Places to stay in Boulder

Places to stay in Boulder
Our rustic log cabin has scenic views of green pastures, slick rock vistas and mesas. Each of our two rooms comfortably hosts two adults. We are conveniently located less than two miles south of the intersection of Highway 12 and the Burr Trail.
Whether you enjoy an early morning stroll through the beautiful neighborhood of Lower Boulder or bird watching under the cotton wood trees, anyone can enjoy the picturesque setting. Each of the two rooms sleeps two people and also have newly remodeled bathrooms.
Lower Boulder is a friendly neighborhood. There are year long residents and vacation homes here. Along with family farms there are also some ranches and larger farms that employ locals and seasonal residents.
  • Loved staying here! It is in a very convenient location and the room was perfect for resting up between hikes. Best part was definitely the breakfast. The breakfast potatoes have made appearances in my dreams!

  • Ellie's place is awesome. It's in a perfect location - quiet, rural, super pretty. The rooms are really clean and well maintained, comfy beds, hot showers, nice pillows. Ellie makes a killer breakfast every morning and provides a lot of great local information and knowledge from a lifetime of living and exploring the area. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone!

  • Lovely cabin with large, clean bedroom and private bath. The room was spacious and warm on the second floor. Ellie responded quickly to all of my communications. Her directions are clear and the B&B is well-signed. She was flexible and generous about my arriving later than expected. She cooks a delicious breakfast. Her place is a great value.

  • Ellie's place was sparkling clean and quiet. She is local to the area and very knowledgeable. She made us a delicious breakfast and when she was unavailable to make us breakfast, she left us a generous gift certificate to a local restaurant that served us an amazing breakfast. Thank you! Boulder is a beautiful place to visit!

The Bunkhouse is a rustic cabin that is in a fruit orchard. The cabin has one Queen bed, TV and a front porch with table and chairs. We do have free roaming chickens and a pig in our yard. The bathroom is not attached to the cabin you must walk through the orchard less than one minute to the bathroom.
The Bunkhouse is a small rustic cabin that has one Queen bed. It does not have heating and Air Conditioning however we do have a space heater and a fan to keep the cabin comfortable. The Bathroom has a shower.
  • So cute and fun. Great place to rest your head. :)

    Braedon2020-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay. The bed was comfortable, the shower was refreshing, the property was beautiful, and the location was convenient to the hikes we did in Escalante. We would absolutely stay again!

    Kala2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • The bunkhouse is quaint and relaxing. It’s a secret I’d like to keep so we can go there whenever we can, but I guess we have to share!

  • What a GREAT surprise it was to find such a cool place. You won't be disappointed in any way. This is now my goto place in Escalante.

    Shannon2020-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very simple, and a great value for the price. A hot shower and a comfy bed were all I needed, the coffee and the TV were an added bonus. If you’re a light sleeper or want to sleep in in the morning, the sounds from the chickens may bother you, but personally I enjoyed them. If I pass through Escalante I hope to stay again!

    Rhaude2020-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cozy bunkhouse to get a good night sleep after camping for several nights. I will definitely be staying again next time I pass through.

  • We were very happy with our stay at Blue Heron. The tiny house was cozy and comfortable, had nice amenities, and was in a fantastic location for accessing Grand Staircase, Hell’s Backbone, etc. Kelley was communicative and the instructions she left were very thorough. We’d happily stay here again.

    Daniel2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This little place had everything we needed for an awesome anniversary get-away. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and appliances, the bed was comfortable, the star-gazing was unforgettable... Loved it here!

    Doug2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house is charming and so well designed! There are all sorts of clever storage areas, and climbing up to the lofts makes the whole thing feel like a very cool fort from your childhood. The bathroom is lovely, and the shower was very nice. We made use of the full kitchen and gas stove. The location and views are stunning. It is a dark sky area, and the patio and chairs facilitate star gazing. The bed was comfortable. The compressor for the heater was a little loud at night, but we tend to be light sleepers which made it more of an issue for us. Overall, this was a beautiful and comfortable place to stay!

    Caitlin2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in a great location on a ranch. It's incredibly spacious and clean and well located.

    Paulette2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our first tiny house experience, this place was so cute with everything you needed. We loved the location close to a super cute mini market/gas station and also 2minutes away from a very famous and delicious restaurant from UT.

    Marcelo And Evelyn2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny house was fantastic. We have kids (10 and 12) who love watching all the tiny house shows, and we do too, so it was fun to take one for a "test drive". (Yes, it's on wheels but it doesn't move.) We had four of us plus they accommodated our dog for extra fee since he's a small guy and we made it work without a hitch! The views were spectacular, the location to Boulder and neighboring outdoors was perfect, and even being behind the mini market was such a savior.

    Tyler2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place with amazing views!

    Justin2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Located in the heart of slickrock country, this tiny house is thoughtfully constructed, stylishly decorated and perfect for stargazing. Comfortable beds that only require minor gymnastics to climb into and a full kitchen. Indoor eating and lounging areas are small but there's a small deck and other outdoor space. I was very comfortable traveling solo but thought it might be a bit tight for more than 2 people, even though there's room to sleep 4-6.

This apartment is upstairs in a house on the National Registry. We have approx. 2 acres with fruit trees, a vegetable garden and animals with great walkability to downtown Escalante, just three blocks. Surrounded by 1.9 million acres of Escalante National Monument, Dixie National Forest is nearby with hiking trails, creeks and lakes as well. Nearby is Bryce, Zion and Capital Reef National Parks. We embrace people from all backgrounds and ages. Ingrid is from Chile and Spanish is spoken here.
Our home, on 60 East and 300 South, Escalante, is a self-contained farm open to four guests. It is newly furnished. We have magnificent views of Escalante Staircase National Monument. Escalante has 1.9 million acres of hiking with the Dixie National Forest right next door. Within a 1.5 hour drive is Zion National Park, Bryce National Park, Capital Reef National Park and Bears Ears National Monument. Kodachrome State Park and Petrified Tree State Park are right next door. Come visit the many petroglyphs and pictographs left behind by the Fremont Indians. Hiking, fishing, swimming and camping are all around. Our apartment offers a desert oasis friendly to families and Spanish speaking tourists alike.
Our neighborhood is unique because we are only three blocks from Main Street, restaurants and grocery stores yet we have two acres with fruit trees and a working farm. Neighbors are friendly and there are magnificent views all around your walking tour of this town.
  • The stay at Ingrid and Eli’s place was so nice after a long day hiking. We thought they made a great use out of a relatively small space. The king size bed was comfy and everything was easy to figure out to use. Escalante is so small so nothing was far away from them. It would work as a great base camp to use to explore the area if you didn’t want to camp. The only I could say that would be a problem about the place is that the ceilings are quite low. It wasn’t a problem for us at all but if you’re over 6’-4” or so you might be a bit cramped. Other than that a lovely apartment in an house.

    Greg2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent central, comfortable location to explore our public lands and the history of Utah.

    Paul2020-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Ingrid’s cozy place was a haven in rural Escalante I stumbled upon and am so grateful to have lucked out with staying there. She includes thoughtful touches that made me feel cozy and safe, and the scenery is simple stunning. Not to mention, she has alpacas you can feed!! I loved my stay here and can’t wait to come back. Thank you Ingrid!!

    Cara2020-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Ingrid’s place was lovely! We got to meet her, her father in law and their amazing animals! We stayed on the second floor of their house, it was clean, private with all of the amenities (bathroom, kitchen, etc.) that we needed. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful and definitely made our experience in Escalante unforgettable!

    Alexey2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Ingrids place was a perfect place to spend the night. Very large and comfy bed with a lot of extra living space. Feeding the llamas was definitely a huge plus and they are all really friendly. Didn’t get socialize much with Ingrid due to COVID-19 but for the brief interaction we had with her she was very nice and made sure everything was perfect for us. Would stay here again!

    Riley2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, close to the absolutely stunning sceninc route 12 and a lovely home with tons of sweet animals

    Mason2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Ingrid’s place was exactly as described! She was very friendly and inviting. It was just blocks away from the town of Escalante, with restaurants and grocery shopping and close to hiking. The place was clean and quiet, exactly what we needed. We also loved feeding the animals!

    Caitlin2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

  • Alena's place is a wonderfully comfortable house and although 5 minutes to small downtown you feel like you are out on the range. Very usable spacious kitchen and comfortable beds and furniture that feels great after long day of hiking and exploring this beautiful area. Nicely decorated with native american art throughout. Be sure to hit Mimi's Bakery with great bread, croissants and quiches.

    Fred2020-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Alena's house is lovely, very clean, and accurately shown in the pictures. There was plenty of space and the kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked. The self check-in was super easy and convenient. I highly recommend this home to all Escalante visitors.

    Kristi2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here in Escalante! The house was so cozy and clean. Very relaxing to come back to after a day of hiking. Alena gave us great tips and made sure we got in safely. We will definitely stay here again when in southern Utah.

  • Really great peaceful location on the edge of town. Immaculate space with everything you need. Very comfortable beds. Fantastic host. Couldn't ask for anything more!

    Eric2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Alena’s home is the perfect way to stay in comfort and see the Grand Staircase. Her house was located in a perfect spot to enter the monument and explore. The view from her deck is breathtaking. I enjoyed watching the sun rise over the Staircase while having my coffee. What a treat! Really an amazing place to stay in an extraordinary part of our country. Alena has all the comforts of home and we slept awesome! The kitchen has it all and we loved being able to eat home cooked meals while not at home. This is the place to stay if you aren’t roughing it! I will most definitely be staying here again.

    Regan2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place! It is in a great location outside Escalante. The interior is beautifully decorated with a large and well-furnished kitchen. Alena is super easy to interact with...very quick responses and the check-in couldn't be easier. We loved our time there! So did our dog!

    Timothy2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • This house was a great choice for us! We could bring our dogs and there was a nice little backyard to let them out in. Home was cozy and kitchen had everything we needed!

The Retreat is the perfect place to stay in Escalante. We are centrally located, just off the corner of Main and Center Street. With great walkability, businesses are just a few minutes away. We have an outdoor barbecue area and our house is children friendly. We have a stroller, high chair and toys for your little ones. Our home has wonderful views and is centrally located to many national and state parks. Come stay in our Historic home and enjoy the many surrounding sites.
We are taking all the cleaning measures recommended by the CDC, the apartment has the necessary cleaning supplies, and the organic food store in the town is open to all public, There are an onton of beautiful places to walk outdoors, our Wi-Fi connection is of very good quality. We have reopened this May taking 24 or more hours of distance between each reservation. (prevention is our mission) . My family and I have been in quarantine since March, so we will maintain social distance with you, Welcome to Escalante Historic Ranger House Retreat 2nd floor
We are almost right on Main Street. You can see Griffin's Grocery Store on Main from the porch. Everywhere is walkable from the Ranger House. Go to Main Street and head east. Nemo's takeaway has great burgers and sweet potato fries among other yummy fast food. There is a Subway in the gas station. About a quarter mile east is The Canyon Country Lodge if you care for a swim and hot tub for only 3.00. Heading west on Main you will encounter Mimi's Bakery for fresh home made pastries, take away lunch and dinner entrees. Coffee is free at Mimi's and the conversation is wonderful. There is an organic Mercantile Grocery Store, bank, post office and the Escalante Outfitters for the state liquor store and wonderful pizza. I love walking the perimeter of the town to see the scenery and homes.
  • Hands on - a wonderful place to stay at when you get a chance to visit Escalante. Kim and her husband are great hosts. They take care of you and make you feel at home.

Experience a brand new luxury Tiny Home, nestled in rural Southern Utah, redrock cliffs in the distance, busy Milky Way skyscape, in a quiet little hamlet on the edge of Capitol Reef National Park. From a distance the Tiny Home looks kinda ... tiny - but once inside, there's a feeling of spaciousness and light - high ceilings and lots of windows. It is really ideal for 1-2 people, but there's a comfy sofa bed as well for a 3rd person. Note: NO WIFI til April 2020, then 50mg. download.
Because the ceilings are high, it feels surprisingly spacious (432 sq ft). Beautiful wood paneling, hardwood floors, a pebbled shower floor, gas stove, tankless water heater, and a sizable deck are a few of the sweet elements to this comfortable, inviting place to chill after a day in the Park.
This is the neighborhood I always wanted to grow up in. A quiet little hamlet set off from the main road, walks around the block with our dog, visiting friendly neighbors, few cars, beautiful, simple, amazing night skies.
  • Very cute space with easy access to Capitol Reef Park. Very quiet location. Perfect for social distancing. !

CHECK IN AT THE MOTEL OFFICE. 4 unit motel on our 100 acre ranch. Enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful views. 5 miles from Torrey, Ut and 13 miles from Capitol Reef.
Off the beaten path and wonderful for star gazing. Two queens, not just one!
Two miles out of the town of Teasdale.
  • Room was nice and CLEAN which is a high priority for me. Nice new towels and new bathroom! Bed was soft, which is my preference. Pretty quilts on bed were nicer than in photos. Close enough to Capitol Reef to be easy to get to. Off main road so nice and quiet. So many stars at night! Fridge and microwave. No grocery store near by and restaurants close for winter so come prepared if come in off season. One good restaurant was open with excellent food. Would suggest a nicer chair to sit in for reading. Walls a little thin so hear people in room next door, but was not a problem as they were quiet. Worked great for me!

    Delyn2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Place was clean, comfortable and close to Capitol Reef for touring....Host was very accomodating.

    Sue2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • A good-sized room with 2 very comfortable queen beds. Extra pillows. Bathroom extra nice: lots of hot water, special bathroom heat lamp heater, nice thick towels. Near Torrey/Capital Reef Natl Park, UT but out of town on a ranch so very quiet. Torrey has a nice place to eat, Capital Reef Inn.

    Carolyn2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect motel Airbnb stay with a great view! Linda was quick to respond and check in was easy - our key was in an envelope on the office door. The place was very clean and the beds and towels were so nice! It's just like staying in a motel - they even clean your room whole you're gone for the day which was a nice surprise. We would definitely stay again!

    Megan2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • All the conveniences of a motel (direct entry right from parking spot, entire unit to yourself), but with the feel of a fresh farmhouse B&B with nice decor touches. Very relaxing and quiet - out on a large ranch but only a few minutes drive from Torrey. A couple things to know: * Be cautious about the GPS location in Airbnb. If it doesn't match the Google Maps location for Cactus Hill Ranch Motel, then you may be taking a driving tour of the 100 acre ranch... * The number in the listing (3) is not the room number of the unit, so don't be thrown off by that. Go to the office as per the directions. * Booking is not auto-confirmed by Airbnb's system - Linda or staff have to confirm, so just be aware if you're booking in the middle of the night that you'll need to wait for your confirmation.

COVID 19 UPDATE: May 4th 2020. Yes! We are now accepting responsible guest stays at BedrocK Homestead in the heart of The Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, far from the crowds. All-wheel-drive with Subaru clearance or better is necessary to access the driveway. This is an ideal rental for those who embrace the remote, and love a different type of stay in a unique house built inside a free-standing rock dome, and settled on 40 acres of farmland.
You will be visiting a working farm where we strive to produce as much of our own food as possible and sell products locally. You can hike on top of the house to see the surrounding ranch located in an environment of mystical beauty with expansive slick rock views. The hydroelectric rock house rests on the last proved-up homestead in the lower 48 states.
BedrocK Homestead is located inside The Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, a reverie of red rock canyons and lush riparian zones. Your stay is within walking distance of many popular trailheads for day hikes, fishing, and biking.
  • At first, you'll question whether you followed the right directions. After driving miles into the Grand Staircase-Escalante monument and fording a river, you follow a windy road into another world. As you crest a hill, you'll see where you'll be staying, a lone slickrock hill separated from the valley walls, reminiscent of a melted scoop of cinnamon ice cream. Your room is inside, furnished with light, plumbing, a cozy bed, and a beautiful view. The cool weight of the rock over your head is impressive. Put your hand against it and admire its rough hewn quality that helps it maintain an ageless and natural character - your private oasis. At each of the many entrances to the rock palace, giant glass doors are the only thing to separate you from the frontier beauty outside. Step outside any one of them and feel the urge to strike across the stone dunes and get lost in the primal beauty of Escalante. A piece of art reflects the artist. The homestead is truly a reflection of your host Grant. He is a fascinating individual who can indulge you in myriad stories about the history of the rock, the region, or the world at large. He has clearly lived a life of variety before deliberately and specifically applying his learned skills to a passion project that is so far outside the box I couldn't envision it before actually visiting the site. At the time of our visit, Grant was beginning work on a new project - detonating an additional living space in the valley wall. It is strange to think how these projects will likely endure for millennia beyond the other structures of our day. For the time being, Grant offers an exciting and refreshing way to visit southern Utah, so that you can maximize every moment of your visit to a truly special place.

  • Wonderful host and cool location!

    Stacey2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is such an incredible experience that you don't want to pass up! The stars at night here are like nothing else! The home is very neat and clean, plus it's built out of a freaking rock! Grant is an awesome host.

    Brooke2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is much more that just lodging. Yes, there’s Grant’s easy, breezy hospitality, a stream to ford, stars that pop, and the kind of excitement that you haven’t felt since you were 10 years old that comes from spending the night in cave home with a corral of horses nearby. However, it was the opportunity to understand the place and people, both the history and current challenges, that made this stay especially fulfilling. This is a one of kind AirBnb experience that you should not pass up. Thanks, Grant and Gina, for making our trip so special.

  • Was an awesome stay! Value would have been better if Australian dollar stronger!!!! Beautiful area and grant gave great advice for things to see. :)

    Holly2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! The pictures on the listing do not do the place justice. The house is way bigger than we imagined. Getting there is also an adventure and we loved every second of it! Crossing a creek and hoping for the best on the first trip got us excited. After crossing the first time the other times were not that bad. There are sooo many great things to see in that area! Grant's guidance on where to go were super helpful. My wife is a Geologist and Grant and her were able to talk about the geology of the area and that made our trip that more special. We can't wait to come back and enjoy Grant and Gina's amazing hospitality with our children!

The "Bunkhouse" is our economy room! It is our least expensive room because of the small bed and small room size, and it works perfect for some people but if you want more space please pick a different room type. This room is our smallest room. It has a double bed, a small sitting area with a flat screen tv, cable, a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. The bathroom has a big walk-in shower, toilet and vanity. We include "family-style" shampoo/conditioner, shower gel, lotion, hair dryer, and towels. This room is quiet and has just one back window with an air conditioning unit. The heater is a propane furnace. The parking is right in front of this room with only a couple of steps. Outdoor furniture is just outside the room on the porch where you can sit and enjoy your evening after your day of traveling or hiking.
Escalante sits in the middle of the Grand Stair-case Escalante National Monument. We are surrounded by vast amounts of "hidden treasures"!!! For those that are driving thru the area the scenery is wonderful just from the road; BUT for those that like to explore, you are in for a wonderful treat! The photography, hiking, fishing, biking, ATVing, etc is something that you will totally enjoy and you will come back year after year to explore more and more!!!

  • This is an apartment above a stable on a working farm. We loved being out there with the cows and it has an amazing sunset. It is very convenient to Boulder and Grand Staircase/ Escalante, as well as to the acclaimed Hell’s Backbone Grill. It was clean and comfortable—nice bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Donna, the manager was very friendly and helpful.

  • Our daughter reserved this wonderful spacious apartment for our week’s stay In Boulder, Utah. We loved looking out the windows at the view and the farm animals around us. The location for enjoying the sights was excellent. We were able to drive to a different site each day and be back in time to enjoy dinner at a choice of excellent restaurants.

Cabin 1 has a fun western flair. The attached bathroom has a shower and toilet with a sink outside the bathroom. A small refrigerator, a coffeemaker and a continental breakfast you can enjoy in your room make this a great homebase to explore the region from.
  • This was the cutest cabin with the most beautiful view! The place was clean and well kept. The cabin was the perfect escape from a long day of hiking and backpacking.

  • Great communication, easy check in and check out! Great breakfast to help us start our day. Ideal location, if visiting Escalante. Great experience spending a night in such a cabin instead of a motel/hotel, while road tripping in the USA. Jenae was really helpful to assist us with the sightseeing in the area and provide us with maps and information. Totally recommended!

  • Nice little rustic cabin along sleepy route 12. It had everything we needed to feel comfortable during our one-night stay on our way to Moab; comfortable bed(s), full bath, refrigerator, and evap A/C. Jenae was very welcoming and provided a helpful overview of restaurants and services in town. I would definitely book again!

Newly remodeled, private house in the heart of the Grand Staircase monument. Great location, just a few blocks from Main Street. House is surrounded by magnificent mountain ranges, cliffs and canyons. Come watch the beautiful sunset over the mountains from the back porch. Enjoy all Escalante has to offer!
It is a large, ranch style house perfectly suited for large family activities and reunions or small groups. Guests have the entire place to themselves.
Just a few blocks from Main Street, our house is near the local grocery store, restaurants and fun local shops. We’re also in the heart of lots of great hiking trails, a reservoir nearby, and a fun creek.
  • Heidi and Scott were responsive and very helpful with tips for the surrounding area. The house had everything we needed and even had neighborly llamas and alpacas roaming around. Wonderful stay and great host!

    Jimmy2020-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • The home was perfect for our group. Close to all the hikes we wanted to hit while in Escalante. Would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in the area!

  • The house was well located, just minutes from the dirt road leading to the trailheads. It's in a quiet area and my kids loved the Alpacas and Llamas next door. We had a wonderful time.

Spacious home in Escalante, Utah. Central to various hikes in Grand Staircase monument, Bryce Canyon and other nearby National Parks. We also encourage you to check out the less well known hikes in areas of Boulder that are a short drive- the adventures are endless! Great views to enjoy from the four patios in the evening in this quiet neighborhood.
We just completed remodeling this pioneer home with brand new paint and flooring throughout! It is a home that has been in our family for 6 generations since it was built in 1905. We love to hike the nearby trails and appreciate your stay as the funds are going to restoring the home and to keeping it family owned. We have also recently purchased a brand new game table for guests to enjoy while in the home with Foosball, pool and air hockey! Lots of other board games and movies come ready. We hope you enjoy your stay!
The neighborhood is a quiet residential area, we only allow visitors who will comply with these residential standards. No loud music out doors or late at night, no entering the neighboring properties that are fenced outside of our property. This is the perfect place for hikers to rest and relax after a hike if you are looking for a quiet and good nights sleep.
  • Great stay at this house. The house is old and has a lot of character but is super clean and maintains a lot of the historical features while having all the modern amenities. It worked out great for us to be completely self sufficient, we brought our food, but everything else was there that we needed. There was even a small play structure for our young kids (4 and 2) that provided hours of entertainment. The town seemed cute but we didnt go anywhere because of the pandemic. The house was huge for our small family, but in a great location near so many great hikes and not far from Bryce and Capitol Reef. Overall I would definitely recommend. Check in and communication were very easy and quick!

    Shannon2020-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the house! And the area is perfect as well.. communication was great! We definitely want to come back.

  • A fantastic place to enjoy Escalante!

    Paul2020-03-29T00:00:00Z

  • Andy and Kaisa’s home is spacious, comfortable, and truly a special historic treat if you are visiting the Escalante region. Their communication was excellent and they even left treats for our dogs. :) There are several porches to relax and enjoy morning and afternoon light. Excellent dining room and living room for family gatherings, and lots of bed options!

    Sarah2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place! Very unique old house with a lot of charm. Very spacious and comfortable. Only one bathroom so you'll have to share but that wasn't an issue for us. Water has a lot of pressure and is plenty hot for showers and dishes and we did not run out of hot water with 6 people taking showers. Kitchen is well equipped and the living room and dining room are great for socializing. Location is on the east side of Escalante and easy to find. Very quiet location. Everyone noted how comfortable their beds were. The front bedroom is a little colder than the other rooms (we were there when it was snowing) but there are plenty of comforters available and there is a supplemental heater in the room. Lots of history in this old house and we appreciated the pictures and story laid out on the wall. This is a great place to stay and we'll be coming back again!

    Jeff2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • The Napoleon home is a very comfortable an spacious home. It has a nice well appointed kitchen and large dining area. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher but washing a few dishes was not a problem for us. It is fun to read about the history of the home and it was nice to have such a large place to relax in after a day of hiking.

    Diane2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our party of five stayed at the Pioneer house. After each day of hiking and UTV riding, all we wanted was a shower and a hot meal. The Pioneer home was nice to come home to. There was plenty of space in an antique feel. We enjoyed the comfort and uniqueness. Thank you for a very memorable rental!

  • We had a lovely holiday at Ellie's. It was a clean and welcoming space in beautiful surroundings.

    Liza2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin and my room were lovely and comfortable. The shower looked new & was quite spacious. Ellie communicated with me clearly and timely. She was unable to provide breakfast after all but left me a gift certificate to the Hell’s Backbone Grill, where my breakfast was phenomenal. A tip for anyone arriving later in the evening, at least in winter, & this is just about the area in general- be sure to eat dinner before you get to Boulder or have food with you. Literally nothing was open after 8pm, including the one “convenience” store.

    Deborah2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Even though it was a short visit, we loved our stay at Ellie's place. The cabin is located down a dirt road and surrounded by farms with nice views. Kitchen and living room are cozy, and there is a wrap around porch with outdoor seating to enjoy when the weather is nice. Our room was simple, but clean and comfortable. The best part was the home cooked breakfast, which was absolutely delicious and a great way to start the day. We had eggs, potatoes, and fruit. Boulder is a small town near Grand Grand Staircase-Escalante and only about an hour from Bryce. Lots of hikes and slot canyons to explore in the area. We did Lower Calf Creek Falls, Spooky Gulch, and Peekaboo Gulch all in the same day, and then did Bryce a different day. Highly recommend for the price and would definitely stay here again!

    Alexis2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down my favorite Air bnb. A wonderful location, great house, comfy bed, and Ellie was very nice and helpful. Be sure to read the books about the local history!

  • Quiet location, comfortable bed and a delicious home cooked breakfast-I recommend staying with Ellie!

    Kori2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Ellie’s place was a wonderful experience. She made check in a breeze despite our less than concrete time frame. She has a beautiful property with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was made to order and one of the best we had on our trip. If her property is available don’t hesitate to stay. We would recommend for anyone!

    Erik2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ellie’s place was warm and comfortable and in the most beautiful surroundings I’ve seen in a long time - I seriously cried twice I was so overwhelmed by the landscape. She was a wonderful host and I’d recommend staying here to anyone. Thank you Ellie!

  • Great location in Escalante, with very clean facilities and grounds. Great hybrid RV park and simple cabin site. Located right off Smoky Mountain Road which is a cool off-road drive through the National Monument. Highly recommended for an inexpensive alternative to camping, or a respite from your tent. • This cabin was heaven on earth after 5 days of camping! The RV park is cute and full of character, the cabin is simple and cozy, and the camp showers are the cleanest I have EVER seen. I will totally stay here every time I’m visiting Escalante. Great to walk to 4th West for a beer and Circle D for breakfast too :)

    Daryl2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is very cute. The place was busy when I stayed so I did have neighbors but everything was very quiet. There was a fire pit outside which was the perfect touch. The heater inside the cabin will heat the cabin to where you will melt, so I turned it off in the middle of the night. The bathroom facilities are close and very clean. Overall a great place to stay!

    Diana2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Canyon Escalante RV and Cabin park. The cabin was clean and a little bigger than picture made it look. Bathroom and laundry area was sparkling clean and close by. It was very close to several great restaurants (one next door) and in a good location for many hikes and sites! We would definitely recommend it.

    It's a yurt!
We are 1.5 miles from Escalante so you can get anything you need there. You can rent side-by-sides, get guided hikes, or just venture out on your own!
  • If you are wondering...GET THIS YURT!! Comfy bed and pillows, great bathroom and shower with your own robes, Keurig with coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Jan also provides breakfast! It a fantastic deal with a cool and stylish space to stay in :)

  • Too nice!... upon arrival my girlfriend didn’t want to leave the luxury of the yurt ! ( and we had just come form a suite and the Wynn hotel ) This is a high end luxury accommodation among the rural beauty of Escalante .

    Chad2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jan’s place was a delightful treat. My wife couldn’t stop talking about how comfy the bed was, and I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. If we’re ever in the area again, we would definitely come back to this little oasis in the desert.

  • The yurt experience was outstanding! The location was perfect and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

    David2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • The yurts are so beautiful, clean, and well equipped. Jan is a fabulous host and even helped us jump our car in the morning when we accidentally left our lights on all night. Delicious breakfast, multiple space heaters, lovely surroundings and ideal location for hikes in the national park.

    Brinn2017-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our night in the Willow yurt. The bathrobes, keurig, refrigerator, wine glasses, and breakfast were all great surprises. Jan also provides standard toiletries and a hair dryer which should help lighten everyone's luggage. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the pictures don't show how spacious the Yurt actually is. Our only regret was not allowing ourselves more time to spend there! We definitely hope to be back!

    Haley2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our yurt! It was clean and beautifully decorated. The space is quiet and peaceful, great for a get-away, but still close enough to Escalante for restaurants and activities. Three adults shared one of the smaller yurts, and there was plenty of room! Jan and Scott have thought of everything you could possibly need. They are so friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast was included, which was an added, unexpected benefit!

  • Cabins are clean. If you get the chance to come here quickly, James who is in charge of the camp is a very helpful guy who will provide you all the right information to visit peekaboo and spooky. He drives us also on the dinosaur path. We have had a very exciting day in his company. Can’t have been better!!!!

    Charles2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • We love our cabin and the open space to enjoy. The shared outhouse facility is new, clean and spotless. Ryan is wonderful in giving us clear tips and details for local hikes and attractions

  • Ideal place to spend a few nights and go hiking in the Capitol Reef or in the surrounding area. Cabin was clean and perfectly adequate, showers and toilets although central, but new and clean. Lower Creek Falls are highly recommended!

Sweet cabin on 10-acre horse property and the Fremont River at West Entrance of Capitol Reef National Park. Very private. A great retreat or home base for your backcountry adventures.
Great cabin on 10 acre horse property with beautiful red rock view on Fremont river. Horse shoe pit by the river!
easy access to Capitol Reef National Park, hiking, fishing, ATV, biking, canyoneering, you name it. contact Backcountry Outfitters (torrey) to make a plan!
  • My wife and I visit this area often. This time, we social distanced from our kids in Cody and Tina's cabin. What a great choice! It is nestled on a gorgeous horse property with all of the natural beauty of the area on display. The cabin is super cozy and clean. It is cleverly designed so that, despite its small size, it is comfortable for 2 adults and little ones would fit easily as well. We didn't even make it to Torrey, or the staircase. We spent our days exploring the canyons right by the cabin. In the evenings, we BBQd and gazed at the most spectacular stars ever. I am told I fell asleep then, lying on the deck, and I hadn't even had a drop to drink! Having stayed in the Torrey area many times, this was our most enjoyable trip. Cody and Tina's cabin was perfect. They were delightful hosts, very informative and helpful when we had questions. Thanks for letting us stay. Beautiful job! 5 stars all around. No criticisms at all, honestly. This is a treasure.

    Robert2020-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location to spend your evenings!

    Morgan2020-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is heaven. You are nestled by the canyon, and there are amazing views all around. The bed is insanely comfortable. The tv and couch are a cozy place to hang out, and we loved star gazing at night too. Nice big fridge and there’s even a dishwasher, so it’s easy to make some nice meals in the cabin. I can’t recommend this place enough!

    Samantha2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

  • Cozy cabin in a beautiful location. Exactly what we wanted!

    Jonathan2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the location and privacy it’s a bit off the beaten path and worth it ,down a winding dirt road ,but near enough to enjoy a quick trip into Torrey !We loved the cozy cabin with a great shower and very comfortable bed !

    Shelley2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • A good address, very quiet and comfortable. The kitchen is properly equipped. The cabin is Isolated from the main road but close to Capitol Reef. Many hikes around. Beautiful sunset, with horses in the meadow opposite. The children slept well on the couch.

These king rooms are our biggest rooms with one king bed. Each bathroom has a shower/tub combo, toilet, and vanity. We have "family-style" shampoo/conditioner, shower gel and lotion, hair dryer, and towels. Each room has a sitting area with a loveseat or a couch and a flat screen tv with cable. We also offer free wifi. The rooms are provided with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. The rooms have heating and air and a fan above the bed. The rooms also have a big window in the front of the room. Outside of each room is a porch where you can sit on the outdoor furniture and enjoy your evening. Parking for each room is right in front of the room and only a few steps to get to the rooms.

  • This spot is perfect for a pit stop in Escalante. The room and facilities were lovely and clean, and the bed is super comfortable. Check in was a breeze, we got in late and Debbie made getting into our cabin seamless. Highly recommend.

  • We enjoyed Cabin 5. It’s simple, the wooden inside is cozy and outdoor is nice. We stayed in between camping nights, little rest from setting camp. Walking distance to town, showers next door and laundry available. Nice people taking care of the place.

    Joel2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location. Check in was quick and we were given a rundown of the property, as well as a list of local eats and shops. The cabin we stayed in was a great size for just the two of us. The laundry and shower facilities are large and very very clean. Make sure you sit outside at night for some INCREDIBLE star gazing. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking. We will definitely be back.

If you are seeking a quiet peaceful getaway, this is your place. Teasdale is located minutes from Capitol Reef National Park and Boulder Mountain. You can play all day and come to your home away from home and relax in a beautiful setting.
It is in a very peaceful small town. But only minutes to Torrey, where you can find dining, general store, country bar and dancing.
Quiet town and friendly neighbors. Take a stoll and checkout beautiful yards. There is a house made of bottles 2 blocks away. It hasn't been lived in for a long time. But is very unique.
  • Outstanding hosts! Communication was great, the house was very clean and comfortable.

    Travis2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

  • A great place to stay. We came here in winter, very close to the park and just the coziest place to come back to at the end of the day. Such a peaceful place to wake up in. I would highly recommend this place to friends and family. Any questions we did have were answered within minutes. We would definitely stay here again.

  • This place is a camp ground with shared facilities for laundry and showers. The town has good places to eat and is a great location for all the state and national parks in the area. We really like the rustic cabin ambiance (cabin is actually relatively new). It fit the activities we wound up doing perfectly. Great value.

    Shelley2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed this place. The amenities in the park are great (laundry, etc.), and the cabin was clean, cozy, and has a great deck for checking out the stars late at night. It's also really close to a lot of great hikes and viewpoints.

    Taylor2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • The bathrooms/showers that were available at the campground were the cleanest at any RV Park, or campground I’ve ever stayed at. There is also a great cafe and pub right next door that we ate at for basically every meal. The beds were comfy, and sheets were especially soft. This place is perfectly near everything, and was a great deal for the price. 10/10
