Outdoor Event Space
“I call it the Willy Wonka factory for beer. On the weekends there is almost always live music in their outdoor amphitheater, and the lower park on the river is open too! They also have an excellent restaurant. This one could have gone in our breweries section, but it's worth going even if you never have a sip.”

“Located 25 minutes away at the end of Brewery Trail (aka Route 151). A brewery, distillery and restaurant rolled all into one. Great place to grab a quick bite to eat from their outdoor grill and bar. Bring a blanket to sit on their grass or pick from one of the 30 Adirondack chairs around the fire pit. One of our favorite places to get dinner - we love the Bone Dipper and Muscles. Arrive early for dinner and enjoy the outdoor setting with mountain views. ”

“As you ascend the wrought iron staircase to Soul Gastrolounge, you are met with intoxicating smells coming from the restaurant, as well as skyline views of Charlotte. Soul does not take reservations, so expect to wait for a table, but it’s worth it. Lamb lollipops with rosemary, pork belly tacos with watermelon salsa, fresh sushi, and fried Brussels sprouts are some of the enticing menu items at this tapas style restaurant. While waiting, try one of the seasonal cocktails created by Soul’s mixologist, Kel Minton.”

“Highland Brewing is a family-friendly brewery, especially in the summertime. They have a nice outdoor meadow often with free live music(on the weekends) and the kids are free to run and play. They also have a roof-top bar, but kids are not allowed up top. During events, there will usually be a food truck and a sweet treat vendor. Check their Facebook page for more up-to-date info!”
