Holiday Rentals in United Kingdom

This a rural desert location. The Tile House is a magical place. A vortex in the desert of love and space. This is the place to retreat and unwind, find yourself, breathe and explore. Not available or appropriate for parties or large gatherings. A spot to meditate, cook, and watch the sky, the clouds and stars at night. A healing, colorful environment for rejuvenating your spirit and soul.
A two bedroom house with outdoor hot tub and gorgeous views, and gated courtyard with firepit. Queen-sized beds, picture windows, cotton linens, and towels. Fabulous and reliable WiFi. iPod dock with speakers. Full Kitchen, refrigerator, coffee maker, mixing bowls, wood-burning stove, swamp cooler. Laundry facility on site. Fireplace and pellet stove. Dog-door for your pet to access a fenced and secure yard. Great for large get togethers or a romantic getaway. Sleeps 4 comfortably but also has a sofa sleeper for a kid. Cradled inside and outside by a mosaic made of Mexican tile, smalti, handmade Perry Hoffman ceramics, tile and fused glass, found desert tiles, found objects, stained glass and ceramic bric-brac, THERE you find yourself situated in complete silence, watching the desert light crawl across the fast and intricate landscape which is ALL around you. 7 miles from the town of 29 Palms and the east entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. 360 degree views amid the peace and quiet, beauty and wonder, where indoor and outdoor osmosis expands your exposure to the desert. Touches of luxury, whimsy, and function make the visitor feel safe but also adventurous. Perry has been working on his roadside attraction / museum / gallery / magic spot / mosaic house since it began in 2000. 11 years later, 800 sqft were added, and approximately 2500 sqft of mosaic applied and grouted. Glass fused baubles, hand made ceramics and a magical desert. This desert homestead turned beacon of love vision is waiting to reach the stars. The Tile House sits in the middle of the vast and open desert. You need not walk two feet to be a part of the wilderness, now it is up to you to look around both macro and micro and see what you can see here. Jack rabbits, cottontails, ravens, scorpions, desert iguana, snakes, Gambel's quail, lesser night hawks, owls, coyotes, roadrunners, sphinx moths, and kangaroo rats, flash floods, dust devils, lightning storms, sunsets, summer rains, empty roads, wildflowers, and cacti are some of the things you might happen to see. Walk gently in nature. At night, absorb the clear starry skids, and August and November meteor showers. Remember, there are rusty bits and broken tiles in the sand. This is a work in progress. Be careful and don't walk about barefoot. You have been warned. Not recommended for children, unless prior arrangements and agreements are made. You are ironically completely alone in the middle of nowhere and the center of the universe.
  • We had such a great time staying at the Tile House! It was in the middle of nowhere, and we loved it. It is by far the most unique space I have ever stayed in, and the decor is crazy and out of this world. We loved the fire pit patio hangout, and the fenced in yard was perfect for our pooch who spent a lot of time exploring the huge yard. The house was much bigger than the photos look, and the kitchen was excellently equipped with all the pot/pans/utensils we needed. What a gem!

  • The tile house was a truly incredible space to spend the night in Joshua tree. Waking up to watch the sunrise was a real treat, as was gazing up at the stars from the hot tub. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Perry but he was very helpful and quick in response to all of our questions on arrival. Thanks!!

  • Wonderful. Peaceful

  • This place is amazing!!! Such a unique and magical stay with my husband for our 2 years anniversary.

  • My second stay here and it was just as magical the second time around. Wanted to catch the remnants of the Perseid shower and immediately thought of the Tile House. This will always be my home away from home in the desert. It's fully stocked for everything you may need. Complete kitchen, (just bring your own groceries), fire pit, bbq grill, HOT TUB etc... Even in the atrocious summer heat the air conditioners did a fine job of keeping the home a cool sanctuary.

  • Such an amazing location. Super inspiring. A completely unique Airbnb experience!

  • My friend and I decided to go on a last minute trip to Joshua Tree and were lucky enough to find this place. So glad it was available. The vibe is amazing. The hot tub, equally as amazing. We will definitely be back when we have more time.

  • This place is phenomenal!! The house is a funky, warm, authentic work of art. Perry is easy to deal with and quick to respond. My dad and i spent a couple nights here star gazing and reading by the fire. We spent the day time in the park. I can't say enough about the great vibes of this house. A real air bnb gem. I will be back.

Charming and romantic,' Round' Cottage on the Santarella Estate in the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. Formerly, the cottage was sculptor Henry Hudson Kitson's summer studio on the Santarella Estate. The two-story cottage has a charming bedroom with 35 foot high conical ceiling with canopied bed upstairs with views through massive, multi-paned "mill windows" to the trees and sky and out to the lily pond. The downstairs sitting room looks out on the babbling brook and lovely gardens.
Now open year-round! Charming, One Bedroom Cottage, former sculpting studio on the Santarella Estate in Tyringham, MA. Known as the "Silo Studio" Cottage. There is a bedroom with canopied queen bed upstairs and a sitting room with window bench-seat, coffee table, table and chairs, kitchenette area with wet bar with Micro/Fridge coffeemaker, toaster and bathroom with shower are downstairs. Fall asleep to sounds of the babbling brook and views to pond and forest from the large screened openings upstairs, like living in a "tree-house". Accommodates two only, fully furnished, all linens, towels included. There is Satellite DTV and Wireless Internet on site. The cottage is situated on four acres including lovely gardens, beautiful lily pond, running brooks and 2 acre woods. Absolutely unique, one-of-a-kind experience! Please Note, the cottage has traditionally been a three season rental from approximately March- November, however, due to much interest and demand, we have recently added a larger capacity pellet stove and made winterizing efforts and plan on keeping it open for guests interested in a winter experience in the cottage! Please keep in mind that access to our grounds may be limited with the accumulation of snow in winter months. During predicted extreme weather events, we will gladly work with guests to change reservations as we are always concerned for their comfort! Our lovely grounds are open to our guests. There are garden paths, babbling brook with stone bridges, loveliest of lily ponds, stone bench seating area with 'chiminea' and firewood for guest's use. There are two acres of woods with a loop trail as well. The town has an exceptionally beautiful Swimming Pond about 2 miles away which our guests may use. There are BBQs and picnic tables and it is often deserted. While we do have a pet friendly policy, prior approval and acceptance of our rules and policies is required before a pet may stay with you in our accommodations. There is also a $25.00 additional pet cleaning charge. The cottage is located on the Santarella Estate surrounded by gardens and storybook architecture. Santarella is located in the Tyringham Valley, tucked away 3.5 miles from Mass. I-90, a lovely and magical place where one feels like they have stepped back in time. This is definitely a place to 'get away from it all', enjoy quiet, rural surroundings close to the Appalachian Trail and Tyringham Cobble for hiking and many lovely ponds for swimming or kayaking. Vehicle is necessary. Grocery and other shopping at 3.5 miles.
Tyringham Valley was one of the original settlements in Western Massachusetts. It is mostly agricultural conserved land giving it a very rural, bucolic and idyllic character. The lovely 'Hop Brook' runs through the middle of the valley which is sparsely populated with mostly historic homes, making one feel like they have stepped back in time. An original, beautifully preserved Shaker settlement sits on top of the hillside opposite Santarella, overlooking it. At the far end of the valley, the gracious columns of the burned Ashintully mansion overlook the entire valley and are all that remain of the gilded-age estate which has beautiful preserved formal gardens, great to visit and hike. The Appalachian Trail is 2.25 miles from the cottage.
  • Hands down the most unique and beautiful Airbnb I have ever stayed at. The property is quiet/peaceful and the host (Denise) is kind and welcoming. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

  • My boyfriend and I rented the Silo Suite for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary, and everything about our stay was fantastic! The Silo Suite offered amazing views and a clean, quiet atmosphere to get away from the city for a few days. Dennis and Denise (owners) were exceptionally friendly and you can really tell how much care and love they have invested into the entire Santarella estate. They even gave us a tour of the grounds and historic buildings before we left! The Silo was heated with an easy-to-use pellet stove, electric space heater, and the heated blanket was an added plus in making our November stay very cozy. There are tons of great restaurants, historic towns, beautiful scenic drives on windy back roads, and plenty of hiking trails all within a 15-mile radius. If you are looking for a memorable weekend getaway, I highly recommend staying here!!

  • Silo Studio Cottage was a wonderful and unique experience!! My boyfriend and I spent 2 days there to celebrate his birthday and our experience could not have been better. Denise and her husband were wonderful and attentive hosts. We loved exploring the grounds and hiking at Tyringham Cobble. The best part for us was going to bed and waking up to the best view and feeling like was slept outside. We didn't want to leave this beautiful and serene place...thank you Denise for hosting us!!

  • Denise was a wonderful host - we couldn't recommend the Silo Studio more. It's perfect for a cozy weekend getaway in the Berkshires, curling up by the fire downstairs, then heading up to the canopied bed in the loft above, with the stars in full view through the large windows. Perfect for snuggling together, then heading out to explore the surrounding towns and countryside. Denise was a fantastic host - from her warmth getting us situated (including fireplace tutorial!), to her care for the details of our stay, pre-stocking the mini-fridge with champagne (for our honeymoon!) and even coming to our rescue when our old car broke down in her driveway. We would absolutely stay again, and can't thank her enough for her hospitality, which truly goes above and beyond!

  • The Silo Studio was the perfect little getaway for these 2 busy Bostonians (and our dog!) Denise was extremely welcoming and gave great instructions. She welcomed us with a smile and a bottle of sparkling cider. The silo is as cute and comfy as advertised. We got groceries from the supermarket down the street so we really didn't need to go anywhere. We enjoyed long walks in the mornings and afternoons. And granola parfaits & coffee in between. The studio is quiet and cozy and just what we needed. My friends were jealous of this unique little space we found. Such a little hidden treasure.

  • It's everything you want it to be. Quite, clean, comfortable and of course, stunning. It's like you're sleeping in an amazing tree house. If you're looking for a romantic getaway, this is the one.

  • Denise was a wonderful and friendly host, she walked us through everything we needed to know and was very helpful. The space was so fun and cozy, it made for a memorable New Years adventure! Already thinking about a return trip!

  • Loved our time at the Silo Getaway. A must do for any one with desires to try something different. Beautiful area. Beautiful grounds. Enthralling accomodations. Denise and Dennis made us feel welcome and offered very helpful suggestions on local eateries and routes for our bike rides. Already looking ahead for a return in the fall or winter.

Villa Amonteera is located on a hill near Surin Beach overlooking Bang Tao beach. The views from our villa are second to none on Phuket, and we pride ourselves on our cuisine and the modern facilities available for our guests. Due to the limited access and staff, Villa Amonteera is a very secure facility. We are also very close to the ocean and can have a car that can take you (maximum 12 guests) anywhere on the island during normal working hours for only the price of fuel.
  • The place was spectacular. It's even bigger than it seems from the photos, there view is special and the staff were all fantastic. We had an amazing weekend here and would absolutely recommend to others.

  • We were a party of 11 adults and stayed for 4 days. The villa is outstanding and the staff equally so, nothing was too much trouble and everyone was super responsive. If anything the photos don't do the place justice. An amazing experience Graham

  • A group of 9 English 55 ish year olds stayed at Villa Amonteera from 23rd-26th October to get over our flight from London and acclimatise before the rest of our holiday in Thailand. The minibus was there to meet us at Phuket airport as arranged. The villa managers Jennifer and Mam could not have made us more welcome. The villa was even more beautiful than the photos on Airbnb. It was clean and the staff made us feel very welcome without always being around us. I fixed the menus with Mam and the chef on arrival, and the food was fantastic and plentiful. Within half an hour of asking, we had 5 masseurs arrive at the spa area in the villa to give us massages. We also had a great Thai cooking lesson with the villa chef. The driver took us to Patong for an excursion, and to a private beach the following day. We had a fabulous 3 day stay, thank you so much! Can we come again!?!

  • we 17 people have stayed in the Villa Amonteera for 5 nights, the villa is even bigger than what we saw from airbnb. this is one of the best villa i have stayed in Phuket, everywhere is very clean, the staffs are efficiency and super nice. every morning when i wake up, i see smiling face of all the staffs, especially the waitress Sky and Moon, they do their best to serve all of us, and also the villa manger Jennifer and Yu, they are great! highly recommend this villa to everyone. the chef also did a good job, thanks for making us good meals when we were there!

  • The host canceled this reservation 16 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Manager Mem is truly responsible and attentive. The other staff also very nice. The place is execellent. They have lift which is very good for any family with kids and elder members

  • 6 star experience ! Will come again!

  • 15 of us (5- 55) stayed here for a week to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. The villa was amazing, we were extremely well looked after, and the staff were the kindest, most discrete team we have ever encountered. Each day our villa was left spotless and every room serviced. Our drivers were friendly and waited for us while we explored the island and completed different activities. Nothing for this extremely competent team of individuals was too much - an amazing memorable week and one day we shall return. Thank you for your care and attention.

  • This is the second time my wife and friends spend some time at the Beach House of dreams! Wonderfull place, nature and hosts!

  • It was an exceptional experience our stay in the beach house of Anthony's property. It has paradisiac views, a nice private beach and a good service from Deivit, the caseiro. The house is perfect to enjoy good time with friends and family, further else if you are trying to rest in a calm and peaceful place. There are some mini markets, drugstores and restaurants in a close Village. I really don't want to recommend (to keep the house easy for booking and unknown, LOL), but I have to do so, cause it was an amazing stay!

  • Great architecture, land, nature - house is literally on the water - attention to detail + interiors high spec. Spacious and amazing churrasco area - private beach, and very helpful porteiro. Highly recommended for couples, those looking for seclusion, nature lovers - for those wanting to go out in Camboriu, I found it a trek as it took us over 1hr to drive there. Anthony very responsive and great host.

  • Amazing views.

  • Great place! Cannot say anything maore than just a great experience in a wonderful place. Love the house. Love the private beach. Love the area and thr weather. Just perfect!

  • Fantastic visit to Casa Praia.location is beautiful, neri and neia are very helpful and kind.We did have a problem with Portuguese which was totally our fault, but got by with our phrase book! Area is great, but w were told not to walk any where .We are used to walking and felt a bit cut off..but we hired a car, and found some great restaurants.

  • Great Place to know! Absolute Nature and memorable views!!

  • The place is fantastic and worth it but a lot to do to improve communication. There was no Brazilian phone number available to help to find the place, which made us lose around two hours to find it. And when arrived the keeper of the land wasn't expecting us. No basics in the kitchen, so we had to buy like everything. We left some and I hope others will be allowed to enjoy it. And wifi not working. Hope it will get better better because the place is worth it.

  • Wow! Gayle and Peter were incredibly kind (as was their dog Charlie), and we enjoyed the cool October air next to a great fire and then among all the warmth of the pondhouse. The photos don't do their handiwork justice — the reeds are as soft and bright as you can imagine, and it makes a beautiful space to take a bit of time for contemplation, reading, and good conversation. The walk up to the house for the bathroom as even a welcome one, a chance to look back and marvel (and get some delicious tea). Gayle had great recommendations for Ashfield and Shelburne Falls. We'd love to come back. Thank y'all so much!

  • Gayle and Peter were phenomenal and awesome hosts. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Pond House as a mini vacation get away right before the weather got cold. The Pond House has the comfort of your home with being right in the middle of the woods. It was perfect. We went hiking and fishing at Chapel falls (about 10 minutes away) and at Bear Swamp (maybe 5 minutes away). The Pond House was beautiful and super clean. Gayle was so understanding, we got stuck in traffic on our way up from NY. We stayed in contact with her and she was great. Get there before dark because you want to take it all in. It was a little chilly at night because it was the last weekend of September but we were cozy and warm underneath the blankets that Gayle provided us. We felt so refreshed and relaxed just from two nights there, we would love to go back!

  • Gayle made our stay truly magical. The pictures just don't do the pond house justice!! Thank you so much for sharing your treasured pond house with my our family! Our dog, baby and my husband and I really had such a wonderful time. We made a campfire, played with Charlie, ate pancakes at Elmers, and visited Shelburne Falls (bridge of flowers), played board games and napped while it rained. A truly magnificent get a away from it all.

  • Our stay at Gayle's cabin was the best we've had as Airbnb users. We stayed for two nights. The first night, we sat under the stars (so many stars!) and listened to the bullfrogs. There was pouring rain on the second night and we had a wonderful, relaxing sleep. The Pond House was dry and cozy both nights and there were six or seven comforters stored in chests that were useful when the night got cool. Gayle is the type of host you always hope for when you book on Airbnb. She is well-traveled, friendly, welcoming and respectful. She is knowledgable about Ashfield and quick to make a reservation for you at the legendary Elmer's. Her dog is very sweet and very quiet. She was there when we needed her but otherwise invisible. I can't say enough nice things about Gayle and the Pond House. I wouldn't hesitate to say that it's Airbnb's best property in Western Massachusetts.

  • We really enjoyed the night we stayed at the Kabaker's pond house. They were wonderful hosts and made sure we felt comfortable and at home during our stay. The pond house is beautiful during the day, and is absolutely mesmerizing at night with all of the candles and tea lights lit. We got a kick out of the wild sounds we heard at night time (especially the frogs!) but felt completely safe and at peace when resting within the walls of the pondhouse. Beautiful, romantic, peaceful, and close to a few local towns with some wonderfully charming delights, I highly suggest checking out this pond house for a couple of nights with a loved one. You will be treated very well.

  • We had a great time and our dogs absolutely loved it! It was exactly how it is described and shown in the pictures. It was a beautiful property and a very relaxing vacation. My only advice is to pack for the weather accordingly, that was my mistake for not checking the weather. It was very windy and cold and I unfortunately packed for very hot July weather.

  • Fantastic haven, peaceful tranquil and friendly! Felt right at home.

  • A wonderful home away from home.

To travel with style, try a palatial experience of Palazzo Cattolica Art -Apartment!
PALAZZO CATTLOICA is a private apartment very well located in the heart of the old city, in a magnificent and aristocratic palace whit a private imposing double courtyard: pretty much the perfect introduction to the decrepit grandeur of the historical center of Palermo. The magnificent palazzo from the 18th C, magically takes us back to the splendour of another time of aristocratic greatness and a stay within its walls is a unique and special experience Even though awaiting restoration, the wonderful staircase leading up to the apartment is very impressive with a headless classical statue. There are many stairs to climb to the apartment, but they are shallow, not tiring, and with such a glamorous old staircase, you barely notice the climb. "Despite the 134 steps to get here, the best kept secret of palermo!" (Irene) The lovely, quiet and sunny apartment is tastefully decorated with many personal artistic touches, with plants and flowers and artistic paintings. "Every items has its history, life and perfect plan in it" (Elena). The apartment is a very haven of peace and you can fell at home! From the sunny balcony and windows, you can enjoy of a vantage point of view above the lively town of Palermo. Stay in Palazzo Cattolica Art Apartment is a very adventurous and palatial experience! Description 2 communicating bedroom without any door between in a mezzanine, 1 Living room, 1 Dining room with a table for 4 peoples, kitchen, Bathroom with shower, private balcony with a great view and small table, 1 common outside open gallery to use partially and only in compliance with the neighbors. Surface area : 75 m2 Year of building construction : 1700, Date of last renovation of the apartment : 2011
Palermo can be beautiful but also gritty and suffocating so the apartment offered a wonderful respite. There are several very good restaurants very nearby and most attractions are within walking distance. Sheba Remy wrote: "There are leather workers, weavers, jewelers and a vintage clothing and accessory shop which rivals some of the best I've visited in London and NY. The owners of several of these establishments took time to talk to me and to share their knowledge and experiences. I was very charmed by that"
  • We stayed for a week in Antonio's very charming flat. It is extremely well situated in the heart of Palermo's old town and with the two top restaurants Ferra and Ottavia Nota in close walking distance. We were greeted by Antonio's neighbour Tiziana who helped us with internet and an extra sheet for the bed, as we were friends travelling. We were in the flat in late September and it was still very warm even at night - the air con helped a bit. The only minus are the beds and the mattresses. They are not that comfy and quite hard. Tiziana booked a taxi for us as we had to go back very early in the morning - that was very helpful. Also, we had some minor issues along the way and Antonio replied to our messages very quickly. All in all we would recommend it.

  • What a perfect apartment. So comfortable and full of interesting pieces. The apartment is located right in the centre of old town. Great bar downstairs! Antonio was a great host, carrying Ruth's bag up the 130 stairs and giving us some great ideas of places to eat, drink and see. We had beautiful weather even in mid December. Many thanks Antonio. A perfect host.

  • We paid the €40 to be picked up by Antonio's friend from the airport. Upon being dropped off we had to wait a while to be met by Antonio's neighbours as he was out of town. They were very nice and welcoming. The apartment itself is unique, but not very user friendly. There's no room in the bathroom or shower, there's no TV, there is no iron or board and the beds are insanely uncomfortable (pillows are worse). The heating is great. The lounge area is very nice for relaxing. As a caveat to this review, I think our disappointment in Palermo in general had an impact on our thoughts of our stay in the apartment. The city is filthy, graffitied, smelly and overall unpleasant. I had food poisoning from a local restaurant.

  • We really enjoyed our stay, Antonio is a great, friendly and helpful host. The apartment was comfortable, we had everything we needed, it was warm even in the wintertime. the view from the sunny balcony is very nice and the amazing historic house is located in a great area of palermo. We spend a quiet and relaxing stay in the middle of palermo. Perfect! Thank you very much for everything Antonio, we will love to come again! A really special place! Julia and Moritz

  • Antonio is very nice and has done everything to make sure our stay would be perfect. The flat is incredible! it is the perfect place to stay! Thanks again Antonio!

  • Antonio's friend very kindly helped us find the entrance to the street and car parking area - not easy in Palermo! The apartment was all we hoped and more - spacious, arty, quirky, clean and full of colour. The little balcony was too hot to sit out on until the last evening as the weather during our stay was amazingly hot -fantastic. Antonio's local guide suggestions were very helpful. Yes it's a busy, vibrant, at times raw city but so much to see and do. The food was great, also there's a supermarket very close if you want to cook in. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed it all apart from a long walk to a dirty beach - but a bit of a mad thing to do anyway in the heat! Sicilian ice cream is delicious - don't go without trying a few flavours. Sunday's antiques market was worth going to in Piazza Marina - we even found a bowl made by the same pottery that made the bathroom's wash bowl - a good find! Highly recommended, although the shared veranda is not really suitable for eating out, but the dining room is so lovely it was fine. Many thanks Antonio (and friend).

  • This apartment is in an ideal, central location in Palermo, a 15-20 minute walk to all the great food markets, street food, restaurants, shops and nightlife. The apartment is in a beautiful old palace. There are ?5 flights of stairs and no elevator, and this is really only a problem with the initial climb with luggage. There are 2 bedrooms, but no privacy between them, so be aware. The kitchen is small, and the oven is toaster/oven size. But you can cook most items you will see in the exciting food markets. Antonio is a wonderful host, who is anxious to do whatever he can to make your stay outstanding. The apartment has many pieces of art and whimsy which make it feel inviting and of quality. There is a lovely, shared, large patio garden. The apartment is quiet. We will return.

  • We are just back from our fantastic long weekend in Palermo. We stayed in the beautiful apartment of Palzzo Catolica with our 1 year old son. Antonio made it all possible – he was extremely kind, and provided us with everything we needed. He helped us also with organizing our time in Palermo, offering precious advices where to eat, what to visit, how to get to the places of interest.

  • Amazing place! Carla was extremely helpful and ready to help us with lots of information. Trully exceptional host! Highly recommended!!! For sure coming back!!

  • The view of Lago Iseo really is as spectacular as it looks in the photo. Ivan was great to meet us and help us get oriented and situated. Ivan and Carla’s modest 2nd home is clean and neat, with a South facing balcony looking over Lago Iseo which we enjoyed and used to dry clothes after using the washing machine. It is one of about a dozen apartments sharing a pool and other amenities. We were off on our plans and time of year to most fully appreciate it both because the boat on the lake wasn’t stopping at Riva Di Solto as expected, and it was too cool yet for the pool to be open. But my son and I enjoyed games of tennis and bowling and seemed to have the entire place all to ourselves. There were hardly any other guests. Our top recommendation for a meal is the nearby Bellavista Restaurant only a short winding curve or two up the hill from the home. This is a great place to get away from the busy life.

  • Fantastic views! A very cute place to stay that beats any hotel in the area. I definitely recommend this place.

  • Carla and Ivan were very welcoming and attentive to making sure we had everything we needed and providing recommendations of places to visit. Carla was very prompt in communications and provided us with some very welcome water, fruit, teas etc on arrival, which was much appreciated. The view is fantastic, overlooking probably the best part of the lake, which was wonderful to experience each day. The apartment is quite small, but as expected. We are a family of two adults and two teenagers and it was fine for us. Great outdoor facilities, particularly the swimming pool which our girls loved spending time in most days. Neighbours were helpful and friendly. We loved Lake Iseo, a real gem, much less touristy than Lake Garda, just as beautiful and with more charm. Val Camonica was also an extra bonus that is definitely worth exploring. We definitely recommend staying here.

  • well, what can you say? What an unbelievable location, just beautiful! I loved everything about the area, starting with the winding snake of a road that leads to the complex. Carla met us there and was so friendly, even though she spoke little English and us, being ignorant Brits, spoke no Italian! what did we do before (Hidden by Airbnb) ? The apartment is lovely and clean and just as advertised. Originally we had booked for 4 of us but plans changed and there ended up being 5. It was a bit cosy but perfectly fine and we just didn't want to miss out on that view! and boy was it worth it, it's true, the pictures don't do it justice! Taking a swim in the pool whilst surrounded by the mountains was just fantastic. The pool was clean and well kept and welcome after a hot day in the sun. Our second day was greeted with a bit of a thunder and lightning storm, which was also spectacular! We had a drive around the lake and visited a few little towns along the way. If you want a spectacular experience in the mountains, I don't think you could go wrong, especially with a small party. There are plenty of restaurants within a close distance and the two we visited were really good, as well as both having great views of the lake and the mountains. All in all, it was a great place to stay, hopefully we will visit again some day.

  • Carla's place have an outstanding view of the lake and mountains. It is located near the center of village of Riva di Solto (about 5 minutes walk). Carla's husband, Ivan, is also very friendly and helpful. He even give us a short tour to the village, show us the groceries stores and nearby restaurants. However, for travellers using public transportation to reach Riva di Solto, you may want to spare at least 4 hours to reach Carla's place from Milan Linate airport. In addition, people in Riva did not speak English, so (Hidden by Airbnb) translate will be very helpful. Overall, we were very happy with our experience staying at Carla's place.

  • My girlfriend and I wanted a peaceful retreat for a week and it was absolutely perfect for us. The views from the apartment are sublime and I can't imagine better views from anywhere else. Everything you need is available and Carla and Ivan are brilliant hosts. They were super friendly and made us feel very welcome, we couldn't ask for more. Even though we went in late October it is a trip we will never forget, it is such a special place. We travelled around the lake and to another lake nearby but you can't beat the views from this apartment. It was undoubtedly the best view In the area! We absolutely loved our time there. Thank you very much Carla and Ivan for having us!

  • Stunning view. Fantastic hosts, comfortably slept 5.

An ancient trullo surrounded by panoramic contryside , away from the noise. Just relax, time taken lying on the hammock or a dip in our cristalline sea and in the evening a great apulian dinner in nearby villages. simple and authentic things
Trullo aromativc green is a 300 year old building, with the traditional "trullo" cones of this region of Puglia. Trullo is situated on the west facing slope of a delightfully quiet valley with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and ideal place for relaxing and is beautiful to explore on foot or by bicycle. The property has been designed to be beautiful, comfortable and environmentally friendly. Solar power is used for hot water and and waste water is re-used (please use the organic bodycare and cleaning products provided). In cooler months, heating and the woodburning stove will keep you warm. The trullo's traditional thick walls and high ceilings keep it cool in summer. And through the marvels of technology, a wifi connection is now available in this idyllic rural setting. The surrounding grounds are maintained organically. Set in four acres, Trullo aromatic green provides the space and tranquillity for real relaxation. Amongst the 110 olive trees are many almonds, walnuts, fig, cherries, apple, pear and mulberry trees, providing a garden banquet that guests can feast on. Produce from the land, including olive oil, is provided for your enjoyment at the property, and available to take home. At the front of the house is a large dining table under a shady gazebo. Nearby there is a barbecue . A large terrace is available to enjoy the landscape from a new perspective. Comfortably furnished, it's the perfect place for sundowners or digestifs. There is also an ancient aia where you just relax on a hammock. The kitchen inside is equipped to the standard that you would expect from this impressive property. I expect that you will dine outside most of the time, but if the weather turns, or you fancy a change, the intimate dining room will delight you. The living room provides ample space for everyone to relax. Enjoy the sound system - Bose iPod docking station and CD player - or watch a film on the Tv. A wood burning stove will warm the spirits in the cooler months. The bedrooms: there are one double bedroom and one can be configured as double or twins. On June enjoy the countryside and the beaches before the crowds arrive. Days are pleasantly warm, and the nights clear. On July the real start of summer. Enjoy a day on the beach l, followed by a summer festa or concert. Famous classical concerts in nearby Martina Franca run from mid July to mid August. On September as the blazing heat of high summer subsides, enjoy pleasant days and some spill-over festivals such as the Jazz festival in Lecce, or buskers in Martina Franca. Places to Go Puglia offers a wealth of diversions; two coast lines, a vast number of hill towns each with their own characteristics, and always beautiful, rugged scenery with knarled olive trees, spring flowers, red soil and acres of vineyards. The town has many facilities, and the market on Saturday morning provides everything you can imagine. Cisternino, just 6 kilometres, has its own character and charm, many free summer concerts and great restaurants. Alberobello is a must for anyone interested in the region's trulli buildings. It is a small town, consisting almost entirely of trulli. Although crowded with tourists in summer, it is worth a visit... and we can recommend some great local restaurants to complete your day. Martina Franca is the smartest town in the area. The Sunday evening passeggiata is a display to behold! The old town centre is a typical example of baroque art, with its white lanes, elegant mansions and stately churches and commune buildings.Beaches On this peninsula, you are never too far from the sea. • Isa has a beautiful home in Puglia. All of the details are really considered and the design is beautiful. We look forward to visiting again!

  • I can't recommend this place more highly if you are wanting a peaceful retreat close to many different towns and sites. It is a wonderful place and Isa is a fantastic host. I would definitely recommend getting a car if you are staying in this location.

  • It was amazing vacation in beautiful house Trullo. House is very unusual, comfortable and interesting, with fireplace. There is very nice garden. Thanks a lot to Isa for everything. Alex, Olga and Bright (our dog).

  • We had the stay of the year is the Trullo and felt home from first second on. Everything is perfect and really tasteful. Isa is easy to communicate with and really friendly. We would stay there again and again!

  • Isa was a good and charming host and most obliging. The fridge was well stocked on arrival. A relaxing, quiet and very private home with views across the vast olive groves. GPS failed us so get detailed instructions for location.

  • Isa was very helpful when we got lost (raining at night and our GPS failed) - so she came out and found us and guided us back to the Trullo. It is the most beautiful property and we had a wonderful 5 days there. We enjoyed cooking and eating the wonderful local produce that Isa had collected and left for us. It is the quintessential italian rural holiday that I have always dreamt about. So grateful to have had this experience. Thanks Isa.

  • My husband and I spent a week at Isa's trullo. It is a lovely garden setting with many kinds of fruit trees and vegetables. Isa's hard work really shows. The house was comfortable and nicely located to Cisternino and Ostuni. I especially liked the very equipped kitchen. We had a few very very hot days and Isa went to some trouble to get two good fans for us. She also left some of her hosed jam and other goodies for us. A very peaceful setting with a great view of the full moon.

  • We really had a magnificent stay at Isa's trullo. Isa is very warm and helpful, and at the same time respects the privacy of her guests. The trullo is very beautiful, clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay (including sheets, towels, ...). The garden is also wonderful - we went for a walk in the very big garden several times, just perfect to end the day! In a 40 minutes drive by car there are lots of beautiful things to do and visit (beaches, going out for a walk, boat trips, cyties, going oot for diner, ...) Isa's ideas on things to do in Puglia (and in Napoli!) were very useful to us! Highly recommended!!

Location, location , location! Probably the most famous spot in Santorini, the Sunset views part in Oia. Highlights are the views from the terrace, the sun, being calm!
  • Beautifully presented cave house in a spectacular position. From the spa and table you have one of the best views of the sunset. We did not meet Panos but he was responsive by message and the staff were helpful

  • Best place to stay in Santorini by far. Sunsets are incredible, the cave house is perfect for a couple. The terrace+jacuzzi is wonderful. Good breakfast served every morning. I would recommend to anyone visiting Santorini. Only thing is that Wi-fi is a bit poor. But I is an issue in the entire island.

  • Great location place was exactly as described. Can't get a better view of the Santorini Caldera sunset, stunning.

  • This is the best place to watch the sunset! Panos is very helpful and nice, he arranged everything for is. Highly recommend this cave house. It's perfect from inside to out!

  • Our host Panos answered all my emails and queries really efficiently before I'd even left England. I found the whole process so simple because he kept in touch with us all the time. Everything he did for us to make the arrival as smooth as possible worked brilliantly. I found he to be really good and so helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better host.

  • We loved our stay at the Cave house. It was exactly as described. Panos came and met us and was friendly & helpful. And he was available for any enquiries we had. The photos don't do justice to how truly amazing it was. Panos organised some sailing for us & it was a fantastic day, sunset Oia sailing were great. After looking around the island and seeing other options we would still return to here. Truly amazing experience!

  • Great cave apartment with amazing and private views of the Oia sunset. The whirlpool was private and warm enough to enjoy in April. The apartment was nicely decorated and had everything needed. The shower was great as well. This place is all about the view from the patio, whirlpool, and living room area. Hard to beat it. From the patio, you can look back to see everyone watching the sunset on the castle ruins while you can position the chairs so no one can sees you enjoying the sunset. The whirlpool is very private. One note, there was a hotel or restaurant (?) patio next to the patio. It wasn't used while we stayed in April but during the busy season, this may not be as private. Check other reviews during the busy season to see if anyone has comments about that. The location is about a 10 minute walk to the center of Oia so many restaurant and shopping options are very close. Overlooks the Amoudi Bay as well. If you are staying in Oia, you must be able to walk many steps up and down. This applies to this apartment as well. Many steps to get there. Would recommend that you arrange the transport and porter through Panos. It made it very easy and carrying the suitcases would be very difficult on the steps. Panos was very helpful. We had an issue when we initially booked and he quickly helped resolved it for us. Also, provided recommendations and helped get restaurant reservations. Definitely recommend.

  • Panos, was an amazing host, always responsive and kind with every request we had or help we needed. My girlfriend and I would like to thank her for all the support provided during our stay at Spitia Caves. The staff was also amazing and I'd also like to thank them all. The next time we are in Oia/Santorini we are sure where to stay! All the best, Mauricio and Nicole

  • Nice house!really artistic decorated and cozy. The host is really nice to welcome me even made wrong reservation. Highly recommanded!

  • I didn't get to meet or had any interaction with the host at all, but was directed to a male (Hidden by Airbnb) account who claim himself to be the "housekeeper" 管家 of the unit. Everything has been done remotely via (Hidden by Airbnb) . He provided quite fast answers to questions and guided me on how to access to the room. It's 10 seconds off Taiyuan Lu and perhaps two mins away from the main road of Zhao Jia Bang Lu. (10 mins walk to two subway stations.) The "housekeeper" 管家 came to my research quite a few times when I was researching the Shanghai airbnb. Not sure if they were all operating under the same team. The China airbnb experience has been quite unique from the rest of the world.

  • Good location with pleasant and spacious space, can rarely find in the centre of SH with such reasonable price. We like the interior design and stylish decoration, the only downside is the thin mattress.

  • We stayed at Cocos place for four nights and the apartment was fine for a short stop in Shanghai. The layout and interior is very tasty and beautiful, and the place is surprisingly central and well located, close to French concession, close subway Jianshan road. Two minor minuses: it's quite noisy in the apartment and difficult to sleep; not quite sure what made the noise; maybe grasshoppers, air conditioning, or neighbors. Also; lots of stairs in the small apartment, sort of a nuisance having to climb down small stairway if you want to go to bathroom in the middle of the night. But; cheap, clean, cosy.

  • Beautifully decorated traditional laneway house in great location! Our host was very easy to communicate with, connected with us via we chat straight after booking with the address and detailed instructions for how to access the flat. Unfortunately, a few hiccups with checking in. We asked if we could drop our bags off at 1pm. Our host agreed, but we couldn't actually check in until 3pm as the flat needed to be cleaned. We ended up arriving around 3pm anyway but found that the cleaner was still there, and didn't finish until almost quarter to 4. This was annoying as we were extremely jet lagged and were hoping to get some rest before dinner. The bedsheets had also not been dried properly due to the lack of time so they were still damp on the bed for the first night. One thing that bothered us was although the garden gate locked, we couldn't lock the front door of the actual house. Not sure if it was maybe broken but we felt a bit insecure leaving the house! Luckily nothing happened but people could easily hop over the fence and break in.

  • Coco was very responsive - always reachable. Very friendly. Her place was very hip and well-decorated. Location is great. I highly recommend a stay at Coco's!

  • Nice stay !

  • This place is actually so cool! It is my first time to stay in such an old house. It is lucky to actually feel the Chinese traditional architecture. Recommended!

  • Sol and Mike are great hosts, helpful and friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the neighbourhood and city. The apartment exceeded our expectations in many ways. We felt at home there. Its very spacious and comfortable with an incredible view (probably amongst one of the best of all my many travels!). The large terrace provides sun throughout the day, no need to go to the beach if you want to relax. Its extremely secure due to several guards on duty 24/7. We will definitely be back.

  • Mike was amazing from the beginning! Super responsive and helpful with giving us tips and travel advice for South Africa! This apartment is stunning! Nothing can beat that panoramic view! Probably one of the nicest places we've ever stayed! It was also in an ideal neighborhood, walking distance to many sites and only a short uber to the gorgeous waterfront. Overall, we had an incredible stay in Capetown. And we have mike and sol to thank for that! I would highly recommend anyone planning on traveling to Capetown to stay here!

  • We stood there for for six nights and enjoyed the appartement very much. It is a little bit sound sensitive but especially the view on town and the surrounding mountains (i.e. table mountain) compensates it. It is fantastic. On our last day we could see and hear a chorus performing on the stairs of the parliament which is in front of the appartement. The check-in and check-out procedures were very easy.

  • The pictures do not do this flat justice. It is beautiful in every direction that you looked. Sol and Mike have great suggestion on where to go and what to do. I highly recommend this to any couple that wants to stay in Cape Town.

  • So great staying at this Penthouse, especially as it is conveniently located within short walking distance of the best coffee on earth. Mike was very responsive in communication upfront and during our stay. The place is exactly as described, and the provided list of local recommendations was so helpful. Very happy with this booking. Thanks Mike!

  • Mike and Sol were extremely welcoming, responsive and nice! They were flexible in accommodating our itinerary needs. They also stopped by to say hi and gave us really great recommendations on what to do around town from a local's perspective. The apartment was amazing; the pictures don't actually do the view justice. It's hard to capture just how epic the view is from the windows and balcony. Sunset in the bath tub on the balcony with a bottle of wine was very special.

  • Sol & Mike keep a meticulously clean and well furnished penthouse apt in a great spot in downtown Capetown. Excellent value for the views of Table mountain and Lions head. Communication was excellent and they made us feel so welcome right away. Easy walk to lots of city attractions and restaurants and also the Fulton theater. After staying with Sol & Mike the only thing we were sad about was that they don't live in our town and we had to leave so soon. Highly recommended if you have some time in Cape Town.

  • The place was clean and fantastic. Smaller than expected but perfect for two people resting after a long safari. Too cold to use the pool or other amenities that had attracted us, but that could not be helped. Once we finally got there and got in, it was a great haven with wine awaiting and coffee ready for the morning. Wonderful! The hosts' helpful info on the surrounding area was invaluable to us and we visited many spots suggested. THANK YOU MIKE!

  • linda's house is truly a gem in the desert. very modern and stylish design, with amazing desert view. and never forget to check out the most astonishing starry sky at night. you rarely get the chance to see this view in the city. anyway, it's worthy a travel to the middle of nowhere and just enjoy it.

  • Beautiful location, perfect spot to relax and switch off. The house was great - the views even better! The sunsets and sunrises were out of this world and it felt like we were sleeping in a planetarium with all the stars.

  • If you are into what the future of housing would be in a perfect world, look no further. The opportunities to experience serenity, aesthetics, comfort, and sustainability in an outstanding setting are few and far between thank you Linda for opening the doors to this home for us.

  • What an experience! A true understanding of the living space. Completely immersed and exposed while still private and comfortable. Great details! Will be back.

  • The best property I have stayed out by far. The house, the setting. It is zen and you come away at peace. We will return.

  • Secluded, romantic, cozy, modern, beautiful respite.

  • A completely unique Air Bnb experience. The drive into the property is a wonderful introduction to your experience as the mobile reception disappears and you have the headspace to reconnect and reset your own thoughts. It's a magical setting and completely unique experience. The power (lights and water) did cut out both nights whilst we were using minimal cooking facilities, so do be aware that the energy truely is limited, especially on overcast days like what we had. However, the darkness was part of the spirit of it all and my wife and I very much enjoyed the experience.

  • The house is amazing! It is easy to locate with information provided. Everything was great and we enjoyed our stay.

  • My girlfriend and I had a lovely time at Francoise's riad. Sabbah our housekeeper was very friendly and helpful. We were only there for a short time but I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in Marrakech!

  • An absolutely gorgeous place - an oasis of calm in busy Marrakech. The main bedroom is very spacioud, the second one smaller but perfectly fine for our 2 children. The roof terrace is a lovely place to hang out. The very friendly housekeeper made us most welcome. I can wholeheartedly recommend this riad.

  • We were greeted at the airport by Faissal and had a trouble free drive to the riad, where we were warmly greeted by the wonderful Sabbah (even though we arrived late). The riad is situated in a quiet, safe and convenient part of the Medina. If you turn left out of the little street (derb) you will quickly find yourself in the heart of the souks, and within walking distance of the market square and Khatoubia (prepare to get lost though; you'll get the hang of it after a day or 2). Even better was turning right out of the street and walking past the campest guards you'll see, to a less touristy, but equally exciting and authentic Marrakech experience. The riad itself was a lovely place to hang out. Private and homely, and even in January we were able to sit in the sun on the terrace. Our departure was arranged and Sabbah took the trouble to find us to make sure that we got the telephone charging cable that we left behind. I hope to get back to Françoise' place, We recommend it 100%

  • I have just returned from a stay at Dar Awach for my birthday. Francoise was in contact prior to our arrival, and was very patient with organising the airport pick up seeing as my flights kept changing! My boyfriend and I couldn't believe that we had the whole beautiful Riad to ourselves! We took advantage of the sun terrace and the pool, and luxuriated in our little haven away from the madness of the Medina. Dar Awach is perfectly located; close to the square and the souks, and close to a few nice restaurants; you just have to get used to the maze that is the Medina; we got lost a lot on the first 2 days! Sabah was so lovely and helpful, and made our lovely stay even better for us. She was kind and attentive, and even gave me a little birthday present which was so sweet! One of the best meals we ate in Marrakech was the one that Sabah prepared for us, in fact it was the best chicken tagine I have ever had; I had to ask Sabah for her recipe. We didn't actually book any trips in the end, as we loved the Riad so much, and just enjoyed relaxing there in the middle of the day when the sun was strong, in between trips to the souks and the city's other attractions. Sabah also booked a brilliant Hammam and massage for us, which I would recommend to everyone! I would definitely recommend this Riad for anyone who wants peace and quiet and their own space in beautiful, tranquil surroundings in one of the most busy parts of the city. If I come back, I will definitely be booking into Dar Awach again, and will look forward to seeing Sabah again, as she just made our trip so special.

  • We took a taxi from the Marrakech ONCF train station to Dar el Bacha where the wonderful housekeeper Sabah met us to take us into Francoise's impeccable riad. The place is a very spacious, peaceful & quiet and designed to fully satisfy all senses. True Moroccan elegance, charming details, lots of art and beautiful lighting. Everything is spotlessly clean and in perfect order, just like in the photos. Every room has its own character and the house has many lovely niches to relax in. The roof terrace is priceless! To stay within the Medina is an unforgettable experience and Dar Ahwach is easy enough to find (if you get lost the shopkeepers are very helpful to direct you back home). Sabah prepared our breakfast every morning, made up the room and even did our laundry. On the final night we also enjoyed her cooking, a lovingly made dinner of Moroccan entree salads and a chicken pastilla. Highly recommended, we were overwhelmed! Thank you Francoise and Sabah.

  • Amazing house in a quiet neighbourhood in the middle of the bustling medina. The patio and roof terrace are stunning, just like in the pictures. Sabah provides nice breakfast and keeps good care of the house. Already want to come back!

  • The beauty of this riad has no words. Every where you look there are beautiful details of the Moroccan culture. The tiles, rugs, etc are so special. Sabah made us an amazing dinner the first night and took care to show us the riad. We were right in the heart of the medina with easy access to the Souks.

  • This riad is perfect and it is really exclusively rent by us during our stay! The location is great, almost every famous spots are within walking distance. Françoise is always helpful and considerate, not only provide useful tips, but also arrange the pick up services and check-in progress considering every little detail. BTW, Sabah, the house keeper, she made the best coffee and pancakes among others during our stay in Morocco. If anyone is looking for a place to relax and stay in the Medina of Marrakech, we will highly recommend Françoise's riad!

Airbnb's fourth "Most-Wishlisted" property across all of Canada, our beautiful loft cabin has incredible views of the Sechelt Inlet and gets all the afternoon sun. The beach is a three minute walk downhill, and our community is very quiet as it sits at the end of the road. Why not come and relax for a few days?
Our cabin has a wonderful view of the Sechelt Inlet. And it is all yours to enjoy. It is an a-frame, and so has a very open layout on the inside. It has an upstairs loft as the bedroom with an attached balcony out front. The bathroom is very bright, having a large skylight to let light in, and it features a lovely claw foot bathtub for soaking in. The cabin is situated very close to the end of the road that it lives on (10kms from the town of Sechelt), so there is little to no traffic to disturb your time away. Be careful, you may have the best sleep of your life here. There is oodles of hiking and mountain biking nearby (Coast Gravity Park is just up the road) as well as plenty of events and festivals to be enjoyed, especially during the summer months. Our cabin is a perfect retreat for anyone interested in experiencing the best of British Columbia. Two people can be accommodated very comfortably, but as well there is a pullout couch downstairs that can sleep two more!
Our cabin is in Tuwanek which is situated very close to the end of the road that runs north along the east side of the Sechelt Inlet. Beyond Tuwanek there is little else besides wilderness, accessed only by plane or boat. As a result, it is very quiet up here with little to no traffic. Right below us is the Tuwanek spit, which is often abuzz with divers. This is where we keep our canoe which is always available to our guests to use. Behind us up the logging road is Tetrahedron Provincial Park, which has plenty of trails and even a series of cabins that can be stayed in for the more adventurous type. It is advisable to have a rugged vehicle to get up there, and definitely chains if attempting in winter. About a five minute drive back towards town is Hidden Grove which has a very lovely, and easily accessible set of trails to be enjoyed by all. And another couple minutes towards town you will find Porpoise Bay Provincial Park which has a fairly nice, sandy beach and is pleasant to visit during the summer months. There is of course plenty more to see and do further away on the Coast. A few highlights include a nice hike about forty minutes from here at Smugglers Cove, hiking/snowshoeing up on Dakota Ridge, a nice drive through Madeira Park or Garden Bay, and a venture all the way to the end of the peninsula to see the standing waves at the Skookumchuck Narrows!
  • Very comfortable, had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The place was very cute and sunny. The beach down the road is beautiful, I would highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway.

  • Alfie was just as expected - super cute and cosy!! We had such a lovely and relaxing stay, long baths and lots of star gazing. The stars are so bright in Sechelt! Jen & Gary were awesome hosts - communication was easy, and they were really helpful and accommodating with any requests we had. Thanks again for having us stay in your magical little cabin ^_^

  • A great place to stay! I had a really nice few days at Gary and Jen's cabin. Definitely recommended for a quiet getaway.

    Will And Colleen2013-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was cozy beyond belief. Me and my sister needed an introverted getaway for her birthday where we could have fresh air, quiet space and time to reflect. This was what we were looking for. Gary & Jen greeted us with smiles and were our friendly neighbours during our stay. We had a chance to kayak out into the water and even ran into a seal pup. It was a pretty kick-ass trip.

  • My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Gary & Jen's cozy cabin. The cabin was exactly as pictured and very comfortable. The surrounding forest and neighbourhood is very peaceful and quiet. Just the type of place to go and unwind. We really enjoyed taking in the view on the upper patio with a tea (or local beer from Persephone brewery) and a good book. Gary & Jen were away on vacation while we were there but they were quick to answer messages and had a friend, Josh, who was subbing in for them as host. Josh was also great and very helpful. We definitely recommend staying here!

  • Gary and Jen's cabin is just as amazing as it looks. It's quiet, comfortable and clean. Communication was great and easy to set up.

  • Gary and Jen have nailed it with this place... simplicity at its finest. We spent the weekend curled up with books, drinking coffee and baileys on the upper deck, tromping around the trails in the nearby Hidden Grove, and sleeping like rocks in the awesome loft bedroom. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

  • Gary & Jen were very welcoming and quick to reply to any questions or needs we had during our stay. Both cabins are true to be very relaxing with a 'home away from home' vibe. The selection of games/music/books, beautiful clawfoot tub and short walk to the water were just an added plus to this awesome cabin. We will definitely return again, next time for longer!

Our farmhouse is glad to give you hospitality in the Leccio apartment, it is indipendent and there's space for a couple and a third person. You will discover our organic food production and our natural lifestyle.
An organic, family-run agriturismo enterprise set in the peaceful hillsides amongst olive groves, vineyards and woodlands, overlooking the nearby Tuscany, at an altitude of 480 metres. The stone farmhouse, restored using bioedilizia (ecological construction) concepts, close to the wood, is made up of the main home and of the apartments for rent, each of these consists of: kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.
The farmhouse is conveniently located for reaching the most important artistic, archaeological and naturalistic towns in Umbria and Tuscany.
  • We absolutely LOVED our stay with Francesco and Luisa! Their property is beautiful and they couldn't do enough to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Best AirBnB experience ever, hands down. Can't recommend highly enough

  • We spent two weeks in Italy, and our three days at Cimbolello were hands-down my favorite. The farm is located part-way into a valley and is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and forest. Francesco and his wife have an organic philosophy, and produce all manner of goods from their small farm. The highlight of the stay was the pasta course where we had dinner with Francesco, his wife, and a Belgian family that was staying in the next apartment over (there are two apartments at Cimbolello at the time of this writing). The dinner was made--from the pasta sauce to the after-dinner cheese and cognac--entirely from goods produced at Cimbolello. Francesco and his wife and beautiful and lovely people, and the dinner is one of my favorite memories of our stay. Cimbolello doubles down on what Italy does best: Food and People. Don't miss the opportunity to stay.

  • Our stay at Cimbolello was incredible. Francesco and Luisa were so kind. They made us feel very welcome and at home. The setting was beautiful and the little apartment was very comfortable. It was the perfect base for exploring surrounding towns (Orvieto, Montepulciano, Assisi). I highly recommend staying here and doing the pasta demonstration/meal if possible!

  • This was the most wonderful place to stay. It is special not only because Luisa and Francesco are so welcoming and the farm and apartment are so beautiful, but because it feels like a lesson on how to live well. The area is beautiful. We loved being able to get fresh produce that our hosts made themselves, which were very good. We love the friendly dogs.

  • For some reason this host left a review that said that we left the room in disorder and that it was "not the best experience". this is very bizzare. we accidently broke a single plate and i guess that set them off. Still, very bizzare. anyway, the hosts were very lovely while we were there, perhaps if we would have stayed longer we would have discovered a different facet of their personality, but while we were there they were very nice to us. The room is small and quaint. it is a real authentic rural experience for good (quite) or for worse (the smell of manure), depending on your inclintation. the pictures do not really represent the house which is more modest than it seems. The area is nice, yet you do not have a view from the house or its surrounding. There was no breakfast although we think it is mentioned in the listing that there will be (the hosts do sell antiquated cheese, jams, and etc' and they left us some eggs). Bed is very comfortable.

  • The farm was the highlight of our two month trip, we stayed for almost a week and loved every moment of it. It's only a short walk to the beautiful town of Citta Della Pieve, but far enough away to be relaxing and peaceful. Beautiful and clean cottage, waking up here was bliss. Luisa and Francesco were amazing hosts and thank you for the beautiful meal you cooked us. Would recommend to all.

  • Fantastic farm stay. Would highly recommend booking this place. When I woke up each morning I felt like I was in a Tuscan dream. The goods produced on the farm are amazing. Don't leave without buy some lavender oil. Don't hesitate book this place. Very close to town. Visit saltapiccio in town for aperitif hour.

    Jessica 2015-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Francesco and Luisa are really nice and welcoming! The place is beautiful! In the middle of the nature, with animals. Their way of living is really inspiring. They make so good products!!! you can taste cheese, wine, fruits, marmelade, olive oil, and also lavande oil, a real pleasure for every senses! We'd love to be back as soon as we have an occasion. We highly recommend this place !

Hector Cave house is situated in a very convenient location, right on the main path of Oia traditional settlement. Within walking distance, visitors can reach all the highlights of Oia and wonder around picturesque shops, cozy restaurants and romantic caldera-view cafes. Also, the complex lies a few steps from the old castle and the best viewing spot for the famous Oia sunset. Although close to local activity, the Hector Cave House provides peacefulness and privacy.
  • We loved our stay at the cave house. The location and the house itself are both incredible and Giannis is a very welcoming host. He even helped us set up some activities and tours while on the island and provided a fantastic list of recommendations. Can't wait to come back!

  • A stunning house in a beautiful location. Right in the heart of Santorini with amazing views. Giannis was helpful from start to finish helping us out with booking trips to hiring a car. Would definitely book again and would highly recommend a boat trip. Best holiday from start to finish.

  • Absolutely gorgeous location with nice accommodations. Oia is the most picturesque place our family has visited, and our Christmas trip during the offseason allowed for a tranquil adventure with modern temps around 59F (15C). Approximately 80% of the shops/restaurants are closed during the offseason, but there are plenty open even on Christmas Eve. Added bonus for my 3 teenage daughters was the pets in the area -- truly the friendliest in the world. Giannis is a great host available to answer questions at any time -- professional in every respect.

  • Hector cave house was truly magical! The view is incredible, location unbeatable. The cave house itself has everything you could possibly need. It's decorated so cutely too! Giannis made everything incredibly easy - provided a transfer whenever we needed it, helped set up a reservation for dinner, and a sailing expedition! He is simply the nicest guy. What a host!

  • Everything here was perfect! near to the sunset view point (Oia old castle) , and you can go to Amoundi Bay by foot. Stunning sunset breathtaking view ! House was big. I'm just enjoyed my stay here. Highly recommend to all of you.

  • Hector's Cave house was the ideal place to stay for our trip in Santorini. It has an excellent location, amazing views, and provided for a great experience in an authentic cave house. I would highly recommend staying here!

  • This cave house is AMAZING! My wife and I stayed here for a few days after getting married in the island and we fell in love with the place. The location is brilliant and service provided by Giannis, Dana and Dimitris is second to none. I would most definitely recommend this house and would love to return in the not-so-distant future!

  • The Hactor Cave House is just awesome and we fell in love with it from the moments we walked in! The location is unbelievable with a spectacular view of the blue waters. We did not expect this great location and was just amazed when we walked into the house in the heart of old Oia and steps away from watching the most beautiful sunset. The house is very well kept with beautiful Oia decor and a very nice hot tub and balcony overlooking the sea. Giannis and Francesca did a fantastic job of receiving us and making sure the house was cleaned and kept in good shape. They provided valuable information about the island and arranged a great day trip with snorkeling for my son's birthday with Santorini Yacht club. If I ever go back I would certainly try to live here again for sure. We had an amazing vacation and this house is part of those wonderful memories.

  • Another wonderful airbnb experience in Tessa’s lovely home. In addition to the fantastic location in the heart of Camden and minutes from the markets and great places to eat, Tessa’s home is a joy where to simply walk up the stairs takes an age as you gaze in wonder at her collection of pretty much everything you could ever imagine. A particular favourite was a collection of old board games and a box full of tiddlywinks! And the addition of an internal swimming pool for our exclusive use was a delight (caused by a slight plumbing emergency since rectified!) We only managed a few brief conversations with Tessa but she was the most perfect host and will be back in the New Year to further explore the local area and Tessa’s unique decor and hopefully find out more about Tessa’s creative adventures. Highly recommended, very individual, and totally unique. Martin and Caroline

  • Tessa's house is an amazing piece of art! We stayed in her beautiful living room on the sofa bed for just one night and had to leave very early the next morning. Tessa was very kind and perfectly understood our needs as tired stop over travellers. She helped us organise our traveling schedule for the next morning and even went to a local coffee shop to make sure we would get a neat super early breakfast there. We had a very cosy stay at hers and would have loved to take lots of photos of her beautiful home. Definitely a cute gem close by buzzing Camden town. Thanks a lot, Tessa!

  • Tessa's home is an absolute gem of a find. It's in a fantastic location, less than ten minute walk from both the Camden Town underground station and the Camden Road overground. The house itself is fantastic- there is so much to see! I wish we'd had time to spend a day just in the house exploring! The room is really comfortable and beautiful and we had everything we needed. Tessa even provided hot water bottles, earplugs and toiletries, along with what you'd expect. Tessa is lovely. Even before we came to stay, she had emailed me information of nearby places to visit and there was ample leaflets etc in the room plus she was on hand to help with anything we needed. So friendly too and such good taste in decor! My husband and I would certainly recommend staying with Tessa and I will definitely be keeping her details to stay there next time we visit London.

  • Very nice appartment, very clean. Tessa is a great host and made my stay very enjoyable. Highly recommended!

  • Tessa is so warm and welcoming and so is her lovely home. It was a real treat to stay there - so much so that I will definitely book again. It is thankfully a world away from an anonymous beige hotel room and I only wish that I could have stayed longer. The location was superb and breakfast at nearby Arancini's was delicious. It cannot be faulted in any way!

  • We loved staying here. Tessa was waiting for us and her place was an absolute treat. The location is great and her recommendations were spot on. The home was clean and lovely and really relaxing after a very long flight, we wished that we had more time here.

  • Location of the house is perfect to explore London , easy to access and located near major facilities We felt like we were in a theater when we stayed at her house. Her house was very nice and so cute and Tessa was a perfect host ever !!

  • Tessa is a delightful host - very warm and welcoming with a fasciniating career and life experiences behind her. She's a very creative person which ensures good conversation and explains the artistically arranged collections of every imaginable kind of unusual object, painting, print, stack of books etc with which she has truly personalised her wonderful flat. I felt very 'at home' here immediately: the sofa bed is good quality and comfortable, there's wi-fi access, use of the kitchen, tea / coffee as desired, a very atmospheric (as well as perfectly functional) bathroom with shower and towels. Tessa was very respectful of my privacy but we were also both relaxed enough with each other so that I felt like a friend who had been invited to stay rather than just a paying guest. Tessa provides lots of specially collected tourist and London travel information. The flat is very well positioned for walking access to Camden and Kentish Town as well as on easy, regular and quick bus routes into the centre of London. I particularly appreciated how clear and accurate Tessa is in her information which I got a lot of confidence from before booking. As someone who travels to London frequently I've returned to her regularly. I've now stayed with her a number of times and highly recommend it. I'm very aware that Tessa had dozens of excellent reviews from her crashpadder guests before the airbnb merger. When I last looked they didn't seem to be available to airbnb travellers which is a shame as they were consistently excellent. So here's a few below to give you some idea of what other people have said about Tessa and her home... xxx (1) Tessa is an excellent host who lives in a beautiful house, which is so central to all the major attractions in London. She`s got loads of information, advice & help on offer to help you have a great time. Her interests & love of art are displayed all over her amazing house.we had such a lovely time with her, that we now have another friend to see in London! You will be very happy to have chosen her pad to stay in...I`m sure we will stay again & again. xxx (2) Tessa is lovely, and her home is beautiful-- and she makes you feel very much at home without being overbearing. She's also a wonderfully interesting person. We had a great stay and I would stay there again with zero reservations! xxx (3) Tessa is an excellent host who made me feel at home with her welcome. The room cannot be faulted. Her knowledge of London is top class and I was grateful for her suggestions. She is, deservedly so, a popular choice amongst crashpadders and I can see why. Her location is very easy to find. All in all, a very enjoyable stay. Thank you Tessa for making me feel welcome in your nice home and I hope to back sometime in the future. The world famous Seashell house is a gated property .... owners/architects live next door. You will have a private pool, two king beds , kitchenette and BBQ and entire property, both shells . In shell wifi, air conditioning. I am proud to enable your stay . Enjoy a day or more feeling like a celebrity as passers by will seek to look in with intrigued expressions.
My dear friends Raquel and Eduardo Ocampo designed and built the Seashell House and for many years no one knew that it was possible to stay here and fewer knew how to arrange a stay. I decided it was too special to keep to myself and I invited the world via AIRBNB !!! Raquel and daughter Vane are your hosts at this unique island paradise . If crowded pools, lobby's and the "tourist bubble" are not your idea of an escape then the SEASHELL HOUSE may be the perfect place for your stay in ISLA MUJERES. Nearest airport : Cancun International Nearest port :. Puerto Juarez (downtown Cancun adjacent) or Playa Tortugas (Cancun hotel zone) Nearest beach : we face the rocky north side of the island and the best beach is north beach which is 15 minutes away by golf cart. El Garrafon snorkel park is a short distance in the opposite direction. Maximum guests is exactly as specified ...there is space for four . Isla Mujeres is 7 km long and 650 meters wide. Arrive by convenient taxi (6USD)or by golf cart(35 USD PER DAY) to THE SEASHELL HOUSE(S) PRIVATE GATED PROPERTY IN RESIDENTIAL ISLA MUJERES ISLAND ~ PRIVATE POOL ~ ONE KING BED IN EACH HOUSE The residential area is on a cliff side of the tiny island to allow privacy. You are not right in the middle of all the tourists but getting to the most beautiful beaches is easy with a golf cart or taxi. Of course, privacy is sometimes lost as tourists on golf carts notice the spectacular architecture and stop to gawk over the fence making you suddenly understand how celebrities feel. The smaller rounder shell has an immaculate KING BED and private bath with shower and a tv with a wide array of channels in English and in Spanish. The private bath with shower is made of tile and shells . The taller shell has a sitting area downstairs and KITCHENETTE with a large fridge, microwave, gas stovetop and sink with all the tools you need to enjoy meals . The round sitting area also has a tv with satellite channels. There is also a half bath off the sitting area. Up a rounded staircase is the master bedroom with a KING BED and private bath with shower. There is a balcony over looking the pool and across the street , the Caribbean Sea. Wifi is provided for free in the QUEEN CONCH Every room in the house has a remote controlled air conditioner. Towels - linens and soap are provided of course :) Ample parking for your golf cart or scooter. Tiny geckos make there home in and around the property, and all over Mexico, so if cute little geckos freak you out and will disturb your stay then do not come to the Seashell house. Come to Isla Mujeres for a vacation that you will never forget, one that you will have fond memories of all year long...until you come . The houses sleep FOUR PEOPLE TOTAL. There is one king bed in each house. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ THE HISTORY : In 1994 architect Eduardo Ocampo arrived in Isla Mujeres and built a house for himself (and later met his wife Maria Raquel) His brother Octavio Ocampo visited frequently, Eduardo had two pieces of land in a quaint residential area with caribbean sea views....and wished to build on his lot for his brother. Of course, this could not be any house. Octavio, a famous painter and needed something unique. Eduardo at first wanted a palala...but this was not allowed...having been very influenced by the "mountains" of seashells all around, he was inspired to actually construct a seashell. This would be the vacation home of his brother (in Cuernavaca) , it would be rounded on the inside, the spiral staircase... just inside the shell, a door where there was the mouth of the shell and windows with the form of shells THE LEGEND : Years later Eduardo would be tickled to learn that the islanders had created a sort of legend which goes like this ... The fisherman of Isla Holbox met with the fisherman of Isla Mujeres to boast of their individual islands...Isla Holbox sounded "Our island is where you find the biggest fish in the world !" The fisherman of Isla Mujeres responded "We are proud to have the biggest shell in the world !" The biggest shell ? Yes the biggest shell !!! When we found it we made ceviche for all of the islanders...and then we sold it to a gringo that lives in it now !" Though the owners are not gringos...they still laugh when they hear the legend. Guests can use the BBQ and parking lot . Raquel and her daughter Vanessa are at the adjacent property . If you cannot find her for your needs you may interact with cleaning or pool staff or leave a message . The neighborhood is beautifully peaceful and quiet . At night it is very dark and very serene . A golf cart is necessary as the Seashell House is located in a residential area. I serve to make your stay possible as I wanted to share it with the world but Raquel is the owner ... Please treat the homes with respect so that she continues to enjoy renting
Residential area of Isla Mujeres is unique..away from the tourists and busy can enjoy the stars at night and be incredibly tranquil.
  • The pool was murky enough to keep us from swimming for the duration of our stay. However, the Shell House is absolutely amazing and is as magical as it looks in the pictures. It is the most unique home we've ever seen and our hosts were very warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend it!

  • We loved staying at Casa Caracol. The hosts Vanessa and her mother were very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. She picked us up at the ferry, had snacks in the fridge for us, quickly answered any e-mails I sent before coming and arranged a go cart rental for us. The house is quiet and comfortable. With the go cart it is a short drive from anywhere on the island.

  • The shell house is everything they say and more. What it lacks in amenity it more makes up in style and class. Amazing designer. Great pool. Wonderful artwork. Enjoyed the house for my birthday party and it was like a dream come true. Should be on your bucket list!

  • Casa Caracol is well known as a tourist spot on Isla. We had an easy time taking the ferry to a taxi in downtown and our host was very sweet welcoming us. This is in a safe and quiet location on the island, but is not near a beach so be prepared to rent a golf cart or take taxi to the north side of Isla. The convenience of the location was nice for sleeping quietly, but not close enough to hear the waves. A nice walk around the neighborhood and you will find cold coconuts and local foods; for authentic taqueria check out Las Colonias Gloria off Pompano Road/Street for excellent and local food. The house is very beautiful and loved the photos, but it was not as clean as we had hoped. I imagine this is a very difficult place to clean but it was a downside for me. If you are looking for luxury-this is not the place. It is a beach house with beach amenities. The AC works great for only the upstairs bedroom, so you can sleep nicely in the evening. I saw other reviews had a lot of hot water issues; we unfortunately encountered hot water issues for three days during our stay (very cold water showers), but our host was excellent with communication and kept trying to fix it. The hot water worked on our last day here, but seems to be a frequent issue. We tried both showers and the hot water and cleanliness was an issue for us. This house is beautiful and great for some photos, but do not expect a hotel luxury experience. Come prepared to enjoy the scenery, not functionality. The host is super friendly, kind, and warm hearted so you will not have issues with the people on Isla. Enjoy!

  • We took a direct flight from SFO. There is a bit of a monopoly for taking an airport cab to the ferry. $50 USD for a 25 min cab and you will need cash- no credit cards accepted. I was told uber wasn't an option but we did use uber the rest of the trip. The ferry building has an office inside the gift store. You can get a round trip ticket and use the return whenever you leave the island. We sat on top for the ferry and the kids liked the live music and view. The island ferry boat has taxis galore. We stopped at the island supermarket and got groceries then went to check in. We were greater warmly with a hug and had a fantastic stay. The kids jumped in the pool in the and loved that novelty. We all love nature and animals and loved the gorgeous iguanas and even the cute little geckos which don't bother or come close to you. It's so safe. I couldn't believe how safe and friendly and kind of an environment on the property and throughout the island. Such a privilege to amongst these people. My kids and I got to totally unwind into each others happy company. Cooking in the kitchen was easy. Simple living. We didn't even leave casa caracol our second day. Our third day we went to get a golf cart. Honestly this also made the vacation so special. So much more fun and relaxed. Cars are truly overrated. The kids liked sitting backwards and pretending they were on a space ship zapping cars and palm trees. Had a great day at north beach. We had an amazing dinner at the sunset cafe. Per Abuelas recommendation. The seafood Soup was out of this world. Lovely sunset. The third day we went to the turtle and mammal center both fantastic. Board suits a good idea. The fourth day we went to the Mayan temple and Garaffon and ziplined then snorkeled then jumpys. Was so much fun. Zip line was fine for my 7 year old who loved it. Our fifth day we left which was hard. We could've stayed longer. We went to the marriott near the airport then ubered to Xcaret which is a minimum of one full day. We flew home early the next day. I have such admiration and respect of the people of Isla mujeres. I have so much to unlearn and learn thanks to them. We hope to revisit and give it one of our top vacation ratings. Above skiing, atlantis, safari etc.

  • Beautiful house

  • Posted my review a few days ago

  • Fun place to stay. We got a golf cart to see the rest of the island, but the house is well-equipped and comfortable. Vanessa was kind to pick us up and make golf cart rental arrangements. We were here on our honeymoon, it was perfect for a memorable trip! Hosts easily available

  • The house was beautiful, in a lovely tranquil area at the end of a road. The whole area felt safe and quiet. The house had absolutely everything you needed and especially loved the american style fridge with ice and cold filtered water on tap! Lovely pool and well maintained gardens made this place a real gem! Right on the edge of a national park there were plenty of tracks and trails to go walking on and exploring. The whole experience was good with great communication from both the home-owners and the agents. So much info about the local area and things to do provided we were spoilt for choice. Really was a lovely relaxing place to spend time in.

  • Agnes & Fred's house is very beautiful, and extremely well furnished and fitted out, There were even toys for the children! The area is an ideal family holiday location, quiet and peaceful, at the edge of the forest, but with all amenities within a few minutes drive, and the nearby beach is spectacular. The hosts were in constant contact with information and advice, and to make sure that all went well during our visit.

  • Me and my family have never had a more relaxing holiday. Villa Armani is beautiful, it has everything you need. It is in such a good location to explore surrounding cities. Absolutely fantastic restaurants in Capbreton and Bayonne which are so close. Definitely worth a visit down to San Sebastián. All in all i would recommend Villa Armani to anyone and would definitely come back. Fred and Agnes response is very quick and helpful. Thanks you.

  • This is a very nice property. We particularly enjoyed the large outdoor space. The decking is massive with a multitude of places to relax. There is an excellent plancha for outdoor cooking along with an outside dining table which is beautiful on nice evenings. The outlook is very private as the house is next to the forest. It's great not to look into any other properties. It's a 15minute walk into the shops of Labenne and about the same to cycle to the beach. The cycle lanes are brilliant in this area and I would highly recommend doing this during your stay. We cycled to Capbreton and back with two kids which was a lot of fun.

  • Our host Agens was there on our arrival - very welcoming. The house is gorgeous and clean and in a lovely tranquil setting. Highly recommend it to everyone especially with a family - Karen

  • We had an outstanding stay. everything was well orginized and Agnes and her Family gave us good tipps for our stay. The house was cozy, clean and well equiped- definitely a place to spend great vacation. We highly recommend the cottage.

  • This is a beautiful house set in a peaceful surrounding close to many attractions. Just 10 mins from capbreton, oyster farms at lake d'hossegar and approximately 30 mins from lovely town of Bayonne and biaritz. The house was immaculately clean and had all the comforts required. Lovely outdoor area with pool and bbq, though as we visited in early Oct the weather was slightly cooler but we enjoyed dining alfresco. Suitable for a group as it had three rooms, each with a comfortable bed and nicely decorated throughout the house. It is baby friendly also as the hosts, Agnes and Fred, are able to provide travel cot, high chair, moniter, toys. Well organized, friendly hosts, very responsive with excellent communication and they made every effort to ensure we were comfortable even though they were not there. Would happily recommend this place to friends.

  • A really great house in very calm and tranquil surroundings. It felt very private, even though there were houses and amenities very nearby. It was the perfect base for our family to stay at; the kids loved the forest, and the walks to the beach were wonderful.

The house has 2 floors: - In the upper floor you will find the large living room with a wide dining area. There is a fully equipped kitchen for all your needs and also a wood stove if you want to enjoy your food with a countryside flavor. There are three rooms: a room with single bed, a room with a large couple bed, and a room with three bunk beds. Still on this floor you'll find two bathrooms, one of them with a large jacuzzi for your comfort. - In the lower floor there is another room with a large couple bed and a bathroom included. On this floor there is also an area once destined for the production of wine, with a mill, and a space with a "table football" table connected directly to the pool. In the outskirts of our farm you will find several restaurants with traditional food, a good pizzeria which we recommend anyone to try and also a bakery and a minimarket. You will also have the commodities of a 30km distance to Oporto which is now considered to be one of the most cultural cities in the world. You take 30min to get there if you are traveling in your own private vehicle, or if you prefer there is an hourly bus leaving from Sebolido (the station is four minutes walking distance) which takes 45 minutes from one place to the other.
  • Thank you so much for opening the doors to your beautiful home to us. We have enjoyed it so much! It was perfect for us 9 Dutch ladies to meet from all over the world! We would not have wanted to miss this exceptional experience for the world!

  • We loved the place! The view is amazing and we really enjoyed the pool. The house was big enough for 4 children en 4 adults. We were welcomed with a nice lunch and got a grand tour of the house and garden.

  • The most amazing farm stay looking onto the Douro River. We travelled as a family of 4 adults and 2 kids with our friends joining us with their 2 kids and baby. The kids loved feeding the animals, picking fruit to eat, discovering walks all over the farm. The house was a treasure trove of wares, from a fully equipped kitchen, toys for the boys, inflatables for the pool, baby foot football table for the bigger boys. We loved every moment and a great base to discover Amarante, Mateuse or just lazing by the pool. Many thanks for Alberto for giving us a tour of your beautiful home and even the welcome gift of fruit, bread, salami and beers in the fridge. Perfect place to enjoy the company of friends and family. Can't wait to come visit again.

  • We were a group of 5 adults and have spent 4 nights in this great house. We felt immediately like in paradise, the traditional house, the terrace, the pool and the fantastic view on the Douro hints even better in reality than on the pictures. Maria and Alberto were very cordial and helpful hosts. We will definitely come back!

  • I thought this place was too good to be true when I first booked it, but the reality was even better. The house is rustic and comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous and peaceful. It was very difficult to leave. Maria and Alberto were so welcoming. We were a group of 4 adults and 5 children. Everyone loved the pool, chickens and sheep, and all of the fruit trees on the property. There's also some cafe's and restaurants within walking distance. Porto was about 40 minutes away by car. Fabulous time and we would love to be lucky enough to return!!

  • It's a rarerity that the Airbnb photo's don't do a place juctice! There really aren't enough stars to rate Maria and Alberto 's beautiful summer house. Our party had a blissful week, swimming in the beautiful salt water infintiny pool, alfresco feasting on the terrace with dishes created from homegrown seasonal produce from the extensive gardens and fresh eggs the children throughly enjoyed collecting each morning. Magical memories, all with a breathtaking backdrop of the river Douro. Maria and Alberto were brilliant hosts, with a passion for the home they have created. Incredibly homely and perfect location for a family and friends holiday.

  • Maria & Alberto's country house is simply beautiful. My family and I spent 7 wonderful days at their very charming house, enjoyed the pool, the nature, Russa the pig, the magic view, long nights on the terrace, daily BBQ's and the overall very relaxing spirit. Maria& Alberto were lovely hosts, very helpful and communicative. W e can only recommend their place. Thank you so much for these perfect holidays!

  • A true magical home in a very special setting. Nestled into the hillside high above the Douro valley, the house is a unique gem and undoubtedly the most special Airbnb we have stayed in. We were made to feel incredibly welcome by Alberto, who showed us around the house and made us feel totally at home. From the immaculately kept gardens, to the infinity pool, fresh eggs from the chickens every morning and being invited to pick our own vegetables from the veggie patch, the experience couldn't have been better. A picturesque 40 minute drive from Porto, and within a short driving distance of local shops and restaurants, the whole place is a dream. We will be back!

  • This was my first time booking with AirBnB and as a woman travelling alone with my 2 daughters naturally I was a little nervous about being greeted in an apartment by a man I did not know. However the minute we met Raimundo he immediately made me feel completely at ease and was a fabulous host. He spent time showing us the points of interest on a map and giving us tips of how to get there. Raimundo was very helpful and informative offering us recommendations for restaurants, supermarkets and fun activities to do with the kids. The apartment felt very safe, it was exactly as it looks on the pictures, and was immaculately clean. I will definitely return.

  • Exceptional. It is the one word that best describes Raimundo as a host AND the decor, comfort and location of his stylish flat, AND the full range of amenities you will find when you arrive. Everything you could need or want is there, from the TV, DVD and CD players to the espresso machine, which makes this flat a true home away from home. You will wish for nothing but a longer stay (or that every accommodation you ever rent could be so perfect)!!! The flat was sparkling clean, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The location was fabulous with a wonderful eatery just steps from the entrance, a gelato establishment and small markets just around the corner, the metro in easy walking distance, and the fabulous, World Heritage Site Palau de la Musica literally down the charming cobblestone street. Raimundo welcomed us as though we were relatives who came to visit from out of town. He took great care to get us settled, oriented to the neighborhood, and assured that he was only two blocks away and prepared to assist in any way that we might need. I have traveled widely and do not give compliments easily. Having said that, I can say unequivocally that this flat is a GEM and Raimundo is truly "the host with the most" perfect sense of hospitality. Not so incidentally...we never had time to use any of the electronics...we were too busy discovering every nook and cranny of Barcelona (using the map and exploring suggestions provided by Raimundo), but it was nice to know it was all there. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • Beautiful location , apartment was spotless and the host was most gracious highly recommended

  • Raimundo was a very good host. We had to reschedule our trip and he helped organize a new date. When we arrived he took a lot of Time to explain everything and show us where the main sites are. The Appartment was clean and beautiful just like in the pics

  • This was my second time coming to Barcelona and the experience was so much better staying in this neighborhood. I highly recommend this space for it is in a walking distance to most attractions in the city, truly a perfect location. The apartment is beautiful, made me wish it was mine which for a few days it felt like it was. Raimundo is an amazing host with tons of recommendations and the upmost attention. Defiantly if I come back to this city I'll be staying here again!

  • clean, well-kept and centrally located

  • Raimundo's place was perfect. The decor was so comfortable. The area was amazing. He was so helpful. We loved Barcelona.

  • Great host, and wonderful location. Highly recommended! We can't wait to return.

This bamboo cottage is a secluded eco retreat down a quiet foot path nestled in the rice fields and only a five minute walk to central Ubud. Open air basket weave bedroom with mini loft, modern elegant bathroom and outdoor living area make this a truly unique Bali experience.
This is a woven house made almost entirely of bamboo. It is open air and as close to living in nature as you get. Our main lodge is down a private foot path only accessible to cottage guests. if you choose to join us for dinner, a swim or for socializing with other guests you are welcome to enjoy this common space with a saltwater pool and a swing. :)
This is a hidden spot literally just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Ubud with its restaurants and shops, but it feels lost in time and like a total retreat. In the day you will only meet rice farmers and local women blessing the rice. At night you will only see fireflies and hear the rushing river, crickets and the distant sounds of the temple. An evening massage is a great way to end the day at sunset on the terrace. We have an in house masseuse who is available by appointment.
  • The people are very nice and helpful! This hut is so cute!!! I fell in love! Beautiful view and yes there's bugs but your outside so of course there's bugs. I would definitely return! ❤️

  • A very beautiful place to stay-- it was relaxing and brought us extremely close to nature in the best way possible. The open-air concept wasn't hot at all-- it was quite cool-- and breakfast was amazing. It was a bit difficult to find, and a bit more than the 5 min walk listed to the actual Monkey Forest Road, but I would stay again in a heartbeat.

  • If exploring unique places is your thing, this is definitely a must! Located within the rice fields of Ubud, the scenery is breathtaking and the common area is great. The cottage was super clean and it will definitely have you exposed to all wildlife.

  • What a place! If you're looking for a truly unique and unforgettable, breathtaking - and yes, romantic - living/sleeping experience outside the roaring busy streets of Ubud, the Eco Cottage is for you. We stayed two nights but were so sad to leave ths morning. The sounds of the crickets, birds, geckos and the wind in the rice fields and coconut palms, the breeze going through the little house, the view from the terrace...we'll miss it all! If you can, ask the lovely people of the firefly lodge for a balinese candlelight dinner on the terrace after sunset: the most amazing experience! The food was incredible!! A very tasty Breakfast was served at a desired time with delicious bali kopi on the terrace as well. Please note that the path going past the cottage is meant for only you, guest of the cottage, but some of the other guests might not know and walk past in the morning or at night - it felt a little like camping, but I am sure it's an easy fix, by telling the other guests of the firefly to use their own path ;) all that's missing in the lovely house is a safe box for your valuables - that would be a nice addition. Of course the bathroom and outdoor cushions weren't perfectly clean, but hey, it's nature! Enjoy yourself and leave all worries at home :)

  • A 5 minute walk through the rice fields to the property. An unforgettable experience hard to describe and must be experienced to appreciate. Good food, helpful friendly staff, interesting world travellers to meet and socialize with. Romantic "back to nature" experience in an amazingly beautiful setting. This place really made our trip to Bali a memorable experience.

  • It was a pleasure to stay there!!!

  • Absoutly beautiful location, also not too far to walk into the centre of ubud. Ketut was super helpful and able to book tours for us. All the staff were very lovely and accommodating. Would have loved to stay here longer than 2 nights

  • This is a truly unique and exceptional cottage in a quiet area of Ubud (yet only a 10 min walk to the city centre). Was such a great experience sleeping amongst the rice fields, listening to the local wildlife (which is harmless!) and the river flowing. What surprised us was there is a communal area about 200m from the cottage where you can purcahse great and cheap food and drinks, a pool and a swing. Great area to socialise with other staying around the complex, and then later head back to the cottage for privacy. We loved our stay and definitely will be back. If you can stay here while in Ubud, it's totally worth it!

casaBARTHEL is a perfect place for a vacation and an artist residency, immersed in the Tuscan landscape only twenty minutes' from the Duomo and one hour from Siena. Come and live with us: enjoy our olive trees, the kitchen garden, the tennis court and the small swimming pool. The TREEhouse is a romantic room immersed in the pine trees with fire place for the winter and AC for the summer. It offers a bedroom with a queen size bed, a small kitchenette with stove and fridge; a bathroom with shower, and a private outdoor terrace. And a fantastic view towards the Tuscan landscape! And if you want to see and know more about our passion for the interior design, the arts and crafts, and antiques you should come visit our design and make shop ‘Riccardo Barthel' in Via dei Serragli n. 234 r, in the Santo Spirito district of Florence! At the beginning of the 1980 our family moved into the ‘Poggio Secco' (Dry Hill) farmhouse, just outside Florence city center, in front of the Certosa dell'Ema. The compound had a big stone villa surrounded by olive trees, a compost hub, a pigeon house, a barn, a tall cypress tree and an old German shepherd dog. Everything in the farm was placed around a large terracotta courtyard, a sort of public square. Thirty years later the ‘Dry Hill' is still our home and a small community. We all live here sharing the same love for the countryside, its olive oil, good food and the family lifestyle! The rent includes the use of the communal swimming pool and the tennis court; the dining porch with the BBQ and the wooden oven; dryer and washer; table tennis and football table, plus a car parking inside the property. We are glad to interact with our guests; you will be part of our large family! Galluzzo is a nice small village with everything you need:crocery stores and a nice farmers market open every day. The certosa monastery is a must. Le Corbusier was there to learn! There are public busses in Galluzzo to go to the city center and to go to Siena. But to get to our house and to enjoy the surrounding you should come by car!

  • To keep this short and sweet, this was the best place we've stayed in by far! Waking up to the views and a fresh selection of amazing croissants made this stay one we'll never forget. The Bed was very comfortable, always had hot water for the shower, a lovely lady called Teresa that was so helpful and made us feel very welcome. This place is worth spending that little extra money to enjoy a unique experience.

  • It is real romantic and beautiful place. Very nice lady was a great host. One morning we asked about croissants and received some croissants, milk, bread, jam, butter and smile. Thank you very much!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed in Casa Barthel for a relaxing and romantic night and it certainly did not disappoint!! We were met at the gate by a lovely woman by the name of Teresa who helped with our bags and led us to the tree house. The grounds on which the tree house resides are absolutely beautiful and the view is second to none!! The tree house itself was incredible--like nothing we've ever seen before. It is well decorated and truly an experience to stay in. In the morning Teresa greeted us with croissants and helped us call our cab so we could reach our train. Overall this was our best AirBnb stay yet and we truly hope one day we can come back!

  • Amazing! The grounds are wonderful. We played tennis, swam in the pool and walked the olive tree groves. The treehouse is simply stunning. A beautiful experience. One note: if you are planning to just stay on the property and not go around I would suggest just going by cab. It's much cheaper and easier than renting a car. It's only 10 minutes outside Florence.

  • Unfortunately, there were some last minute changes which hindered me from going to Italy at the beginning of December - however, I asked my friends who could experience Elena's amazing treehouse to write a review: "Thank you so much for hosting us. It really was a pleasure for everyone to staying with you. Elena was a great host. Although we arrived late in the evening, Elena was super welcoming and showed us the place. It is huge. It includes many many olive trees, a tennis court, a swimming pool and everyone you meet is welcoming you by heart. The Treehouse is just as it is shown on the pictures. It really is a unique place to stay. Everything we needed was prepared for us: Fresh Water and Coffee underneath the Pergola, tennis equipment, essentials and all kitchen supplies...In these two days we were invited to join the family life on Poggio Secco. Thank you, Elena and also a big THANKS to your mum Daniela, for this amazing experience." :-) Elena, thank you very much for being such an amazing host!

  • It would be an incredible experience if you never stayed in a treehouse before. The host is very kind and helpfully.

  • My wife and I had a wonderful two night stay here in Sep '15. The location and grounds were spectacular. It was nice to have the option to explore Florence, but also the Tuscan countryside and Chianti region right at our doorstep. The simple architecture of the treehouse was inspiring and Elena's food recommendations were top notch. Only drawback was the very slight humming of cars from the nearby highway.

  • This treehouse was fabulous! Surrounded my an olive orchard, we enjoyed walking the property, sipping wine on the hammock, and taking in views of Florence! What an amazing place to spend a nice on our honeymoon stay as we explored Italy. Thank you! ~Cheers, Sarah & Logan

Private island in the beautiful archipelago of Hvaler; the municipality with the highest number of sunny days per year in Norway!
Try fishing, sunbathing, swimming or simply go on a boat trip to one of the other islets or islands in this wast archipelago.
  • Eivind is very welcoming and was very helpful getting us installed on the island. We stayed with our 3 children, and had a fantastic time!

  • Eivind's island was incredible - such a lovely place and charming cabin with everything you need. Relaxing boatrides, going for a swim and just enjoying the incredible scenery really helped us to unwind. Eivind was a perfect host and provided everything for us. Can't recommend this place enough!

  • We had some amazing time on the island. The house is the cutest and has everything that we needed. Eivind is a great host, he has thought of everything and was very hospitable. He kindly reminded us regarding weather changes and gave us bus schedule. It's an amazing feeling to be on your own island. Like The Little Prince on your own planet. Highly recommend his place for a romantic get away

  • This island is truly magical. We took three young children and it was great fun exploring the island with them, using the boat every day to get about and explore all the local islands and inlets. Eivind was fantastic and always at hand if we needed any help, even when we dropped our map into the sea..! I would truly recommend this to anyone with a sense of adventure and returning to simplicity, getting away from it all for a while.

  • Dear Eivind and Cecilia, thank you so much for our wonderful vacations on your little island. We enjoyed every day in this unique sourroundings. You were very nice in showing us the island during a rainstorm, rather bad weather conditions, and it was quite an adventure with you on our first boat trip to the Island. Fortunately the cabin was dry even during three thunderstorms in our first night. We spent the time with three children (10,8,6y.) and two adults, thats probably the maximum number of People. Everything was clean and friendly made up, the kitchen bed really something for a couple "in love" (seems we are :-) ) and our children loved the attic. Quite a romantique atmosphere with candle light in the evenings... The kitchen was small but well equipped, the gas worked. The dish-washer outside worked very well. We loved to the the water, the birds, the rocks, the sun. It was great to use the motorboat, the next adventure for us landsmen. To go shopping by boat was really an experience. The privy is a little walk away and clean and ok. We loved the Hvaler Islands, never heard of before. Thanks to end of season (mid-august), there were only few people around. Great area to walk along the coasts, have a swim and enjoy the view of the sea in the full. Hmmmm.... We start dreaming again. So thank you so much for your hospitality and our wonderful holidays! It was the absolute highlight of our journey.

  • Puristic but charming little cabin on a little island only accessible by motor boat (included). Our kids loved it there.

  • We had a lovely stay at Eivinds island. He was most accomodating and helpful and was also flexible with check in hours. He gave us good instructions when it came to everything from the boat to where to leave our litter iåon depature. We had a great time, and might even book for next year.

  • It was just an amazing experience to be on this island ( for us only!), to have tours within the Fjord on the small boat, to prepare bbq, to enjoy the view and the quiet neighborhood… Eivind was really nice and helpful. As we arrived on the national day, shops were closed but he provided us with some essentials, actually all that we needed! Thanks again for everything! If you want to discover a wonderful and a really UNIQUE place, I really recommend you to go there!

  • Julia's studio had everything we needed for our short stay in Minsk. It's only a few steps from all of the central sights and historic places. It is compact and fits a kitchenette, lounge area and bedroom – all onto a quite small space, but doesn't feel crowded. It's only minus is due to that that from the pictures you expect it to be bigger. The bathroom could also have a bit more space as the little shelf below the mirror makes it quite hard to bend your head towards the sink :D But maybe that's just me. Julia and her husband were patient and accommodating, fixing the heating before we arrived and just overall nice people.

  • Julia's apartment in Minsk is fantastic. Right in the center of everything, and exactly as described, with all the conveniences you will need for your stay in Minsk. She was very easy to communicate with and was so flexible with our check-in time due to a delayed flight.

  • A very stylish studio, perfect location. A couple of good cafes and many shops around. Recommend!

  • Fantastic place! The appartement is decorated very nicely with books and piano. It has intellectual atmosphere. Location of the house is the best in Minsk. Street is quiet, no traffic noise, no people crowds at all. It has some really nice cafes and restaurants. Check-in, check-out and communication with the host Julia was perfect.

  • Perfect host, place and stay.

  • Julias appartment was a great place to stay during my short visit in Minsk. The host was helpful in any way, and it felt like home ;)

  • Thank you so much for hosting us Julia. The apartment was lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed for our weekend in Minsk. The location is excellent, right in the city centre, close to many of the main sights and there were loads of nice cafes and restaurants only a few min walk away. Should we return to Minsk again, which I'm sure we will, I will definitely hope to book with you again. Graeme&Jen, Glasgow.

  • Julia readily agreed to check us in late in the evening on a very short notice. Everything was great and exactly as described. A very fun apartment to stay in with all the books and the piano. We got so carried away playing various pieces of sheet music from the shelves, that we forgot our phone inside the piano. Julia was very helpful with looking for it after we have already checked out and we got it back two days later:)

The apartment is situated on the 5th floor and there is no elevator. It is a no-smoking apartment, but you can smoke on the balconies. You cannot have pets in the building. Regarding your arrival time we will talk about what can fit both for you and us. Often I will suggest you to come directly from the airport/ train station to get keys and leave your luggage. And if the apartment is not ready at that time, you can go to the city and come back later.
Nørrebro is diverse and multi-culturel. Nørrebro is inhabited mainly by young people, students, foreigners and 2. and 3. generation immigrants. But there is also a lot of families with small children, hence the many playgrounds. The large ethnic population provide Nørrebro with an abundance of green groceries and shawarma grills. Nørrebro is densely populated and therefore lively anytime a day; bars, cafes, restaurants, shopping, kids in parks and playgrounds, young people hanging out on skates etc. Don´t miss to visit the modern outdoor space: Superkilen. Superkilen is a bike cycle lane through the city, but also amazing parks and spaces alone the way
  • This apartment is absolutely stunning. It has 5 private sleeping spaces (three bedrooms and two separate loft spaces). The balconies were great- a perfect place for evening relaxing. We were able to explore the whole city on foot and really enjoyed the space. They were also very accommodating with storing our bags since we had a later flight.

  • Thanks you to Sabrina and Edmond !! If you're looking for the perfect guests, available, friendly and welcoming : you have to choose this ! We were staying with 6 of my French friends in the apartment and we had a perfect time there. The apartment is amazing, well furnished, as you can expect from Danish people. I definitely recommend it !

  • Sidsel was an amazing and very kind host, everything went smooth and we could use the house right away at the check-in time. Me and my 6 friends stayed in the apartment for 5 days and we were absolutely excited by it. There was everything we needed as the house was very well equipped. The place was very spatial and brigt and we also enjoyed view from the balconies.

  • Everything went smoothly and the apartment was perfect for a group of colleagues.

  • Sidsel is a very nice host, and an experienced one! She gave us precise instructions on everything in and out of the house=) Her place is a spacious, nice, sunlit penthouse perfect for a big party (there were 6 of us). We enjoyed making breakfast in her big, well-equipped kitchen. Sidsel was very kind and flexible to let us keep our luggage in the apartment while she was preparing it for the next group of guests. We really appreciated it! She also responded to our request within hours, we waited until the last minute to make the reservation. A little inconvenience was that there's no divider on the floor in the bathroom between the shower and the rest of the room, so once someone takes a shower, the whole floor is wet. We loved staying at her place and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Copenhagen!

  • The apartment of Edmond was very nice, clean and suitable for our group of ten people. We had a great time in Copenhagen and were thankful of all the informations provided. The use of the Nespresso Machine was a plus as well :) So thanks for a great host and a great apartment which is really looking exactly like the photos.

  • it was a nice appartment, but we were glad we only were with three people, with nine people, this place would be crowded. locotion was super. It could be a little bit cleaner.

  • This apartment is excellent. It's big, spacious, airy, and is perfect for groups of people. The fact that it's not in a tourist part of the city makes it a bigger attraction - yet it's still central enough to be just minutes from the city centre in a cab. Would strongly recommend this as a place to stay in Copenhagen.

  • Daigo’s cottage was very special. I wanted to spend two days away from the city to spend with my girlfriend. The cottage was perfect. It really was a lifetime experience that will never be forgotten. Daigo was very helpful. We had to check in late and Daigo was still kind to pick us up and take us to the grocery store before dropping us off. Plenty of paths in the nearby wood to go on morning walks. The shrine nearby was a great walk/hike as well. The scenery is unreal and the cottage was very comfortable and a work of art on its own. Would definitely return there again. Thank you Daigo!

  • Daigo and Keisuke's plae is one of a kind. It's an experience that really stays with you after you leave. The cabin is small but very cosy, with all the essentials needed for comfortable living in a remote place. It is well-furnished and well-equipped with pots, pans, cups, plates, utensils, glad-wrap, etc. Daigo provides you with plenty of drinking water and washing water and you can also use the mountain water (although it is just a little trickle from a tap) to clean dishes as well as use as shower water on hot days. Salt, pepper, miso, oil, and other spices are also provided, making grocery shopping easier. There is no tv and the wifi is limited but you won't need them in the cabin - it is the perfect place to immerse yourself in nature! The hammock was a great addition to the place and a lovely selection of books was provided. Keisuke was very kind to take us to the supermarket before the cabin and Daigo went out of his way to help us with showering, taking us to a separate space for a shower. He also provided us bikes for 500Y to use for the day. I highly recommend Daigo's cabin! We had the best stay there!!!

  • We loved staying at Daigo's cottage! He is a terrific host and we felt like we were hanging out with an old friend. In our correspondance, it came up that I was a florist. So he took us to visit his neighbor, who happens to be a flower farmer. The cottage is every bit as charming as it seems in pictures. In late April, the weather was perfect. Clear skies and warm, fresh air. We loved taking a trip out to Sakuho from Tokyo. All future guests of Daigo are in for a treat :)

  • What a privilege to stay in this place. It's the product of work, inspiration, and communal effort, and on top of all that - when you stay there, it feels like home. Thanks to Daigo for sharing this achievement with us & the world! Daigo was the perfect host, to boot, generously sharing his time and knowledge. For us, the experience couldn't have been better.

  • Excellent retreat from Tokyo. Very quiet. Tall pines, rice paddies and a great walk up a 400 steps to a mountain top shrine.

  • Great place! Totally recommend it :)

  • This was a great experience and just what my family needed. It is a very well-made cabin - on a beautiful piece of property - with a beautiful view on top of it. We enjoyed building a camp fire, BBQ-ing, and looking at stars at night. There was a typhoon on one night, but we were still very comfortable inside. Daigo-san is a wonderful host and took excellent care of us. On our trip back to Tokyo, we stopped at Gunma Safari Park. All in all a great trip.

  • Daigo was helpful and friendly right from the get-go. We liaised with him on our arrival time to the nearby Kaize station and he was there on time as promised to fetch us. For travellers who use the JR pass, Kaize station is under the JR line so that's a plus point. Daigo drove us to the nearest supermarket where we picked up some groceries before sending us to the cottage. The cottage was exactly as described in the pictures provided in the listing. I absolutely love it. The short escape from urban life had been all I dreamed of and more. My husband and I celebrated our first year anniversary in the cottage and it was very cosy and memorable. We enjoyed the peace and serenity in the cottage and trying out new things like using the cast iron fire stove to keep warm in the winter cold and also using the "cyclical earth toilet" as described in the listing. We stayed for two nights from 4th to 6th December and while it was cold, thankfully it has yet to snow. We took short walks around the cottage in the day when it's nice and sunny. Otherwise, we basically just spent our time relaxing in the cottage. We're also grateful to Daigo for offering to give us a lift to the nearby public bath as there is no shower facility in the cottage. He also sent us back to the train station on the day of our departure so that we wouldn't miss our train back to Tokyo. Thank you, Daigo and wife Haruka, for the wonderful stay at your lovely cottage. I'd definitely recommend it to others.

  • Magical cottage in a beautifully peaceful part of the world. Lots of interesting coastal walks near by and the Five Pilchards pub in the bay below serves outstanding seafood! The horsebox shower was initially daunting but had a good flow of hot water so turned into one of the highlights of our stay. Waking up to the beautiful views each morning was wonderful.

  • The place is really lovely and romantic. All was super clean

  • we stayed with our dog here for a weekend and we couldn't t fault it. We were shown around the site straight away and told how everything worked. The house is as lovely as the pictures show and it was a great and unique experience. You can see the beach out of one window and cows out the other! There are several beaches near by. The shower was just across the garden and was easy to use. The local pubs were really nice and dog friendly. There are plenty of places to visit such as the roskillys farm, kynance cove and coastal walks to lizard. The bed was really comfy and so cute with all the lights. The host provides games, puzzles and books in the house and lots of thought has gone in to the decoration. We will definitely return and maybe try the tree house! Thanks for a lovely stay, Robyn and Ben.

  • amazing place!!!! no words to describe the accuracy of the house, everything was very nice and magical just as described! Worse a try once in ur life... maybe two as well ;-)

  • Jonathan was a great host. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area - recommended a couple of places that were little gems! The house and area were absolutely stunning. I can't say the advertisement does the place justice, I really think you have to be there to experience it - panoramic views, clean country air, no city noise and some beautiful country and seaside walks - a perfect getaway from the city life, there's no better way to relax. HIGHLY recommend, thanks Jonathan!

  • Fantastic quirky and magical place to stay for Our Cornish meander. We would love to return for another visit!

  • We had an absolutely brilliant stay, the location and grounds are amazing, the shower is very different and the place itself is very comfortable and romantic, although not spacious so don't expect to swing any cats! Would definitely come back for a second stay

  • Absolutely amazing place, looks just like the pictures - if not better! Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet weekend getaway, also close to pubs & shops! Thank you for having us, we would love to come back :) Jess & Tom
