Park
“You name it, it’s got it - hiking, trail running, mountain biking. Beautiful area. Just remember that it’s a state park and has a $10 entry fee. ”

“The best Mexican food hands down in our opinion. In Aptos, so it can be a drive.”

“I'm a vegetarian so I don't eat here but my meat-eating guests have told me it is the best BBQ they have ever had. They have live Blues Music as night so it is pretty loud.”

Grocery Store
$$
“This is the closest grocery to our cabin, however if you are into health food stores there are many: New Leaf (locally owned), whole foods, staff of life or Aptos Natural (expensive). If you need medication or other essentials you can find Rite Aid located in the same shopping center as Safeway. ”

Mediterranean Restaurant
$$
“Zameen's is a walk-in and order place in the day then eat inside or out and they bring your food to your table. They serve tables in the evenings. Zameen's has a variety of delicious flavors from the Mediterranean like Morocco, North Africa, Greece and the islands. They have great pita's, assorted pizza's with a twist, wonderful soups and salads. It is not your common place. They make all their own food here so it is flavorful and fresh and we highly recommend it. ”

Point of Interest
“On Saturdays there is a farmers market from 7am-12pm. They end right at 12pm, so make sure you are there early. They have all the freshest local produce. There is also the best oysters you will find here (trust me). They shuck them for you of course, and the same vendor also has amazing fish tacos, ceviche, and shrimp cocktails. There is also a vendor who makes loaded baked potatoes that are amazing. You should check this place out, it's worth it. ”

“Public Access Beach. It costs to park a vehicle. It's a fairly short walk, but... There are two ways to get there... down a long set of stairs or down a hill with a sidewalk. Just know that either way, going back can be tiring... the stairs have benches to rest in a few places.”

“This is one of the most popular burger places in Aptos. Pro Tip: Burger offers "Meatless Mondays" where you can score a great discount on any of their burgers with a veggie patty instead of a meat patty. ”

Meal Takeaway
“A short block from Aptos Sea Haven. We love the breakfast burritos and burgers. Their salads are pretty good too.”

Beach
“Rio Del Mar Beach is the main beach in the community of Rio Del Mar in Aptos, CA. It starts in the waterfront area at the end of Rio Del Mar Boulevard and continues south for almost a mile on Beach Drive to the end. There are public parking lots at both ends of Rio Del Mar Beach. Between these lots are street parking spaces along Beach Drive where a sidewalk promenade has stairs to the beach in various spots. This long wide sandy beach is the southern part of Seacliff State Beach. The rest of the state park is on the other side of Aptos Creek. From the creek area it is easy to see the pier and the famous concrete ship (SS Palo Alto) in the main part of Seacliff State.”
