“Closest ski resort to the cabin. Take the back road to get here rather than Big bear Blvd to avoid traffic. From cabin, head south on Division.”

“Great place to visit. All animals are wildlife rescues that can no longer survive in the wild on their own. Inexpensive to get in, invaluable in teaching people about respecting and valuing wildlife and the environment.”

“For those who haven't been there this is a very special zoo. Their goal is not just to entertain people, but they rescue wild animals there and send 70-80% back to the wilderness. And those who can't make it in the wilderness on their own (whether they are injured or imprinted on humans) - those are on display. So it's a very good thing they are doing at this zoo, even if you are not so much interested to see the animals - just come and support them by buying your ticket. They have mini-lectures ever hour or so when they tell the story on one animal and those are super fascinating to listen to. Must do if you are in Big Bear. ”
