  • David and Nancy were great hosts, along with their daughter Molly. They all made, including Dodger, my daughter and I feel welcome. It was great to talk life and baseball with them!! The home is in a great location and allows the visitors to get the small town feel of Cooperstown. This was a perfect spot for our short stay.

  • Very nice stay, perfect location to walk around ten, then easy drive to Ommengang for concert. Room was spacious, bed very comfortable. Hosts very friendly, overall great stay.

  • David and Nancy are great hosts, and their house was very nice. It was clean and cozy. David and Nancy were super accommodating, friendly, and fun to talk to. I highly recommend their place to anyone planning a trip to Cooperstown!

  • David and Nancy sent messages ahead of time letting us know about a local festival that was taking place during our stay, gave recommendations for dinner restaurants, and suggested we make reservations because of the festival. It was incredibly thoughtful of them to ensure that our anniversary weekend went smoothly, and they even baked a special dessert to help us celebrate the occasion. Their dog, Dodger, is very friendly. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious and very clean. The neighborhood is right in the middle of Cooperstown, a few minutes walk from the Hall of Fame, yet is a very quiet neighborhood. We highly recommend our hosts David and Nancy.

    Jessica2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a great stay provided by both David and Nancy! Their large house was perfectly situated just a block from Cooperstown's Main Street and a short drive to the Glimmerglass Festival and Lake Otsego. The private bedroom is cozy and quiet enough for a nice night's sleep or just a cool retreat from the summer heat. In addition to the great hosts, you will also be greeted by their affectionate dog, Dodger. Their Bnb shall be remembered for many more bookings to come.

  • We had a great time in Cooperstown and much of it was due to David and Nancy's hospitality and graciousness. Our room was clean and comfortable and so convenient to the Hall of Fame and all of Cooperstown's many attractions. This was our first experience with Airbnb and it exceeded all our expectations. We'll be sure to recommend David and Nancy to our friends and relatives.

The wee house is perfect for a cozy visit to Cooperstown or for a temp worker at Bassett Hospital. We have on site parking and are a short walk from the hospital. We live upstairs and can help with anything you need. Space is private, clean, and way better than a hotel! This is the smaller winter edition of what was formerly listed as the un painted post. You can find the upainted post reviews it is listed with the same cover photo. The larger area is only available in the summer.
  • Thank you for such a great stay! The Dun Wee Inn is very cozy and comfortable with great amenities!

Our studio apartment has all the comforts of home. We are a comfortable walk or bike ride to the Hall of Fame, historic downtown, the Farmer's Museum and beautiful Otsego Lake. A 24-hour grocery store is around the corner and we're close to the Trolley that will take you all over Cooperstown in the summer.
The studio apartment is in the back of our home and is modern and comfortable. There are double-locking doors separating the apartment from our home, so you have full privacy. There is also a full deck with a bbq & table out your door for you to enjoy. We are here to help, so please let us know if there's anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable!
Our neighborhood is wonderful for children. There are 2 great playgrounds in walking distance, as well as the grocery store and the gym. The neighbors are polite and the houses are beautiful.
  • Angelica and Orion's property was perfect for our needs.....walking distance to town, spotless and the amenities we look for when we are away from home. We couldn't have made a better choice. The hosts were there when we needed their help and especially appreciated Orion's advice on where to go cross-country (URL HIDDEN) saved us a great deal of travel time. We fell in love with Cooperstown and plan to return and would hope that this property is available to us again.

  • Nestled on a serene, tree-lined street just minutes away and within easy walking distance from the village, this cozy, spacious, and comfortable apartment is an ideal place to stay when visiting historic Cooperstown! This was our first time using Airbnb and while the reviews and everything we read were very positive, we didn't know what to expect. This experience exceeded our expectations. The apartment and its furnishings are modern and nicely maintained, with beautiful houseplants and other thoughtful and special touches that make a visitor feel right at home. We especially appreciated the sweet twinkle lights that our hosts placed on the back porch, lighting the way for us and making it easy to find at night. Angelica and Orion are wonderful hosts. Angelica was very helpful through the reservation process and upon meeting her and Orion in person, we found them both to be very friendly, welcoming, and happy to offer suggestions about things to do, places to see and where to eat in the area. We recommend this place highly!

  • Angelica and Orion's place is very clean and comfortable. It is within walking distance to Cooperstown's restaurants/bars, cute shops, and the baseball hall of fame. Angelica and Orion were very accommodating and communicated respectfully. I would recommend their place to anyone looking for a nice comfortable apartment within walking distance to main attractions in Cooperstown.

  • Such a cute place. My husband and I came to Cooperstown for a long weekend and the location was beyond ideal. Super quick walk into town, easily accessible by a short ride to allo other attractions (Ommegang Brewery for example). It was also extremely helpful having the option to cook meals. We cooked breakfast every day and even enjoyed the back deck and grill. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend it to anyone staying in Cooperstown!

    Catherine2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Angelica's apartment is cozy and has all you need. Comfortable bed, good water pressure in shower. Parking space in Cooperstown a huge plus. I walked to the Hall of Fame in 13 minutes thru a lovely town. Angelica is a kind host who communicates well. Recommended.

  • Quiet & cozy apartment within walking distance of downtown and quick access to the road to Ommegang. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Cooperstown - hosts were friendly and accommodating.

    Peter2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Angelica was a wonderful host, showing us the whole space and recommending local places to eat. The apartment was clean (and freshly painted, it seemed!). The location was perfect in relation to town, and the co-work space was also helpful to me as a freelancer. Her whole family was kind and helpful, and they even have a friendly cat named Sophie that is an additional "greeting committee". Would gladly stay there again.

    Beth2016-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Angelica was very helpful and responded quickly when we had questions. The apartment was just what we needed - comfy sheets, beautiful back deck, and well-stocked kitchen made it even better.

Terrific apartment, conveniently located 2 blocks from Cooperstown's idyllic Main Street. Owners live downstairs, you'll have the entire 2nd floor apartment to yourself - 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen & bathroom. Off street parking for one vehicle. We are only 5 miles from Cooperstown Dreams Park and Brewery Ommegang.
Two blocks from Main Street, in a quiet residential neighborhood. Totally self-contained apartment with private entrance, come & go as you please. Owners are downstairs to answer any questions, make activity or restaurant recommendations or just provide a friendly face.
It really is "The Perfect Village!" Victorian & Colonial homes line our residential streets, and Main Street comes straight from a postcard. Any time of year is perfect for your Cooperstown vacation.
  • We hit the worst traffic ever on the drive in, and our 4 1/2 hour drive turned into a 7 hour drive. Even though we didn't arrive until 11pm Peter was incredibly gracious and stayed up to show us the apartment. The apartment was only a couple blocks from downtown Cooperstown. It was an incredibly lovely vacation and we'll definitely come back!

    Christin2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the house for a weekend wedding with some friends and had a great time! The house is lovely, spacious, clean, cozy and comfortable. Peter was very helpful and nice. Will definetly recommend it and will go visit again.

    Ana2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Location was perfect - just a few blocks from downtown Cooperstown with restaurants, bars, and HOF. 2BR one bath apartment was perfect for two couples. Bedrooms are on opposite ends of the apartment with living space in the middle. We had two cars and even though there is only one off-street spot we had no problem maneuvering the street parking. Overall this was a fantastic trip!

    John2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay

    Theo2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Peter and Kristen were wonderful hosts. We had a busy wedding weekend, so we didn't really see much of them, but it was so nice that they welcomed us as we arrived and gave us the lay of the land. The main street is only 2 blocks away, so it was very convenient being so close to everything. There was some street noise, but that's what you get when you are in the heart of things. It really didn't bother me, even though I'm used to the silence of the countryside at home. This was our first experience with AirBNB, and we are so pleased with our experience. The apartment was spotless and beautiful. Plenty of room for the 3 of us to stretch out. I would absolutely stay here again, and probably will within the next year or two. Peter was always quick to respond to my questions in email, and they are the perfect hosts!

    Jennifer2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Peter and Kristen were great hosts. The apartment was very clean, well appointed, and in a great location - less than a five minute walk to Main Street. Would highly recommend!

    Sarah2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Peter and Kristen went above and beyond what was required as hosts. They were so gracious, accommodating and pleasant that it made our stay fantastic. Their home was beautiful and well-equipped with everything we needed to make our stay a home away from home. I highly recommend this place and would definitely return time and time again.

This is a great space because it is right in the middle of the village , great location for all seasons! Cozy bed with private shower and bath through out your stay.
  • Alice and Sergio are very friendly and welcoming. Although the home is in the midst of some renovation, it was clean and tidy. Sergio is a master craftsman and the molding that he has installed and is installing is beautiful. The ceiling in the tiny bathroom is a masterpiece. The bedroom is small, but has a lot of storage space. They have done a good job of representing the space in the pictures.

    Mary Jane2016-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Alice was a superb host---our best airbnb experience to date. The room is small, but has its own bathroom, and there is plenty of common space in the large home and out back to sit and relax in the evenings. The kitchen has coffee and tea always available. Moreover, Alice was always around or reachable via text to answer any questions, suggest restaurants, etc. She even gave us fresh vegetables from her garden to take home with us. I would stay here again in a second.

    Emily2014-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The house, neighborhood, and town were absolutely stunning and Alice was so unbelievably helpful. She had coffee ready for us when we had to leave at 5am on our departure day and was an awesome hostess! This was my 3rd trip to Cooperstown and I can't imagine staying anywhere else!

    Taylor2015-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • My parents and I stayed at Alice's place for the Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2014. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The house is gorgeous, the host was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location couldn't be beat. I would recommend Alice's place to anyone looking for a dream weekend in Cooperstown!

    Matt2014-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Alice is one of the most gracious hosts we've experienced staying with. Before we even stepped foot in her home she was very accommodating with her communication and in waiting up for us after we explained that we'd be up a lot later than the check-in time. She greeted us happily, helped carry some bags and although we only booked one room, she allowed us full access to her home. She was very easy going and spirited. The room was beyond cozy, with a very plush bed and a adorable private bathroom. The kitchen was fully stocked and we were pretty much allowed to use and access everything available to us. We had a really great time, and if ever in Cooperstown again, we know exactly who to look up. Thanks for having us! -Victor & Inessa

  • Alice is a great host! I arrived at 10 pm and was having trouble seeing house numbers, but Alice was already out and waiting at the end of her driveway to guide me. The room was clean and cozy, and the location can’t be beat!

    Bettina2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • There are not enough words that can express how truly incredible both Alice and Sergio are. They were so kind, generous, and welcoming it makes you feel like you are coming home to see Mom and Dad after a long trip away. Not only was their hospitality unparalleled, their home is incredibly beautiful, comforting, and tranquil. We spent most of our evenings chatting with them for hours in their kitchen like old friends catching up with each others lives. The only bad thing about our stay, was that it was way too short :). If we are ever up in Cooperstown again, we will definitely be staying with them again. Thank you both again for an incredible weekend getaway!!!

    Yamil2014-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Alice and Sergio were great. We were there to see my son play at Dreams park. They were so nice and really treated us like family. It was so helpful having someone to give you tips about where to go in town. It made us feel like locals. I would highly recommend them!!!!! Our room was great. Very comfortable. I would love to go back.

  • Great combination of hip and historical. Everything is comfy and shiny new. Staff is really friendly. They were super easy going about my request to prop open outside doors in the stairwells that had just been painted. (I'm annoyingly sensitive to off -gassing.) Easy walk to downtown.

Plenty of room for the three of us and we made full use of the kitchen. The location was very convenient to walking to Cooperstown Main Street and to the Clark Sports complex for HOF induction ceremony. Highly recommended.

  • The listing description was completely accurate. Though we were a little behind schedule arriving, Alice was 100% responsive via text message and was there to let us into the house and show us the ropes when we arrived. Alice and Sergio's home is located a 10 minute walk from Cooperstown's Main Street and a 15 minute walk from Lake Otsego--a perfect location. Alice and Sergio were very generous, even offering breakfast and homemade soap in addition to the room we rented. They effortlessly helped us feel like we were staying with friends or family. And we loved hearing stories about life in Cooperstown and beyond.

  • If you are spending any time in Cooperstown, this home is only two blocks from the downtown area where the ballpark and Hall of Fame are located. I was visiting by myself, so it was kind of fun to stay with a family, who made me feel at home. Everything was wonderful. Alice is a very nice host and I easily will stay there again if I can. The only negative I would say is that three boarders had to share the same bathroom.

    Lenny2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • This house and stay were great. Alice was there for us every step of the way and took amazing care of us during our stay. Downtown is a 5 minute walk and the price is very fair.

  • We had a perfect stay with Alice and Sergio. Their charming house is scrupulously clean and convenient to everything. The house feels uncluttered yet full of interesting things that reflect Alice's deep roots in the Cooperstown area. We enjoyed fresh fruit, yogurt, and farm-fresh hard boiled eggs each morning. Alice was able to direct us easily to the places we wanted to visit in her generous, friendly fashion. An A+ in every way!

  • Roberta was a fantastic host. She was responsive, super nice, knowledgeable of the area, and very accommodating. My friends and I were in a pinch to find a place to stay, and Roberta seriously helped us out. The Retreat was a perfect place to stay in Cooperstown. It was spacious, comfortable, clean, quiet, and stocked with almost all of the essentials. Roberta even swung by one afternoon because she realized that we didn't have salt and pepper. We were able to reach downtown Cooperstown from the Retreat in a few minutes by car, and we were only a 10 minute drive to the Ommegang Brewery. I highly recommend contacting Roberta if you're planning a trip to Cooperstown!

  • What a wonderful place to stay in "Baseball Country." Patti and Steve made us feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. They gave us an overview of the village, places to go and local restaurants to visit. Sitting with Steve next to the fireplace was delightful way to learn about the history of the town. We loved our stay there. Highly recommended. Two thumbs up!!

  • We greatly enjoyed our stay at Rose and Thistle. The room was charming, nothing to find fault with. Great to have off-street parking. The breakfast itself was an unexpected delight. Every morning something different. Also the price was so much better than the Holiday Inn Express or whatever it was. We haven't really stayed at many B&Bs of this type, so we may not be as discriminating as some, but we certainly had a wonderful stay!

    John2013-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was just our second B and B experience and The Rose and Thistle far exceeded our expectations. Our hostess was friendly and warm and an excellent cook! Morgan the Westie was very cute...and they both made us feel welcome. Our room was cozy with a king bed and lots of daylight. The front porch was spacious and the parlour was relaxing! The location was excellent and close to all things Cooperstown and area.

    John2016-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Rose and Thistle is the best bed and breakfast! The reason is because of the wonderful host, Patti! Everything was much more than we expected. The room was clean and tidy with daily housekeeping. The house was gorgeous with a huge, open porch perfect for wonderful conversation. Patti made us feel right at home. She was so incredible. Patti's an amazing chef! Each morning a unique and delicious breakfast was served on beautiful dishes. Coffee, juice, and water were served with each morning. Breakfast started with a yummy fruit dish followed by a scrumptious main dish. Each morning was different which was really fun! The house is located one mile from the main street in Cooperstown. It was an easy walk for my husband and I each day. There is also a wonderful restaurant across the street from the house. We would highly recommend The Rose and Thistle to a couple ready to have fun in Cooperstown. You will love Patti! We will definitely stay again when we return to Cooperstown.

  • A great place to stay when visiting Cooperstown

    Michael2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • If you're heading to Cooperstown, this is the place to stay. Great location. Great host. Great food. Couldn't say more great things about Patti & the Rose & Thistle.

    Mick2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we arrived, Patti made us feel right at home. She quickly dispensed with the nuts and bolts of the keys and lights and the particulars of our room and whet our appetites for the next morning's breakfast before asking us what we might need in terms of any dining or recreational recommendations for our stay. We immediately felt we were in good hands, and our stay was wonderful, from our charming and comfortable room with everything we might need and more to the AMAZING breakfast spread Patti presented each morning to her guests (different menu, different table linens, napkin rings, and table ware each day: a visual and culinary feast rolled into one!). Breakfast is @ 8:30 for all guests and conversation flows amidst the "mmms" and "ahhs" of deliciousness. Patti never misses a beat and anticipates her guests' every need. When everyone is duly sated, she shares stories relevant to the conversation threads being woven around the table. When asked what guests' plans are, Steve is ready with recommendations for the best Cooperstown and the surrounding area has to offer the native residents in terms of eateries and he is spot on! Patti and Steve have a wealth of knowledge about all the doings in Cooperstown and thereabouts and their cache of warmth and hospitality can't be matched.

Friendly hosts who love this town and are available to make your stay here the best! Book now for your 2018 Summer Baseball vacation or your Family Dreams Park Week! Thanks, Nancy Dunn
The home is an older historic home built in 1880. The garage was actually built as a carriage house. There is a grill and laundry facility available for guest use. The care taker lives on premises and is available if you need anything or have any questions. Your guest space is completely private. You have a fully equipped full size kitchen with counter bar space. A laundry area. A private porch. A private full size bath room. A large bedroom with a tv -- no channels but it has a dvd player. There is a private nook off of the bedroom with a bunk bed. The house is most suitable for one couple and a couple of kids. The sleeping space does not comfortably accommodate more than one couple.
Susquehanna is a beautiful street with older homes. Our home is located about a block and a half from the top of main street and is across the street from Doubleday field. The main attractions here: Baseball in all shapes and forms, the Farmer's Museum, the Fennimore Art Museum, the Cooper cemetery, Lake beaches, Omegang Brewery, and a whole lot of natural beauty all year long!!
  • Beautiful home in a beautiful location. We managed to snag a stay here for hall of fame weekend and it was amazing. Five minute to the hall of fame and a mile walk to the induction ceremony. The hostess Nancy was helpful throughout the whole weekend. We had everything we needed and she was very knowledgeable about the town and locations within it. Would absolutely stay again

    David2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy was great - very helpful in helping us find family friendly activities, including providing toys and games for the kids. The location was fantastic, being a very short walk to the Hall of Fame and Doubleday Field.

  • Great location! The owner's daughter Nancy is awesome. She answered al of our questions, helped us pick restaurants, guided us on what to do, etc.. She met us at check in and we got to meet her family. Wonderful people with kind hearts and welcomed us like we were family. Will stay here again and recommend them to everyone we know!

    Kyla2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great location a short walk from Cooperstown’s Main Street. Did not stay here but reserved this location for out-of-town guests, who said: “Nancy was a terrific host.”

    Derrick2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • This home could not be more perfect for anytime spent in Cooperstown. Nancy who runs things for her Dad was great in terms of communication and could not have been more friendly upon check in! We feel like we made a new friend in Cooperstown! The location is beyond perfect just a short 1-2 blocks walk to "downtown" and about 5-6 blocks to the Baseball Hall of Fame. We completely recommend Nancy and Altons home for a stay in Cooperstown!

    Jason2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum! It's a quick walk to the Hall and all of the other attractions downtown and the house and neighborhood worked great for our crew of 5 (two adults and 3 kids). Our host Nancy was incredibly helpful and was available whenever we needed anything. We will definitely be staying here again!

  • This apartment was very clean, comfortable, and a very convenient location. Will is a great host. It was perfect for me and my 9 year old daughter. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only reason I wasn't sure if I would recommend to other families is because there is no yard space, no extra room to play in apartment, and you would want to be considerate of the noise level because of others staying in the other apartments.

    Deborah2017-07-07T00:00:00Z

Our room and the entire home was clean, charming and everything we had hoped. In addition, its location could not have been more perfect or charming; we were able to take beautiful walks to everywhere we wanted to be. We look forward to visiting again in the near future.

  • Alice was a great host and welcomed us right into their home. The location was very convenient and within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. We were in town for a wedding so we didn't have a lot of free time, but they were always ready to give us recommendations on where to eat and things to do!

    Vanessa2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Alice and Sergio are gracious hosts who enjoy having guests. They are conversational and quick with informed recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Their home reminded me of my Grandma's old house, charming and comfortable and full of interesting local knick-knacks. The kitchen is a comfortable place to sit and enjoy coffee or tea along with whatever Alice may may have made that day (she is a good cook). Best of all it is well located - a short walk to all the Cooperstown Village attractions.

    David2014-08-20T00:00:00Z

  • Alice & Sergio's home was my first experience with Air B&B, and it was a outstanding one. She made us feel very welcome from the moment we met her until we left. Her place is very charming and clean. The bed sheets, towels, and attention to details in her decoration makes this a very soothing stay. Definitely going back again :)

  • Alice & Sergio were absolutely wonderful. It happened to be the first Air B&B experience on both ends, and it could not have gone better! The apt was even better than pictured, I could not recommend it more. Amazing location, we were able to see so much of Cooperstown within walking distance. Alice is an amazing host and recommended so many wonderful spots. Such a fabulous escape from Manhattan -- farmer's market, Origins Café and Alice's iced tea are absolute must do's. Can't say enough, such an amazing trip!!
