What a perfect cosy room right in the heart of Amsterdam, Miguel’s place is located absolutely perfect for walking to all of the sights. The room is in a gorgeous old building, with stylish decorations and high end amenities. Miguel was super welcoming and helpful with local tips. I highly recommend his place for anyone that wants to be close to the action, but still quite at night for a good night sleep.

Super nice to be able to reach the location by car. Bicycles are ready. Especially at this time to have your own, front door and accommodation, inside and outside. Spotless and equipped with disinfectant bottles. Beautiful area for cycling and walking. Hospitable reception.

A super, clean, beautiful, two-story houseboat apartment 30 minutes by bike from Amsterdam! Great for couples who want to spend a weekend in Amsterdam. The standard, kitchen-bathroom-bedroom is simply fantastic, almost everything new. It is a quiet location that invites you to relax! Only recommendable!

We had an amazing stay at the houseboat. Franz welcomed us, the bikes were so convenient, and the houseboat was really cozy and comfi. We loves it !

The landlord can clearly introduce the use of the room. The people are very kind. The boat house is a special experience and it is worth recommending.

We felt right at home. Everything was so lovingly prepared! In German there is a special word for it: "cozy". ;-). Thank you especially for the fresh flowers, the many small treats and that the City Card was already ready for the tram! Frans and his wife are perfect hosts. We would choose this property again at any time. Also highly recommended in winter. Amsterdam was not so crowded and you could enjoy the museums in a relaxed way. Cycling on the dike right outside the front door makes you forget the proximity to the big city.

All furnished and tastefully decorated! The breakfast was delicious and very generous, and we had very good contacts with our charming hosts (especially Kim in fact during our stay) who were attentive and very responsive during our discussions via the application. Everything was better than described, comfortable and clean. Getting there and back by metro is very fast and easy. Kim and Daniel are very friendly and helpful with what ever needed. This is the second time we have booked this great room! Always as good, it is a pleasure to stay here whenever we are in Amsterdam. Great breakfast, very good and plentiful; a super comfortable bed, a great shower, a microwave and tea making facilities and a great private roof top terrace. What is the best dream? We advise with eyes closed!

We loved every minute of our stay here! Kim and Daniel are amazing hosts and even provided a fabulous breakfast every morning, which was a really thoughtful gesture! The place itself is only a very short metro ride/ferry to city centre, so the perfect location. The roof top terrace and wet room were a lovely addition! Where to start!? Kim and Daniel have truly earned their status as 'superhosts'! Their apartment is stunning, full of lots of thoughtful extras which made our stay even more smooth and enjoyable! I cannot reccomend them and their apartment enough!!

My boyfriend and I had a lovely 4 nights stay in Kim and Daniel’s attic. The room was very homely and cosy and was perfect for the two of us. We were given breakfast every morning at the time of our choice which was a lovely way to start the day, not to mention delicious! The room was very clean and tidy with some useful bits and pieces that you may need during your stay. Kim provided us with some ideas for things to do and see during our stay which was very helpful. Kim and Daniel also allowed us to leave our luggage in their house on our final day as our flight wasn’t until later that evening which was very kind of them. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would not hesitate to recommend Kim and Daniel to anyone planning a trip to Amsterdam.

This was my second time visiting this Airbnb B&B. The location is perfect for a tourist, and Matthijs is an A++ host! The room is just as advertised, and perfectly located. Stop looking further, and book this place!

The apartment was perfectly located and had everything we needed for our (unfortunately) short stay in beautiful Amsterdam! We haven‘t met Matthijs personally, but he took great care of us via WhatsApp and tried to make the trip as pleasant as possible. Thank you! The breakfast at de laatste kruimel was also perfectly fine. We‘ll be back!

First of all, Matthijs is super kind, thoughtful and answered all of our questions quickly. Upon arrival he gave us a ton of local tips. The room is charming, clean and packed with all kinds of amenities - and Vermeer themed (thus the milkmaid). A bit small indeed, but for a couple is enough and its location compensates whatever downsides anyone might point out (dam square is right behind, central station in 10min walk). And man, the breakfast. It’s served in another place, a short 2min walk, in a equally charming bakery. All fresh and delicious.

Most enjoyable stay. Matthijs gave us a pleasant welcome, despite our late arrival. The apartment is close to the center, in a quiet lane. The bathroom is small but very clean and well designed. Add to that fluffy and profuse towels and it's perfect! The bed is large and comfortable, we slept very well there. Thank you for everything!

Very reactive and available host, clean and comfortable room

Matthijs was really nice and helpful, he kept giving useful Amsterdam vacation tips and also, breakfast place he gives us rocher “De Laatste Kruimel” was very delicious. Another good point was the location of B&B, it is literally near the Dam Square which is simply centre of Amsterdam. Cleanliness & housekeeping was satisfying. Just a little cons is there was a noise issue.

Amazing. Liselore and Eltjo are really kind and helpful. The room isn't big but it's enough for a great weekend. The bed is really comfy and we had enough space for our stuff. A great location near the center with beautiful sunrises and sunsets for free.

We had an exceptional stay at Eltjo & Liselore! The cabin is really very comfortable, you sleep there like a baby, it's quiet and close to the center. A perfect experience to go as a couple and a very cozy place, even though there was no hot water in the tap and mattress, even though it was very comfortable, it had a lot of humidity. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

This apartment is in a prime location in the city centre and walking distance to most of the main attractions and there are 2 metro stations a few minutes away if needed. There are cafes, restaurants, bars & coffee shops 2 minutes bawling away and Dam square & the red light district is on your door step too. The apartment in in a traditional Dutch home and is a little on the small side but it has everything you need for your stay. Thomas and Eyal were great hosts and very helpful. I would recommend this apartment to anyone on a city break.

A cozy and intimate boat, perfect for exploring the city. It was our cocoon for 5 days. Franck, the host, is helpful and arrival at the accommodation is completely independent, which is very significant. The location is perfect especially by bike. Level equipment, just enough to make breakfasts and a fridge. Unforgettable and authentic accommodation, we really loved this romantic getaway !!

A cosy and calm place to relax and enjoy life directly by the water with a beautiful view of the waterfront of Amsterdam.

Very pleasant stay at the edge of this barge! We were pleasantly surprised by its layout and its cozy side! Frank is an attentive and available host. The barge is a little far from the center but we know how to access it by ferry which is 5min walk from the accommodation and all trips are completely free from one point to another. We highly recommend this accommodation. It's a great discovery!

The location is great. It’s quiet and lovely. The shops and restaurants nearby are also wonderful. You are close to the city but just the right amount away. Frank was great and check-in was easy. Highly suggest staying here.

Melanie’s place was extremely clean, cozy and just the way it was described. The location is definitely not the center of Amsterdam , but the tram is super close and it only takes you 20 minutes to get to the city. Parking was also not a problem at all. Right after the payment went trough , I received all the details. We really enjoyed the stay!

The overall environment is very good, the equipment is perfect, the style is unique, and the environment is warm. I will want to live again after coming back !!

Nice house. I actually hit it again and again. Lots of privacy. Everything in the house for a pleasant stay. The bedroom and bathroom are surprisingly large Much nicer in real life than in the pictures. Also a nice village to see.

I enjoyed my stay here. Gerrit’s and Ingrid’s place was a cute basement apartment. I had arrived after a long day of travel, so I was grateful to see that they had surprised me with some treats and refreshments. When I walked into the apartment, I spotted the cute panda sitting in an armchair, cheerful sayings framed on the wall, and a bookcase filled with books. I was delighted to find out that Ingrid was a fellow bibliophile. The convenient kitchen included an induction stove, a convection oven, a coffee maker, an electric kettle, utensils, dinnerware, and glassware. The bathroom was nice, and it included a shower and a bathtub. I didn’t have any bubble bath supplies with me, so I didn’t get a chance to try out the bathtub. I wasn’t used to the double-mattress bed at first, but it was comfortable and the blankets were warm. Near the apartment was a forest where I could take long, solitary walks. I enjoyed going there.

I needed to stay a few extra days due to my scheduled flight being changed. I was grateful to Gerrit and Ingrid for their kindness and helpfulness during such uncertain times. While I did not get a chance to see the city as I would have liked due to the necessary shutdowns, I was able to relax in a calm and beautiful space. Gerrit also unexpectedly gave me a ride to the airport and let me know that I could call them if my flight got canceled. I appreciated the kindness very much.

A very great place to stay that is really great equipped, especially if you plan to cater for yourself, there is more than just the necessary spices etc. available. Communication was very straightforward and friendly. We would come again :)

Willem and Ingrid were perfect hosts. We had a great stay and they were very helpful with directions into Amsterdam proper. As the place is near the airport, you'll need to use public transportation to get into the city, but the journey and connections are relatively straightforward. Thanks both!

I stayed about 3 days with Mildred and the room was great. The wi-fi was a bit spotty, but Mildred mentioned it would be fixed. Also, friendly reminder it is a single shared bathroom in case you need more privacy. The room was very clean, and Mildred was very nice and attentive to make sure I enjoyed my stay. The small pup didn't bother anyone. I spent my time in the city, easily reachable by bus. Thank you Mildred!

Perfect place to stay for few days

A beautiful and stylish cottage in the picturesque village of Amstelveen, just a few kilometres south of Amsterdam. Formerly workers' cottages beside an old factory, it's now a stylish terrace of units, ultra modern and chic, but with a respectful nod to the history of the place. We stayed for 3 nights and had a marvellous time. There's a restaurant right beside the cottages and a really nice walk along the Amstel to Amstelveen. We ambled along here for 3km and arrived at apparently the most photographed windmill in Amsterdam, so lots to see and do. The city centre is about 30 mins away taking a bus to Bijlmer Station and then a metro from there. Paola was extremely helpful and polite and left us everything we needed and plenty of useful tips. Highly recommended.

Bed was super comfy but you’ll need a head for heights to get there - Strange location on an office type complex but private enough with supermarkets 5 mins away by car. Found a lovely nature walk literally across the road which was nice for the dogs. Really helpful host and really easy check in and out. Would stay again.

Great accommodation, well furnished. Especially through the open space. However, it should be noted that the toilet is located in an open passage room.

What a special comfy self-contained place! Nicky went that extra mile with personal helpful information and touches - lots of drink options, and even souvenirs available! An amazing (adjustable) bed, we discovered, and nice skylight, ensuite bathroom, and even bikes available for use. We really enjoyed our short, but very sweet, stay.

Getting to Nicky's house was a very nice experience, the room made us feel at home. After long days of traveling, getting to his house was the best option to rest. A very nice little town, another setting outside of what you expect visiting Amsterdam, we were able to relax and be in contact with nature. Excellent place to stay if you are driving to Amsterdam or if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway after a day of sightseeing in the city.

This house was in a quiet neighborhood, a little far from the more central parts of Amsterdam but a beautiful retreat with a hot tub. Hans was a great host. He helped us with everything we needed and made sure we enjoyed our stay.

Our stay in Hans' cul de sac cabin was relaxing, and lovely. We stayed in the cabin for three nights ov r New Year's, and we were blown away by Hans' hospitality. He was very helpful with any questions we had, and we really enjoyed having the use of two bikes during our stay, to travel in style. Amsterdam is about a 35-40 cycle from the cabin, but with fantastic cycle lanes it doesn't seem as long as that. There is also a bus available to Leidsplein and the Rijksmuseum just a 15 minute walk away. Thank you, Hans for a cosy, memorable stay.

Joseph’s home is situated in a quiet neighborhood with public transportation, grocery stores, and places to eat within walking distance. If you’re traveling on a budget, need a place close to the airport, or just need a getaway then look no further. Joseph is kind and knowledgeable. He was quick to message me back whenever I had a question. Definitely great value for the money! Would highly recommend!

Very clean and neat. Bedroom is small and cute, perfect for two people! Joseph is very welcoming and gave my friend and I a lot of useful tips throughout our stay in Amsterdam. The AirBnB was hard to find at first because we got lost and went the wrong way. But, there weren’t any problems. We had fun and slept like babies on the bed.

Joseph is great! Very hospitable and warm, with great advice for things to do in Amsterdam. The house was perfect for its price, basic amenities but absolutely fantastic for a trip on a budget/short stay. A Lidl just up the road which is always nice. The centre seems far away at first but once you’ve established yourself with the transportation then it’s fine - takes about 45 minutes to get central train station by public transport. Would recommend for sure.

Very good reception. Nice room, a host who speaks french fairly well and gives you good advice, tram me is not very far which allows to leave the car on the spot and get to Amsterdam more easily.

Marianna was patient and understanding, since there were some mistakes on my side and she helped me with out travel plans and the parking situation. the house and surrounding nature was great. We had a great time. but far from the center and bike rental is only open on Wednesdays and Sundays. so we could not rent. and the house was not clean, had spider webs.

Great place to stay, very homely and hospitable

Eline's place might be my favourite Airbnb stay to date! Not just because I'm a huge animal lover (all 11 dogs were so precious and sweet, and the 2 pigs were a humorous sight to behold), but everything was very cosy and clean. There was also a semi-private entrance for us and we had our own little space beyond just our room. The nearest bus stops are all manageable and pleasant 10-12 min walks away and because Eline's place was located in a lovely neighbourhood. I wish I had more time than just one night!

My second time staying at Elines place, I wouldn’t look to stay anywhere else when visiting that part of Amsterdam. As usual the room was clean, hosts very friendly and thoughtful, animals friendly and communication is good. Eline is always flexible and able to work around my late flight times and for this I am very grateful! Highly recommended place to stay.

Marc and Renee truly went above and beyond to make sure our first time using AirBnB and our first time in the Netherlands went as smoothly and comfortably as possible. We truly felt at home with them. We landed at AMS around 6:00am, and Marc was ready at the local tram stop to pick us up and bring us to the AirBnB in Amstelveen. He showed us our rooms- which exceeded our expectations. Extremely comfortable bed, cute nook and kitchenette to eat and prepare food (microwave, stovetop and fridge), luxurious shower and bathroom, all with the privacy you’d want from a private rental space. Breakfast every morning was fantastic. Every afternoon we chose which foods we’d want, and in the morning before we set off we woke up to a picnic-basket arrangement at our door. They even let us use their bikes and provided spare tram passes with our stay, so transportation was extremely easy for us from day 1. The tram is an easy 10-15 minute walk from their place, and about a 20-30 minute tram ride into center city Amsterdam. We found it extremely easy and convenient to travel in and out of the city. We stayed with Marc and Renee during the chaos of the Coronavirus. After we left Amstelveen (we had plans to travel to Den Haag then explore Belgium) we learned that the US government was implementing travel bans. We knew we would have to cut our trip short, yet Marc and Renee graciously opened their doors once more and hosted us until we were able to get to our departing flight back to the US. Mark and Rene truly made us feel at home. Their AirBnB offered privacy, comfort, and a feeling of homeliness we haven’t found anywhere else. If their spot is available, definitely book it. They were extremely easy to communicate with, and I felt comfortable texting them questions throughout our day about tram stops, museum recommendations, etc. I can’t say enough positive remarks about our experience here. They are truly one of a kind hosts.

Marc and Reneé are "old-style" Airbnb hosts. They welcomed us very warmly but always respected our privacy. Every detail was perfect: from the free coffee to the high-quality toilet paper (soooo soft!) They even made a Netflix account especially for us. If I ever visit Amsterdam again, I'm surely booking their room for the second time.

It was unexpected that the host would pick us up at the station upon arrival, and send us to the station the same when leaving. It bothered us as much as it was troublesome !! The place was clean and comfortable. Lazy bed every day, but eager to wake up as soon as possible to eat the breakfast the owner prepared for us!

Renée and Marc are very helpful and caring hosts. They are listening, they allowed us to get easily to the city center thanks to their transport cards and their directions. A map and books on activities in Amsterdam are available. A great breakfast served every morning. Plus perfect bedding and very clean accommodation. I recommend this accommodation without hesitation. In any case we will keep this address for our next visit to Amsterdam

This guesthouse was perfect for us wanting to bike into Amsterdam but also get away from the business of the city. Maaike was very helpful and welcoming to us on our visit. The town of Ouderkerk aan de Amstel is lovely and the ride to the city is very scenic. Would stay here again!

Staying at Maaike’s place was far and beyond expectations. Location to bus and train access was great to get to/from Central Train Station and Airport. Free pushbike use was greatly appreciated and we even looked like locals. Proximity to local village was great to get supplies. Would recommend staying here if you want to be out of the City area but only 40 minute push bike ride or 20 minutes on train.

You will not find better hosts than Caspar and Maaike! This is this first time I have actually posted a review and their superb hospitality is what prompted me to do it! The space is basically a 1 bedroom apartment with a small kitchen behind the main house (which they and their 2 amazing children occupy.) The village is something out of a story book! Such a beautiful country setting and yet so close to Amsterdam that you can easily ride one of the bicycles they provide almost a quick as driving! Awesome visit! awesome village on the Amstel river, I want to live their!

We naturally recommend this lovely apartment and its hosts hospitality !! This apartment is a real good deal to discover the different faces of the Netherlands : you are close to the big city Amsterdam as well to soothing nature near Amstel river, just near the apartment.It is also so clean, quiet and spacy. All destination is possible with the bikes they lend to you. Take a minute to discover the little book of explanations made by Maaike herself. Maaike and her husband Caspar were so nice from our preparation to arrive up to our departure. Feel free to ask us recommendations. A nice place with lots of privacy

What a great place to stay. Maaike and Caspar are wonderful hosts, very friendly, helpful and laid back. They provided two bikes for our use which we used every day. The town is so charming and there are excellent restaurants and a really good bakery. Table service at the bakery is slow though. It was very easy to get into and out of Amsterdam, and relaxing to be outside the city center in a country atmosphere surrounded with small farms of pasture raised animals and small waterways crisscrossing throughout. It couldn’t have been more idillic and wonderful for bike riding. It was also easy to get to the airport. The people were very friendly too. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Maaike was a great host, very responsive and took care of everything. Amazing flat with a lovely yard to sit outside. It was very nice, that we could use the bikes to cycle to Amsterdam.

Maaike's place is a great choice for everybody who want to stay in a peaceful neighborhood close to Amsterdam. The place has all necessary to stay there: kitchen, baby furniture, comfortable bed etc. It was nice to walk along Amstel river in the evenings. Maaike and Kaspar are very nice hosts. What’ a cool spot Rolf has. Super comfortable and clean and not far from Amsterdam old town. Was the Perfect spot for a few nights whilst we attended the ISE show. Rolf was a pleasure to communicate with and very kindly posted back some keys we mistakenly left - Would highly recommend !

This apartment is wonderful, cosy and has all luxury you need for a great short holiday. Breakfast in the fridge, books, guides, bicycles, all is available. There is a wonderful garden, but it was a bit cold while visiting. Rolf and Julia are friendly and willing hosts and booking is arranged very quickly and accurate. It is perfect for visiting Amsterdam. Car can be parked outside. We enjoyed very much and we will be back. Yves and Veronique.

Frank was flexible with our arrival and departure times and did not hesitate to assist and offer suggestions about Amsterdam. The home is beautiful, recently renovated, with an amazing view. We enjoyed waking up in the morning to relax and have coffee before going into the bustling center. This is a great location if you are looking for a quieter experience but still within close proximity of Amsterdam.

Absolutely great view, lots of walking and views of nature and boating. Also close enough to the heart of Amsterdam and even closer to Schiphol. Comfortable and convenient place. Quite a few local tips from the host.

We had a perfect time in this place! Choosing it would be the best idea if you wish to spend some time outside Amsterdam. Check-in was easy and comfortable (using locker box). The design was as stylish as it was on the pictures, we loved everything: details, furniture, fireplace, rattan chair, bathtub...everything was thought to make you relax time as perfect as it could be! We already miss our heart place <3 Some more details: quite warm inside in February, all necessary dishes and spices to cook (no oil), easy to get to Amsterdam using 55 bus (about 20 minutes), then you can use any Amsterdam transport to get to your final destination. There are different supermarket near in Amsterveen (about 20-30 minutes walk). The only disappointing moment was that from the pictures it seemed that the canal is right next to the house door. However, there was no entrance from the canal side to the house and the road was between them - so you’ll have to close the jalousie if you do not want the people walking around to see you inside. But these moments did not spoil our general impression at all! We were lucky to spent our long weekend in this place. Thank you for the hosts for this chance!!

Paola's accommodation is really great, very clean and tastefully decorated. There were four of us and the accommodation is well suited for this. There is a very large double bed at the top and a sofa bed with 2 single beds (approx. 90 cm wide) below. The kitchen had cutlery, plates, cups and glasses for 4 people, a Nespresso machine, fridge, kettle and toaster. Unfortunately we had some problems with the TV (unfortunately only Youtube, Netflix and the normal programs went on strike) but since we only 2 days were there, it was not bad. If there is anything, you can reach the Paola at any time and she tries to help. To get to Amsterdam, the P&R car parks (eg arena) are suitable because you pay 1 € per day and you can buy tickets for public transport in the car park at the machine (return trip to Amsterdam for 4 people € 7.50) Since the weather was very bad, we didn't see much of Amstelveen since we spent the time in Amsterdam. All in all a nice place to stay that I can highly recommend!

We had a nice weekend of 2 nights. We were two couples and had enough space. The accommodation is consistent with the photos, it is decorated with taste and original since there is indeed no door (except for the toilet of course ...!). It is 25 minutes by Uber from the center (the race cost around 30 euros). A more economical way to get to Amsterdam is to use P + R car parks (10 minutes from the accommodation) and to get to the center of Amsterdam by metro in 30 minutes for 8 euros (4 parking included). Paola was very responsive! I recommend this accommodation to discover Amsterdam.

Beautiful little houses that are perfect for couples wanting to get a break away. Very clean and just like the pictures The houses are not located in a built up area and are very private. There is a bus stop 10 minutes walk away, dead straight up the road from the front doors, from there you can catch the 536 (I think) into Amstelveen bus station/town from there buses into Amsterdam or the airport (300) are very frequent, it's also handy to have the uber app set up prior to going as it can be difficult to find at first. The host will message the day before with instructions but doesn't respond to any messages before that so don't worry if you haven't heard back Overall it was a lovely break and would defo do again

I really enjoyed this place. Spacious, stylish, newly renovated. The bed & pillows were very comfy. This place has a lot of charm. 15-20 min Uber ride into city central, or 15-20 min walk to the bus , then a metro ride, took me about 45 using public transit...

Paola’s place is quaint, convenient and quiet. It was the perfect place to get away from the city and yet close enough to get to Amsterdam in about 20 or so minutes. The pictures are accurate and Paola is a great host!
