The space

Spacious and luminous 120 sqm apartment with three double bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower and three balconies. The apartment is perfect for combining swimming and beach leisure with sightseeing in Venice, one of the worlds most romantic and beautiful places! The Biennale area is reachable by Vaporetto boat in just 5 minutes. Lido has lots of nice restaurants, cafés and exclusive shops in the near area.

Lido di Veneza is a truly beautiful and peaceful place, with lots of possibilities for recreation. The main street Santa Maria Elisabetta (Gran Viale) is full of restaurants, cafés, shops, delicatessen etc. Visitors, tourists and regulars alike join each other for either a cappuccino and a snack during the day time or a refreshing Spritz as an appetizer before going to dinner (or more cocktails...). Lido is mainly a holiday resort for Italians, but there is also a strong element of international visitors there. The temperature in summer is around 30 C. The Lido beach is defined as a "Blue Flag Beach".

This is a beautifully light and spacious apartment - in fact the photos cannot do justice to how big the apartment it! I booked this place as a special birthday treat for my Mother so that as a family of six we could visit Venice. We were not disappointed! The flat is well placed near the main road where you can walk (15mins) or take a bus to the port to get boats across to Venice or the other islands. We paid 60 euros for the week ACTV boat pass which you can also use on the buses and used this to visit Venice, Murano and a lovely beach called Alberoni which is to the south of the Lido (again catch the bus from the main road near the apartment. Petter is an excellent host and I would thoroughly recommend this place for exploring Venice.

Great location, very close to the centre and beach as well as boat port. The apartment was very big and decorated lovely. The light in the lounge hangs very low and is actually really really sharpe so watch your head!, we all learnt the hard way!

Close to Vaporetto stop. Bus every 10 mins or walk takes about 10 mins. Lovely apartment

I stayed at Petter's place with two friends. The spacious apartment with the three bedrooms was perfect for us. The flat is in a quiet neighbourhood and it takes only 10 minutes to walk to Lido centre from there. I can highly recommend this apartment, since it offers a great mixture between enjoying Lido (e.g. the beach), and doing some sightseeing on the main island of Venice.

An absolutely beautiful apartment in an affluent residential neighbourhood on the lido. Generously (I am guessing a combination of the owner and past guests) cupboards are stocked with everything from coffee and sugar in the kitchen, Prosecco and wine in the fridge to various shampoos etc in the bathroom. Petter is highly communicative making booking to arrival extremely simple. It is a delightful 10 mins walk to the water bus or buses pass every few minutes. We found staying on the lido and popping over the water for the touristy bits and dinner to be a far more relaxing way of staying in Venice and avoiding the crowds, by staying on the lido you are amongst the locals as found when we ate at "Cucina" a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. My friends and I have already recommended this apartment to friends we were so delighted with our stay.

This was a perfect apartment for a quiet holiday in Venice, enabling us to use the vaporetto to do all the tourist bit, and then return to Lido to choose a local eatery or shop in the excellent supermarket and cook in the very well equipped kitchen. Our travel cards covered the journey from the bus stop at the corner of the street to the vaporetti pier. The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the two bathrooms and the little balconies. The 71 stairs weren't a problem for any of us and although Lisa doesn't speak much English, she met us and was able to explain all we needed to know. Petter was a brilliant communicator, with almost instant replies to any (sometimes silly!) questions. We could easily imagine living in the apartment as it was a really stylish home from home. Will most certainly return and hope to have time to wander to the beach next time. The small hot water tank had been pointed out to the four of us by Petter and we planned accordingly, although it may cause problems in the morning for a full house of six adults. This is an exceptional Airbnb listing .
