“The most awesome , historical venue to hear the most traditional, old-school New Orleans Jazz. Look it up before you go to decide if you want to buy tickets or just wait in line.”

“If you happen to be in town on a Thursday, you're gonna wanna go to Jacks for their 80's night. Trust me! Think go-go dancers on platforms and cheesy 80's movies projected on a giant screen in the coolest, most bordello-y venue in all of New Orleans! Always a good time :) The rest of the week One Eyed Jacks has touring and local bands as well as burlesque shows and other DJ nights. Honorable mention goes to Vixens & Vinyl every Wednesday, which is a combo burlesque and DJ night in the front lounge.”

“Situated in an historic 1831 building in the heart of the French Quarter. Since its founding in 1969 it has become a mecca for jazz lovers and musicians alike. Home of traditional New Orleans jazz. ** We were surprised what a fun spot this was to pop into off of Bourbon St.'s craziness. ”

“This is where the party never ends in New Orleans. It gets very crowded on weekends and even more so on holidays and Mardi Gras. A lot of drunk people. And a lot of weird things happen here. Be safe, and always have a buddy system.”

“I greatly enjoyed a couple of the Haunted History Tours on my first visit to the Big Easy. I highly recommend them! Disclaimer... there may be some "embellishment", depending on the tour guide! :D If you really want scared silly, stay a night at the Myrtles Plantation. There are grown folk in New Orleans afraid to set foot there!”

“Multilevel bar & club with thumping DJ beats, laser lighting, bottle service & a balcony overlooking Bourbon St. Pro Tip: In New Orleans, you can take your drinks with you on the street, but cannot bring them into a new bar. ”
