  • We had a lovely stay at Fergal's flat in Beaumaris. We were made to feel very welcome and Fergal went above and beyond to make us feel at home, even leaving a selection of toys for our daughter to play with, along with a bib and muslin cloth! Nothing was too much trouble, the flat was immaculate and a great central location to explore Beaumaris, would highly recommend and would definitely love to stay here again!

  • Fergal and Julian were excellent hosts. They provided us with a very nice self contained apartment with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. It was nice and central to everything in the town. They were great to talk to and gave helpful advice. The Welsh cakes were yum. Thanks for having us, and good luck to the Lions Julian, on their tour to New Zealand.

  • Really comfortable flat in the perfect location - right by shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and about 5 minutes from the sea. Incredibly comfortable bed, large proper tv and comfy sofas and chairs, cannot recommend the flat more highly. And was so well looked after by Fergal and family - the whole visit was made so much more pleasant by them all.

    Amanda2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We were made to feel very welcome by Fergal and her family. Flat was great with all you could ask for. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Beaumaris lovely meal out at The Midland tapas bar. Booking essential. Parking always tricky in the town although always managed to find a spot within easy walking distance.

  • We had a lovely stay at Fergal's place. She made us feel very welcome and the flat was clean, comfy had everything that we needed. Beaumaris itself is a lovely little town with nice local shops and restaurants. The flat is in a great location to just step out of the door and wander around the town. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

    Lucy2016-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for 4 nights, and found the flat very cosy and comfortable, particularly as it was a rainy week. Beaumaris is a perfect base from which to explore Anglesey and Snowdonia, and even though the flat is practically in the heart of downtown, it was nice and quiet overnight, and the bed is very comfortable. The whole flat was sparkling clean, and the kitchen is well-stocked, although you hardly need it with all the great restaurants in town. We also appreciated having the TV to veg in front of with a cup of tea! Fergal was very welcoming, and we would absolutely stay here again.

  • We had a great stay - thank you for making us feel so welcome in your lovely flat!

The little extra touches including tea and coffee, milk, Welsh cakes, and fruit, as well as lots of leaflets and information about the local area were great. Fergal and Julian went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We look forward to staying here again.

It's situated in a lovely quiet and tranquil area so you're guarantee'd some peace and quiet away from the usual noises of traffic etc Debbie is a very welcoming, informative and hospitable host with excellent cooking skills it must be said! We would definitely return to stay again.

  • Debbie and Bill were very accommodating and saw to our every needs, they had a lovely home and made us feel very welcomed. Debbie offered us a wide variety of options for breakfast which were delicious, and a great selection of fresh fruit was put out. When we were undecided on what to do in the local area they provided some great options and we thoroughly enjoyed out time there. We would happily stay again.

  • Beautiful house and lovely host! Perfect for a little break away and we will most certainly be going back again.

    Natalie2017-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Wern was truly great. Debbie was very welcoming and we felt at home straight away. We were welcomed in with tea, coffee and chocolate brownies which was needed after our walk up Snowdon. She took our breakfast order and gave us lots of suggestions for places to eat and directions to them. The bedroom and private bathroom were lovely. We were very comfortable. Breakfast was great. We went down to find fresh fruit, cereal, etc on the table before our cooked breakfast, which again, was great, and the eggs were from their own chickens in the garden. The location is secluded but very peaceful and is a short drive away to zip world, Snowdon, Bangor, Anglesey etc. Would recommend this place to anyone.

    Marie2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Debbie's was absolutely fantastic. She was courteous and attentive and looked after us perfectly. It was like staying at our own personal BnB. Her house is in the most beautiful location and our room was really nice and clean. The house is full of great little antiques and Debbie just left us to it. We'd definitely recommend this place.

"Wern" is situated on a beautiful hillside with a fabulous view and surrounds, including a busy bird feeder. We even saw a woodpecker. Our room was lovely with great views from our windows. The private bathroom had a great shower and fabulous deep bath. A delightful Breakfast was served in the light filled conservatory. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay with Debbie and highly recommend her home.

  • Wow---Anna's place is amazing!! The room is divine, the welcome warm, breakfast lush---everything was bendigedig (wonderful)!! Anna and I had lovely chats, and she even sent us away with some delicious homemade bread. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!!!

    Lori2015-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a great find - we had a lovely welcome from Anna to her house, and lots of useful advice on the area. The house is beautifully decorated with some of Anna's own creations on display, and to top it all the view from our room and the dining room were indeed fantastic. Breakfast was perfect too… would love to return one day.

    Alison2015-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Anna made us very welcome and was understanding about the delay in our arrival due to adverse traffic conditions on the way to Bangor. She also kept us informed about the annual Menai Bridge fair and gave detailed instructions as how best to approach the property. She also advised us to go to find a restaurant in Beaumaris rather than brave the crowds at the fair in Menai Bridge. The house is as described, with beautiful views across the Menai Straits and of the bridge. Colourful ornaments and wall hangings around the house attest to Anna's artistic background. Breakfast in the dining room overlooking the Straits was a wonderful and relaxing experience. We will definitely return when we next come to visit our daughter at Bangor University.

Very comfortable bed, great breakfast, interesting pieces all around the house and of course the lovely Anna who looked after us so well.

    Bob2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a fantastic place! An absolutely lovely room in a beautiful authentic house with a truly stunning view let us relax and forget the busy city immediately. Anna and her husband are amazing hosts, providing us with the most delicious breakfast, maps, suggestions & info about the area and really cared for our well-being. My best AirB&B experience ever! Many many thanks!

    Hella2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay with Anna in Menai Bridge. She was a wonderful, friendly host and we really enjoyed being in her beautiful house amongst all her lovely works of art. The breakfast on both days was outstanding and we could have sat at the breakfast table for hours happily looking out on to the Menai Straits. Our bedroom was lovely -- very tasteful, and cosy, with a really comfy bed, and with fantastic views of the Straits. We will definitely be staying again!

  • We had a great one night stay at Judith's beautiful house. The views really are stunning and I would have loved to have spent more time sitting in the lounge just enjoying them! Judith was really good at getting in touch and met us on the road to ensure we didn't miss where to park. The room was lovely and comfortable with more amazing views from the window. The bathroom was spotless. We asked for recommendations for our evening meal and headed into Beaumaris, which was nice for a walk along the coast looking back at the castle. We left quite early to get to Snowdon but Judith still got up and made us breakfast with a really good selection, which we were really grateful for. We would definitely return if in the area again.

  • Our first experience of Airbnb near Menai Bridge, Anglesey, was excellent. Judy and Billy were very welcoming and couldn't have gone to any more trouble to make our stay a wonderful experience. One of us is both gluten and dairy free and not only did Judy cater for this with the delicious breakfast, but she also identified local restaurants which had suitable options in advance. The accommodation is very modern and stylish and the view from the lounge (and bedrooms) is breathtaking and has to be seen to be believed. Eating breakfast looking out over the stunning views was a particular highlight. When we return to Anglesey we would definitely stay with Judy and Billy again in their beautiful home.

    Amy2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had lovely time here. We were welcomed by Judy and Bill. We were shown where everything was located. Judy and Bill gave us lots of ideas on what to see and do in the area. Breakfast in the morning was amazing with a widespread of breakfast food. Would definitely be going back to stay again

  • Very warm and friendly welcome from Judith who explained everything clearly including contact number for any issues. No problems at all; very clean, comfortable and spacious home. We felt very relaxed with space to do our own thing. Although we had planned our activities useful information was available including lots of leaflets about things to do and see in Angelsey and the surrounding areas. Various choices for breakfast including a full English - definitely recommended. This we enjoyed whilst looking at the outstanding views over the straits and Snowdonia. We will definitely be returning but for a longer stay. Thanks Judith for all your hospitality.

    Christine2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, Judy and Billy's home is beautiful and the views from the lounge are absolutely stunning. From the moment you arrive Judy greeted us with a warm welcome and her home certainly has the wow factor, which the photo's on line really do not do justice. Billy and Judy can't do enough for you and can offer lots of helpful advice on things to do and places to go to eat if you need it. As for the breakfast in the morning .... amazing and plentiful. We can't wait for our next trip to the island, we would definitely stay with Judy and Billy again. Thank you.

  • Thanks to Sarah, Owen and Alfie for a wonderful stay. The hosts were very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed for a great trip. The accommodation was very clean everything was brand new and to a high standard. Great location only around 5 minute car journey from Beaumaris, Owen was even nice enough to drop us off one evening so we could visit some bars. Thank you, we will hopefully be back soon. Jake, Chloe and Duke.

  • What a fantatic stay. We have thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and the accommodation topped it off. Both Sarah and Owen were grear hosts providing a breadth of local knowledge and recommendations of where to go. They did everything possible to make our stay as perfect as possible. We would definitely come back again!

  • Sarah and Owen's (and Alfie) place was excellent. The place is kept in such a good condition, that it feels as if you are the first to stay there. Owen and Sarah are very helpful, with Owen on hand during the day to help or give some tips for places to visit. Owen even offered to give us a lift into Beaumaris, which we didn't expect and shows how welcoming they are. Teabags, milk, hairdryer, iron and board, shower gel, shampoo, soap were provided, and Owen and Sarah also left a bottle of wine to settle us in. There is plenty of room for parking. The location is excellent, offering a panoramic view of Anglesey and the Menai Straits. There are some lovely walks within 1-2 miles of the apartment, to pebble beaches and country walks. Llangoed village is easily accessible, either walking or driving, and Beaumaris is a short drive away. There is also a bus stop right near the apartment, which has services running into Beaumaris. Would definitely love to come back. It was a relaxing holiday, and the apartment is very high standard. Thanks again for our stay. Jason and Emma

  • We stayed for 4 nights from 14th - 18th August 2017. What a wonderful place. The flat is brand new and beautifully presented. The location is superb, about 10 minutes down the road from Beaumaris and a short drive from some lovely beaches and small towns. You can walk to one pebble beach in about 15 minutes. It is hidden away and unspoilt. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Anglesey. An absolute Gem.

  • Sarah, Owen and Alfie were the perfect hosts and so helpful showing us some lovely walks and suggestions for our days out. The accommodation was spotless and everything brand new. A great base for a couple. There are lovely views and it was easy to drive into Beaumaris for an evening meal.

  • This is one of the better values on all of Airbnb. The check in is rapid, to the point, and let's you get on with your trip. The Apartment is spacious, and in walking distance of both the down town area and the quieter local pub scene.

  • Great place to stay. Everything we needed was here, there were toiletries, toilet paper and plenty of towels. Larissa met us at the flat and showed us around and talked us through how to use everything. There’s a washing machine and a dryer, very useful. There’s a great TV with lots of channels including Sky. Great wifi. The location is brilliant, there’s plenty of parking but we were able to walk everywhere. We were here settling our daughter into University Halls so we had to go back and forth to the shops for different bits, getting her phone sorted out, bank account etc. This location was perfect for all that.

Adults only. Plas-Tirion is a small organically managed smallholding. We have a 5 metre bell tent with double bed and separate "summerhouse" kitchen with cooking facilities (see pictures) available in a peaceful spot overlooking Red Wharf Bay on the Isle of Anglesey. Situated just below Pentraeth Forest (Red squirrel woodland), and a short walk to the Anglesey Coastal Footpath and the large sandy beach.
This is an "off-grid" site. There is two cool boxes in the kitchen, ice packs are changed regularly, normally twice a day. Water available from a standpipe. Compost toilet on site. Shower room with gas powered shower. Camp fire allowed. Car parking is approximately 50 metres from the camping field (No cars allowed on field). Wheelbarrow available to get your gear to the tent Nearest shop, garage, pub and Chinese takeaway 2 miles away. We are sorry that due to the nature of the site we cannot accommodate children or pets. The property is reached via a stone track which could be difficult for low profile cars. Transport can be arranged from the nearest train station (Bangor) or bus stop (Pentraeth village). A few reviews from our guests: 5* We had a wonderful couple of days at Plas-Tirion. Amanda made us feel very welcome, she is a fantastic host. The tent is spacious and very well equipped. The view is stunning and the place is very peaceful. We will be back! 5* Loved our 2day break here even the rain didn't stop us lovely tipi had everything we needed the compost loo had the best view we have ever seen and Amanda and husband were great very helpful and friendly 10/10 5* We have just got back from a fantastic break at Plas Tirion Retreat........Amanda was a great host. We enjoyed great facilities, super views and some lovely walks along the Anglesey Coastal Path......we did manage a couple of stops at The Bull in Pentraeth and The Ship in Red Wharf Bay......we'll definitely be going back again......
  • What an amazing place!! Quite, remote, peaceful and amazing views to top it off (even from the toilet!!!!). The perfect place for a chilled getaway, which we wish we had booked to stay longer and will certainly be back. Everything you may need had been thought of by Amanda, who was a friendly and accomodating host who has a wealth of knowledge about the area. The beach is literally down the hill and shops also a short distance away. We had never stayed in a teepee or used a compost toilet before, neither of which were any issue and a luxury in some respects. A shower with instant hot water is pure luxury in such a secluded area and better than in most hotels. This little gem in the beautiful scenary of red wharf bay is an experience not to be missed!!

    Simon2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy bell tent in a stunning and secluded location. We had a lovely two nights stay and would definitely be keen on returning for an even longer stay. Waking up in the morning to see the view of the beach from the tent was a spectacular experience. Perfect for a romantic getaway. We had such a relaxing time exploring the nearby walks, lounging on the decking and cooking on the fire. Amanda was also lovely and very helpful. I think if I were to stay longer I'd try and make sure I had a good portable charger with me as there were no sockets to charge my phone or speakers. The 4G signal there, however, was excellent. Highly recommended!

    Khinezar2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful spot - everything was perfect lovely hosts who made me feel so welcome - I could not recommend it enough. It is perfect in a great area.

    Andrew2017-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • The location was fantastic, with lovely views over the bay. We had a great couple of nights that were peaceful, quiet & private. The accommodation was clean, tidy and had well-thought out extras, e.g. Blankets, torches and extra bedding to keep warm. Amanda was a really welcoming host and we would definitely stay again.

    Steven2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda's place was even better than the pics. The scenary is gorgeous, the Tipi has everything and more for a real glamping experience! The bed and shower was much better than my own and the kitchen had everything you needed to make any meal! We even used some of the herbs beside the Tipi for our meal and made a lovely campfire at night from the logs provided. The bay beside is beautiful and there are lots of things to see and do in the local area. Amanda made us feel very welcome and should be proud of her retreat! I've just recommended to a friend and she's booked already!! We hope to be back soon!

    Denise2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the views and the yurt! Easy and beautiful walk round the bay to the ship and then boathouse for lovely food.

    Ophelia2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We've just returned from a two night stay at Amanda's Bell tent. What an absolute find! Every single need or whim is catered for...you literally only need to bring yourself and clothes! The shower has instant hot water and is a welcomed treat after a day out. There's lovely walks all around, two great little pubs close by and Amanda is so so helpful and knowledgable about the area. The site is so peaceful with great views over Red Wharf Bay. Can't believe I've never stayed in a bell tent before, no hassle of putting a tent up etc. I will definitely be returning...great value, can't recommend it high enough!!

    Polly2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • If you want a place to get away from it all, then this is it. Amanda is a lovely non intrusive hostess. It's a well equipped rustic campsite to make memories.

  • Graham has been a wonderful host. Everything was arranged into the smallest detail: the room, the breakfast et cetera. He really made us feel at home, gave us lots of advice about what to do during our stay and we had nice talks. Thank you very much, Graham and Sarah, for the very pleasant stay and an even bigger thank you for the nice gesture for our anniversary. We hope to come back to discover Wales some more in the future and would absolutely consider to stay with you again!

    Hannelore2015-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Graham and Sarah was a delight. The room was so well appointed and comfortable. Graham looked after us so well and could not do enough for us at breakfast or helping us with decisions about what to see and do. Leo the dog must get a mention for his excitement to see us each morning. A great place to stay.

    Patricia2015-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable night in a very pretty house with good-fun interesting people in a gorgeous part of the world ... all round excellent. Great tips about the local area too - like Conwy! Many thanks for suggesting this Graham, it was a brilliant idea even if it did mean we didn't get to most of the other places on the list. We'll probably just have to come back for the rest - looking forward to seeing you then. (Hope I'm not doubling up? Thought I'd already posted this? Not to worry - worth repeating.)

    Cat2014-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • We ended up having to cancel our reservation with Graham unexpectedly and close to our planned arrival date. Graham responded with understanding and kindness--neither of which were surprising, both for which we are enormously grateful. He welcomed us for a future stay, an offer we will certainly take him up on. While we were planning our trip, Graham looked at my profile and noticed I enjoy listening to live music. He then invited us to a concert with him and his wife, Sarah! Even though we never got to go, I have no doubt we will book with Graham in the future, I can tell he is a one-of-a-kind host.

    Vivian2015-11-20T00:00:00Z

The studio is very comfortable and light, it's a self-contained space with a mezzanine bedroom in a lovely private garden with its own entrance. It contains a comfy sitting area with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area and above is a bright and spacious mezzanine bedroom (which has massive windows above, wonderful for just lying in bed staring up at the sky watching the birds go by). There is a separate ensuite wetroom with vanity area. Space for bikes.
The studio is a fabulous place to stay in Beaumaris or as a base to travel from. It feels safe and tends to wrap itself around you and if you need to getaway to recoup, it certainly will help with that! It's part of a larger unique building that is my working space (I'm a writer and painter) and It contains all the facilities that you would expect in a self contained house. If there is anything that you require I am not far away to help. I have lived in the area for 20 years, and as a child it was our holiday destination, so I can help you with days out and things to do, everything from Salsa dancing to yoga to wonderful walks. Bedding and towels are included There are stairs going up to the mezzanine bedroom that wont suit the elderly or disabled. I have included a photo for you to see.
Beaumaris is a world heritage town. The studio is in a quiet neighbourhood in a conservation area. 5 minutes from the beach, restaurants, castle, pier and pubs and quirky individual shops, all very easy to get to. The bus stop is 5 minutes away. The nearby spar (5mins walk) is well stocked for everyday food and there is a bakery for really good fresh bread and cakes (guests always comment on it!) 2 charity shops and a great Indian takeaway/ restaurant. All the usual high street supermarkets and shops are 15 minutes drive away in Bangor. There is a Waitrose 3 miles away in Menai Bridge. The local beach is sandy with lots of boat trips to Puffin island and other places along the Menai straits. There is a childrens park and paddling pool on the seafront, and a terrace at the Bulkeley Hotel. The amazing Snowdon mountain range can be seen from the beach and cafes, and there are plenty of easy walks from town.
  • Excellent place with lovely garden close to centre of Beaumaris but yet tucked away.

    Lynfa 2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great setting - beautiful place to wake up in the morning. Very convenient to the centre of Beaumaris. Would definitely stay again and use as a base to explore the rest of Anglesey.

  • Georgina was nothing but gracious. Her place was perfect for what we needed - a comfortable spot in a beautiful town. Almost everything is walkable from here. I wish we could have stayed longer! You truly feel like you are a part of the town.

  • A really nice place in a good location.

    Jayne2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a couple's retreat in Beaumaris. Really good location and everything you need. Georgina made sure we has everything we needed.

    Luke2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Georgina's studio is a delightful place to stay tucked away in the centre of Beaumaris. When we booked Georgina was quick to tell us that the access to the mezanine sleeping area is via a ladder staircase and that the ceiling up there was quite low. This just added to the charm of the place. Georgina was there ready to welcome us when we arrived and keen to ensure that we had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped including a fridge freezer, tea, coffee, orange juice, milk and bagels for breakfast. I can't think of anything that we lacked - the shower worked well with plenty of hot water and Georgina had supplied towels, shampoo and shower gel. The experience of lying in the comfortable bed gazing up at the stars through the large velux windows is not to be missed! Beaumaris itself is a fascinating town. Fabulous views across the Menai Straits, an enchanting castle and a plethora of independent shops to investigate.

    Mary2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Georgina's apartment is ideally located to explore Beaumaris, in a secluded area which is very cosy. The apartment is very clean and well equipped. The mezzanine offers a great view of Beaumaris church in the day and the stars at night. I'd really recommend a stay!

    Robert2017-08-16T00:00:00Z

The Sailors Return, is a character property steeped in history, which has been lovingly renovated to provide a charming welcoming cottage, ideally located for the beach and the cosy bars and cafes and restaurant that make Beaumaris such an appealing destination. This 4 bedroom family friendly cottage welcomes well behaved dogs.
The property was until recently half of a local hostelry called "The Sailors Return". Built in 1810, it has been lovingly restored to create a quirky, cosy holiday cottage stacked with period features and charm. The low ceilings and exposed beams through out the property give it a snug homely feeling, whilst the sash windows add to the charm. Benefiting from gas central heating and a wood burning stove this really is a property to enjoy all year round.
Beaumaris is a quaint village on the shores on the Menai Staits. It boasts an impressive array of restaurants, bars, cafes and boutique shops. Children will love to go crab fishing from the pier and to explore the medieval castle and gaol at the heart of the village. Beaumaris is an ideal location from which to explore the beautiful island of Anglesey or venture slightly further a field to enjoy the natural beauty of Snowdonia and all the great outdoors has to offer.

The apartment is very close to Bangor city centre and the University. Five minutes walk from the railway station & bus station & three minutes from the university. There is parking for one car. The apartment is good for couples and solo adventurers. This is a great location for exploring Snowdonia and the coast, Bethesda Zip Wire; Bangor Pier; Anglesey, Caernarfon Castle & beaches are a short drive away, and public transport close by.
This is a quirky self contained, first floor apartment in a two hundred year old building. Many original features remain - wooden floors, hand made brick walls, exposed timbers. The old plaster, lime mortar lives and breaths so you'll experience a sense of history and possibly some dust! We have a private car park. Access to the apartment is through Kyffin Cafe garden, at the rear of the building, to an external staircase which leads to the apartment. It is very private and very secure. The apartment is part of my building at 127/129 High Street, which also houses Kyffin cafe and my Clothes shop. During working hours 9.30 - 5.30 you may here movement in the cafe and maybe some French Cafe music wafting up from the cafe below.
The apartment is in the Kyffin Square area of the city. This are is named after Richard Kyffin, Dean of the Cathedral in 1480. There are many bars and restaurants one minute from the door. It is a three minute walk to University and Pontio art center.

  • A lovely little apartment above a cafe in a central location. The street was relatively quiet so no real issue with noises. Modern appliances, private parking, Wi-Fi... everything we needed as a base to explore the area and relax on an evening.

  • The flat is in a great location - very central with good parking. It was rather noisy late at night / early in the morning with revellers so take ear plugs and it won't be a problem! Thanks Jo, lots of lovely touches, fresh milk & what smelt like lovely fresh coffee that I did not have time to drink!

  • Straight off the bat the communication was great. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed with scones and tea, then shown to our room with the epic view. The room was everything that was promised and lots of tea, coffee and bottled water was made available to us. We were offered a cooked breakfast for the following morning and what was provided did not disappoint. It was huge. Bacon, sausages, eggs, hash brown, toast, mushrooms, tomato, croissants, freshly baked bread, muesli, fruit, and I'm sure there are some things I have missed. I doubt you could get a better breakfast on the island. As for the hosts themselves, they are some of the nicest people you are likely to meet. They gave us lots of good advice of things to do in the area and were just generally lovely. I would highly recommend staying here.

  • This is a gem of an air b&b. Perfect hosts, exceptionally hospitable! We were treated to a great breakfast which included bread, jams, yoghurt and an amazing fruit compte (all homemade), not to mention eggs, bacon etc all beautifully cooked & presented. We really appreciated Paul taking us to Chateau Rhianfa by car - we were attending a wedding there, very close by so a perfect place to stay. It's worth emphasising that our ensuite room was seperate to the main house so we had our own entrance and total privacy. The room was comfortable & we enjoyed a good night's sleep. The views of the mountains and sea from the bedroom snd dining room are lovely. We wish Nina and Paul much luck in their new venture. Don't hesitate if you are looking to book comfortable accommodation close to Bangor. It would be a great option for parents visiting a student at the university!

  • Had a good stay at Robertas. Amazing view over Menai Bridge and a lovely view out the bedroom window across the water in the morning. Room was light and bright and the bed was comfortable. More than one pillow per person would've been great, but we arrived much later than anticipated and didn't want to cause trouble. Breakfast was the highlight with many homemade items on the table for us. Roberta was also very helpful in helping us find a good parking spot for our walk the following day.

  • Had a fabulous two nights in this working farm. The yurt was clean and tidy and it had all the basics. The beds were comfortable. The children loved the open camp fire, collecting fresh eggs (which were delicious) and the kittens which played in the long grass around us. The showers and washing facilities worked well. It is a great location to base yourself from for seeing this part of Wales.

  • Andrea and her husband were amazing hosts. They were very easy to keep in contact with for any extra questions we had. They welcomed us and showed us around the farm and suggested extra hiking/biking trails that were absolutely amazing and exactly what we were looking for. The tents themselves were immaculate spacious, clean, so many extras (I.e. Wine, cooking utincils, chairs, candles, fresh bath towels, local area info and cooking book for the dutch oven) the bathrooms as well were not far away from the tent and again immaculate, they were cleaner than some actual hotels I have stayed in. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone who asked and will probably book with them again in the future. Thank you Andrea for such an amazing experience, we absolutely loved your farm

    Amber2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • The tents are very well equipped, we found there everything we need for the four days. The place is amazing! The bathroom and fridges trailer are excellent, you have there the possibility to charge your electronic devices. What we didn't like is the kitchen trailer, compared with the rest of the trailers is not in very good conditions. 10 minutes walking there is a line bus that can take you in 20 minutes to Bangor.

    Paula2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay on Andreas farm! Took my boyfriend for a secret weekend away here and he loved it. We stayed in the Derw tent and it was just as pictured! Showers/toilet facilities were great and clean only thing to note is that it is on a working farm so when it rains there is mud (to be expected)But it's not muddy near the tents so no worries about that! Just make sure you bring wellies :). Next time we stay we will definitely use the BBQ hut. Sad to be home but it was a great part of our trip of exploring wales!

The grounds are so scenic and peaceful and the cottage is quaint and cosy, equipped with everything you need. Plus there is the hot tub, which you an make the most of even in atrocious weather. There was freshly made bread and eggs for us on arrival and Lliwen was very sweet and helpful. Highly recommend this place!! Thank you very much for making us feel so welcome. We had a lovely stay with you x

  • Please be assured that Deborah's cottage is a great place to stay at and book without any hesitation! It's locations forms a good base for exploring the north west coast of Wales, including towns, beaches and mountains. I would book again without hesitation.

  • We absolutely loved Deborah's Arts & Crafts cottage. It was even better than in the photos - a very special place. We often sat in the field behind the cottage, swathed in blankets, and watched the sun set, in the company of sheep and gnarly trees. With a bit of communciation with the locals, one can find the ancient and beautiful paths leading up the mountain behind the cottage. The cottage itself is magical, with its protective hedges & slate fence & gardening all around, set close to the main house, but also having its own privacy. Deborah discreetly made sure we were happy, and the daily breakfast supplied was wonderful (croissants, cereal, fresh fruit). Deborah's daughters too were delightful and our son enjoyed the hanging out with the youngest member of the family. The kitchen is well-appointed, and all rooms and beds are comfy. We enjoyed the funny old board games found in a box. The only thing missing is a shower head, which would make bathing easier especially for older people who can't move as easily - but the tub was great. Would love to come back. Truly a magical & special place.

  • We had a fantastic 5 days in this beautiful cottage. The location is ideal and the view was breathtaking. The cottage as extremely clean and well kitted out. We enjoyed having breakfast every morning- delivered the evening before by the lovely Evie or Rosie. We had our dogs with us and they felt very at home- loved the sea and many lovely dog walks. Debbie was a wonderful host, very welcoming and helpful. We had such a relaxing stay and feel very rested. Thank you very much. Kate and Rob

  • If you are looking for a quiet cosy place to stay in North Wales - this is an ideal spot. The cottage is situated on a hill with a lovely sea view. The cottage is really cosy with numerous electric heaters for those cold winter mornings. Kitchen is well equipped and the cereals, milk, tea, coffee, eggs and croissant that were provided are a really welcome treat. The location is perfect for day trips to Llandudno, Conwy or Carnarvon and Portmerion. The promenade in Lanfairfetchan is ideal for quite strolls. If you don't want to cook - there are Indian and Chinese take always and a fish and chip shop in the village close to the co-op which has everything you need if you self cater.

  • Deb's cottage is in a beautiful location in North Wales, in the middle of a park that overlooks the sea. The cottage is very comfortable with two bedrooms (one double, one single), good sized living, dining rooms and a bathroom. There's a lovely private area to eat outside too. Deb provides breakfast supplies for your stay and the kitchen is very well equipped for cooking. We really enjoyed our stay and hope we can come back soon!

Double bedroom and shared bathroom in a lovely detached house in a cul de sac so guaranteed good nights sleep.10 minute walk from train station .15 minute walk to town centre.Shops, restaurant, takeaways supermarkets all within walking distance. Not far from snowdonia if visiting for a walking trip there is s bus that takes you to Llanberis. It is a great base for visiting the areas key attractions.
It is a detached house on a cul De sac on the outskirts of Bangor. It is 2 mins off the A55 and easy to find. It is easily reachable by train/car/taxi. There is space on the street for parking for free all day. A taxi from train station to house should not cost more than £5 from city centre around £3 from train station. There are supermarkets 5 min walk away such as home bargains,B&M's,farm foods or 5 min drive to a large Tesco.
Lovely quiet neighbourhood near lots of amenities
  • Claire and her partner went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. They were both friendly, welcoming and informative. The accommodation itself was comfortable, modern and in a super location; easy to find, close to amenities and reportedly with super views (dark upon our arrival and departure!) Comfy bed too. My wife and I are vegan and Claire was knowledgeable on what foods and drinks we would/wouldn't consume, which made a big difference. Would recommend to others and would visit again. Thanks!

  • Highly recommended. You couldn't ask for more nicer hosts thats Claire and Alan. We really enjoyed our stay in their lovely home. The room is very clean and the bed is extremely comfortable. It is not too far from the city centre and just a 12 minute walk from the railway station. We would recommed without hesitation.

  • It is really easy to find and good access to the A55 without having to cross the city.

  • Claire is a very kind and generous host, we spent a lot of time talking about Wales, traditions, music and different things to do around Bangor while we were there. Our stay at her house was very comfortable, we felt at home right away. Thank you for everything Claire.

My place is within easy access of Snowdon, Zip world, A55, Anglesey. You’ll love my place because its a traditional grade 2 listed welsh cottage recently fully refurbished and set in a small hamlet within the countryside. My place is good for couples, walkers, solo adventurers, business travellers and small families.
It is cosy and comfortable and fully equipped. As it is a listed building it contains many of its original features such as an 1889 range fireplace, beamed ceiling, original windows, cobblestone front, small door to kitchen originally the main back door(mind your head)etc.
Glasinfryn is a small rural hamlet with great access to the main A55 expressway. It offers travellers some lovely country walks but remains a great base to explore the beautiful North Wales. We are based a short drive from all the main attractions, less than 10 minutes to the city centre, Snowdon mountain range, Zip world and The Isle of Anglesey. We are within half an hours to drive to at least four of our welsh castles, the closest being 5 mins away.
  • Great host who's always available to help. Cottage was very cosy and equipped with everything you could think of.

  • This is a remarkable find and the photos don't do it justice. If you love rustic charm then you can't beat this place. Our visit was a highlight for us. The home is impeccable clean and Tracey has thought of everything. It is just perfect and located in a charming hamlet. What more can we say. Stay here!

  • Tracey was there to meet me and I went in a lot earlier than the check in time. She offered to have the fire lit for me but I declined as I was going out. She put up lovely Christmas decorations and it was all so welcoming. Tracey and her husband helped me unload the car.

The Old School, Penmon Village is close to the seaside town of Beaumaris with spectacular views across the Menai Straits. You’ll love cosy, high quality accommodation in The Schoolmaster's House. The four poster bed is perfect for couples looking for a romantic retreat. There is also a pretty twin bedded room. It's quiet and peaceful - a wonderful escape for walking, beaches and relaxing by the fire for couples or friends. The Schoolmaster's House has a private, sheltered, courtyard garden.
Private house with parking. Parlour, dining room and kitchen. TV, X-box and DVD player, WiFi. Beautiful four poster bed plus twin-bedded room. Waterfall shower, toilet and washbasin on ground floor; upstairs bathroom with bath, toilet and washbasin. Log burner fire, conservatory and lovely gardens all set in glorious countryside with views of the sea and mountains. Excellent central heating system with plentiful hot water supplied by hi-tech green energy system. Only 5 minutes walk from the beach.
Penmon Village is in the countryside. The views across the sea to the mountains are amazing and always changing. The School was built in 1851 for 100 children, at a time when men worked in the nearby quarry, long since closed. The School is built from this Penmon stone and has a slate roof. The children learned to write with chalk on a slate. We don't have a shop in our village so pick up your provisions en route - Waitrose is in Menai Bridge town. Beaumaris is 5 minutes drive away with a range of places to eat, a pier and castle. There are some great walks straight from the house and the views of the sea and mountains are amazing.
  • Kay was a wonderful host! House was really beautiful with a small private garden and all bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and the kitchen was also very well equiped. She even baked a loaf of bread for our first morning!! And this house has a fantastic setting over looking Anglesey sea. Thank you so much Kay! We made lots of great memories during our stay in your place!

  • Schoolmaster's House is a lovely place to stay. Well appointed, clean and in an ideal situation for exploring the surrounding area

  • We have just returned from a wonderful stay at the Schoolmaster's House feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Kay has thought of every possible detail to make a stay enjoyable, from the freshly made bread, eggs jam and tea, to provisions for making the most of the Anglesey seaside and countryside. We utilised picnic sets, blankets and beach chairs. Even basic toiletries were provided in case of forgotten toothpaste / shampoo etc. Immaculately clean and infinitely comfortable, we hope to return very soon. Thank you Kay for your cheerful, attentive but unobtrusive hospitality!

    Laura2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kay is a very welcoming host, and make no mistake this is definitely a five-star place: if I could give it six I would. Everything about the spacious, clean, comfortable and homely Schoolmaster's House is wonderful, including its lovely sunny secluded garden. I have stayed in very many places over the years, and this ranks top in the UK. Kay has thought of everything, from leaving welcoming provisions to filling the house with beautiful roses. I highly recommend it and I can't wait to return.

    Nicholas2016-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about our stay at the Schoolmaster's House was fantastically charming and incredibly peaceful. From a basket of eggs and freshly baked bread upon arrival, to the cozy and traditional decor throughout the house, it was truly a pleasure to stay at the Old School. Kay met us when we arrived at her home in Penmon and gave us a quick tour of the Schoolmaster's House, along with an excellent recommendation to explore some of the ruins towards the lighthouse on the peninsula, only a short walk from her house. The village of Penmon itself is utterly quaint, with panoramic views of the sea and beautiful, historic buildings peppered throughout the peaceful neighborhood. It is clear that Kay, an avid gardener, pays great attention to detail and ensures that her guests have the very best stay possible. She has created a garden in the back of the Schoolmaster's House that is totally private and stunning with tastefully planted flowers, lighting, and a water feature. Inside there is a wood stove where guests can relax and unwind from their day in front of a cozy fire. There are so many other details that make the Schoolmaster's House a terrific place to stay. In short, there is nothing more we could have possibly asked for during our time in Penmon and we thank Kay for making it a truly memorable experience.

  • Myself, partner and 2 biggish kids had the most wonderful holiday in thee old school master's house at Penmon. This is such a great location as you're quite well placed to wizz around all over Anglesey or even back to the main land. Kay was the perfect host, really helpful and yet gave us total privacy. The house is extremely well equipped and very tastefully decorated with lots of little extras to make it feel welcoming. Warm fresh bread, tea, buttered scones and jam on arrival, Kay really knows how to make people feel welcome. Thanks Kay x

    Gabby2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Schoolmaster's House was perfect and such careful thought had been given to provide us with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay - from fresh bread, to fresh flowers! We had a great time in Anglesey - thanks to Kay for making us feel so welcome and for sharing her beautiful home with us! x
