“ It is free to access and open all days throughout the year. The emerald green forest filled with gnarly Beech trees, lush undergrowth, and small streams is the reason why this is a popular spot among nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. From June through September, lift access to the Emerald Outback is available Friday through Sunday (for a fee) via the chairlift at Beech Mountain Resort. The resort’s lift includes trays to carry mountain bikes to the summit, with riders following closely behind in a traditional lift chair. Hikers can ride the lift as well.”
