“Just as Choclate, Waffles and French fries, Belgium is also known for its beer. One of Antwerp’s city based breweries is still active today. You can visit/experience the iconic De Koninck brewery of Antwerp in an interactive way and learn how Belgian beers are brewed. At the end of the tour, lots of shops and restaurants can be found. The brewery is on a walking distance 2 blocks back on the Mechelsesteenweg 291.”

“Make sure to bring a well-filled wallet for this michelin starred restaurant of chef Sergio Herman. Set in a fully renovated church, the ambiance is unique and the food and wines are worth it. They do have a ''simpler'' food bar upstairs, if you'd like to grab a bite in a less formal setting. Reserve weeks/months ahead. ”

“We are super lucky to have this cozy restaurant just right next door! Mampoko serves very traditional flemish food with good price, good portion, and quality taste. They also have a lovely terrace where we always see people having a drink or a meal. It's really the spot where locals go. They also have quite nice brunch on weekends. Please make sure to make a reservation as this place can be packed especially on weekends. This is the number one restaurant I would suggest people to go as it's a very relaxing place with good quality and price. And it's just next door so it's a good choice, especially you feel a bit tired from the day and just want to eat something nice without much effort. ”

“This is a Turkish restaurant located in Zuid. I don't know what authentic Turkish food tastes like as I haven't been to Turkey. But from the amount of people sitting in the restaurant and my "addiction" to their food, I'd say you would come back for that! The great location also allows you to enjoy some late afternoon sunshine and the beautiful surroundings in Zuid. ”

“Ciro's is an institution in Antwerp. Time stood still here.... You got the impression to have walked in a film from the 60ties or 70ties. But the place is known for the best meat in town! Lots of belgian actors and artists like to come and dine here. Hard to get a table as always full! ”
