“Being from Arizona, I know my Mexican food! Lloyd's is all locally sourced, the menu is simple yet DELICIOUS. A very nice, creative take on basic taco's. Everything on the menu is incredible and unique. Caters to gluten free as well. Don't forget to look for one of their many "trucks", which are all over Buffalo on a daily basis. ”

“2 blocks to the right of the heart of Hertel. Romeo and Juliet’s Café brings the culture and exquisite tastes of Italy to Buffalo. They offer a variety of freshly baked goods, such as Italian cookies, cannoli, pizza, focaccia panini, breads, wine, and much much more! You will find heart healthy choices as well as special entrees, which change daily. In addition, you may order Italian antipasto, salads, soups, pizza, panini, and do not forget to leave room for dolci (dessert)! Whether you want to eat in their intimate Café inspired dinning room or take out to have at home, we assure you that you will not be disappointed. ”

“Lake Effect Diner, in a 60's style diner, but with an updated twist. The cure and smoke their own meats. Everything on the menu is fantastic. Especially if it has any of the meats, and the griddled mac n cheese.”

“One of our favorite breakfast places (rumored to have been voted best breakfast in Buffalo). A visit is like traveling back in time. This cash only restaurant, which says a lot right there, provides an authentic 1950’s diner experience. Complete with black and white tile floors, swivel stools for seating at the counter, and little booths (red seats of course), it’s like visiting a by-gone era. Tiny but packed with character and characters. Traditional breakfast, eggs, waffles and gigantic pancakes, with healthy options for those so inclined. Time-honored diner fare available for lunch as well. Open only for breakfast and lunch, with limited hours you better be good and they are! Sometimes there’s a line, they have their fans, but if your looking for great value it’s worth the wait. If you can get it, grab the table at the front of the diner. It provides a window view onto Hertel Ave. on one side, and the complete diner on the other. ”
