  • Really good to go back here for the second time and to find everything just as lovely as the first time. Stella is a thoughtful, kind host. Even remembers food preferences from last time. Would definitely recommend this clean and comfortable bnb.

  • Stayed there on a Friday when visiting family/friends in a near by village. The hosts were very welcoming and the room was great. It was very clean, and we had a lovely breakfast. Highly recommended.

  • Room bigger than any hotel, friendly hosts with great advise about local food and drink, clean lovely place to stay. Highly recommended. PS. You'll be showering in and drinking natural spring water. Also close to Lee Quarry if you (like me) love MTB!

  • Stella's home is very clean and comfortable. The bed was nice and I slept well. The room was very big and it was also light and airy with three windows. From the front window I could see the hills on the other side of the valley, over the rooftops, which was lovely. Breakfast was great and plentiful with lots of orange juice, lovely cafetiere coffee and even avocados ( which happen to be my favourite) Cooked breakfast was on offer but I didn't happen to want one. Stella is warm, friendly and very welcoming. I look forward to returning and would definitely recommend Stella's home.

My place is close to great walking, cycling, climbing and shooting. It is a 10 minute drive from Todmorden and Hebden Bridge, both quirky towns for exploration. We are surrounded by a plethora of country pubs. You’ll love my place because of it's idyllic landscape setting. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
The property is self contained with open plan lounge, kitchenette (with small, basic plug in oven and hob and fridge) and mezzanine bedroom (with small double bed). No outdoor space is provided aside from doorstep sitting. Access to hosts garden may however be available upon arrival.
Todmorden is a very community based town, with 'shop local' being high on the agenda, we have a traditional indoor and covered outdoor market with a variety of goods available. Thursdays are popular flea market days. Hebden Bridge hosts a good deal of quirky gift shops. Both towns have numerous cafes for whiling away the afternoon.
  • The Pantry is an ideal place to stay to explore the area around Hebden Bridge and beyond. It offers a self-catering option at good value, in a quiet and remote place which is easily accessible. It's compact and well organised, essentials are provided with the extra touches of bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, wine and home made jam too. Transport is essential, be that a bike, car etc. Emma is helpful and is quietly available in the background should you need anything. My visit was for 13 nights to see friends and family in the area, so it was a great way to have my own base at night whilst out in the day. Plenty of eateries in the surrounding area and places of interest to visit.

  • Cute little place that has everything you need. Stunning views, lovely hosts. Everything is clean n new. Nice personal touches. Local towns with all you want within 10 mins drive

  • Ideal, private and lovely bread and food items left by host - a nice welcoming touch. Cooking facilities included hot plate, and oven, kettle etc with utensils l. Shower powerful and warm. The property is self contained and host was non intrusive. There is a main road right next to the bedroom window and was a little disruptive to sleep time - obviously cannot be controlled by host but earplugs may assist in sleeping! Bed was memory foam much comfort indeed. Thank you so much for a wonderful resting place

  • A lovely cosy retreat high up in the beautiful Calderdale hills. I had a marvellous 3 night stay with everything I needed, especially loved the big comfy bed. Would definitely return and can highly recommend.

  • Emma was a great host! We had a little problem with the sink which she fixed in no time after we had told her. The accomodation is quite small, however better equipped than my own kitchen. :) Emma has also left lots of recommendations what to do and where to eat in the area Nice place for a very fair price!

The Shepherds hut is a small, cosy hut next door to our free range hens and ducks. It is very basic, with no running water (toilets and sinks are in a nearby out-building, but we have no showering facilities as of yet) The hut is very well insulated so is easy to heat up to tasty temperatures, and their is also a wood burning stove and an electric heater (for those not into lighting fires) which gets the hut super warm nice and quickly.
The Shepherd's hut provides a comfy double bed which will be made up with bedding and blankets on your arrival. Other facilities include a fold out table hidden under the main table and chairs which can be used inside or carried out onto the spacious veranda so you can easily work indoors in the cosy hut or outside under the shade of the trees should the weather be sunny. The hut also has a woodburning stove for cooking and heating, an electric heater for instant cosyness if you don't want to bother with the fire and two side boards with cooking utensils and crockery including a microwave, cool box, storage container for water and a small kettle. The cabin is basic with only one double plug socket. There is no running water - there is a large container of water in the hut for you and more water can be found close by along with toileting facilities. The Shepherds hut provides the perfect simple get away for those on a limited budget wanting to get away from it all and live the simple life.
You've hens and ducks for neighbors. Within a 15 minute walk we have a lovely local italian, Ana Capri, and with 30 minutes walk an Indian restaurant and a British pub all of which serve great food. Our local pub, the robin hood, serves free cheese and crackers on Fridays from 5.30pm. Its a dog friendly pub and has 2 fire places which are usually lit during the winter months. The locals are friendly, they will want to know who you are so do chat with them!
  • Great place to stay if you are looking to get away from it all. Nice and chilled out location, worked really well for me as I needed somewhere cheap and close to where I was mountain bike racing. The bed was also very comfortable.

  • With a warm welcome on a beautiful farm you'll find your very own private little corner of peace. Its my perfect cozy little home. There's a lovely walk to a beautiful stream, amazing sunsets over the valley on a hill near some dairy cows and a fire stove in the hut if needed. Ramsbottom is near by which has lovely markets to stock up on food, water etc and there's also a waterfall a 10 min drive away. The toilet and sink are a 1 min potter by foot. If you want a private basic peaceful place to totally escape, look no further. Its my idea of heaven. I'll be back.

  • Absolutely perfect get away

    Angela2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay. When you're there it feels remote but it is only a short walk to the village with a local shop and restaurant and a short drive to major cities. Dot popped over to make sure everything was OK but apart from that it felt like I only shared the space with chickens and cows so for anyone wanting to escape the rat race for a day or two it's a perfect location.

    lorraine2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Shepherd's Hut was a lovely place to stay for some peace and quiet to get on with work. The scenery was lovely and very private. The Hut itself is basic but clean and warm. The area is quite remote but there's a shop about 25mins walk away for necessities. I had a really pleasant stay and much thanks to Dot for showing me how to build a fire. Things to be aware of: The bathroom facilities are a few yards away which can be inconvenient at night and they quite basic so trying to have anything but a face wash was a bit of a faff. Also, the fire place does a great job of heating the room but is small and difficult to cook on. I had a good fire for an hour without bringing the kettle to the boil. Luckily, I was allowed to use the kettle and microwave in the barn.

    Tonia2016-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful little escape here for a weekend. The fire is an excellent touch and warms the hut very quickly. The farm is great i would recommend it to anyone.

  • Dot and family were helpful and friendly, and the Shack was the perfect place to get away for a few days. Close to gorgeous country walks, quiet and pleasant surroundings, very comfortable bed, and all the necessary amenities. Loved my stay here.

  • Beautiful simple rural retreat , perfect if you love nature, farms and getting away from modern life. Basic but comfortable and its a very special little place for one person or two. Need to have own transport. Nice farm animals around. No bathroom but toilets and washbasins nearby on farm. Lovely people. Peaceful and scenic surroundings.

You're in pole position for Bacup's shops & buses, as well as countless mountain bike trails & moorland walks. With Burnley FC's Turf Moor a 17-min drive away, there's Premiership soccer nearby too. A 16-min drive the other way takes you to Yorkshire - free parking at Todmorden Railway station is good for visiting Manchester or Leeds. After a busy day, you’ll be glad for the home comforts in your luxury flat. Great for short or longer term stays. On street parking available immediately outside.
The flat is one of only 4 flats in the block. The other 3 are let to long term tenants but this one has never been lived in permanently. The whole building has been extended and fully renovated in 2017. Its safe and new - with new electrics, insulation, roof, double glazed windows, doors and sound proofing all replaced. The kitchen and shower room are fully tiled, including the floors. The flat has been equipped for, and can sleep up to, 4 people but the sofa bed is not a large double.
Bacup is an old Victorian mill town set in the foothills of the Pennines and is renown for its friendly people. There is a wealth of historical buildings and if you love old architecture, this is the place to come. You don't need to leave the flat either with historical buildings in view from both the front and rear windows. Bacup has its own thriving historical society (open twice a week) which is packed to the rafters with interesting and unusual objects. However as the mills have declined, so has the prosperity of the town centre. There are plenty of late night takeaways - handy for supper but far enough away from the flat so you wont get noise or smells. Mario's Italian Restaurant is a 3 minute walk from your front door and you'll be sure of a warm welcome. The 24 hour petrol station is a 5 minute walk away and there is a convenience store at the end of the road which has long opening times. The main supermarket is very close by too (Morrisons) which stocks a wide range of food including some hot dishes so there's no need to cook if you don't want to. There is a 2 million pound regeneration project underway and this has already seen improvements in the town centre. The Royal Court Theatre hold regular shows and further down the valley there are 2 more theatres. Outdoors, there are plenty of walks from your front door and you're never far from the hills. On Sat 7th Oct 2017, The Times newspaper listed one of our local walks 14th Best Autumn Walk in Britain. (setting off from the Crown Inn). Both the local park and the Adrenaline Gateway Mountain Bike trails are a 20min walk from the flat or 5 mins in the car.
  • Enjoyed my stay thank you. Lovely flat and a godsend to be honest. Helped me out while my flat was being redecorated. I have a friend who is coming up from London in November for a conference and needs a base close to Rochdale for a couple of days. So I'll pass on your details. Once again thank you. Phil

The Octagon is set in 2.2 acres of beautiful private woodland. It is visually secluded, and all yours for your group to explore and enjoy. The land is surrounded by open fields and farm tracks yet you are 15 mins walk from all town centre amenities.
The price shown is for the Octagon with 8-10 guests only. Further accomodation, 4 people in the caravan, 2 people in the yurt, can be rented separately depending on season and availability see prices below (discounts for yurt and caravan apply for stays over 3 nights) The wood fired hot tub and sauna is an extra £250 for up to 3 days. The main space is 7.9m (26ft) at its widest diagonals, and 3.6m (12ft) high at its central dome. The furniture can be arranged to provide an open space for dancing, yoga, meditation, group work or a meeting etc, or for socialising around the woodburner. The Clearview woodburner has an 8Kw output, and the whole building is fully insulated, so it's hot enough to keep you toasty warm even in prolonged sub zero temperatures. The small open plan kitchen has a 4 ring gas hob with a grill and not very powerful oven, fridge, microwave and a belfast sink with hot and cold water. A small double sofa bed is here for guests 9 and 10. ( Please note, although there are roller blinds to the windows, we can't stop the morning light shining through the central dome light which some people may find uncomfortable, especially in summer. We provide eye masks, or bring your own.) There are two folding tables, table cloth, and 12 folding chairs for indoor banquets. We have provided a list of numerous takeaways who will deliver for a small charge. We can also arrange to have a pop up restaurant arrive for a more culinary alternative. ( See Other Notes) There are two wings to the building, the larger has a compact bunk room with two sets of bunk beds, and a small bedroom with kingsize bed. Both rooms have sliding doors to the outside. The smaller wing has a very compact bedroom with kingsize bed and a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. There is an additional outdoor composting toilet made from recycled materials with rainwater harvested hand wash sink and solar powered lighting. Outside there is a large potbellied stove and cushioned seating for your comfort. There is also a large banquetting table and benches along with a further covered seating area. An entrance leads to the lawn and decking area with more seating and outdoor furniture. There is a 15ft diameter yurt available, set up next to the Octagon ( Please note, the yurt is only available from mid April to mid October ) It is furnished with Turkish rug walls, a double bed and a wood burning stove. The price is £75 per night. We can also provide a large touring caravan that can sleep 4 in two rooms also for £75 a night. It has a toilet and room divider between the beds. Further into the site there is a Celtic ogham tree circle with central firepit (fire pit use by arrangement) for your magical ceremonies or simple tree and shrub identification! There's a trampoline and some toddler toys in a play space and a path round the woods. In Conifer Corner you will find the 'bed in a shed' available free to use if you book the yurt or caravan. It's for more hardy campers! ( bring your own bedding)
Accrington is an ancient settlement mentioned in the Doomsday book. During the industrial revolution large areas of terraced housing were built to house cotton workers which still gives the town its milltown character. For historical days out locally there is Helmshore textile museum, Clitheroe Castle, Houghton Tower, Salmesbury Hall and Townley Hall. For hysterical days out there is the Jumpworks trampoline venue. Holmes Mill brewery Clitheroe and outdoor zip line and other experiences at Outdoor Elements, Simonstone. For culture vultures there is Accrington's Haworth art gallery with its Tiffany glass. Footy fans can take a trip to see Accrington Stanley one of the founders of the football league. The town has late night pubs and clubs, and there is Grants Bar with its own micro brewery, and The Swan pub 10 minutes walk away at the bottom of Sandy Lane. Walkers can take the track up Sandy Lane and in 45 mins find yourself on the top of Celtic named Hambledon Hill with views across Lancashire to Blackpool tower on a clear day. For a quick stroll enter Tag Clough which locals call Bluebell Wood, an area of ancient woodland with a stream just 200m from our meadow. There is also the Coppice area, donated to Accrington, by Robert Peel founder of the police force, which has a network of footpaths leading to a monument with great views over the town and surrounding area.
  • We were a group of 7 friends staying for the weekend at The Octagon. It was the most 'rustic' place we've chosen for our weekends away but we all loved it. When we arrived, Ian was there to meet us - he'd lit the fire and the outside fairy lights were on so it was really warm and cosy. He showed us where everything was/how everything worked and made us completely at ease and very welcome. It was my first AirbnB experience so this bodes well! The facilities were all we needed and we even braved the compost toilet once or twice! We had everything we could want (comfy beds, comfy sofas, more than enough tables/chairs, towels etc) including enough fuel to keep the fire going the entire weekend! It was a really comfortable (and clean!)experience. It is good that we were all close friends though, the walls could be a bit thin! The mobile sauna was an excellent experience too! I also received a text from Ian the next day to check we were all ok which was very thoughtful. I'd highly recommend The Octagon, we had an excellent time and were made to feel very welcome.

  • This place is totally brilliant! Really unique accommodation and a lovely setting. Definitely coming back.

    Jim2016-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at the octagon. That Ian made the building himself is very impressive. It is beautifully done and very cosy. The fire outside was great and we enjoyed having a go on the trampoline. Ian was a great host, collecting some of our party from the station as we were all arriving at different times. We will definitely be back.

    Leony2015-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was hassle free; Ian was very prompt in replying to messages in the build up to the stay, and checking in was easy. The place itself is amazing; incredible that Ian built it in such a short period of time. A truly unique building that was very relaxing to stay in, helped by the accommodating nature of the hosts. The grounds the house is in are beautiful as well, so quiet and tranquil. A great trip

  • Ian and Donna have made this the perfect place for a group celebration. Spacious, clean, nice touches. Our group of 18 had a wonderful time and look forward to returning.

  • My party visited here for my best friend's hen do and we had the most amazing weekend at the Octagon! It is even better in real life than it is in the pictures. Beautiful space, quiet relaxing, away from everywhere but near enough to shops so when you run out of booze someone can quickly nip to Aldi for more Prosecco. Hot tub and sauna were easy to use and a brilliant addition! We only met Ian but what a lovely man. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and would he great for parties of all ages etc. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a fabulous time. Oh and the beds are s(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) comfy ☺☺☺

The surroundings were even better than expected, beautiful fresh flowers in my bedroom and private bathroom. Ruth was very attentive, prepared to spend time in conversation and was fun to be around. • I cannot say enough good about Ruth and the little heaven she has curated in the hills of Rossendale. It's quiet, safe, secluded, and rather lost in time (but with good wifi). The wind above, the rain on the windows, distant bleating of sheep, the morning birds, and muffled laughter heading up from the kitchen are 99% of what you'll hear during your stay. The location is truly remarkable, but Ruth makes it what it is. She is the kind of person that true BnBs were made for with her genuine concern for others and the ability to simultaneously create a delicious meal while holding a conversation and making you feel like what you're saying is the most interesting thing she's heard all day. I've hosted BnBs for many years and she sets a new standard for me. The beds are comfortable (I've stayed in two separate rooms) and it's all clean to a high standard despite the (adorable) small dogs that frequent their spot in the kitchen. They are limited to that one with tile floors and spend most of the time outside. I am sensitive to pets and had zero issues. It's cozy and updated inside with 2 foot thick stone walls and window wells with living spaces and a bright and spacious conservatory (greenhouse) facing the south. This is a great spot for me as an artist and traveler, for a remote working traveler, or a couple on holiday. It would also make a fantastic writing retreat, especially considering our proximity to the Bronte homestead. Manchester is a short drive for international flights. I don't think this is ideal for those without their own transportation, though uber or cabs likely serve the area. Ruth will have you feel at home in no time. Alf, the only neighbor and frequent guest at the table is someone you'll want to meet as well. I have more adventures planned that take me from here, but I'm hesitant to leave because I know from experience that a place like this is uncommon.

  • Ruth is a wonderful host, has a lovely home and would recommend to anyone. Received the warmest welcome and felt like I was just staying with a friend! My bedroom was so comfortable and relaxing and woke up to a delicious breakfast in the morning. Was an absolute pleasure to stay with Ruth.

  • Ruth is a lovely host and this is, without a doubt, the best place I have stayed with air bnb. She is very welcoming and also very friendly - always offering to put the kettle on and offering home made goodies! I would highly recommend staying here, infact it's a must! Thanks Ruth!

The location is a rural idyll along a single track road in the upper Calder Valley and is a great place to explore. The cities of Leeds and Manchester are within a 30-mile radius. Lots of great walks and cycle rides for all abilities are on our doorstep, whether you want a canal stroll, a moorland romp or a rock climb. We are on the route of the Pennine Way, the Pennine Bridleway, and we are within a mile of the Calderdale Way. Hebden Bridge and the historic village of Heptonstall are both a wonderful 3 to 4 miles walk away mostly along an old mill stream and through woodlands - you can get the bus back if it all becomes too much. The World Heritage site at Saltaire, the home of the Brontes in Haworth, ancient ruins at Bolton Abbey, steam railways at Bolton Abbey and Haworth (The Worth Valley Railway) are all readily accessible by car.
  • Barbara and Tony's house is just beautiful. Surrounded by gorgeous walks and wildlife. The house is lovely and very comfortable and there is a magical cabin in the woods that is just about the nicest place to sit and read. Will most certainly be back.

  • A truly delightful place to relax and unwind. Barbara and Tony have a beautiful home and are tremendous hosts. The surroundings are spectacular and peaceful. Each morning we would wake up and eat breakfast while the ducks pottered around outside… to be honest we didn't want to leave. Barbara and Tony are very knowledgable about the local area, with lots of printed information at hand, and we are so thankful for their hospitality. We will be back!!!

  • Tony and Barbara are lovely hosts and went well beyond what was necessary to make our stay special. I could not fault anything about our stay, it was relaxing and perfect. The bedroom and ensure was spacious and warm, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the views from all aspects of the house were a delight. It was a pleasure to cook for them on the last night, they did so much for us. We wish them all success with their Airbnb venture and look forward to booking again ! Thank you to two kind and lovely people Gill And Martin

  • What a beautiful place this is. The space was private and so well equipped. Barbara and Tony had thought of everything and could not have made us feel more welcome. They are absolute treasures and we can't recommend this place enough. It snowed too, which added to the magic. We will be back in the summer. Thank you

    Anna2017-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about my stay at Barbara and Anthony's was a real treat. The farmhouse is in a beautiful, secluded position surrounded by woods and fields, yet it is a short drive to Hebden Bridge or an hour's walk along a lovely bridlepath beside the river. There is a great little farm shop within easy walking distance. Anthony and Barbara are warm and welcoming and really go the extra mile in every way. They are a mine of information about the local area and its history. Their home is a delight, and the room and bathroom are filled with luxury extras. The cabin over the millpond is a special place to read or sketch or just be. Hebden Bridge is a unique place and I spent a day there exploring the town and walking along the canal path. If you want a car-free day you can walk down and get the bus back. (Anthony's recommendation!) Heptonstall is very close by - a fascinating village and burial place of Sylvia Plath. Haworth is half an hour away, Saltaire an hour. I cannot recommend this b&b highly enough and so much is down to Anthony and Barbara's exceptional hosting. I would love to come back for longer next time!

    Elaine 2017-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Tony and Barbara are the kindest hosts I have ever encountered through AirBnb. Their home is a beautifully converted barn nestled in the Yorkshire moors and within walking distance to Hebden Bridge via Pennine Way. The accommodation is gorgeous, including a very comfortable bed, sofa, additional loft (up a cute ladder), personal bathroom and mini fridge. Beyond the incredible location and room, sharing their company was by far our highlight. They were full of suggestions for local walks and attractions, and willing to share their time over breakfasts or in the evening to discuss local life and culture. I cannot recommend them enough; we will absolutely be staying with them when we come to the area again!

My place is close to The Calderdale and Pennine Way with local bus service. It is perfect for walkers, cyclists or anyone who would like a restful holiday. . You’ll love my place because of The stunning views and breathtaking scenery of the Calderdale Valley. . My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets).
  • What a gorgeous place! We were welcomed warmly on arrival and Tracy had provided milk, tea, coffee and a lovely Prosecco in the fully kitted kitchen. The rooms were spotless and bathrooms are modern with great shower! Views over the country were stunning and external seats with table available for lovely evenings. Hebden Bridge was a short drive away and is a lovely place to visit. Leeds, Bradford and Halifax all an hour's run from the cottage. An idyllic place if you want a restful break but close enough for bright lights if you want a more energetic visit to West Yorkshire!

Tracy's farm located at the highest point of Blackshaw head , with fantastic scenery and countryside, yet easy access into Hebden Bridge centre. Cottage is new, clean and cozy. Kitchen is well equipped and bed is so comfy. ( the best sleep ever I had after a long time.) We absolutely loved our stay in Apple Farm Cottage and hope we will return someday. Cant recommend it highly enough.

  • What a charming place to stay we loved it. Joanne the host was extremely helpful in communicating useful information to enhance our stay. The cottage is well equipped with good quality items and was immaculately clean. The beds were very comfortable. The cottage was quiet and peaceful and we couldn't have been more impressed. We will try to re visit soon we enjoyed our stay so much we didn't want to leave ( August 2017)

  • Such a cosy little cottage yet plenty of space so you dont feel like you're under each others feet. We loved the evenings sitting in the beautiful kitchen with the log fire burning. My young girls have even asked if they can have the same bedroom at home. The cottage was equipped not only with the essentials but books, games and DVD's which kept the children amused all week. Surrounded by rolling countryside makes your stay so peaceful and relaxing. Joanne was the perfect host and treated us to eggs from her ducks and welcomed us with yummy home made cake. This cottage tops a stay in any of the hotels we usually stay in and I will be recomending it to all my friends. Thank you Joanne.

  • This is the perfect cottage for a relaxing break in Hebden Bridge. It really does feel like a home from home and Joanne makes sure that you are looked after brilliantly. We arrived with our two sons to find freshly laid hen eggs and the most delicious chocolate cake. There was milk in the fridge and tea and coffee supplies which was just what we needed after a long journey. The cottage is decorated very stylishy and is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need whilst you are there. Lots of books, dvds and games to keep you entertained on a rainy day which was a lovely addition. The beds are so comfortable and the views are great. Lots of lovely walks to do so that you can fully appreciate the scenery. We really wanted to stay longer and will definitely go back.

Place is clean, modern, yet cosy with the fire and logs at the heart of it- had a wonderful time and found exactly what we were looking- a quiet retreat in the moors of Lancashire- also great communication with Richard and a lovely welcome thought in the form of eggs from his farm, which he left us :) recommend to anyone and everyone, who wants to have a lovely stay in the south pennines

  • We absolutely loved staying at Helen's. The location was fab (very short drive to the great town of Hebden Bridge which we loved exploring) and the cottage was really comfortable, super clean and we felt right at home as soon as we got there. There's a lovely big bath for wallowing in, plus cosy sofas and there are friendly chickens, sheep and horses right in the garden which has stunning views over the countryside. The whole region is absolutely beautiful. Recommend taking the Heptonstall Road route rather than the steep zig-zaggy Church Lane way that the sat nav wants you to take, if driving there from the town! Gabi & Ellen

Excellent hosts and a friendly welcome, with a lovely box of essentials waiting for us (including a treat for the dog!). We asked for a few extras during our stay and they were provided without hesitation. Good location and easy enough to get into Hebden Bridge. Local pub a few minutes walk away is an added bonus. There is no TV so if you can't live without one then take a laptop (wifi signal is excellent) but failing that there's lots of board games to keep you entertained! Would recommend. Thank you Helen

The cottage is very well kitted out with a wonderful view of the local hills of Hebden. Both bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathroom is also nicely done with a lovely bath to soak in. If the weather is nice then you can enjoy sitting in the garden soaking up the views and the sun. This place is highly recommended!

  • A lovely little house indeed, in a quiet upmarket part of Burnley near the golf course. The house features a cosy lounge, a homely family kitchen and while the weather didn't really welcome us out, the garden looked perfect for relaxing. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, with comfortable beds: two with doubles and one small bedroom with a wooden toddler/child bed, one bathroom with a tap that flashes colourfully, and one separate toilet. We came as a family of five for a family event for the weekend and it was like being at home. Paul the neighbour welcomed us in and was very flexible with our late arrival at 10pm, we had a welcome bottle of wine which after 6h driving was very enjoyable. We had a perfect stay and Paul and Jon made us feel very much welcome. We will definitely come back.

The house dates back to around 1846 so it's full of character and quirkiness. It's a back to back but on 4 levels including a cellar and wooden floorboards in the upstairs rooms. It's south facing so we get a lot of light in the house. There are lovely views of the dramatic Calder Valley hills. It's quite rugged around these parts and you may meet deer or the three wild horses with dread-locked manes that live on the hill on the opposite side of the valley. You may also see a steam train travelling along the track outside the window if you're lucky!
The neighbourhood is exceptional. The people are extremely friendly and always willing to lend a hand. Todmorden is internationally known for Incredible Edible, a community benefit group that aim to provide good local food for all. There has been a recent film featuring the project called Demain. Check it out! There's a fantastic country pub 10 mins down the road from the house called the Staff of Life. The food is excellent. If you fancy going into Todmorden there's a great Thai restaurant called Hanuman. Loads of great cafe's too in Tod, catering for veggies and vegans alike. Local walks: there is a wonderful hour's walk from Cornholme to Todmorden that takes you up the hills, through Beech woods, across a stream and down into Lydgate. From there you can walk though Centre Vale park into Todmorden. There are plenty more local walks from my house, one of which takes you up to a dilapidated Baptist chapel dating back to the 1700's. I can give you directions. There's also Havok mountain bike park set in a forest in Cornholme with red graded downhill runs, a freeride section and dirt jumps.
  • Donna came across as friendly from the first message and we had a very relaxed stay. She was happy and friendly when we arrived and we felt at home straight away. Donna's home is set in a small village but there are several pubs and shops locally. Would certainly stay again if in the area.

  • Donna's place was lovely, she's a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome in our short stay there. The bed is super comfy and the countryside there was beautiful, thanks again!

  • We had a wonderful if short stay in Donna's lovely home. Donna was great at communicating before for we arrived and made us feel very welcome when we eventually did. It was exactly what a classics airbnb stay should be. Sharing a nice home with a very nice host.

  • Donna has a beautiful home in a charming and quiet location. She is a very warm and friendly person. We're very happy to have chosen to stay there.

  • Donna is a fantastic host (even all the way from India!). We had the place to ourselves while Donna was away and breakfast was still organised for us and we were made to feel right at home. The place is beautiful with a very comfortable and warm bed. The town itself is lovely and a perfect place to explore around or even make a trip to the Lake District. We would recommend this place to everyone!

  • Peace and tranquility which was just what I needed - Donna is a wonderful host and her lovely home is situate in a beautiful location - I made use of the local buses which run every 10 mins and toured the south of Yorkshire including todmorden and hebden bridge - would highly recommend. I also had a fab meal at the staff of life pub which is in walking distance of donna's - thanks again for a great couple of days.

Beautiful single room in an 18th Century cottage in the heart of Edenfield, Ramsbottom. Close to Bury and Manchester. Shared lovely bathroom with wrought iron Albion bath. Tea/coffee making facilities. Guests can help themselves to cereal, juice & toast. Duck down feather duvet, cotton sheets and towels. Clean & tidy. Extra single bed is available at an extra cost but room will be snug!
Cosy cottage with lots of character and contemporary furnishings. Quaint courtyard for relaxing in on a sunny day
Edenfield retains the village charm and has amazing views of Holcombe Hill. There is a community feel within the village, it boasts a cricket club, village pub, traditional bakery, producing homemade produce and a cafe ideal for a full cooked breakfast and it's very own licensed fish & chip shop. Close to the historic town of Ramsbottom (voted one of the top 10 places to live/eat 2016) which has an abundance of independent shops and a good variety of traditional cosy pubs/modern bars and its very own steam train. Walking and cycling routes start from my doorstep with Holcombe/Pendle Hill and a number of country parks within easy travelling distance. Manchester, Bury and Bolton with their large array of designer shops and trendy eateries are accessible by car or public transport. This would make an ideal choice for someone looking for a relaxing stay and the perfect base for cyclists, walkers and shoppers.

  • Frans home is absolutely beautiful, my only regret was that I didn't get to spend more time there! Fran was really welcoming, I was late and flustered as I had such a long journey, but she was completely understanding and put me at ease. Fran offered me a brew and we just sat and chatted like old friends. My room was lovely, comfortable and clean. It was perfect for me. In the morning I was told to help myself to breakfast and Fran had laid out the table especially for me, it was lovely. I felt so taken care of. Thank you Fran for welcoming me and making me feel comfortable in your beautiful home!

    Bethany2017-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • It is a beautiful little cottage and everywhere was spotlessly clean and fragrant! Fran was a very friendly, welcoming hostess and she really made me feel at home. Breakfast was very good, with several cereals to choose from, plenty of fresh fruit & Greek yoghurt, toast & delicious jam/marmalade, orange juice and tea/coffee. My bed was really comfortable and I had drink-making facilities in my room. It was a pleasure to stay here and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B & B.

    Angela2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • I can highly recommend this charming cottage in Lancashire. It is lovingly & beautifully decorated in shabby chic by the owner, Fran, who is a very caring & welcoming hostess. To stay here is to give yourself a real treat, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. I just love it!

    Valerie Carole2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect host. Right from the start, Fran went out of her way to make sure my stay was as pleasant as possible. She is perfectly happy to have a good chat or to leave you to your own devices, depending on your preference. Her wonderful little cottage is located on a quiet residential street with plenty of road-side parking, with easy access to the nearby towns, and Manchester down the motorway. The room is delightful and very cosy, with a comfortable bed, wardrobe and tea-making facilities, plus a few complimentary treats on the side. I was instantly made to feel like a welcome part of the household and I would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended! Wonderful chippy just round the corner too...

The decor is modern but in keeping with the cottagy feeling, it was 2 old mill houses, that has been knocked through to make, one very big house, it is very charming.
There is shared dinning space and kitchen. there is a washing machine and dryer for guest that are staying 2 or more nights for free, or £2.00 per use of either if only staying the 1 night
The street is very very quiet, the neighbours are very quiet, they are all very friendly, the house is only one of 4 on the Terrace. The house is very near the East Lancs Railway, Tesco, Asda, Marcs & Spencers, wine bars, restaurants, great parks, and a ski slope, there is a bus that goes through to Manchester, it takes about 40mins, on Saturday it goes through the night, the last one from Manchester is 3am, the cost of a return ticket is £8.20, the cost goes down, the more people are travelling, all these amenities are within walking distance.

My place is situated in a rural location with great views and plenty of outdoor activities. The area is good for walking, cycling, running and generally enjoying the lovely scenery. It also has easy links to Manchester, Leeds and the surrounding Pennine area. The market towns of Todmorden, Littleborough and Hebden Bridge are all within 15 minute drive. The property has been recently renovated with original features maintained. It is ideal for couples, solo adverturers and furry friends (pets)
The property is a self contained cottage which includes a ground floor kitchen / living area and a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor,
It is a semi rural location with a friendly village atmosphere. There are numerous larger towns within a short distance that have all the expected shops, restaurants and nightlife.
  • What a lovely find. Clare and Chris were welcoming and their place is in a beautiful secluded spot nestled in the valley next to the canal. Great spot for visiting Todmorden, as we were for the fabulous folk festival. The bloke up past the next lock was having luck catching bream and carp so I think I'll bring the rod next time. And I'm sure that there will be a next time :-)

This large double bedroom is available in our family home, a (very) old stone built former-farmhouse in Broadclough, just outside Bacup. The house has easy access to the beautiful East Lancashire Moors, local amenities and motorways.
This large, clean double bedroom containing a king size bed and a dressing table with drawers available for use. We also have a travel cot and double air bed that could be used for children and another spare room that could be utilized for an extra guest if required; please contact us for more information. *1 additional guest in the same room won't be charged but an additional fee will be charged for extra guests or if an extra room is required.* In addition, the room contains a double wardrobe, and a a large chest of drawers and a tallboy. Normally, these are utilized by us, but we can leave them empty if storage is required. A shared family bathroom is immediately next to the room. There is free wireless internet connection available throughout the house (bear in mind there's no TV in the room, most guests watch movies and TV through their laptop but you're welcome to watch TV with us in the living room). Drinks and snacks can be provided to be taken in the room as desired. We do not provide a cooked breakfast but you will be able to help yourself to toast and cereal and other meals can be provided if required. Vegetarians and Vegans can be catered for. Clean and fresh towels and bed linen will be provided. Pets are welcome (within reason!).
*Please note: AirBnB does not necessarily show you the property nearest to your search criteria, so please check that Broadclough Farm is actually where you want to stay before booking* Broadclough Farm is located in the heart of the East Lancashire Moors, on the edge of the beautiful Rossendale Valley. Situated about a mile out of Bacup proper, Broadclough is a small hamlet whose name literally means broad valley; it has the feel of a rural hamlet whilst being within walking distance of the amenities of Bacup. English Heritage proclaimed Bacup to be the best preserved cotton town in England. It's a quiet and sleepy place with a high street full of local shops. Plus it retains many of the quirky folk festivities (such as the Britannia Coconutters beating the bounds) that most other places have lost over the last 60 years. For many, Bacup is becoming a destination in it's own right. The East Lancashire Railway is a heritage railway located around 5 miles away in Rawtenstall. The railways is a great day out and sees steam trains and other locomotives taking passengers to Heywood in Greater Manchester (from where you can easily jump on the Metrolink into Manchester centre if you wanted). Within minutes' walk from the house, you'll find some Dark Age earthworks, called Broadclough Dykes. The dykes are associated with the Battle of Brannaburg, one of the most important battle's in the history of the British Isles. The battle saw Anglo-Saxon King Æthelstan, grandson of Alfred the Great (who ruled the English kingdoms), defeat an army made up of Welsh, Scots, Irish and Vikings, following his annexation of Kingdom of Northumberland. Leading Æthelstan to be regarded by most, as the first King of England. Rossendale has the densest network of public rights of way in Lancashire and Broadclough is the perfect place to set out hiking from. So you can go off rambling over the moors and through the cloughs (valleys) to your hearts content if that's what you fancy. We're in an out of the way, although easily accessible, location; if you're looking for somewhere in the heart of a town or city then we're probably not the right place for you. Having said that, although we do back onto the moors, we're not in a completely isolated spot. Whether you're looking for a summer holiday, a winter break or just want a night or two away, we hope you'll consider staying with us at Broadclough Farm and enjoy what we and the area has to offer.
  • Rachel and Simon's house is great; full of character, history and loving family energy. I really appreciated their openness to share their food as well as their space with my baby daughter and me. We arrived late in a horrendous hail storm and Simon came out in his waterproofs to guide me into a parking space and help me with the luggage. Rachel and Leon (their young son) had already gone to bed but we met them in the morning - both just as friendly and welcoming as Simon! The bedroom is plenty big enough to fit a travel cot (which they'd supplied) as well as a comfy double bed and we both slept very well. The shared bathroom is clean, light and airy. It's a lovely home with lovely people and fantastic value - I recommend most highly!

    Lucy2015-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed very much staying with Rachel en Simon, their 5 year old son Leon, and enjoyed the cats and dogs. The room was clean and everything we needed was there. We found it special to stay in an old farm house; we liked the atmosphere and enjoyed the talks. The road in front of the house can be a bit busy, but on both sides of the road are green hills. We enjoyed walking through green fields with sheep, and see some moors. The town of Bacup is within walking distance and has enough shops, pubs, places to eat, and 2 supermarkets. Bus services to neighbouring towns are quite good.

    Yvonne2015-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel And Simon were fantastic hosts. An extremly welcoming family, and full of great travel advice. Simon spent a long time giving my wife suggestions, and helping her plan further stops. Everything was set up for our arrival, and extremly clean and comfortable. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

    Alan2015-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I had a nice time staying with Rachel and Simon. Rachel was very helpful and friendly. The house is indeed an old farmhouse. It has lots of charm. As is indicated, they are still working on remodeling it but that didn't cause us a any problems. The room was very nice and Rachel even had a welcome basket with fruit and other items available for our use. Bacup is a small out of the way town, but we found it accessible to the places we wanted to visit.

    Laurie2015-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great one night stop over with these guys! It was a last minute booking but they found us a spot and invited us to eat dinner with them. We had a great evening chatting and Rachel and Simon were happy to share some local knowledge. The house was clean and comfortable and breakfast was provided. If you want a place that feels like visiting a friend of a friend then I recommend here.

    Nicole2015-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel and Simon were unbelievably welcoming. We came to their house just looking for some relaxation and exploration of the countryside and they delivered both in spades. Rachel is so friendly and easy to talk to about anything, really, and Simon has so much to share about local and British history. Rachel's cooking was absolutely fantastic. She cooked delicious meals both nights of our stay and provided plenty for self-serve breakfast. Simon took us on a long walk with their gorgeous dog, Fern, and we actually did some legitimate exploring. He took us out onto some of the public footpaths around Bacup and we wandered down to a part of the river that he had never been to. We found ourselves walking among the ruins of an old dye works next to the river. They were really cool to check out, especially with Simon because he gets so into discovering new things. I highly recommend a stroll with him if you get the chance. In short, it exceeded our expectations by far. The bed was heavenly, as well, and the room was beautiful. I can not recommend this place enough if you find yourself in Bacup. It's actually worth a trip to the town just to visit this marvelous family. Should we find ourselves nearby again, we will definitely be returning.

    Ryan and Liz2014-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel and Simon are a delightful young couple who were most welcoming and offered to share their evening meal on arrival. We would certainly stay again if in the area. Rosalind & Jeremy

Our beautiful semi-detached Victorian town house is situated in a very friendly and pretty part of Todmorden. It is a brisk 10 minute walk from Tod centre and backs onto hills and woods. The room is comfortable, clean and (like the rest of the house) charmingly shabby. Breakfast is not provided but guests are welcome to use kitchen facilities. Hosted by Hannah and Dan. The room has been unavailable for a year or so but we're now hosting again and enjoying welcoming guests once more!
Good sized bedroom on the first floor next to the bathroom. Quiet location with a nice outlook. There is a single bed, a desk and swivel chair and a big old comfy chair for those thoughtful moments. This room is used as a photographic studio for Dan's design business when not occupied by a guest which gives it more of a designer-loft than cosy-cottage style!
Todmorden (Tod) has a lively local community with a lot interesting things going on. A very popular market in the middle of town (indoor and outdoor). Good pubs ( from Thursday over weekend is best). Wonderful for walking and cycling. House backs onto hillside with easy access to the moors including The Pennine Way and The Calderdale Way. And there is a soothing background of clucking, tweeting and tooting to soothe your stay. The neighbourhood round the house is quiet, friendly and pleasantly picturesque. And we are on the sunny side of the valley which counts for a lot round here!

Breakfast round the kitchen table..lovely. Highly recommend a visit..lots to do in Tod and surrounding areas also.

  • I had such a great experience staying at Hannah and Dans lovely cottage on the hill. I felt welcomed straight away and the room was very comfortable and cosy! I had a lovely chat with Dan about his amazing creations and I was lucky enough to see some of his masterpieces in his workshop. I felt right at home. It is in a great location as the centre is within walking distance. • Chris made us feel very welcome, when we arrived feeling tired from our travels she made us a nice cup of tea. Our room was clean and tidy and we had our own private bathroom, the bedroom and bathroom within the farm house felt self contained and private. Visitors are invited and have use of a lovely farmhouse kitchen with a large range cooker, there you can help yourself to tea and coffee. I had a perfect nights sleep as it was so quiet, no noise whatsoever, we then had a wonderful breakfast in the morning. The farmhouse is surrounded by fields, horses and countryside on a hill with amazing views. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

  • A nice place - though the doors do not have locks and my communication with the host was a little misleading around this.

We are delighted to offer 3 bedrooms in our modern, detached house. One room has a king size bed, and the other two each have a double bed. There are two bathrooms, shared between the 3 bedrooms, so if you book for four people or fewer, you will have sole use of those facilities. Bed linen and towels are provided. Cooked breakfast is not included, but you are invited to help yourself to cereals, bread, tea, coffee and fruit juice. Off road parking is available, and there is parking allowed on the road. We have a secure garage which is available for storage of bicycles, walking gear etc. Ann and Jim live in the house and we're always happy to offer local advice whether it's about walking, dining, attractions etc. From £23 per night for the first person - £20 pp thereafter.
INCREDIBLE EDIBLE Todmorden is the home of the original Incredible Edible project, an urban gardening project started in 2008. Vegetables, herbs and fruit are now grown, by volunteers, all around the town, for anyone to pick and use. All of the Incredible Edible growing sites, are within a short, walking distance of our house. The 'Calder Valley' is a great place to explore within itself, and the cities of Leeds and Manchester are within a 25 mile radius. Lots of great walks for all abilities are on our doorstep, whether you want a canal stroll, a dales romp or a rock climb. We are on the route of the Calderdale Way, and Hebden Bridge is a 5 mile walk, mostly along the canal towpath. The local pub, which serves food and is currently number 1 on Trip Advisor, is a 5 minute stroll away, and there are several more places to eat, in the centre of Todmorden, which is a 15-20 minute walk.
  • Could not have felt any more welcome during my 2 weeks stay - Anne and Jim are fantastic hosts. A beautiful place to stay in a wonderful location. The house is in a quiet location was beautifully decorated, spacious, immaculately clean and both rooms that I stayed in were brilliant. Access to the kitchen just made the trip so easy especially since I was on a placement. Definitely recommend this place if you looking for

  • Ann and Jim were really warm great hosts, and I was warmly welcomed into their home upon arrival. I'd only booked the room hat afternoon, and communication was quick and efficient, meaning I could make my trip to Todmorden. The house was really clean and the bed was lovely and comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the shower was amazing. I would definitely recommend this AirBnB.

  • Ann has a lovely home. My stay, albeit short, was perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

    Andrea2015-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent hosts and excellent accommodation and buffet breakfast in a quiet location, with views and close to the centre of town Higly recommended

    John2015-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Large house around it with great scenery. The room is large, clean and leaves no wish unfulfilled. Ann and her husband is very nice and you could very well talk to her. The breakfast was great.

    Julian2015-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I (both late 20's) booked a room for a nearby wedding. The house itself is situated on a lovely, quiet estate about 20 mins walk from todmorden train station. It's a very nice and large house set over 3 floors. We were situated on the top floor which felt very private, especially as we had sole use of the bathroom. Ann and her husband were perfect hosts for us - helpful and welcoming but largely left us to it. Can't comment on breakfast as we didn't partake, but the open plan kitchen/living room seemed a very comfortable place to spend some time. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely recommend.

A newly renovated 2 bedroom cottage located in the centre of Ramsbottom. Ideally situated with good transport links to Bury, Bolton and Manchester Ramsbottom is a bustling market town with an array of great eateries and a thriving high street.
Originally two back to back mill workers cottages the Millhouse is a traditional stone built terrace that was completely renovated in 2015. Access is on the ground floor straight into a spacious kitchen/diner. Upstairs you will find a double bedroom, a second bedroom with two bunk beds and a lounge with a double sofa bed.
The property is located in the centre of Ramsbottom and surrounded by small businesses and other residential properties. Ramsbottom has a thriving high street full of independent shops and eateries.
  • Ramsbottom is a very quaint village with all amenities within walking distance, along with lovely weekend markets with local produce, and baking. The flat was close enough to the centre of Manchester, and yet far enough away to feel that you were in the country. Paul and Emma keep an immaculate and beautifully appointed cottage, and made us feel especially welcome with touches like milk, biscuits, and bread, and a bouquet of fresh daffodils on the table. We would definitely recommend their accommodation.

    Gerianne2016-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • The house is well located in the town, not far from anything. A beautiful little village. Perfect place for four people to stay.

  • My 1.5 months staying was very pleasant. Paul and Emma were very friendly and helpful. They prepared a small comfy bed for my little dog. There were some small nice surprises at the arrival such as welcome flowers......the place is very clean and close to public transportation with Morrison and Tesco at doorstep.Thank you Paul and Emma!

  • Charming and central, cozy and clean.

  • We stayed at Silver a Street while our house was being refurbished. The cottage is very cosy and felt like a home away from home for the week that we stayed. Paul provided us with a few bits to get us started but with shops galore on the doorstep we were never stuck for anything. The House of Beer downstairs was also a very welcome feature! Thank you very much Paul and family. A lovely stay!

  • This was our second visit and it was wonderful. We had such a lovely time. The cottage is cosy and looks out onto absolutely stunning scenery. We walked, talked and drank wine to our hearts content. Definitely going back.

  • Aisling is a prime example of how the Irish are! Upon arrival my family & I were made to feel very welcome. Communication before arrival was second to none. Though the cottage is attached to their home, they were very inconspicuous though going about their daily activities. With this, we were made to feel as though it was just us living there. They gave us ample space though always a phone call away. The views from the windows were outstandingly superb to say the least! Facilities at the cottage were also good! Thanks for have us.

    Abu 2015-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying in the cottage and it was as lovely as the first! With family nearby it is a perfect place for us to get away and we'll never tire of the breathtaking views, absolutely stunning. The cottage is so well equipped, we couldn't ask for more.

    Rachel2015-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Bridestones Cottage is a wonderfully cozy place, in a beautiful and remote location. It's quite, comfortable and clean...all very important for a nice stay. Unfortunately I was in the area for work, and was unable to take advantage of the great location for some surely wonderful hikes. But the views and peacefulness was a fantastic alternative. The entire place was spotless, and two comfortable bedrooms, a nice kitchen and bright bathroom combined to make me feel welcome and comfortable.

    Jeff2015-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was beautiful and really welcoming. The cottage was completely spotless and it felt as if we were just walking into a home we could call our own whilst we were there. The view were even bette than we had expected and we loved the fact that there was lots of information about the area as well as the map on the wall so we could work out where about in the area we were. We would visit again in a heart beat and hope to in the spring!!

    Sara2015-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Bridestones farm is a beautiful place to spend a few days, and the cottage itself is cosy and well appointed with all the amenities you could want for a short break. Local taxi company JB cars will take you down to Todmorden centre for £7.50, which makes it possible to get out and about without a car. Communication was good throughout our stay, and Aisling even leant us her iron and board as we were attending a wedding and needed to look smart! Definitely recommend staying at Bridestones.

  • What a find. This place was just as pictured and more. The views were spectacular and the place was well equipped and exactly as described. The check was easy. I didn't meet the host but everything was perfect!

  • Had a fantastic time away here. Right in the middle of fields with amazing views. Totally secluded but close enough to a few towns. The place is really cute with original beams and wood work. Totally recommend.

This quality barn conversion offers high standards with 2 large bedroom ensuite rooms and a open plan kitchen, lounge and dining space, there is also a downstairs cloakroom and utility room equipped with washer and dishwasher. An excellent place to unwind and spend relaxing time with family and friends. We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you Tracy for your kind hospitality

  • Great place from which to explore the area

    Dawn2017-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Tracy's. The Barn Conversion was very comfy, clean, cosy and well equipped. Tracy was helpful and offered useful info about walks etc. Hebden Bridge & Heptonstall are great for walking around and exploring. Hebden in particular is brilliant for independent shops and cafes and there seemed to be a really good arts scene.

  • By arrangement on the day, Tracy was there to meet us. She was very welcoming and answered all our questions. The accommodation was very comfortable and with all modern amenities. We didn't need any further assistance from Tracy but she was there to help if we required it. The property was very well stocked with essentials, but remember that Apple Tree Farm is in the hills and some distance from supermarkets and other amenities in the Calder valley. The views from the cottages are lovely (as they are from the whole of the Long Causeway running through Blackshaw Head and the other villages above the valley). We would definitely stay again. Thank you Tracy!

  • Apple tree farm is a beautiful cottage set Nicley out of the way up on the Tod hills. Couldn't fault a thing there including the host. Was made to feel welcome from as soon as we arrived. Everything in there you could possibly need and finished to a very high standard. Will defiantly be taking my family back again.

  • Fantastic 2 bed barn conversion with incredible views and access to the finest walks. Everything inside is immaculate, clean and cosy. This is a very recent barn conversion and everything is immaculate. I loved being all cosy inside, listening to the wind howling outside. The children loved the lamas and there are some beautiful walks on your doorstep.

Very comfy beds and great lounging sofa. Large TV with Netflicks. Kitchen well supplied for cooking, but we took advantage of the many nearby restaurants. Fran supplied a very lovely welcome package of assorted amenities. Modern heating and plumbing were very much appreciated and added to the overall experience of being very comfortable and cozy.
