Seafood Restaurant
“On the Bodega Head at Spud Point Marina with outdoor seating only. Best crab sandwich you'll ever have. The chowder is "famous", and there is even a hot dog option for the kiddos who haven't developed their palates just yet. ;)”

Fish & Chip Shop
“Great fried calamari and the best clam chowder IMHO because it's not overly garlicky! I like to buy a quart of clam chowder to go along with some bay shrimp and dungeness crab to make a Crab & Shrimp Louie Salad at home. Don't forget to grab a jar of Vince's Louie Dressing! ”

“Located right on Bodega Bay. Wood-fired oven menu with great pizzas, crab cakes, salads. Very limited selection but all is good. Go early for lunch as it gets busy after noon. Call first because hours are confusing.”

“The California Coast is breathtakingly beautiful and much cooler than inland. Check the weather first. The drive down Bodega Highway to HYW 1 and back on HWY 116 is very scenic.”

Natural Feature
“This is a sheltered and powerful beach break south of Bodega Bay. Doran Beach is located within a sheltered cove just south of Bodega Bay. The beach here is clean, large, and beautiful. And if the weather’s nice, the weekend can attract a lot of people. Luckily, very few of them come here to surf. You’ll find that the majority of visitors are here to beat the inland heat and picnic, build sand castles, or simply lie around and watch the ocean. This spot is well protected from northwest wind, which can result in picture-perfect glassy surf.”

“Beautiful coastal park 30 min away. During the right time of year, head over to the Bodega Head for some whale watching. Also home to many Fish and Chips joints. ”

Meal Takeaway
“Another one of our favorites! We love coming here with friends (or just by ourselves) and ordering the Seafood soup which is more like a stew, Salmon Fish & Chips and the best Dungeness Crab Nachos! We love this place! Go early or else end up waiting and not finding a table to sit at. ”

They know who's the best providers of other types of equipment and expertise too. They do a great business selling all manner of outdoor sports equipment and casual clothing as well.
