“Beautiful views of Bergen from one of the seven mountains surrounding the city. Accessible by Fløien funicular and also by a 3 km hike from the city center. Be aware of long queues on the funicular during the day due to tourists from cruise ships. ”

“Stoltzekleiven in Bergen city center is a steep paved trail and stairs with approximately 722 steps up to Sandviksfjellet. Stoltzekleiven is one of the most popular trails in Bergen. Enjoy this hard but short popular hike from Fjellveien up Stoltzekleiven. The tour is divided into two parts with a challenging and an easy leg. The first part of the walk is mostly steep stone stairs. The more you climb, the better the view you get. The trip is suitable for both children and adults, but the hike is not recommended in winter when it can be slippery.”

“Nordnesparken is a nice park where you can sit either on the sun or be protected by the trees. It is a great spot for a sunny day, and it is possible to swim here to. The walk to Nordnes is also really nice. When walking to it, try and walk the small and narrow streets where you will get a real good impression of some of the characteristic houses of Bergen. ”

“If you want to get out of the center, this place and the neighbouring branch Bien Snack bar is very charming. Check out the menu before you set off, though. It is a bit of a walk back if you change your mind. Luckily it sits right by a light rail stop, though. They just opened a pizza place in the city center too that is worth a visit! ”

“By far the most iconic sight in Bergen is the colorful facade of Bryggen, the old Hanseatic Wharf first established in the 14th century. As Bryggen was rebuilt after a fire in 1702, the picturesque wooden structures have become recognized as a vital part of Bergen’s cultural heritage, and also the world’s, as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Wharf houses a small museum, shops, restaurants, and cafés.”
