History Museum
“Founded in 1960, it was built in the seventeenth century as the Bel Air House and is the oldest building in Montmartre. During its heyday, 12 rue Cortot served as a residence and meeting place for many artists including Auguste Renoir, Suzanne Valadon and Émile Bernard, who held their studios here, as well as the fauve artists Emile Othon Friesz and Raoul Dufy. Certainly one of the most charming museums in Paris.”

“It's the park in front of our window! It is a low profile but pretty park, with gym equipment for workouts, basketball court for playing (we have a ball and a pump, you can ask us!), playgrounds for children and a theater right on the spot.”

“With a beautiful carrousel at the bottom and Sacre Coeur at the top, don't miss this lovely park with winding trails, flowers and benches. If you can't handle the steps, there are sloped trails and even a funicular to get you to the cathedral.”

“The old Paris railway transformed into a shared garden. Hidden, quiet and beautiful - feels like a house garden in the countryside. You can go with your drinks and food and sit on the tables.”

“Un jardin de 2500 m2, laissé plus ou moins friche avec un petit cours d'histoire de Montmartre et de botanique. Situé juste à côté du vignoble de Montmartre, laissé longtemps à l'abandon, la nature y a repris ses droits de manière anarchique. Repris par les botanistes, on peut y trouver des plantes sauvages au milieu des arbres et autour de la mare. ”

“A hidden park you can enjoy even in ducks' weather (and the ducks enjoy it too). For sport and running, les Jardins d'Eole public park on the other side of the railway tracks is more suitable.”
