Hello, I have lived in Muswell Hill for 36 years which is a great place to live and very different from Macduff in Scotland where I was brought up. As I love interior design my dream came true when were able to renovate the cottage at number 12. I still have photographs showing the outside toilet, the gas lights and the old kitchen which I have put in the visitors book. Although I do not paint myself my eldest daughter is a portrait painter and some examples of her work is shown in the cottage. I like reading, encouraged by my younger daughter who is an amazing teacher and have left several books. Every week John, my husband, and I visit somewhere different in London and go to the cinema, either in the Everyman in Muswell Hill or The Picture House in Crouch End regularly. We do not have a car because the transport in London is excellent and we sometimes use Zipcar with several Zipcar locations nearby, if we wish to travel further afield . But the best thing that happened to me last year was that I became a granny and Athena is her name and she certainly is a goddess. The clue is in her name as she is half Greek and Athens is a favourite destination of my husbands. I love the architecture in Amsterdam and would like to visit Denmark next. Airbnb gives us the opportunity to meet so many different people.
