Bernal Heights is an intimate, village-like community and is family, gay, and dog-friendly. There are 3 great parks nearby, along with restaurants and cafes including Marlena, Black Jet Bakery, The Front Porch, Piqueos Peruvian, Emmy’s Spaghetti Shack, Tacos El Patron, and El Buen Comer.

I’ve lived in Bernal Heights for almost 20 years and really enjoy sharing the in-law studio with Airbnb guests. I have a graduate degree is in urban planning and that’s what I do professionally. I stay physically active and like swimming at Aquatic Park in the bay, road biking - mostly in Marin, and running from home around Bernal Hill to Glen Park and Noe Valley. So far I don’t have any pets but love dogs, and hope to get one soon! I practice insight meditation regularly and have for many years.
