Scandinavian Restaurant
“Pub and reastaurant - typical Norwegian food and drinks. The popcorn with butter is great as a bar snack if you’re only having drinks! One of the few places where you can get food until 12:30pm on the weekends, besides from burgers and kebabs. ”

Gastropub
“If you want to get out of the center, this place and the neighbouring branch Bien Snack bar is very charming. Check out the menu before you set off, though. It is a bit of a walk back if you change your mind. Luckily it sits right by a light rail stop, though. They just opened a pizza place in the city center too that is worth a visit! ”

Scandinavian Restaurant
“Probably the most scenic restaurant in Bergen! You can either walk up or take the cable cart. Please note that this is seasonal (May-October) and subject to weather. You can always walk, but please respect the weather forecast, especially when it’s windy or snowing! There is a zipline on top and also a famous starting point for paragliders (you can book tandem flights online) and «Vidden», a popular hike from Ulriken to Fløyen (takes about 5-8 hours. Only for «mountain goats»!). ”

Bakery
“Takes 15 minutes to walk from the center of Bergen. Walk up to the "St. JohnsChurch", through the University campus, over the hill to the" Nygårdsparken" and to the area 'round the bay. It's called "The crane (construction, not the bird) because it kind a looks like on. Great coffe, great giftshopping of chocholates, bread, coffee etc. It will also give you a sense of the scenery from the Heart of Bergen to the suburbial area of "Danmarksplass". I love the smoked Salmon salad. Brace yourselves for the prices, though... Pretty steep even for norwegian standards...”
