning. Clelia was very helpful and lives nearby so around to help with any queries. A lovely place to stay.

We arrived late, but that was not a problem for Clelia and we were treated with a stunning view the next morning! The place is stunning, small, but has everything we needed. Vetulonia is a very small town on top of a hill with typical Italien sceneries. We enjoyed watching the birds flying by and the donkeys with their braying (not often). Clelia is a very friendly and pleasant host!

We absolutely loved our stay with Clelia and Andrea - and could not have found kinder hosts or a more perfect place! An open space with kitchen opens to a balcony with stunning views of the surrounding Maremma hills. The main piazza of Vetulonia just a short stroll away - a charming hilltop town with Etruscan museum, great café/bar and convenient alimentari. A seafood dinner with "Cucina di Andrea", prepared on Clelia & Andrea's view terrace was another highlight!

Ciao, we are your hosts Clelia and Andrea.

We love nature, good manners and simpleness, because beauty is simple.

Meeting people from all over the world is the best part of this job and a great chance to enhance our life.

About us:
Andrea spent many of his younger years fishing on his family fishing boat and then selling the fish at their shop along with his recipes - with cooking and recipe experimenting turning into the most interesting part of his job.

Clelia spent a few years of her youth in London where she experienced the joy of meeting people and traditions from all over the world. Then she opened a bed and breakfast in Florence thanks to that experience she developed her hospitality skills.

These experiences, combined with our passion for a simple life, good quality food and wine, nature and the love for our job gives a special touch to "IL BACIARINO".

We aim to ensure you have a wonderful stay!
