“Tenorio National Park (approximately 73 kilometers) is where the famous Celeste River is located. The river is named for its baby-blue hue created as copper sulfate and colloidal silica react with sulfur in the merging rivers. The park also includes a diverse array of flora and fauna, including pumas, tapirs, howler monkeys, squirrels, bromeliads, palms, ferns and much more. ”

“Hike, long walk to waterfalls, pack and little meal and stay for awhile and enjoy. Also you can enjoy what the park has to offer has far as canopy tours, rafting, tubbing, horse back riding and more! Enjoy the natural hot springs and mud bath experience as well. You do not need a tour guide for any of these experiences. About a 1:35 min drive from Tamarindo ”

Natural Feature
“ La Paz (Spanish: "the peace") is a waterfall in central Costa Rica. In Spanish, it is known as Catarata de La Paz. It is 31 kilometres (19 mi) north of Alajuela, between Vara Blanca and Cinchona. The waterfall is located immediately alongside the road from Alajuela that leads to the northern plains of Costa Rica. The River La Paz forms the waterfall after traversing 8 kilometres (5 mi) of volcanic terrain, and then continues through the rainforest of the eastern side of Poás Volcano. A short path leads behind the waterfall, where a small shrine had been located. Upstream from the waterfall is La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a hotel and park, where visitors can observe many different species.”
