  • Perfect winter family getaway spot! My husband and I stayed with 10 family members for three nights over the winter holidays. The location of the cottage is stunning - it is set right on the lake and, although there are a few other cottages around, our spot felt private and secluded. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck very much, especially when the stars were out at night. The property is stocked with pretty much anything you could possibly need (kitchen appliances, electronic cords, games, tones of bedding, paper products, coffee and much more). Since there were several married couples we appreciated the separate bedrooms and loft space in the guest building. The only thing we didn’t like was that there is only one bathroom which is located in the main cottage building, which made night time bathroom trips a little inconvenient in the winter. There was bird seed provided and we enjoyed feeding the blue jays and squirrel. The area roads and laneways are great for scenic walks. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy family getaway spot in rural Quebec.

  • Elaine was exceptional; the cottage was warm and clean. It had everything you could possibly need for a Weekend Getaway; we didn't even need pots and pans or firewood! She welcomed us with some wine when we got in. The cottage was beautiful, the view was gorgeous and definitely was above expectations! We went for a team-retreat and everyone loved the activities the cottage had to offer (canoe, paddle board, fishing, kayak, CAMP FIRE, hot tub, treehouse, hammock and more.) We went in the first weekend October and the weather was in our favour the entire time. The cottage was very spacious (we were 11 but it is more than enough room for 15-20 people)! The lake was also not very busy this time of year so the area was very private. There is a zip-lining/tree top obstacle across a waterfall at Chutes Coulonge which was 45-50mins away that I would recommend checking out as well!

  • We had a fantastic week at Elaine's. Her cottage is spacious and clean and had everything you could possibly want such as fishing poles, boats, and nets for the kids. Our 6 kids spent hours catching frogs in the frog pond and swimming in the shallow sandy beach area. This is a fantastic place for families, where children can be children and adults can sit back and watch them. We are definately coming back!

  • A great long weekend away. Host was great to communicate before hand around any questions. The place was nice, well stocked, totally more than what we expected and had everything we needed. Cottage was clean. Though we never met the host in person she was very welcoming through communications and with a nice greeting when we arrived. Would recommend to all.

  • This was a beautiful romantic winter getaway with my girlfriend. I enjoyed caring for the wood stove, splitting wood and exploring the area by snow shoe. Disconnecting from the outside world and connecting with my girlfriend was therapeutic. The cabin is rustic with a modern design touch. It was very clean and included everything needed in the kitchen. There were many lighting options such spotlights, lanterns(many extra batteries) and candles. The wood stove kept us nice and toasty even with -15C temperatures at night. The property is great for some exploration and beautiful scenery. The host was helpful and communicated well.

  • Great stay at Donnas cottage. The space was very clean and well kept. The cottage neighbours the owners house, but there is enough privacy. All essentials are available (coffee machine, plates, mugs, mini fridge, etc.). Firewood was available for $5 which included fire starters and kindling. Would recommend to a friend.

    Matthew2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Donna was an easy host with a smooth check-in process. Finding the cottage was simple (once we put in the right address!) and is along the Ottawa river. We rented the entire cottage, both sides, for a group of 5. Pro's: Clean, has everything you need to enjoy the outdoors (BBQ, pedalo, private deck, lawn chairs, picnic tables, fire pit), good value. Donna interacted with us when we wanted to (i.e. help with the fire!) Con's: Quite small with the only indoor living space being the kitchen/dining room, the fridges (one on each side) are also small and as mentioned, only a hot plates but none on the bachelor-side. Not very secluded.

The home sits on the hill overlooking the Ottawa river. (Sitting on its front porch, you can almost imagine Samuel de Champlain coming down the river.) The house was built in 1874 by the founder of the town, Colonel Campbell of the Scottish Regiment. Located on a 1.5 acre lot, there is a magnificient view of the river. In front of the house runs the 92 km Cycloparc PPJ (this built on the track of the old Pontiac Pacific Junction Railway)
The Campbell House is a renovated heritage home. It has only had two owners: Colonel Campbell who built it in 1874 and then our family who acquired it in 1942. There are so many stories of growing up there, and as hostess, I will share those stories if interested
Campbell's Bay is a small town on the banks of one of Canda's heritage rivers, the Ottawa River. The town has a boat launch and warf area where people can enjoy a warm sunny afternoon. As noted above, the Cycloparc runs through the town. The Campbell House makes a perfect stop for cyclists, walking pilgrims, and all who just enjoy the outdoors. In winter the path becomes a route for snowmobilers.

Clarendon Point is in part owned by the Nature Conservancy of Canada. There are several rare or endangered species who inhabit the area such as the Blandings Turtle, the Canada Warbler, and the Butternut, which are protected by the conservancy. The lush wilderness of the area makes for lovely and interesting walks/hikes, and there is nothing more enjoyable than kicking back in such a gorgeous setting! Outside of Clarendon, there is lots to do in the area including hiking, biking, glam camping, and whitewater rafting! In the winter there is snow shoeing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, skating, etc. See the list of nearby locations below. Logos Land: A family summer resort featuring water slides, zip lining, camping, pedal boats, water trampolines, horse back riding and more. Wild Renfrew: another family friendly resort featuring canoeing, kayaking, standup paddle board (SUP), and more! White Water Rafting: at several nearby locations such as Wilderness tours and Owl Rafting. Bonnechere Caves: Guided tours of the famous Bonnechere Caves, cave story events, bat viewing, fossil hunting, and underground fine dining! Dining options: Our personal favourites include the Whitewater Brewing Company and the Ladysmith Hotel. Both are pubs with delicious menus and both have a unique and welcoming atmosphere! Whitewater Brewing Company known for their great ales while the Ladysmith Hotel is know for their fab wings!! There are plenty of other great dining options located in Renfrew and Shawville as well! Oh last but not least, you're local convenience store and casse croute/chipstand are located just 5 min. from the chalet. Here you can pick up any of the usual neccesities, including the cheapest beer in the Outaouais! The chip stand is Jack's and they do take out as well!
  • This was just heaven. Beautiful home with so .much attention to detail. Tracy was a great host. The water was visible from every room and so many places to sit and relax . It was just what we needed!

  • Tracy's place was awesome in every way. We stayed over with just 2 people but there were a ton of beds so you can have a huge amount of people. The pictures don't do justice to the size of Tracy's place. The kitchen is up-to-date and well stocked with everything you need, the games in the basement are fantastic. Master bedroom was very comfortable with the fireplace and the en-suite was great too. All in all, would recommend.

  • Our group of friends celebrated Thanksgiving at Tracy's beautiful cottage. The space was clean and spacious, perfect for our group. We had a young child and dog with us and the space was very accommodating for both. The games room in the basement offered hours of enjoyment! The riverfront is also wonderful and we enjoyed spending time outdoors by the water and by the firepit. Tracy was more than accommodating, providing us with some little extra touches that made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend.

  • Tom was a super host, who made sure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. The stay was very indeed very peaceful and refreshing. Would stay there again.

  • What a gem! Beautiful spot in paradise. A really great experience and the cabin is really neat. Clean, comfy with all the tools you might need. Toms a great people person. wonderful to get to know him. Bring an instrument if you're musical!

    Jessica2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Tom's shack for the weekend. It's a calm place and really rustic as expected. The scenary is great and the place was tidy and well equiped. Tom met us on the day of our arrival to see if everything was fine. However, a few notes concerning the spot: A new AirBnB is now next to the shack thus making this place not so private and quiet; we could hear our neighbors talking. The shack is not sealed, meaning it's full of cracks therefore you'll have a ton of mosquitos inside The outhouse is fairly far. If you need to go during the night, it may be tricky Also there was 4 wasp nests inside the shack. Overall it's a good spot but it's not as private as we expected. Also, we brought our dogs during our stay but the neighbor's dog and Tom's dog came to our spot a few time thus making our dogs bark a lot. If you're looking for a secluded spot with a good view and to relax next to a campfire, it's the perfect spot.

    Joel2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Solid weekend destination for anyone in Ottawa and the valley area. Power is via single solar panel but solid wifi, canoe, and little fire area make it worth while. Propane and firewood was provided and the hosts were super nice. Comfy king bed. Only con was the mosquitos finding their way in as the doors aren't true. Games and radio would be a nice touch — fortunately we brought our own.

    Warren2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Tom's cabin for two days and the only negative thing I can say was that it wasn't long enough! Tom is a really friendly guy with an amazing space! Thanks for sharing it with us, we wanted to move in! We will be back!

I run an organic farming operation that includes vegetables and I make maple syrup each spring. You are welcome to visit the garden or the sugarbush at Zero Carbon Garden as part of your stay. I am always looking for volunteers to help around the farm too. I stay in a small cabin nearby in case there is any questions about living in the solar-powered house. There is a manual but sometimes folks aren't used to living off the grid. It is a great feeling. I have been doing it for 20 years and each day the sun shines I am grinning with joy! So will you as you learn to manage your energy needs and learn to live more simply.
There aren't many people who live nearby. My closest neighbors are across the river in Ontario which is about 2 miles away. I sometimes rent out the old boat house but that is across the bay and is itself as private as this house.

  • Natasha's place was an absolute pleasure to stay at and she is a pleasure to work with! Very easy check in and out. My boyfriend and I were in town for a wedding and we wished we could have spent more time at the cabin! The water having minerals in it could turn some people off but wasn't a problem for us as we didn't cook or spend that much time in the kitchen and are not very high maintenance people. The view and the decor is so cute. We even saw a Black bear with her babies driving back to the cabin from town! We would absolutely return to Natasha's place!

  • Nice place on a small lake. Peaceful and beautiful!

  • Natasha's cottage is an amazing escape from city life. First, she was extremely quick at responding to messages. The cottage is located about 10 minutes from Shawville and is on a beautiful lake. I highly recommend taking the canoe out for a paddle. Additionally the decor is very modern and clean, and comes with all the appliances and tools you would want. There's a large fire pit with chairs that is ideal for roasting marshmallows and relaxing. There is also a nice BBQ. Overall great value and highly recommend.

    Justin2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and modern cottage by the lake. Perfect place to take some time off and enjoy the nature. The water is loaded with heavy elements so showering and dishes can be a intimidating. Thanks again!

Hi, This listing is now moved to Transcendental Cottage Riverboat under Tom Towle because I have moved to the city. This listing will still be active so you can enjoy the reviews but you must book at Tom's site. Tom is my dad and lives on the property so it makes more sense for him to list it as he is a great host (check out the Peaceful Cabin and Solar Powered Cottage for all the great reviews). It has been fun creating and hosting the Transcendental Cottage but it is time that I focused more on my city Airbnb. This site is now blocked for futrure bookings after September 3 2017 but will remain here so folks can read reviews of the space. But you can book at the Transcendental Cottage Riverboat listing, Nothing has changed, well actually a lot of the pictures and space have improved with the addition of a loft space and more updated photos. It has been a blast and drop me a line if you need more info. Amy ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Enjoy a rustic off-the-grid solar powered 48 foot house boat converted to a cottage Take our canoe for a paddle on the lovely river, grill on the outdoor firepit and gaze at a zillion stars in the clear night sky. Let the the rustic beauty of our bay with waves lapping at the sandy beach and tree lined shoreline relax and rejuvenate you and your loved ones. Sunrises and sunsets on the river are gorgeous! Pets *(dogs* only)- $12.00 per day payment arranged before arrival only.A 48 ft off the grid houseboat converted to a cozy cottage! And on the Ottawa River by a serene and peaceful secluded bay. Sleeps 2-4 people. You’ll love my place because of the views, the location, and the ambiance. Good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). Pets: dogs are allowed but you must talk to me about them first and you must arrange for payment before you arrive as AirBnb does't have a feature to allow payment for pets yet. Good dogs are allowed but must have a leash if needed and of course you must clean up any doogy doodoo and please keep them off the furniture. Each dog is $12 a day We have basic cooking/grilling equipment, firewood supplied but you cut. Access to canoe, kayak, paddle boat, a little sandy beach, a fire pit, picnic table, solar lighting, two burner propane stove, sink with washing water. We recommend bringing your preferred drinking water. There is a cooler provided for your refrigerated items. Private outdoor composting toilet is exclusive to the houseboat and inside has a change/powder room. Visit the organic gardening operation on the property or just take a hike or paddle on the river. I am at the property on the weekends with my 2.5 year old son Liam as I work in the city during the week, but my parents are there to host. Tom, my dad lives on the property and is the gardener who runs Zero Carbon Garden which is dedicated to growing organic vegetables for local consumption. Karen my mom is there often too and both love to talk if you have the time but they are very busy so sometimes you might to talk to them while they weed or do many of the things that need doing around the farm. If you wish to lend a hand that would be nice and I am sure you will get a nice taste of the garden and some flowers! Note: Dogs = each $10.00 per day Text before hand please My dad also makes amazing maple syrup at our sugar bush and if you are there in the spring you can taste the syrup right off the pan! He has syrup and vegetables for sale often at the farmer's markets in the area. The Pontiac region is huge untamed and wonderful. Biking, hiking, white water rafting and just enjoying the pristine countryside. Our laneway is very long so don't be discouraged by it. It is worth the drive. We now have local artist Ruby Ewen showing her paintings in our places. emotional feel of her subject matter.
There are a couple of stores that provide ice, beer and food: one is Johanne's ValuMart in Shawville PQ and the other is Henderson's store in Norway Bay. Both places carry our vegetables and maple syrup. In the summer my dad has a vegetable cart at the side of the road across from the barn where you pay on the honor system.
  • It's a very quiet, peaceful and unique place.

    Sergey2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't be happier with our stay! The host met us there and gave us a quick tour and only popped in quickly on our 2nd day to make sure we had everything we needed. He also gave us a complimentary bottle of homemade maple syrup. Perfect location on the water, access to canoes and a kayak 24/7. The house boat is actually very cozy, no running water though. BUT there's a store only 5 mins away with plenty of water, food, etc... Little beach with a firepit and endless wood available. Honestly, couldn't be happier with our stay here, will definitely be back (:

    Mantis2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for a lovely stay in your houseboat. Perfect view, nice calm evening by the fire and relaxing walks in the nearby areas. Thank you Tom for playing your guitar for us and both you and Karen for beeing exceptional hosts.

  • Had a wonderful stay at the house boat. The host were really nice, the weather was beautiful and we had a lot of fun. We highly recommend staying here with Amy. The place is really wonderful and quiet.

  • My friends and I had a great time in the houseboat. It is a wonderfull location and Tom and Amy were perfect hosts, thanks again!

    Johana2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great. Went with da wife and da kid for da getaway. Shallow water with shade. Private beach area. Access to boat and canoes. No neighbours. Organic farm to get my produce from. Only thing that would have made it better was a longer stay...alas the real world came calling...

    Scott2016-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • My son and I spent three night at Amy's houseboat and we loved it. It was just as pictured. The boat was cozy with lots of personality. We sat around the fire and listened to the geese cackle overhead as they flew across the river. We didn't get to meet Amy but her dad Tom was an amazing, generous host. A highlight of our stay was dinner and music with Tom and his friend Aaron. The supplies available in Shawville are basic. Talk to Tom if you want fresh veg, we found a farm stand that had great eggs, honey and even some grassfed beef, plus Tom makes his own maple syrup. We will definitely back.

    Leslie 2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The houseboat was a wonderful home for a our week stay. Lots of privacy, comfy beds and the hosts are very accommodating. Visits from the resident farm dog was a wonderful perk. The calm river offered excellent canoeing and fishing and the nearby towns had everything you can ask for. Looking forward to a future visit!

It is a large, open, nicely decorated space. It is very comfortable with all the comforts of home. I also have room for a couple more, with mattresses on the floor. This can be discussed.
My neighbourhood is a very rural area, right next to the river. The scenery is beautiful and the area is quiet.
  • Joan's apartment was perfect for us this week. It is very nicely decorated and comfortable, and well stocked with everything you need to make it a vacation home. Joan and her husband were gracious hosts, and their store and gas station on the ground floor were super convenient! Comfortable beds and couches, washer and dryer, fans and a/c, oven and grill, dishes and spices, towels and extra blankets - it's all here. From the back deck we had a nice view of the Ottawa River, and as whitewater paddlers, we appreciated the close access to this world class resource. Highest recommendation!

    Chuck2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • There is nothing negative to say about our experience at Lacroix Bay Lodging. We were welcomed in a very friendly way by Joan and her husband. The appartment is very spacious, clean and comfy and gave us a real "home-away-from-home" feeling. The added bonus of some kitchen supplies such a fresh eggs, milk, english muffins was great. The location is ideal if you like a qiuet, peaceful place in nature away from the noise of traffic and the city. There is only thing that could have ben better, and that was the weather... but even with the not so great weather, we enjoyed our stay at Joan's place a lot!

    Davy2016-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Joan's place was the perfect home away from home! The neighbourhood was nice, quiet and in a perfect location for us to meet family members in the surrounding towns. We would absolutely stay again and will recommend this place to other family in the future. Joan went over and above to make sure our family was comfortable!

  • My family had a wonderful stay at Joan's place! Highly recommend staying here!

    Yiqi2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful, spacious, clean and well decorated place. It beat all expectations as we walked in! Joan has thought of every detail. She had eggs, fruit, milk, cheese, English muffins and more waiting for us! The place and the neighborhood are quiet and very peaceful. The view is wonderful as well, and the water is within walking distance. We stayed for a whole week, and will be returning next week for another day, we loved it so much! Having the general store downstairs was a nice plus. It was also great coming "home" from paddling all day to a delicious ice cream cone. On the evenings that we were too tired to go out, it was nice to enjoy the Netflix account that Joan makes available for her guests. We will be coming back next year for sure!

    Maria and Jim2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • The house is kept beautifully with all the amenities. The hostess has taken care of each and every petty detail. It's a very beautiful house. The only problem we had was the water there. Rest is good.

    neha2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is an excellent airbnb. We had never visited this area and were there to visit my niece who was teaching at the Ottawa kayak school for the summer. This airbnb was in a great location for us and we were very comfortable there. Highly recommend!

  • Absolutely amazing!!! Such a beautiful location, lovely and quiet, dark enough to have a fantastic view of the nights sky. Josh and Seryca were great hosts, friendly greeting when we arrived (also a friendly greeting from Willow and Hershey!!) and an absolutely gorgeous breakfast. There was also a gas heater in the cabin to help stave off the cold at night. Cannot fault this place, thank you Josh and Seryca.

  • What a lovely spot! My girlfriend and I had a nice visit here after a day of mountain biking. The location was beautiful with a nice big firepit and cute little pond behind the cabin. The cabin was the perfect size and the lack of any humming noises from being off-grid was awesome. We had a lovely breakfast with the 3 dogs that joined us. Would definitely recommend this place for a nice getaway from the noisy city.

  • I stayed at Andi's place for two nights with three other people. We came to the area to go white water rafting which was about a 20 min drive from Andi's place. Her and her husband were away for the weekend so we had the place to ourselves. The house is situated in a farm area, so it is great if you want to get away from the city. It is quiet and the view of farm fields as far as your eyes can see is beautiful. It was a great relaxing weekend. The bedrooms were clean with fresh sheets and towels provided. The main bathroom was newly renovated. Andi and her husband live in the house, so there were toiletries in the bathroom which she generously told us we could us. The kitchen was also well stocked, and again Andi was kind enough to tell us to help ourselves to whatever we wanted. We bought our own groceries but did use a few things like spices, milk, butter etc. and it was nice not to have to bring all of that with us. The kitchen has pots and pans, plates, utensils etc., all the things you would need to cook. There is a garden in the front with parsley, tomatoes, lettuce etc. and we were invited to take what we wanted. Andi also made us a delicious pork chop dinner and left it in the fridge for us, which was a nice perk. There is a fire pit outside with lots of seating, but sadly we could not use it as it rained both nights. There are two cats who are very friendly and it was fun to have them around. There is no tv but there is a chromecast and internet so you can stream Netflix. There is a pond about 1km away. It would be a bit of a walk. We drove to it and there is a clearing to park at least 2 cars. There is a dock with seating for two, and a small boat, which all 4 of us fit in. It was a nice addition to be able to paddle around the pond. The house is older and in the midst of renovations but it is nicely decorated and comfortable. As we were leaving, Andi and her husband were just arriving home. Both were very friendly and sweet. Overall it was a great weekend.

  • Great place in the country. The home is spacious, as is the yard, and very comfortable and clean. The owner was easy to communicate with and included the use of things such as toiletries, a boat ( there is a little lake at the back) and firepit, and left us a nice plate of cheese and crackers. We had wonderful stay!

    Cindy2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Andi's Farmhouse is the most ideal city-escape. Located in such a beautiful part of Horton, with almost no neighbours, off the beaten track, so quiet and peaceful it makes for the perfect getaway to unplug and unwind. The House itself is gorgeous with it's wrap around porch, beautiful furniture and finishings and plenty of space indoors and out. Andi even left the kitchen fully stocked for us which was perfect since we were going rafting in the morning so we were able to have a nice breakfast before we hit the Ottawa River. The bedrooms are all gorgeous and having two full bathrooms was perfect since there were 5 of us. This house can easily fit 6-8 ppl without feeling cramped. It was cozy and delightful - especially Andi's cats who came by to say hello and Reese especially wanted all the cuddles - all the time which was adorable. We will definitely be returning again - hopefully this summer/fall and again next year. We fell in love with the house and the surrounding countryside and are pining to come back again soon.

  • In short, the small off the grid cabin is a fantastic experience and the host are great! I strongly recommend this place if you are looking for a calm, relaxing time with friends or family. The cabin is on the very edge of a forest, overseeing a beautiful hay field. The cabin fit 3 of us very comfortably and could most likely fit up to 5. The cabin is about 2-3 minute walk from the host's house. It makes for a very short walk to the bathroom (since the cabin does not have water or electricity). We were able to pitch some tents in front of the cabin. It was great for a little camping trip with friends but it would also suit a couple who want to spend a weekend off the grid. It was great to star gaze and spend some time with friends in the woods. The host, Cathy and her husband Walker, exceeded all expectations; they were friendly and fun to be around. They provided us with some extra jackets in case we got cold, they gave us some candles for the evening and made us coffee in the morning! They offered us their bathrooms, which includes a shower, and made sure that we knew our way around the farm land. The host were very accommodating and replied to our requests almost instantly. More information: - Our phones still worked - The BBQ is available (most likely double check with the host before) - There is no river or lake nearby to swim

  • Cathy was eager to show us the lay of the land, and quickly made us feel welcome. I was concerned with having to use the bathroom in the 'main' house, but there was an outdoor toilet at the cabin that the kids got a kick out of. There were many lanterns and candles for light. The beds were really comfy, and all linens fresh, like new. Cathy put together welcome bags for our two kids (aged 5 and 7) - they were thrilled and quickly occupied with the age appropriate and thoughtful contents. The kids ran in the field, and biked happily around the farm. It was a really nice break from reality. We will likely make it an annual stay! Thanks again Cathy! The Hamblys 4

  • Both the log house and the cabin are beautiful. Cathy and Walker warmly welcomed us and also proposed to stay in the house if the cabin wasn't comfortable enough. The cabin is 2-3 minutes away from the house, in the woods, nestled between a rocky headland and a huge field, extremely quiet. Oil lamps and candles give a nice atmosphere. The cabin is fully equipped. One can use the bathrooms of the house and aou portable toilet near the cabin (you'll never find anywhere else such a view while on the throne...). We had a great stay, thanks again!

  • Cathy and Walker were the consummate hosts for my girlfriend and I this past weekend. Cathy gave us a full tour of the property and welcomed us to use the main house bathroom facilities even though we were only staying at the cabin. She went above and beyond in her hospitality while also respecting our privacy and letting us do our own thing. The grounds are beautiful and the farm animals nearby were a delight to see. Thanks Cathy! Can't wait to come back soon!

Don’t know where Norway Bay, Quebec is? One hour west of Ottawa, Ontario on the Ottawa River. This cottage is located minutes to the sandy/shallow beach on Murray Hill. Roads are well maintained all year around, with good access to fishing winter and summer. Swimming/sports programs, a 9-hole golf course (15 mins away) and boating available in the summer months. Cross country skiing in the winter. Enjoy it all in this exceptionally well renovated four seasons home.
The cottage is a cozy 3 bedroom bungalow with a renovated kitchen. It has an open living room, dining room and kitchen. There are two doors, a main door and one off of the kitchen to the side yard. Gusts have access to the entire space.
Norway Bay has a convenience store called Henderson Groceries. It is located a 5 min drive away at 28 Wharf road. It is open 7 days/week, 8am-6pm. If you need to do a more substantial grocery - the closest place to find everything is Shawville, QC. It is a 15 min drive away. There is a Giant Tiger, grocery store, gas station, bakery and other stores. Pine lodge is a 9-hole golf course located about 10mins away. They also have a restaurant, with tasty brunch on the weekends. Norway Bay is a friendly community of primarily English speakers. Most residences are used as cottages, only some as permanent. The summers are usually busy with activity. Winters are more quiet with less people around.

  • This winterized three bedroom cottage situated on the north side of the Ottawa River is comfortable secure and private hide-away. Quyon ferry access from Fitzroy Harbour offers a beautiful view up and down the river. I would recommend this location to every adventurer.
