Theatre
“The area is best known as Barrio de las Letras and is part of the historic Madrid, and the Madrid de los Austrias. Main spots, Plaza de Santa Ana, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Mercado de San Miguel, Royal Opera House and Royal Palace. Is a huge area with many historic monuments, museums, but also markets, shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, etc. It can be a bit rowdy on weekends but is definitely one of the landmarks of Madrid.”

Hotel
“RADIO rooftop bar at ME Madrid Reina Victoria Hotel was recently refurbished and got a more exclusive edge, and have quickly become one of the hotspots of the city. During the afternoon and early night there is a nice lounge feel up here with a relaxed atmosphere. Later at night the party vibe rises, with DJs playing and the stylish people enjoying. Great fun, but also a bit expensive. From the terrace you get a panoramic 360-degree views over all of Madrid. The rooftop bar offers a great selection of cocktails and classic Spanish tapas for the hungry one. There is a stylish and classy lounge decor all over the terrace, with large sofas and umbrellas. Sometimes the rooftop is reserved for private events, like weddings, so worth checking that out before your visit.”

Neighbourhood
“El Barrio de las Letras de Madrid es mucho más que elegantes edificios, es adentrarnos en el Siglo de Oro español, respirar literatura, sentirse el protagonista de alguna historia romántica. Un barrio en el que las tiendas de diseño se funden con las tiendas de barrio, las que llamamos «de toda la vida», calles salpicadas de pequeños palacios, bares, tabernas o tascas compartiendo espacio con conventos, museos, plazas o plazuelas. ”
