This idyllic hideaway so far exceeded our expectations I hardly know where to begin. The setting, tranquil and beautiful. Not so remote as to be inconvenient, but enough to be completely removed from the noise of modern life. Nine adults and two children in our party and not once did we feel cramped. If we ever venture back to Cartersville, we would be so disappointed if this beautiful house was not available. Thank you Zach and Katherine for a perfect stay. Five stars isn't enough!

We arrived to a spectacular house in a beautiful location. There was also some Guinness and cookies to welcome us. Truly wonderful hosts. The rooms were huge airy and comfortable with air con and fans. The outside porch was perfect for a quiet coffee in a rocking chair. The back decking was fantastic for lunch while watching humming birds at the feeder. The place was so attractive we had more than a few guests for lunch ! Everyone wanted to visit. We were extremely busy with our sons wedding so didn't get to enjoy this place as much as we would have liked so we hope to return in a year or so to visit my new in laws in Cartersville. Thanks again Zach and Katherine we will be back soon. Hugh and Michele

This was our second time staying at this wonderful home. Walking in the front door felt like coming home. Driving up the rugged tree line road, it feels like you are driving into the wilderness but we were 10-30 minutes away from everything we could want: restaurants, shopping, grocery stores and a movie theater. Sitting on the back deck enjoying the cool evening air Friday evening, you could hear the local high school marching band in the distance but not see another home. It is such a peaceful place. I loved having access to the DVR, so I didn’t miss my favorite shows while I was out and about. The kitchen has everything you could ever need. The owner was very responsive and answered our questions quickly. She was available but not intrusive. The first time, we only stayed 5 nights and it wasn’t enough. This time we stayed 7 nights and it still wasn’t enough. This is my dream vacation home.

The space was as we expected and we were close enough to our Cartersville offices for easy access. It probably works better for a family get away. I think it is too rural for business travel.

Katherine and Zach have a nice big house that is *very private*, hidden away in the woods, far from any traffic or neighbors. I slept so well, and adjusted to East Coast time in just a day or two. I stayed there with my friends during Hurricane Irma; by the time it reached the house, the storm was a very mild rain for two days. It was so pretty! It did get pretty chili, but there are plenty of comforters and quilts on all of the beds to stay toasty warm. Katherine was so sweet. She called to inform us about the storm, and was very respectful of our schedule. I had some trouble navigating to the house from ATL, because (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps will put you about 30 minutes north if you go by address alone. Follow the directions provided in the invitation email, and you'll be Ok. The dirt road is very well kept, but it's REALLY dark at night. Use your high beams! Another thing to be aware of is how to get decent internet service out there. The hosts offer WiFi access, but they recommend using it only lightly since it does cost them extra. I brought a mobile access point with me, and an iPhone with mobile hotspot just in case. The mobile access point was great (it uses the Sprint LTE network) and had an excellent signal and decent service at 5 Mbps. That's a little better than my AT&T LTE service in the heart of San Francisco! Overall I was very pleased, and incredibly grateful to have such an accommodating host! I would love to stay there again.

Katherine bought our beautiful home just before September 11th, 2001, and it quickly became a refuge for family and friends to gather and share the important things in life! She is creative, and is an artist and writer. During her business career she owned several businesses, including an Irish Pub, and retired in 2014. Zach, her son, is an Epic Programmer for the University of Maryland Hospital System and currently lives in Baltimore with his wife, Laura. Her eldest son, Pehr, helps to manage Jeffersons in Cartersville. Katherine and Kuni live in Rockmart on a farm that invites boarding dogs for stay-vacations while their humans are on holiday.
