Also, home to the local working sheepdog demonstration team. Located in a small village on the Pennine Way; the renowned Hardraw force, England's highest waterfall is a 5 minute stroll. The Green Dragon Inn is less than 5 minutes walk. The small market town of Hawes is a 20 minute walk, with plenty of shops and pubs.

A 10-minute drive away is Haweswater which is a great place to have a very peaceful hill walk. In the other direction, Pooley Bridge is more populated and offers diversions such as hiring a rowing boat or travelling up the Lake on a steamer.
