  • Super cute little place to stay for a couple of nights! Lovingly decorated and really cosy - obviously a lot of thought has gone into transforming the shed and it really shows. Regular check in messages from Alison and its was super easy to find and check in, only comment is that local transport is limited so would recommend having a car! Thanks a lot, loved staying here.

  • Comfortable stay in a really quiet spot. Stylish small and self contained space. Chris was a friendly yet unobtrusive host. The space has a double bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. There is a coffee machine but no tea making facilities though when we asked Chris for a cuppa after a long day walking he was kindly happy to oblige. Breakfast was yummy, sourdough toast, croissant and homemade Bircher mueslis along with orange juice and tea. It’s super quiet at night meaning you’ll get a quiet night’s sleep. Thanks for a nice stay!

  • Stone Cottage is a delightful place, very quiet and with a pretty garden. The location is excellent, very convenient to reach Holt and the lovely North Norfolk coast with its wonderful beaches and birdlife, as well as visitor attractions such as Holkham Hall, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom excellent with a good shower. Christopher put two champagne glasses in the room when he knew it was my wife's birthday. Another nice touch is the small speaker which can link with mobile phones for music, etc. The breakfast was delicious. Christopher was there when we arrived to check in. He made us feel welcome and gave us some useful local information. Recommended.

Great suggestions for places to eat out. Would stay longer next time!

Romantic 'gypsy' style showman's wagon (c. 1920) in idyllic cottage garden with wonderful birdsong and views of a medieval church. It was recently renovated with electricity, basic kitchen and has use of a private bathroom attached to the cottage as well as a piece of garden with outside seating and fire bowl. The Wagon is available in the summer month's only - from mid March to mid October.
This delightful 100 year old timber showman's wagon was recently renovated and sleeps two in a comfy double bed. The wagon is fitted with a basic kitchen (fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave) and has an outdoor barbecue, fire bowl and your own piece of the garden. A private shower room with loo and sink is attached to the main cottage, 20 metres away. Situated in a enchanting cottage garden, the light and airy space has views to a medieval church. The small village is six miles from the sea and there are great walks all around. Within one mile is the local shop, garage and excellent butcher. Within four miles, the charming Georgian market town of Holt.
Six miles away, there is an extensive protected coastline for bathing, walking and bird watching. We recommend the Dun Cow (Salthouse) and Hunworth Bell pubs for their food, and the Wiveton Hall Cafe and fruit farm for the views and produce. Holt is great for shopping and Wells-next-the-sea is famed for its fish & chips. There are some magnificent country houses locally, including Blickling Hall (ancestral home of Anne Boleyn), Holkham Hall, Felbrigg Hall and East Ruston Gardens. Notable local beaches are Holkham, Brancaster, Blakeney Point and Morston freshes or the closest place to swim is Cley-next-the-sea.
  • Such a special, cosy and unique place to stay. We had a lovely 2 night stay in the Showmans Wagon. Julia was a lovely host, great to chat with her whilst admiring her lovely garden. Perfect retreat for a mini break and great base for exploring the north Norfolk coast. We loved the special touch of homemade marmalade, it was delicious, we also had a lovely meal at the Hunny Bell in Hunworth. We will be back to stay again next year! Thanks Julia!

  • I sent my parents here for my Dad's birthday present - they loved it as much as we do!

  • It was lovely staying in Julia's Wagon! Would definitely recommend for relaxing and a having some time away from the city. We especially loved the garden and Julia's horse :). The Wagon has cutlery, a little fridge and anything you could need. But you should bring your own hairdryer if you require one since we couldn't find one. All in all would definitely stay there again. Thanks Julia!

  • This is a magical place - the beautiful old wagon is set in Julia's stunning cottage garden, amid a charming little village with plenty of opportunities for peaceful walks along country lanes and paths. I spent three nights here to try and focus on some writing I needed to finish, and it was a perfect place to find some peace, quiet and concentration, as well as to relax in the evenings at the coast, which is only a few miles away. The accommodation features lots of thoughtful and welcoming extra touches, and Julia is an exemplary host.

Stone Cottage, a delightful 200-year-old detached cottage, is reputedly the oldest house in the sought after village of Sharrington and was, at one time, the village post office. Full of character, the cottage has been renovated in recent years and, under the current ownership, has been transformed into a really lovely, welcoming and comfortable holiday property, with modern touches and quirky decorative bits and pieces. The age of the cottage means the beamed ceilings are on the lowish side, the stairs are quite steep (there is no handrail), and the width of the doorway to the twin bedded room is 'slimline'. There's a fabulously cosy open-plan living area, divided by a large double sided wood burning stove to keep you warm in the winter months. In the summer, there is a really lovely private, enclosed garden to enjoy. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the cottage will appeal to families and couples, who want to enjoy this beautiful part of rural North Norfolk. Just three miles from the ever popular Georgian market town of Holt, one mile from an award-winning farm shop and restaurant, and within easy driving distance of the beautiful coastal villages of Morston, Cley and Blakeney, there is something on offer for everyone. Additional Information Please note: The Apple television and Amazon Fire stick are accessible via the television - this gives full Internet TV and connection to BBC iPlayer. It is also connected to amazon Prime films and box sets. These are free of charge however guests are respectfully requested to not buy films that are chargeable or connect via their own amazon account. There is a sound bar under the television unit for Bluetooth connection that can be connected to play guests own music from a phone/tablet. Two well behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Norfolk winder stairs are, as with older character cottages enclosed, steep, curved and narrow. Here they are carpeted and have no hand rail. Ground Floor: Entrance porch A glazed entrance door leads you into the cottage. The porch has a quarry tiled floor, coat hooks and shoe rack. Entrance hallway The hallway has a tiled floor and there is a step down into the open-plan living area. Open-plan sitting / dining room A very cosy relaxing area, with antique agricultural finds adorning the walls. A brick chimney breast divides the room and houses the double sided multi fuel burner (a starter pack of fuel will be provided in the winter months). The ceiling is beamed across the room, being just slightly lower in the sitting area. There is a farmhouse style wooden table with six painted chairs in the dining half, and two comfy sofas with throws and cushions in the sitting half of the room. There is a wide screen Apple television and Amazon Fire stick, DVD player and board games for cosy nights in. Double glazed windows overlook the pretty garden. Kitchen A small but functional room, open to the dining/sitting room. Painted units house plenty of equipment and there is a bright red Smeg fridge/freezer for that retro feel. There is a Stoves induction cooker, slimline dishwasher and microwave. Utility/pantry A really useful room off the hallway, with shelving for food storage, and a place for the washer/dryer. Master bedroom There is a king size bed, painted wardrobe and matching bedside tables, a chest of drawers, and wall mounted bedside lamps. Windows overlook the garden. A light-filled, pretty room. Downstairs shower room A double shower cubicle, with glazed screen to one side, wash basin and WC. First Floor: Landing/study area There is a small landing area at the top of the stairs, where there is just enough space for a desk with stool and an easy chair - a good spot to read and write. Upstairs bedroom suite A door from the landing leads into a small room, with a 2'6"single bed, chest of drawers and easy chair. A further, narrow doorway, from within this room takes you into a twin bedded room with iron bedsteads, easy chair, chest of drawers and television. Due to sloping ceilings, there is some restricted headroom to both rooms. Bathroom A fully tiled room with white suite comprising bath, wash basin and WC. Outside: During the summer, there is a really lovely private, enclosed garden to enjoy. Gravelled area with table and seating for six. Further seating area under pergola with wicker furniture and fire pit.

It was a Methodist Church dated 1820 approx, we just fell in love with it and tried to saved it, still a bit of a work in progress.. but we believe that as creative retreat it's a great space; full of light and room, located in the quiet village of Briston, not far from the lovely town of Holt and not far from the beautiful Norfolk coast. In the Chapel you will find a wide range of books, board games, a baby grand piano, a drum kit & yoga mat. There is a small garden and has a few grave stones.
Briston has a few shops including a butcher, baker and greengrocer, and a Co-Op food store that are all very close to the Chapel. The Explorers Bar in Briston is very relaxing and has wifi . The local pub, the Three Horseshoes, serves good food and is only a short walk away in Melton Constable NR24 2JA . Sometime they may have a band playing. The award winning Hunworth Bell is in the next village, with great food and nice atmosphere. Also there are lots of stately homes and gardens to visit too such as Voewood House, Sandringham, Blicking Hall, Holkham Hall and Wiveton Hall.

  • Pedlars Rest was exactly as described, sparkling clean, modern but tasteful decor, with the kitchen bits and bobs that you need for a short break. The first thing that hit me when I opened the door was the lovely smell, and I knew from that moment that attention had been taken to make guests' stays memorable. I liked the layout of the sitting area/TV, with separate bedroom, and the shower was great also. Teas and coffees of various descriptions were available. Sheets were sooo soft and luxurious...Thank You

  • A fabulous apartment feel. Stylish, everything you could possibly need plus a few extras (body butter in the shower room) was so appreciated. Immaculate, welcoming, spacey and they were good enough to put up with my 2 dogs which is brave considering you never know what to expect. Highly recommended.

  • A lovely cosy hut in ideal location for exploring north Norfolk. We were nice and snug despite storm Dennis passing by while we were there. Well thought out hut with everything we needed and having the shower hut seperate was not an issue at all and was also kept warm and clean. Would definately visit again.

  • A perfect getaway retreat to celebrate my hubby's birthday. Very quaint and secluded, gorgeous log burner and with easy access to Wells next the Sea and the amazing Anchor pub in Morston where the food was fresh and cooked to order. The shower hut was lovely too and it felt like a little bit of luxury staying somewhere different for such great value. Also located in a great village with easy access to lots of lovely locations along the coast. Cannot recommend enough! Thank you both.

The Black Apollo coffee shop is 'small but perfectly formed' and produce their own unique blends and roasts of coffee. If you like clothes you'll love Holt with boutiques brimming with treasures for your wardrobe! Holt is also very canine friendly and recently, 'Woofers and Barkers' a shop catering especially for our four legged chums opened on the High Street for the 'top dogs' in town.

With a love for all things Modernist and a passion for wood, The Space has been created exclusively for those looking for a different place to stay in North Norfolk. With high angled ceilings and modern sliding doors to the deck, this is a great space to retreat to, whatever the season. In autumn and winter, the log burner and under floor heating create a scandi ‘hygge’ feel. While in spring and summer, the views out to the meadow and orchard connect with nature and give you space to breathe.
The handmade ply kitchen has everything you need with gas oven and hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. We will ensure you have some dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid and cloths to get you started. We supply logs (for your arrival) for the wood-only burner. There are two ground floor en-suite bedrooms, plus a small mezzanine (in the second bedroom with a small double Futon sofa) – this can either be another space to relax or for an extra person to sleep (please note it is accessed via a steep wooden ladder staircase at your own discretion). There will be an additional cost of £30 per night for a person to sleep here. The en-suite bathrooms have walk-in showers, underfloor heating and warming towel rails. We do supply eco-friendly hand wash and room fresheners. You have exclusive use of the enclosed courtyard with BBQ. We like to make you feel at home, so there will be some ready to heat croissants in the freezer, milk, tea, coffee and wine when you arrive. You are welcome to arrange a supermarket delivery but please ensure it won’t arrive until you do, as we can’t always guarantee we will be here to receive it for you. We do allow one dog per stay for an additional £30, which we can add to your bill once you've booked. Please let us know about your dog before you arrive and note our rules around climbing on beds and furniture etc. We do have two dogs so please only bring your four legged friend if they are sociable.
North Norfolk’s landscape is all about space, with big skies, salt marshes, creeks and vast sandy beaches. Whether you enjoy bird watching, sailing, walking or just relaxing on the beach there is something for everyone to enjoy in the big outside. We are located a few miles from the Georgian town of Holt, with other lovely towns/villages nearby (Blakeney, Cley, Wells, Sheringham, Burnham Market to name a few). There are National Trust properties very close as well as the large Norfolk Estates of Holkham and Houghton. We even have the smaller estates of Stody and Heydon close by – which are a bit of a hidden gem. There are lots of beautiful wedding locations close by and we are always happy to welcome guests who are here to celebrate someone's big day. We'll leave you some notes in The Space about other places to visit and are happy to chat to you when you arrive and start planning your time with us.
  • We had a great weekend in The Space. It is an amazing building which is spacious as well as cosy. We had our first weekend away with our five month old daughter and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We would definitely like to go back and I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone else!

Denise was a lovely host & was very thoughtful. After a wet & windy day at the beach, it was lovely to come back to relax next to the warm, cosy fire. I highly recommend Denise & her beautiful home to you all. X

  • Absolutely fantastic accommodation. Stunning views and lovely and quiet. A great deal of thought has gone into the planning of 'The Space'. The rooms and facilities are like a 5* hotel and touches like wine and chocolate bread for the kids do make a difference. Denise couldn't have been more helpful and we are already planning our next trip.

It only takes 30 minutes (drive) to get to the North coast. There are also lots of brilliant pubs only a short drive away, all of Grants food recommendations were spot on. Also the bed is very comfortable and the space was warm throughout our stay. We had the perfect cosy, relaxing weekend with lots of great food and walking. Thank you!

  • Our stay at the barn was just perfect. The barn itself is cosy, very clean, well equipped, and beautifully designed, Leigh is clearly an exceptional interior designer, as the whole place had a lovely balance of reclaimed and rustic objects and furniture. Leigh greeted us on arrival, and was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Previous to meeting, she was also amazing at communication, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a special stay. It was my partner's birthday, so she left a lovely bottle of bubbly for us, along with a "Happy Birthday" message which was very thoughtful. The barn itself is near the house, but definitely feels private. Next to the barn is Saint Peter's church which is also well worth a pop in, even just for it's stunning ecological themed stained glass window. I can't recommend staying here enough. Thankyou Leigh for everything!

The Annex is a converted barn house adjacent to a 16 century thatched cottage, Bridge House, in the quiet village of Thornage in North Norfolk. A couple of minutes drive to the nearest town of Holt with its boutique shops, pubs and restaurants. The coastal villages of Blakeney, Cley and Salthouse are also just a short drive away. Within 15 mins you can be in Wells next the Sea, Sheringham or Cromer. Care should be taken with young children due to paddle style stairs and also the adjacent river.
  • We had a lovely weekend at Steve’s place despite the terrible weather. The annex is a great space and has everything you need. It is also perfectly situated for visiting Holt and the surrounding areas. We would definitely stay again

    Mary2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cosy and lovely place. It was perfect for me and my two kids and our dog, everything we needed!

    Hannah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My two daughters, dog and I had the happiest stay while in Norfolk visiting friends in Holt. Steve was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The space was perfect for us, the girls loved their room and the super cool stairs. It was comfortable and cosy - we would love to return again in the future.

    Charlotte2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place - our boys loved the stairs and the little stream in the garden! Steve was a great host and Excellent at communication and responses. Adequate amenities to make simple meals if that’s your thing - the nearest shops are a 5 min drive away if you run out of anything. Good for country walks - definitely pack your wellies! The only little niggle was the WiFi signal - kept cutting out, so if you need to stay connected, that might be a little bit of an issue. Will look to book again when we next visit Holt!

    Amanda2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • A great location and a lovely cozy place.

    Clint2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Annex was such a cosy little getaway! Beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches throughout. It was very peaceful at night as it’s right next to a little stream. There were four of us staying and plenty of room, you could probably fit a fifth person if you were all well acquainted! Steve was a lovely host, he was very warm and welcoming and super attentive! He had lots of great recommendations and he’s in the cottage right next door so not far if you need anything! North Norfolk is stunning, definitely recommend staying @ The Annex.

    Georgie2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely setting, close to Holt and the north Norfolk coast. The cottage was cosy even though we stayed during a cold and dreary few days in November. The paddle stairs are steep so probably not suitable for someone with mobility problems. Friendly welcome from Steve.

  • What a gorgeous cottage and beautiful surroundings....local amenities and ease of communication with both James and Jenny was brilliant. A wonderful place to explore such beautiful places, towns, beaches and tasty places to eat and drink...and then so cozy to come back and put the wood burning fire on. We are a family of four and our holiday was loved by us all....and we are already planning when we can next return. We would highly recommend this place.

  • Lovely stay in Holt, the house is lovely and the owners were brilliant at communicating. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thank you.

    Abbie2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here as a family of 4 - it's such a lovely little cottage in a brilliant location. Has everything you need with the bonus of being able to BBQ in the back yard. Parking restrictions are a bit of a pain but not too restrictive. We tended to park outside overnight, move down the road at 9am then bring it back when we headed out later in the morning with arms full of beach/kids stuff! The surrounding area is so nice and lots to do in easy driving distances. The house itself is beautifully decorated and was plenty big enough for us. The only negative comment I can think of is the double bed needs a new mattress! Can thoroughly recommend a stay here.

  • Sarah is a very welcoming host and her place is a brilliant place. Surrounded by nice countryside but not too far to walk to the nearest pub.

    Nic2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • It's stylish and spacious with lots of lovely touches. We only stayed two nights but wished we'd stayed a week. The bed was oh-so-comfortable, the kitchen fully-equipped and there were board games and books galore if the Norfolk weather takes a turn for the worst. It's light and lovely with a view out to the garden. Sarah is a great host and has designed a beautiful space, perfect for a brief breather.

  • Sarah was a fantastic host! Her place was spotless and the board games were a really nice touch in the event of bad weather. Sarah even went above and beyond the act of duty and returned an item to me in the post that I stupidly forgot to pack. Will 100% be going back. Thank you.

  • A lovely cottage - very nicely designed and laid out and spotlessly clean. Very quiet location (perfect) but only a 10 minute drive into Holt. Communication with Louisa was great and she was very thoughtful and left us some goodies which our children particularly enjoyed! Also thoughtful touches for our dogs - dog basket and treats. Thank you!

This is a lovely converted period barn with an open plan kitchen/living space & spiral staircase leading to a mezzanine bedroom with a king sized bed and small en-suite shower room. Two miles from the North Norfolk coast with great pubs and walks.
There is a car parking space available and a seating area outside, which is a great sun trap.
  • Poppy Barn is a stylish and comfortable place to stay in a lovely quiet location, but within easy reach of the coast by car. Lots of local information was on hand and the facilities were everything that you need for a relaxed stay. We would definitely recommend to others and will be staying again ourselves!

    Jan2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really great week’s stay at Poppy Barn, we particularly enjoyed the quiet location and the really well designed accommodation. There are loads of lovely places to visit, often within 20 minutes drive. We have an electric car and Emma and the team very helpfully provided a cable for us to charge our car overnight. All in all we had a fantastic week.

    Jim2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Poppy Barn was really special and perfect for a Norfolk getaway. The space itself is lovely and full of thoughtful little touches. Genuinely one of my favourite places I’ve stayed in recent times. The cottage was also secluded, communication was great and there were some great suggests of local places to eat at or visit in the pack provided. Overall great! Hope to come back one day!

    Phil2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning mini-barn, beautifully appointed, very comfortable and stylish. Lovely outdoor seating area. Lots of amazing places to visit nearby and fantastic restaurants dotted around the area. Couple of negatives - the shower door leaked badly, but hopefully easily resolved ahead of future visits (?). Communication was a bit slow throughout (beforehand and during), but not really an issue. We didn't meet owner or manager, so no personal contact, again not a concern for us, but overall, it just didn't feel very can-do/friendly - but it's a minor gripe and shouldn't put anyone off going to Poppy Barn - we absolutely loved our stay there!

    Katherine2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This barn is truly a beautiful stay! The photos don’t do it justice. When we arrived there was milk, juice, bread, butter and jams laid out. In the cupboard was coffee, teabags and sugar. There was a whole folder of local recommended restaurants and activities, which we used a lot to help plan our days out! In the folder there are directions of how to walk to the closest pub, but we would probably suggest not doing this as there aren’t any pavements to walk on. There’s a huge TV along with lots of DVDs to choose from and some board games. The location itself is really good - bang in the middle of all the places we wanted to visit (Holt, Wells, North Norfolk Railway, Norfolk Lavender etc). The use of our own driveway for the car was very useful. Thanks very much, we can’t wait to come back again!

    Leena2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at the superbly converted barn. Stylishly fitted out with everything you need. It’s wonderfully quiet.

    Carol2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our favourite location in Norfolk - superb balance of rural quiet and access to the coast.

A centuries' old cottage given a new lease of life in the conservation area of Hunworth in the Glaven Valley, North Norfolk - two miles from Holt and five from the wonderful north Norfolk coast and its marshes and beaches. Spinks Nest is a charming and stylish boutique cottage. Recently completely renovated to the highest of standards, Spinks Nest is cosy, fun, stylish, relaxed, well-appointed, luxurious yet rustic. We hope you'll enjoy it and its wonderful location!
Spinks Nest has been lovingly renovated and restyled using reclaimed materials and appliances: A micro-cement sunken bath and thermostatic brass shower An Iroko wood clad toilet Zinc-worktop with powerful Smeg induction hob and combi oven Siemens dishwasher Liebherr fridge-freezer Ultrafast 2 fibre broadband - delivering download speeds of around 300Mbs and upload speeds of around 50Mbs with unlimited capacity Woolroom Oxford 9000-spring wool mattress with hypoallergenic wool pillows and all-season duvets Three zone underfloor heating Wood-burner
Pubs Just two minutes' walk (five minutes' crawl) down Kings Street is The Hunworth Bell (know to locals as The Hunny Bell). This is a great local pub that serves outstanding food for lunch and dinner; it is owned and operated by the same team as The Duck Inn near Burnham Market. Walks There are several permissive footpaths starting in and near the hamlet, just yards from the cottage. These pass through some beautiful Glaven Valley countryside. Hunworth An ancient hamlet mentioned in the Doomsday Book, the cluster of buildings that Spinks Nest is part of is centuries' old. There are even older buildings in Hunworth such as the medieval church, St Lawrence, which dates in parts back to the 14th century. Hunworth Hall hails from the late 17th century. 18th century Hunworth Mill is one of several old watermills along the River Glaven, including one restored to working order at Letheringsett, which can be visited. The Glaven Valley Home to Hunworth and the River Glaven, a chalk stream of around 15 miles' length which eventually runs into the sea at the marshes at Cley and Blakeney. It is home to an array of flora and fauna, notably kingfishers, otters, crayfish, water voles, and many more. Much work has been undertaken recently to restore parts of the river to its ancient meandering forms, some of it in Hunworth - allowing it to flood ancient meadows. North Norfolk Vast marshes with their huge skies, the shoreline - intermittently made up of shingle beaches and miles of sandy dunes - as well as ancient woodlands, make North Norfolk a special place. There are miles of walks on foot (including some National Trails walks, Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path), by bike, as well as via bridal paths. It is an area of no little elegance either, dubbed the "Champagne Coast", and boasts many lovely hamlets, villages, and towns. Burnham Market and Holt, both of which are home to elegant shopping, including many fine art galleries, home stores, clothes shops, and antique markets.
  • Fantastic little place, beautiful and cosy inside, well equipped, great pub short walk down the road, seaside towns and beaches a short drive away.

  • This air bnb is an absolute gem. It’s the perfect get away in north Norfolk and is so cosy. Ana and Alan have thoughtfully fitted it out to ensure maximum comfort. Definitely hope to be back soon. Many thanks to you both.

  • We had a fantastic long weekend in this beautiful cottage. I had looked at a lot of images of the cottage and read reviews before arriving and I can honestly say that they were all completely true to life! The cottage was actually perhaps even better than we had expected! There are quirky and interesting features wherever you look and the fixtures and fittings are of superb quality. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the bathroom a real treat to use, especially the sunken bath and the lovely toiletries. We made great use of the log burner, a lovely place to while away the hours with a drink and a book. The Hunworth Bell down the road had great food, drinks and service and was only a short walk away. Overall a fantastic place to stay and we are already talking about another visit! Thank you! Stephanie

    Stephanie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a spectacular place.... nestled in the heart of Norfolk. The interior has been thoughtfully put together with fantastic attention detail. The bathroom was like having our own little spa and the living/bedroom space was devine!

    Sara2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our week at Spinks Nest has been full of joy. We have been so happy every evening sitting together in front of the wood burner with a drink, simply enjoying our surroundings. We’ve enjoyed two Bublé baths in the incredible bathroom and slept very well every night in the amazing wool bed. The definition of the word perfect is “having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be.” That describes what Ana and Alan have achieved with Spinks Nest. We really did not want to leave. This is truly a tiny haven of happiness. We hope to return again at some point.

    Sue2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The best air bnb I have ever experienced. Infact one of the best places I have EVER stayed full stop. From the moment I arrived in the cottage it felt warm and welcoming. It is a stylish, warm inviting space. With gorgeous Aesop products and welcoming touches. Like G&T, nice biscuits, tea, Jams and a fruit bowl. The bed is soooo comfortable and this place is just divine in every way!

    Carly2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my boyfriend visited Spink's Nest cottage for a romantic weekend getaway on a cold December weekend and it was everything we hoped for and more! Ana & Alan could not be more accommodating and the place was simply amazing - from a ridiculously comfy bed, beautifully decorated interior and cosy fireplace to an actual Spa experience in the unique bath with G&Ts on arrival. If you are looking for a perfect place to relax, unwind and spend a few days surrounded by beautiful English countryside then this is definitely it. It's been just a few days but we are already planning our next visit, literally can't wait to come back!

We love this beautiful little cottage, and feel sure you will do too. Packed full of character with oodles of charm, it's stylishly furnished, has a fully enclosed, pretty cottage garden, comes with private parking and secure bike storage, and is just a few minutes' walk away from Holt town centre. It's dog friendly too. What's not to love?! As the name suggests, this delightful Victorian property was once home to the local cobbler and his shop and, despite being extended and updated in recent days, the cottage has lost none of its character - the display of cobbler's shoe lasts in the dining room still looks right at home. The cottage is furnished throughout in an attractive, eclectic style, combining a mix of retro and new, and always with comfort foremost in mind. An interesting collection of artworks, dotted here and there, complement each room, and complete the cottage's individual look. On the ground floor, there is a compact kitchen, with an adjoining useful utility/boot room, a colourful dining room, perfect for both family and romantic meals, and a separate, cosy sitting room, with wood burning stove, invites you to take a seat and relax. Up the stairs (steep and straight) are three beautifully decorated 'boutique' bedrooms (king-size, twin and single), all with super comfy mattresses and quality linen, along with a family bathroom. The king-size master bedroom has the 'wow' factor, is enticing, full of romance and sure to appeal if you are of a romantic persuasion. Cobbler's Cottage is a gem of a Norfolk hideaway, perfect for couples, friends or a small family. Ideal for both short and longer breaks around the year, it is a great base from which to explore the many delights of North Norfolk, both coastal and rural. Ground Floor: Sitting room With comfortable Conran seating, wood burning stove, retro “G Plan“ coffee table, Smart television with firestick, CD player with Bluetooth facility. Dining room With table and five chairs, decorative fireplace. Kitchen Well-equipped with Samsung electric oven, hob, slimline dishwasher and microwave. Side entrance porch/utility room With fridge/freezer and washing machine. This is a self contained cottage in the rear of our garden. The interior is very light and airy. It has its own access with off road parking at the back. There is also a small private garden area for use of guests.
The cottage is spacious, very light and tastefully furnished with original artworks by friends and ourselves on the walls. There is T.V, DVD player and radio in the living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, electric cooker, microwave oven, washing machine and dryer. The main bedroom has french windows opening to the patio area in the private garden. There is off road parking to the rear of the property.
We are in the centre of the village which has a Co- op store, an excellent butchers, it's own bakery and a local fisherman selling fresh seafood and fish, all within walking distance. The village playing field with children's play area is close by. There are many lovely walks in the village area. There are two pubs within the village.
  • Perfect cosy cottage for a stay in the heart of the village which has been beautifully designed & ideal for an escape to the countryside.

  • Cosy, comfortable, eclectic cottage, handy for Holt and other scenic places on North Norfolk Coast. Lovely hosts.

  • We only stayed a short time in Tony's place but it was very cosy and comfortable. It was in a great location for visiting North Norfolk and had everything we needed for our stay. Tony was a great host, very accommodating and their home is full of character.

  • Quirky and cosy cottage with bags of character and home from home comforts. Great location for exploring and good amenities close by.

  • Enjoyed a return visit to this lovely hideaway. Very peaceful location and all the necessary amenities both within the accommodation and in the village. Christine and Tony are great hosts there when you need them. An eclectic bungalow filled with art work and interesting artefacts. Lovely sunny outside area to have breakfast. Fabulous bakery/butchers and grocers in walking distance and a nice small town - Holt worth a visit close by. Ventured to Southwold in Suffolk which is a quintessential Victorian seaside resort - with beach huts. Tony really helped out directing us to local hostelries and places of interest to visit. Well certainly return.

  • We loved at our stay at stylish, homely and very comfortable Crow Cottage. We particularly appreciated the extremely comfortable beds and big thick towels. A very nice place.

  • A lovely cottage in a great location, perfect for the seaside. Communication was really good and all we needed was at hand. It's child-friendly too so I would highly recommend it to others.

Early check in. Late check out. My place is close to the wonderful North Norfolk Coast. It is a lovely, airy modern apartment in the beautiful, historic Georgian market town of Holt which is brimming with interesting and eclectic shops and eateries. It is within 5 miles of the sea. The apartment is perfect for solo adventurers and couples but can also accommodate a third person as there is a sofa bed in the lounge. Furry friends (pets) welcome as there is access to a garden and private deck.
A light, modern apartment which is entirely self-contained with its own front door. The large lounge leads on to a fully equipped modern kitchen. The shower room is located in the large double bedroom and any third guest would need to appreciate this. The garden is south facing and very well maintained. Perfect for pets and their owners who enjoy the sun.
A unique apartment, in a quiet setting, but within minutes of the town centre. It can be used as a perfect base from which to explore and enjoy this outstanding part of the country with its breath-taking coastline and stunning sandy beaches, as well as the opportunities to have fun closer to home by discovering the range of eclectic shops and restaurants that are only minutes away
  • Cosy, stylish, welcoming and, five minutes from the hub of Holt, great host too! If only all stays were so well thought out....

  • This is such a beautiful place to stay. It’s inviting, warm and has everything you’d need. The centre of Holt is only a few minutes away and there are lovely places to visit along the coast too. Jane is a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble, we’ll be back soon.

  • Wonderful stay with a fabulous host. The Flat is impeccable and the garden a real delight. The place was spotlessly clean and we were warmly greeted by Jane with lovely additional touches like bread, milk, eggs , jam and croissants and chewy treats for our dog. Close to town yet in a quiet space , what more could you ask for . We would highly recommend Tracey, Paul and Wilfred

  • Fabulous artistic space to chill and explore North Norfolk - Jane is a star!

  • A great place to stay in Holt. There is plenty of space for two with a large kitchen and big living room which opens out onto a deck area and garden. The house is full of individual and 'quirky' little design features which make it fun and unique. There is a good selection of books, DVDs and CDs if you need some entertainment on a rainy day. Or its a 10 minute walk into town for a bit of shopping, a coffee and cake or a meal. There was a fresh loaf of bread, butter, jam and milk waiting for us and plenty of tea and coffee - which means you can move in and start to relax straight away. Definitely recommended.
