Marika San is definitely the type of host that all of us are looking for. Very detail and will give us the instruction clearly. She'll make sure everything goes well and we understand. Her house is near to the JR Yotsuya station & walking to the JR station is only five minutes. Location is good and quiet. It's only a stop away from Shinjuku.

Great place. The room is small but fair, like any other Japanese traditional houses. The towel has a pleasant scent, and the room is very tidy. Marika san is a loving host who gave us very specific and helpful instructions. I'd like to see her again, if their is chance.

Marika was a kind and helpful host. The apartment was very nice and located in a quiet alleyway neighborhood! Everything appeared as described. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Shinjuku.

Even Marika explained me very specifically. It is still a bit difficult to find the place. It is not far from subway station and I can take it to everywhere easily. The room is tidy and warm. Especially the price is very reasonable.

Marika was a nice host. I could always visit her and discuss a problem with her. She invited me to events and we were eating together and we had fun together. When I need something, I got it. When I travel to Tokyo, I can imagine living in the same apartment.

We arrived late about 12 am and we were lost to Marika's place. However we were lucky to have met an old lady in front of the Family Mart who offered an assistance to locate Marika's place. She is like an angel to us. Otherwise we might ended up sleeping at the roadside. This was our first experience booking via Airbnb. Thank God... Marika is very responsive and helpful.. 5stars to her

Anfitriona no recomendable.

Response from Marika:
Thanking for his stay in our property. His wife was friendly and beautiful. He has reserved a room in a sharing apartment however he has gotten an entire apartment for his private use as upgrade, I wanted to make him happy. I thought privacy was the most important however he didn't like it as he likes a sharing flat.He could simply tell me that he wants to switch to a sharing flat, I could easily arrange to let him put in a sharing apartment from the next day however he didn't tell me. He requested me to clean up the toilet in front of his eyes. I did it. He was teaching me how to do. He was cimplaining in his e-mail sent after 8 days from his departure as I didn't finish cleaning within 30 minutes. He was complaining that the inside of the microwave was dirty after 8 days from his departure. I was sorry for it however I could clean it up if told during his stay. He also complained after 8 days from his departure that the laundry hanging clips were in the balcony not in the apartment, he could simply bring it from the balcony to the inside of the apartment, didn't need to complain. Many of our guests like to dry their towels in the balcony not in the humid bathroom. He complained about tatami mats, there were tatami mats under his futon and if he wanted more tatami mats, we could easily bring within ten minutes as our tatami mats are portable type. Some foreigners are allergetic to tatami smell, we keep tatami away put under the futon or keep in our office until they request. If he wanted to have tatami mats in his room, he could tell me during his stay not after 8 days from his departure. He also complained about the sleeping linen. As we have been running our rental apartment since 20 years, we have a good reputation and many repeating guest in the all over the world, especially in Europe. He accused me for using used linen however we never do it as it is the principle thing and we have been accepting guests for 20 years, I have given him a totally new set of linen to make him happy. He complained that he could not sleep due to the sunrise. He could use the paper "Shoji" window that was kept inside of the closet in his apartment, it is a nice one, an order made. If requested during his stay it could be easily settled in our side. Until his stay we had 25 different guests group in the apartment however they all said they prefer enjoying the sunshine as shoji paper window makes the room dark. It was pity that he didn't request his wish during his stay but complain after his departure. If we knew what he wanted during his stay, we could make him much happeir. Normally guests enjoy my hospitality and came back to me many (URL HIDDEN) was pity that he didn't enjoy his stay with us. It was a good lesson for me, from this experience I started to ask every single guest how is the stay, if everything is all right or if the guest needs (URL HIDDEN) was very good that he stayed in our apartment, I thank his stay, it has given me a good lesson.I send him my best wishes from Tokyo.
