“The 1964 Earthquake shaped this hilly area, which offers trails and an interpretive display. Also, it is located next to the airport and you can see the planes come in and land right above your head!”

“Most beaches around Anchorage are mud flats ( that can trap you like quicksand) but Point Woronzoff (just west of the airport) is a rocky and sand beach that makes for a great beach walk close to town. You can walk there on the Coastal Trail if you are ambitious, or drive up Northern Lights boulevard. ”

“Access to Sand Lake is a paved, marked path from Caravelle Drive--an easy walk from our rental! Ask Kay about renting her canoe, or about renting kayaks or paddleboards from a local outfitter!”

“This house is close to the airport and close to the coastal trail. Their is nice park (Balto Seppala) close, just outside the door almost on Wisconsin Street. It is situated close to Spenard, which has several interesting shops and places of interest as well as a Farmers market on Saturdays during summer months. In winter, it is five minutes away from Iditerod Central.”
