“ Located in Cherry Valley, Highland Springs Ranch & Inn has been a Southern California destination for over one hundred years. The Grand Oak sits on 2400 scenic acres at Highland Springs Ranch & Inn, Riverside County’s first historical landmark. Surrounded by 20 acres of organic lavender, evenings in the summertime offer magnificent sunsets over fields of purple lavender. The property was originally established in 1884, and had served for a time as a stage coach stop along the Bradshaw Trail. Through the 1930s and 1940s it was a popular vacation spot, particularly for Hollywood actors and actresses.”

“Each summer, 123 Farm at Highland Springs Ranch & Inn celebrates the beginning of lavender harvest season by hosting the annual Lavender Festival. Visitors of all ages are invited to stroll through the winding paths of organic lavender fields, participate in guided tours in horse-drawn hay wagons, learn how lavender essential oil is extracted, taste lavender-inspired dishes and enjoy live music. The organic herbs grown at 123 Farm are featured prominently throughout the family-friendly festival through various refreshing lavender-inspired favorites such as lavender lemonade and lavender ice cream. The organic marketplace showcases specialty items many of them made with lavender.”

“Authentic Mexican Restaurant. They have a live El Miraichi band that plays while you dine on Thursdays. The ambiance, the food and the waitresses will make you feel transported to some province somewhere in Mexico. A fun and lively atmosphere. Our Favorites: All of the tacos (can't really choose a favorite), Carne Asada Burrito (everything on it), Shredded Beef Enchiladas (Plate) and their Special Drinks (a must have). ”

“Old liveoak trees, mowed grass, pick nick tables, playgrounds, paved parking and gravel equestrian parking, restrooms. Across the street and just down Wildwood Canyon Road a hundred feet or so from the entrance to Wildwood Canyon State Park. I think there are a couple drinking fountains. No fees or permits required.”
