Park
“South Mountain Park in Phoenix, Arizona is the largest municipal park in the United States, and one of the largest urban parks in North America and in the world. It has been designated as a Phoenix Point of Pride. 16,000-acre area with many trails, wildlife & a drivable road to a lookout with sweeping city views”

Steakhouse

“This place is practically in our back yard and the views are AMAZING. You can see just about all of Phoenix from their patio! It’s western themed in the funnest way possible, and the steaks are great (they also have rattlesnake on the menu!) We’d also recommend this place for kids because they have a huge slide, rodeo clowns that make balloon animals for kids, live music, and a real live bull out front named “horny.” A popular spot for birthdays and celebrations as well (with the biggest slice of chocolate cake I’ve ever seen). It’s really someplace you should see and we’re fortunate to live so close to it!”

“Interesting history of this unique rambling house built in the 1930's. The story was featured in Life Magazine (Jan. 1948)”

Trail
“I love hiking this trail in the morning when there is still a coolness left over from the previous night. Watching the sunrise is spectacular. It’s a fairly easy trail but still gets my blood pumping. Pets are Welcome on this trail and most people I’ve ran into have a smile on their face and a welcoming aura .”

Breakfast Spot

“This is our FAVORITE cafe in town. We’ve never had something from the menu we didn’t like. Their breakfast is great, and they have a great selection of beers too (including bottles/cans to take home). Also the bill for the two of us ends up being about $35 before tip, so they’re affordable too! Try the Blue Sky salad (with chicken depending on your preference), or combine it with a half sandwich by ordering the “50/50””

Trail
“This is also a favorite of mine. I like this one because there are two ways that you’re able to go. One is a much longer and harder trail while the other one is still challenging but shorter. And normally there are enough people on the trail that for me finding my way has been easy.”
