We have long since wished there were easy ways to escape our busy city lives and retreat into a magical, beautiful and peaceful space that feels like another world. This idea eventually evolved into a mission to build with our own hands Melbourne's very own magical sanctuaries, and to share it with the rest of the world. We love imagining what we could create, to build, and to share them with the world through hosting. We constantly think about how to make our creations bring even greater sense of joy and wonder, and not about how much it'll cost us. We're genuinely excited and happy to host each new guest, to hear about what they love about our creations, and what we could do to make it even better. We have built and opened our first instalment of Melbourne's hidden sanctuary, which we lovingly refer to as "Heaven & Earth". We have plans to make it even better, as well as other ideas for other worlds we want to try building for our next instalments. All Melbourne's CBD attractions are within easy walking distance—you can reach Flinders Station, Federation Square, and the Yarra River in five minutes. Degraves Street is a three-minute walk, and Hardware Lane restaurants are six minutes away.

    Commanding views across historic City Hall and Paris End Skyscrapers, this centrally located apartment sits within the famous 1924 early modernist/Art Deco Capitol Theatre Building, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright trained architect, Walter Burley Griffin. Griffin is renowned for his design for Australia's capital city, Canberra.
    A modern one bed apartment in the absolute heart of the CBD overlooking the Second Empire style Neoclassical Melbourne Town Hall built in 1870. At just under 50 sq m (Melbourne inner city apartments are generally not as large as in suburbia and space is a premium) it is equipped for stays for one or two people. Features include comfortable queen size bed, Euro galley kitchen and contemporary bathroom. With public transport, restaurants, bars and much more at the doorstep, it is convenient to everything Melbourne city has to offer from 'Paris' end Collins St. shopping, to the Arts Precinct and Laneway coffee and food - it's all at your doorstep or within 10-15 minute walk. The Capitol Theatre building is heritage listed and as such, the original features such as the huge windows, and interior column detailing dating from 1924 are there to appreciate in original condition as a contrast to the more recent interior renovations and modernisation. The heritage listing also exerts it own challenges for owners and requires us to respect the original fabric of the building - such things as windows and walls cannot be altered and remain a beautiful and tangible reflection of times long past. The space is also a reflection of my life philosophy of "less is more". Clearing out superfluous items, walking/cycling or public transporting, and living in a space that is no larger than it needs to be for my needs - is benefiting the health of the planet and my own wellbeing. It is also an ideal way to live for those needing to travel frequently or perhaps just to love the feeling of freedom that comes with this lifestyle. I hope you enjoy as much as I do - the subtle patina of history that the space exudes and that is served so well by the convenience and aesthetics of the surrounding 'borrowed' landscape - the wonderful facades and 'living rooms' of the city, and its excellent transportation systems. Please enjoy my humble abode!
    Your first breakfast is on me if you want to stay 'in'! Cereals, croissants, fresh fruit, and milk are provided - or there are plenty of local alternatives a minute or two walk if you have a little more time. HOWEVER - Melbourne is internationally renowned for its food scene and brunch is an institution. Melbourne will only reveal its best to those who do a little curious research and get out and into it! Laneway cafes are within a short walk and offer great food from breakfast to dinner. DeGraves Street and Centre Place are famous for their cafe's and are only a 5 minute walk away. Federation Square is a short 6 minute walk and underground there you will find the Melbourne Visitor Centre for all your tourist information and booking needs. Drop by the Arts Precinct to catch a show or an exhibition or go shopping and eating to your hearts content. Currency exchange tellers and banks are in close proximity. There's a huge and diverse array of sights to see and things to do in Melbourne so I have provided a list of recommendations and brochures for your information. The Tourist Information Centre is 5-6 minutes walk away for extra help. I have also added a number of recommendations to the Guidebook, from top end restaurants and classy cocktails, Asian bao zi, and jao zi to 'eat and runs' and much more! Check it out! The apartment itself was fantastic, right in the middle of the CBD and I was able to walk to most places! The only noise you'll really hear inside is the tram, which I didn't mind at all.   • This apartment is right in the heart of the city so it's easy to walk to the art gallery, shops, restaurants and parks. Trams stop right outside and Flinders Street Station is a 5 minute walk away. All very convenient. The building is safe and secure. The apartment has everything you need for a city stay. It was ideal for me. It can be a little noisy during the day but at night it's quiet enough to sleep.

And Melbourne was so much fun once it became a game to avoid as many streets as possible (another Donna tip.)   • Location: The location is absolutely wonderful! Right in the city center and about 5 mins walk to Victoria Museum. More importantly, there are Mc,7-11,subway and a dozen Asian restaurants opening right next to the apartment building! And there is one Asian supermarkets opening from 9am to 12 pm each day! Would be life saver if you have an Asian stomach! Inside the apartment: love the deco! Very chic and IKEA style and has some lovely painting on the wall. The bed is soft, and the room is super clean with a nice view over the skyscrapers in Melbourne. I wish I could have stayed here for more night!

She also supplied lots of extra linen and was quick to respond. Only complaint would be that we needed an extra key, as there were four of us, it was difficult to have to share the one.   • We rented Nina's place for for 4 days for 2 couples and found the apartment to be good for a short city break. The location is quite central, and you're just a short walk away from shops and restaurants and trams, the beds are comfortable and the space is pleasant. The rooftop shared space is quite nice and there is an indoor pool as well. We had the added bonus of being there for NYE and had a great view of the rooftop fireworks! My only complaint would be that the place could do with a bit of a spring clean - the bathroom and kitchen were taken care of, but the rest of the apartment was very dusty.

    This beautiful studio apartment has been recently renovated and is ideally located in Fitzroy within walking distance to Melbourne CBD. It is ideal for a single person or a couple. The apartment is on the first floor of a small block of units (18 in total) surrounded by greenery. Our studio apartment (approximately 32m2) is tastefully decorated and has a large window overlooking Napier Street which gets lovely morning light.
    Fitzroy is one of the most exciting and vibrant neighbourhoods in Melbourne. Our apartment is located just off Gertrude Street, between Brunswick Street and Smith Street, all which offer some of the most interesting cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries and shops in town.
  • Kate & Has's apartment in Fitzroy was in a fantastic location. The apartment was very cute and cosy, perfect as a base when visiting Melbourne if you're out and about alot. Kate was super friendly to deal with and we loved the map with list of recommended cafes, bars etc in and around the area. As mentioned in previous review the hot water did run out quite quickly, this only affected us on one occasion and i decided to refrain from washing my hair for the weekend to make sure we could both take a shower but really it was not a big drama. All in all for us it was all the about the location and this apartment was certainly in a good one.

  • Kate and Has were very welcoming and accommodating. They have an information compendium waiting on the counter with lots of info. Also brochures on Fitzroy which was handy. Kate was in touch and nothing too much trouble, no question too silly which was fortunate for me because I have silly ones!!! The apartment was very cosy and in a really great spot. We went to breakfast as the many cafes and had dinner one night at the pub on the corner. Fitzroy is well located to be able to get anywhere relatively quickly in Melbourne. There is a secure carpark which is easy to get into and was a fantastic inclusion. Will be back we loved it.

My sister (who met her for the check in) said that she was friendly and patient in showing my sister around and where things were in the apartment. The apartment was beautifully adorned with wonderfully quirky East-meets-west décor -- the photos certainly don't do it justice. Location is on point; we were right opposite from the famous Rock Paper Scissors and 3 min walk from Grossi Florentino (nuff said). Highly recommended. My family and I are happy to revisit Katherine's apartment.

  • Fabulous stay in an interesting area, plenty of laneways to explore, cafes, bars and some very individual fashion shops. Close to tram stop and train station. Cara and Greg were away but we met Katherine who was delightful. She had asked about our interests and then had taken a lot of trouble to collect pamphlets of places and activities which she thought would interest us as well as local tips. We also really appreciated the array of fresh fruit. Apartment was nicely decorated with a few quirky touches, and I can honestly say that the sofa bed was super comfortable...easily the best I've ever slept on. Despite being in the heart of Melbourne the apt was quiet and had plenty of natural light.

  • Absolutely loved this apartment! Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, good wifi and no noise from outside or neighbours. The location was perfect - close to restaurants, shops, cafes and public transport. Communication with Katherine (who was helping Cara and Greg) was easy and we had no issues checking in/out. The Melbourne books and brochures on the coffee table were a nice touch! Would recommend this apartment highly!

If you like walking or running, Albert Park is 300 meters away, or you can walk or run along the foreshore to Port Melbourne in one direction, or the St Kilda promenade in the other. If you have kids, the Famous Luna Park is a short stroll, as is Acland Street with it's bustling street life and some of Melbourne's best cafes, restaurants and pastry shops. If you love animals, St Kilda has its own Penguin Colony which appears at dusk each night, alongside the St Kilda Pier.
  • We had a great stay in this St Kilda apartment. Paul and Marco were really welcoming and helpful, with lots of tips for getting around, sights to see as well as great places to eat and shop. The apartment is comfortable and contains everything you need. It is slightly smaller than it appears in the pictures but just fine for two people on a short break. It is in a great location, right near tram stops for several different trams to take you all over Melbourne. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Not the luxury accommodation we expected from the photos and description, basic accommodation with issues, access to loft upstairs may be a challenge to some and a litigation lawyer's dream, very comfortable bed, no windows/daylight worth mentioning, basic amenities in bathroom and kitchen. Good location for public transport (tram/light rail). The fact that the apartment was not cleaned was attended to promptly and hassle free. Not the best copmmunication as we had to call from the airport for directions and were told a 200 $ cash deposit was required for the parking permit and was to be picked up at another location (the cafe they run which is great by the way). Would not consider it again.

  • Fact: Ian was great to deal with, however his associate with the key was not. Fact: The apartment was in a very handy location with a stylish old facade, although recently renovated interior. Fact: The location to pick up the key isn't searchable on (Hidden by Airbnb) or Apple maps (as it is a walkway and not a street) Fact: The keys were kept in a security block that only authorised people have access to, which made us resort to lying to someone so we could get into the lobby to collect it. Fact: The contact who arranged pick-up and drop-off of the keys refused to answer the phone to speak with us, and didn't tell us how to return the key until we asked, after checking out. Fact: The bathroom sink was blocked and filthy. Fact: There was no top sheet provided and towels were fit for a dog. Fact: There is a lot of noise from the Hostel opposite the apartment, and it was difficult to close the large window to limit the noise. Fact: We regret not staying in a hotel where we would've paid the same amount with much better conditions.

  • Ian's apartment is in a great part of town on the edge of the CBD and an easy walk into the centre of town and Lygon Street. It is exactly as pictured and was very cozy and had a nice homely feel to it. We were met by his friend Simon who provided the keys and told us what we needed to know about the building and the car parking facilities. As per other reviews, there was a little bit of noise from the adjacent hotel but honestly nothing to be concerned about. Simon was there on time and very quick to respond to calls and emails prior to arrival. Unfortunately during our stay there were a couple of issues. Firstly as a consequence of Ian's recent change in cleaning policy there are some guests which have paid for cleaning and others that haven't and are expected to clean the apartment prior to leaving. On this occasion it appeared that the apartment hadn't been cleaned properly for a little while and needed a good dust, mop and a thorough bathroom scrub. This was disappointing as we expected to arrive at a freshly cleaned apartment. In addition (and out of Ian's control), a couple of days prior to our stay, the body corporate arranged some last minute construction work on the heritage window which meant we couldn't be in the apartment at certain times in the morning for two days during our stay. This was alright for the first day as we had planned to be out anyway, however not for the second day. However, in relation to both issues Ian was very apologetic and communicated with us often and promptly. In the end he offered to refund one nights stay and the cleaning contribution which enabled us to move to another location so he could attend to those issues prior to his next guests arriving. Despite these issues I would still recommend this apartment. Ian is constantly working to improve his guest's stay (ie: I believe he is getting a bed now), he has excellent communication with his guests and provides a genuine offering at a good price.

  • Really nice cosy apartment just on the edge of the CBD. Place was clean and tidy when we arrived. We we're let in by Simon (Ian's friend) as Ian was away. Even though he was away, Ian was still great with communication. Simon was really helpful showing us all the amenities. Access to the gym and pool was a real bonus. We knew we would be sleeping on a mattress on the floor upstairs and this didn't bother us, however a proper bed would definitely be an improvement. Would definitely recommend.

We had 3 people, with sofa lounge used for third person which was comfortsble. great for overnight stay with everything located nearby. Restaurants and shops a short walk.   • The place was good - not fancy or new, but it was comfortable, the right size and scale for me (or a couple), comfy bed, good view, the shower was hot and had good pressure, I liked that I didn't need to use the heating because it was well insulated. The amenities and basic toiletries and bits and bobs in the kitchen were handy. Check in was quick and efficient. Lifts were fast. The noise from the roadworks was pretty minimal (I stayed Fri-Mon and didn't have any probs). People in the building weren't noisy. It was a fine place for a very convenient weekend getaway. Vicki has thought of everything here, including kitchen utensils and appliances, books and DVDs and tea and coffee. The design of the place is really comfortable too and even gave us a few ideas for our own place. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a couples retreat.   • We had too short a time at Vicki's beautiful place at St. KIlda. It is indeed a little oasis, as other reviewers have rightly said. The place is beautifully appointed. It is very tasefully done, and everything has been considered to make your stay delightful. It is private yet so close to everything, which is an amazing achievement in St. Kilda. The chalet is set back from the street, and is accessed by a little path which soon reveals a small courtyard garden and the chalet itself. It is a very comfortable, clean and quiet place from which to explore and then retreat from the joys of St. KIlda and Melbourne.   • Vicki's cottage is superb accommodation! Not only does it have an ideal location in St. Kilda, but it is also one of the most comfortable places I have ever stayed. The kitchen is so nice and has everything one needs to cook breakfast or dinner. There is a washer as well for laundry and detergent is provided. The living room is lovely and there are speakers to plug in your iPod and large flat screen for TV and DVD watching. The bathroom is large and there is a lovely bathtub. My favourite feature was the spiral stairs the lead up to the loft bedroom. I stayed in winter but I could imagine in the warmer months, the porch would be a lovely place to sit. The grocery stores are just a few blocks away and so are all the shops of Acland St. as well as several tram lines. Overall superb!!!

  • WHAT A GEM !!!!! If ever I have a house in Melbourne , this would be it :) :Such high standard : cosy, warm, super clean, convenient and simply beautiful little cottage(Picture perfect) . Tram to city and small convenient store just round the corner . Very quiet and safe neighbourhood . Vicki is so accommodative to our requests which make our stay even more comfortable.   • If we say to much about this unit, it will not be vacant for us next time. From the initial booking to our departure, it was a guests delight to see that every need was covered. Khee met us at the skybus bay 51 as arranged , walked us to the unit explaining entry and exit requirements of the building. He had fresh milk, butter and jam for our stay. The unit was stocked with the essential kitchen, laundry, bathroom requirements. Free to air TV channels, great wifi and split air conditioning. 2 Myki cards are available but if you are going to use them you need to top up the card at one of the nominated retailers in the city. We did not use the cards as we had our own to use outside of the free zone. A sliding door allowed access to the balcony but unfortunately during our stay it was to cold and windy to sit outside. It also provided fresh air when we were making our morning toast. With the unit on the eastern side, it was great to have the morning sun warming the unit. The bed was comfy and unit great for either a couple or single. A great location to explore the city from.

He also provided us with information to make it easier to find our way around! The apartment was perfect, very clean, very welcoming with all the essentials and more provided. The apartment was in a great location in central Melbourne and along the free tram route. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place or better host. Mellisa's apartment was modern and beautifully furnished - the master bedroom had a great city view and we loved having our own bathroom which was very clean and spacious. The only negative thing I have to say is there could've been a more organised way when it came to parking our car. We were pretty much stranded outside the building when we came and had no where to leave the car to get the key. (I had to stand in a loading zone whilst my partner ran out and met Melissa's friend to get the key) Same when we wanted to leave, we got stuck inside the carpark and couldn't get out. A better system and communication would have been ideal as it really stressed us out, but other then that, we really loved our stay and would definitely come again :)

  • My boyfriend and I had a fantastic experience staying in Melissa's home in Southbank - a five minute walk to Flinders Street Station and situated on a lovely strip next to the Yarra river, Southgate and Crown Casino. We had the Master bedroom and ensuite to ourselves; the room was very clean and tidy and came with loads of amenities. We did not see Melissa nor her mum often but they were both very polite and helpful, and Melissa constantly made sure we were comfortable during our stay. I would definitely recommend her place to anyone needing somewhere to stay in Melbourne!

  • Really homely lovely place. I didn't need to use any earplugs, as I found it very quiet. Bed very comfortable. Bit warm in the flat at night as only a fan no aircon. I hadn't thought about mosquitos in Australia, so had to keep window shut to keep them out after a few bites. Didn't get round to buying any spray. Not a big deal, just pack some repellent if you think it would bother you. I would recommend this place for a business trip as was a nice home to come back to after a day at the office.

    My apartment is part of a very cool warehouse conversion in a 100 year old building; you will really feel as though you are experiencing the urban Melbourne lifestyle. Close to the MCG, less than five minutes from the city by train & surrounded by great shopping & cafes, you couldn't hope for a better location. Great transport on your doorstep but lovely & peaceful inside.
    Although a studio, the apartment is extremely spacious with a large living & dining area & everything you would need for a very comfortable stay. Part of a very cool warehouse conversion in a 100 year old building, you will really feel as though you are experiencing the urban Melbourne lifestyle. There is a secure car park with one space for my apartment. Sorry, the apartment is not suitable for children or babies.
    Richmond is one of Melbourne's most popular inner urban suburbs only 2.5km from the city. Everything is right at your doorstep in TennysonSt. You could just about eat at a different restaurant every night of the year without leaving 3121! For breakfast try Friends of Mine at 506 Swan St or Top paddock at 658 Church St. Maybe try Baby for lunch at 631 Church St and then dinner at Fonda at 248 Swan St. Catch the tram along Church St to get to Chapel St & on to St Kilda and shop till you drop in Swan St or Bridge Rd. It is a 15 minute walk to the MCG and 17 minutes to Rod Laver Richmond really does have it all and I am sure you will love it as much as we do

We laid beautiful timber lam flooring, installed designer stone bench tops, quality cooking appliances, double drawer dishwasher, wine glass cabinet, an amazing fire place, large flat-screen TV and a gorgeous Hilton pillow-top queen size bed with large under-bed drawers for you to use as storage. We've also installed a convenient closet/robe space at the end of the kitchen where you can hang your suits, shirts or dresses and jackets, tuck away your shoes, and sit your other personal belongings out of the way for use when required. We chose a beautiful white marble stone for the bench tops (there is a solid slide-out space-saving stone bench top you can pull out from above the fridge) and a mirrored splash back to reflect light and space into the studio. We have also ensured there are power points and USB points so you can charge your phones, tablets, laptops, etc - located on both sides of the bed.
    Flinders Street - Is home of our architecturally renowned Flinders Train Station and Federation Square. Both are visited and used by thousands of people every day, so expect the streets to be busy all the time. You are in the heart of our transport hub and cafe central, so you don't have to walk far to find what you need. Shopping - Well, where do I start! If you're after food to eat or cook we have Woolworths (supermarket) located right beside our building (turn left as you exit), and Coles (another supermarket) right around the corner in Elizabeth St (turn right as you exit, and then right into Elizabeth St). Then there are lots of cute little cafes dotted along Flinders Street, and around the corner in Elizabeth St, or walk up to Swanston St and you will be flooded with busy cafes and all the takeaway giants, like Mc Donalds, KFC, Hungry Jacks (Burger King) etc - you will never go hungry when staying at our place! :D Degraves Street - When exiting our building, turn left from our front door to enter this atmosphere laden lane featuring bars, shops, cafes, and restaurants. It is also home to many fantastic pieces of street art and graffiti, and is a popular place for tourists and locals to mingle during the day or at night.

The instructions for check in were very clear and easy to follow and she made it clear that I could always call if I needed anything or had any questions about the apartment. I never did need to call as everything was just fine!My stay was 10 days and Debbie even organised an apartment clean half way through at no extra cost. This included new linen and extra supplies - very generous i thought.

    Superbly located hotel style accommodation in a quiet courtyard with independent access.
    The Stables is a single bedroom unit, akin to a hotel room, which is separated from the main residence by the yard. Built in 1900, The Stables were lovingly and sympathetically renovated in 2010. They retain their original red brick floors and timber doors, but now feature a beautiful modern ensuite. Location is everything, and you would be hard pressed to get closer to the MCG. All of the attractions of the city are just a pleasant stroll through the beautiful parkland. This is an excellent location if you are going to concerts or sporting events at Rod Laver Arena or AAMI Stadium. Located centrally between Bridge Rd and Swan St, which are home to fantastic cafes, restaurants, and shopping. Trams, trains, and buses are all nearby. While fruit, biscuits and tea & coffee facilities (with a bar refrigerator) are provided, we are not a traditional 'b&b' with a kitchen or breakfast offering - but we can recommend that you head to the Rowena Parade Corner Store for all of your breakfast and lunch needs. The Stables are independently accessed via their own entrance and are located at the rear of our property, sharing a yard with the main house (where two dogs sometimes sit during the day). Parking is available on-street adjacent to The Stables and we provide a visitor's pass for your vehicle.
    Richmond is a great neighbourhood. A beautiful walk across Yarra Park, past the Melbourne Cricket Ground, to the City - or along the River. Shops, cafes, and restaurants abound on Swan Street, and Bridge Road.

  • This is a quite cute and cosy converted stables. One can see the effort made into the conversion, and every effort made to make the guests feel at home and well looked after. We especially appreciated the tea/ coffee and even a small bottle of milk in the fridge, which was well used on the day of our departure. Ione also ordered a taxi for the airport for us the next day, which was very kind of them. Little gestures mean a lot when you are in a foreign country and are not sure how things work. It was perfect for our overnight short-stay.

  • The Tree House is a fantastic space. It was spotlessly clean, wonderfully comfy bedding and well located for our visit to Melbourne. Communication was aways prompt and cheerful. I would suggest if you have a car to talk to Sue and Paul before you book as off street parking means a longish drive up a narrow back alley, which equates to a longish reverse down the same alley. There was a parking spot but our Hyundai Elantra would not fit without hitting the bottom of car. We dont consider this a negative as Sue and Paul did everything they could to help us with parking and it was much appreciated, but it is something guests with a car should consider.

Upon arriving Terry rushed back from her commitments to greet us and take us on a tour of the unique one-of-a-kind apartment. Parking was so easy and free. The apartment is so clean crown towers would have a tough time competing. Every time I would say "oh, I forgot this or that!", somehow Terry had it all covered from shaving cream to breakfast.     Such an amazing location, you will be blown away by everything that St Kilda has to offer and here you will be right in the thick of it, however inside the apartment you will feel the privacy and serenity of being in a treehouse.     When in St Kilda, there's no where else to stay but on trendy Acland St. Opposite the beautiful Circa, iL Fornaio and the infamous Prince of Wales, there's no better place to stay than this funky little studio. Full of light with a beautiful leafy tree outlook, you have a feeling of living in a tree house. This funky little studio consists of white walls and concrete grey floors with one wall dedicated to just windows. It's a quirky, stylish studio, with a Queen size bed, an ever so comfy three seater sofa and stunning designer Armadillo rug. It has a built in wardrobe with a built in bookcase where books and DVDs are stored for you to flick through and enjoy. The stylish kitchenette is fully equipped and includes double electric hot plates, microwave with beautiful dishes, glassware and all the kitchen utensils you will need. There is also a gateway dining table where you can sit and enjoy a meal or choose to use it as a desk. The separate bathroom has a glass shower and basin and is tiled all in white. Wifi with a 32" flat screen TV, DVD player and radio. It also includes an iron and ironing board. Beautiful luxurious linen and towels can be provided with luxury duvet & deluxe pillows. The apartment is on the first floor, with some stairs and intercom system. Secure gated parking space is also included. The area is also extremely well served for public transport in all directions, be it city, airport (airport bus drops you off right on the corner), Chapel St etc. Laundry - there's a laundry room on the same floor with coin operated laundry machines. There's also pegs for you to hand out your laundry at the brand new clothesline. Overall, this is a place to come home to and relax whilst enjoying the comfort and space of this little funky studio.   • My parents (74&63) stayed with Rachel, but booked via my account. They were very happy at Rachel‘s place! This is what they said: We really enjoyed our four week stay in this apartment. It provides everything you need for daily life. Bed is comfortable even for old suffering backs. Many nice cafes and restaurants in walking distance, a short ride to CBD Melbourne. Easy access to the apartment, we didn't see our host at all, wasn't necessary, but contact,-if needed-was very easy. We know, it's not a five minutes job, but the grouts in the shower need to be freshend up. Would like to come back one day.

  • I really enjoyed my stay here. The apartment is beautifully designed and very functional for such a small space. Gary was friendly and personable; he met me on arrival and showed me how everything worked, but otherwise I had the place to myself. I did think it a bit strange that in an apartment with a $60 cleaning fee for a one-night stay, I was repeatedly reminded that I was expected to empty the rubbish bins when leaving. Of course I didn't mind doing it, but it did seem a little incongruous with the rest of the stay, and unusual when compared to other places I've rented. Overall though, I enjoyed my stay in Fitzroy and would recommend this space to other travellers.

  • What a great spot! It was perfect for our stay with plenty of great Cafes just around the corner and a tram outside the gate. The apartment was light, sunny and immaculate. We also enjoyed having the courtyard space and what a joy to have a washing machine after a few weeks of travelling. We have travelled a lot, and we were impressed by the attention to detail which is so often missing. There were maps, umbrellas, coat hangers and laundry liquid just to name a few. Who really wants to pack these things? Well done Peter.

Ian responded quickly to questions prior to the stay and we had a contact number for during the stay. The apartment was as described in the listing and shown in the photos. It is well equipped, tv, wifi, air conditioning, etc. It has a great view from the (WEBSITE HIDDEN) floor and is well located for getting around the centre of Melbourne, including quick access to trams within the free tram zone.   • Jared's place is very nice and comfortable. View from the balcony is blocked by two high rise buildings but you can still see half of the Etihad Stadium and the Dockland's Ferris wheel so it ain't too bad. Outside the neighbourhood could get noisy on a Saturday morning though. The bed is very comfortable and warm. Bathroom has enough basic amenities for you to use without needing to bring your own. Kitchen comes equip with basic cooking needs and so are tea and coffee. The sofa bed and dining table are great additions. The apartment is also right opposite the Southern Cross station and Coles which makes groceries and travelling very easy. I would recommend Jared's apartment to anyone looking to stay within Melbourne CBD.

    The Belford on Belford Street is an amazing Federation style building with only 6 apartments. The apartment is within meters to at least 3 forms of transport into the CBD. Quality shower products, plenty of towels, all Kitchen essentials. Quality iron, ironing board etc... Very clean!! The apartment is not new.   • We had a great time staying in Georgia's apartment, it is 3 minute walk to Ackland street which has, bars, restaurants, cafes supermarkets, trams to the city and anything else you would need but at the same time it is very quite and safe. The apartment has everything you would need for short term or long term stay and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Melbourne.

  • Georgia's place was the perfect size for 2 people and had plenty of amenities. Fantastic location. We couldn't have picked it better. Our host even left behind little essentials and toiletries which made it such an easy place to stay. And there was a hairdryer thankfully! Getting access into the unit was a breeze and the street parking pass was extremely helpful. W ireless wasn't functioning during our stay but it wasn't a big issue for us.

  • Vince and Connie’s place in South Yarra was wonderful. It is just off Chapel St so there is lots to do nearby and close to transport options into the city centre. The apartment is well setup with everything you’d expect and little extra touches (chocolate biscuits ). Communication was really easy and instructions straightforward. Highly recommend.

  • I stayed at Connie's apartment prior to becoming her co host as a way of experiencing the property myself through the eyes of a guest. It's in a great location just off Chapel St, which has a variety of shopping, eating and nightlife options. Access to the city is quick, via the train station which took me about 10 minutes to walk too. The apartment itself was quiet, the bed comfortable and had a few extra amenities which you don't always see in listings - Netflix and a coffee pod machine.

  • This is one of the best Airbnbs Ive ever stayed at!! The apartment is brand new, stylish and modern. Its not too large of a building (and has two lifts) so getting in and out of the building was easy and convenient. The apartment was stylishly decorated, with little personal touches, such as a cool painted mural in the bedroom. It was well equipped with everything one could ever need and more, the mentos mints, and tim tams were a nice touch :-) The private balcony/courtyard is spacious and cosy and surprisingly private for being in the middle of South Yarra. We used the beautiful and spacious communal rooftop a couple of times during our stay, which has a great view of the city, for an evening wine (or two). The location is amazing! In a quiet street just off the heart of chapel street and right next to the Jam Factory. There are some awesome bars and restaurants at your doorstep and so many great shops along chapel street. We hired a car during our stay and were told there are two car parks on the same street, however free parking was so easy to find on the street in front of the apartment that we didnt bother with the car parks. Vince was a great host, easily contactable at any time, and was super helpful, even giving us local tips on where to eat and drink. All in all it was a fantastic stay! Would definitely stay again my next visit to Melbourne. Stay here, trust me you wont regret it. Thank you Vince!
