Escape to the tranquility of nature in our spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin nestled right on the banks of picturesque Pine Creek. Black Bear Lodge offers a cozy yet expansive haven for up to 10 guests, making it the ideal setting for the whole family. Guests have direct access to Pine Creek. The cabin also has a hot tub with a perfect view of the Creek. Black Bear Lodge is strategically situated- 15 miles to the PA Grand Canyon, 2 miles to downtown Galeton, and 20 miles to Wellsboro.

The space
The property sits on about 6 acres and has a huge back yard with the perfect spot for for campfires. The back yard leads you directly to Pine Creek, the largest tributary of the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and popular area for fly fishing. There is a large garage on the property but, guests will not have access to that. There are 3 total bedrooms, 5 total beds, and 2 bathrooms. The loft bedroom upstairs in the cabin has a full bed in the main living space AND a queen bed in a small side room/closet off of the main bedroom. The main floor has a queen bed and is right across the hall from the main bathroom. The downstairs (basement) has another bedroom with a full bed. In the downstairs living room, there is a rustic log futon that pulls out to a full bed as well. The downstairs area does have a full bathroom as well.

Guest access
Guests will have access to ALL parts of the cabin and property except for the garage, two supply closets downstairs, AND the INDOOR fireplace (This is off limits for guests due to safety reasons and because our insurance company won't let us offer it to guests).

Other things to note
We do not supply firewood for guests. If you would like firewood, please let us know and we can point you in the right direction. Propane is provided for guests.

The cabin is perfect location and close to so many well-known attractions!

Again, just want to point out and list here that the indoor fireplace is NOT AVAILABLE for guests to use (This is due to safety concerns and our insurance company not allowing it).

This cabin does have sulfur water, which has a distinctive odor but is completely harmless, ensuring a safe and enjoyable stay. Sulfur water is safe to use and consume. The sulfur compounds are not harmful in the concentrations found in well water.
