United Kingdom Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Burley in Wharfedale

We are a small family living in the house with our baby and a dog Laika. And we are offering a cosy single room situated in the basement of the house, but very clean and next to the small bathroom. Where you can have lot of privacy because we don't usually use that bathroom.
A cozy single room with wifi situated in the basement of the house, with a small bathroom just next to the room, so you can have lot of privacy. The room has a small desk where you can use to work or study, and a small wardrobe to leave all your stuff there. Also you can find a kettle with coffee and tea for morning breakfast.
The house is situated in Burley, a family and lovely place, where you can find lot of supermarkets and restaurants very near, also fast food like mac donald and KFC. Cardigan fields is just 5 mins away to the house and there you can find the cinemas, jumping arena, bowling... To the city centre you can take a bus just in the corner of the street and arrive in just 7mins. Also you can go walking but is around 20-30mins.

  • It was a short experience since I stayed one night but enough to notice almost everything was great. The only problem I could notice (but can be fixed quickly) was the head shower, the length of use was reduced but you can still use it. Tall people will have to bend a little to wash their hair though. However it does not had an impact on the journey and I highly recommend it

  • Penny has a charming house and garden in a fabulous location. She is a caring and friendly host and very knowledgeable about the area. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying with her.

    Julie2017-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Penny has a beautiful home in Otley and shared it generously with us. She made us feel very welcome and 'at home' with hot drinks, breakfasts etc and also gave us lots of useful information about the area. The house is 'back to front' in that you enter via the back, which is where the road is, but, once inside, you can spend some time in the front sitting room and gaze out on a lovely garden with a wonderful view.

    Ruth2017-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Penny was a brilliant, welcoming host. Her house is lovely with beautiful views. Although we only had a quick drive through the village we didn't realise how nice and quaint Otley is. We'd recommend anyone to visit and to stay at Penny's.

    Ashley2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed with a lot of Airbnb hosts and I think Penny might be the very best, because of her genuine kindness. I felt welcomed as a friend, and enjoyed chatting with her and her nephew who was visiting at the time, although I was unwell and unable to talk very much. Penny allowed me to stay later after my check out time which was very helpful as I had to sleep a lot, and she provided a lovely breakfast even though I have very tricky dietary requirements! The house itself is beautiful, and she is not kidding about those views. It's very clean, the bathroom is great, and the bed is comfy. I hope Penny will have lots of wonderful Airbnb experiences! All the very best.

  • We stayed at Penny's for a night in Sept 2017. The house is in a quaint little Otley. Her's is a tastefully furnished house with a beautiful view. Penny is very hospitable and warm. She took care to make us comfortable. The breakfast was continental enough for us with her lovely home baked bread. We would highly recommend to stay at her B&B. Thanks Penny you were awesome !!

The location was good, within walking distance of the village including pubs and restaurants, and only a 10 minute drive to Ilkley. The room was very well equipped and had an excellent shower room. Breakfasts were spectacular. We can't recommend this accommodation too highly, Linda and Colin were the perfect hosts.

  • What a great stay with wonderful people! Linda and Collin were perfect hosts. Nothing was a bother and everything is thought of and taken care of. My friend is gluten and lactose intolerant and Linda went to the trouble of providing her with a full gluten free breakfast and a gluten free chocolate upon arrival as a treat! The room is lovely, clean and private. The ensuite is fantastic and the water pressure is heavenly. We would recommend this property to anyone... Thank you for sharing your home with us :))

  • We were made very welcome indeed. we ended up borrowing a guide to the Dales Way for our walk which we agreed to send back when we had finished. Linda was obviously someone who enjoyed doing airbnb and talking to her guests. Great breakfast.

  • Linda and Colin were the perfect hosts and couldn't be more welcoming for our stay in their lovely home. They were very helpful and gave great advice about the local area. Our room was faultless which had nice little touches all around. We had a lovely stay, albeit short, and would definitely return to stay if visiting the area again. I would return for Linda's breakfast alone!

  • Wow! Greeted by a Penny who kindly helped my daughter and me with luggage, presented with a bottle of wine, organic milk, yoghurt and meusili and even scrummy popcorn. The newly laid carpet bounced under our feet, the immaculate white kitchen was a joy to work and sit. The lounge area is so comfortable with its padded cushions, comfy woolly blanket and side table, it was difficult to tear ourselves away and go sightseeing. The comfy Queen sized bed with its crisp white cotton sheets and duvet provided an excellent night's sleep at the end of of a hard days sightseeing. Penny, a wonderful hostess has thought of everything; magazines, games, books, TV and little touches like soaps, body gels, gleaming white cotton towels....we were sad that we had no tine to enjoy the cosy windowed dining room. Given an opportunity, we'll definitely be back!

  • Great location and beautiful apartment . Spotless and very comfortable .

    Deborah2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful! I adored staying in Pennys apartment! I loved the personal touches, fresh flowers, a wee card and freshly baked cookies!! The decor is beautiful and it is so well appointed, everything was immaculate the linen was wonderfully crisp the towels were soft and fluffy and the bath- WOW!! Parking was not a problem with plenty of availability and the location is superb, you are minutes away from town! It is great to visit a town with all my favourite shops on one street and to have such an incredible choice of restaurants and cafes. It seemed a shame to leave the apartment so we used 'just eat' to order from Jamies Italian, dinner in the octagonal turret made me feel like a princess!! I would highly recommend staying here! I know we will be back!! Many thanks Penny for your kindness and hospitality. j&a x

  • Really stylish flat which is decorated to a very high standard, in the heart of Harrogate - a lovely place to completely relax. Penny is a great host who added lots of lovely little touches to the flat to make it extra special and recommended plenty of places to eat and drink locally which was really helpful. Highly recommend and just wish we'd stayed longer!

  • What a lovely clean fresh apt. Anyone staying here will be spoilt by its location right opposite Valley Gardens. And only a 2 minute walk to the shops and famous Brett's. don't let the stairs put you off the exercise will do you good and the views are lovely.

  • Perfection I am amazed with how wonderful this apartment is and it's location. Penny is thee best hostess! Communication with from the start was great, so welcoming. Penny's personal touch of a Betty's Fat Rascal (my favourite) just blew me away. The apartment is beautifully decorated. So clean. Gorgeous bath products. Super comfy bed with wonderful bed linen. The attention to detail is none other! Location is fab, only 2 mins walk and you're in the centre of Harrogate. There's is nothing that I can fault about this apartment. It was a little piece of perfection in Harrogate. I recommend staying here and will definitely return.

  • Probably the best or one of the best apartments I have stayed in for airbnb. Spotless, modern, cozy, and as though it was built/renovated last week. Quality linen and towels were the icing ok the cake.

Lower ground floor flat for one, under our family home. Quiet residential street of large Victorian homes. Unrestricted parking (except not directly outside our gate please!). Close to amenities and the centre of Harrogate, Valley Gardens, the Stray, shops, restaurants, Harrogate International Conference Centre….
This is a self-contained flat for one with your own bedroom, kitchen, shower room and porch. Please bring your own food and drink for meals. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a washing machine. The flat has a seperate entrance door so you will be free to come and go as you please during your visit.
Many people already have a favourable impression of Harrogate. They are right :) We think we live in a great spot - quiet yet close to the town centre and the train station, to the famous Stray and delightful Valley Gardens. Our little patch has a characterful mix of housing and occupants.
  • I really enjoyed my stay here. It is CLEAN, which is a delight! And well maintained. The owners are friendly and easy to communicate with. It is within easy walking distance of Harrogate and convenience shops, including a Sainsburys Local, chippy and Chinese takeaway. Plenty of parking on the road too. I hope to stay again in the future.

  • Great location and fabulous flat. Would definitely recommend Ruth's place.

    Elise2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a total gem on airbnb! Ruth asks for nothing for what she offers ... Central location , spacious flat , top quality furniture ( fab bed!) complete privacy , fast wifi , a lovely kitchen ... Warm , comfortable and with a more than hospitable and accommodating host . I honestly cannot rate it highly enough - the modest charge is more a reflection of Ruth's generosity . A lovely space XX

    Rachel2015-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful self contained flat. Everything that you could need is there. Great area, walking distance to shops and the centre of town is very close. Really couldn't have asked for any more. Everything was perfect. Will definitely stay again if I am in Harrogate.

    Neill2015-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect. Clean, comfortable and very reasonable. Highly recommended.

    Nick2016-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal low cost place to stay for business trip to Harrogate. I have stayed a couple of times now and it suits my needs perfectly. Ruth is easy to communicate with. Would recommend.

    Sally2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth's place is spacious, great amenities and a fairly short walk from the station. It's a great base to explore Harrogate from. The shower is fab and you've a hob to cook yourself something on. The iron came in very handy for my creased uniform. There's cafes close by to grab breakfast, Betty's is a few minutes from the station. Also a local Sainsburys for the essentials. The Convention Centre is a 20 minute walk away. There's a great Wetherspoons nearby too, fab building. Ruth was friendly and on hand for info. You'll need their great wifi as the flat area gets no mobile signal. If they'd have me I'd definitely stay again :). Cheers Ruth

    Nazir2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Ruth's flat while in the area for work and the whole experience was great. I only briefly met Ruth, but throughout the whole time between booking and staying the communication was excellent. As for the flat, it was exactly as described and shown on photos, well maintained and very clean. As for amenities, everything I needed was there. Even a little heater that came in handy as I was getting up quite early in the mornings and the main heating was not on yet (as would be expected at 6am!). Although I didn't get to see Harrogate much as I was commuting to Wetherby, the flat was very well located in a nice area and conveniently near parks and shops. Overall, I was very pleased and would definitely recommend this accommodation. As I might be visiting the area again, I hope to get to stay there again. Thank you Ruth for helping making my work week very enjoyable!

  • Anthea is a busy mum but took time to make us feel welcome and was happy to answer any questions I had. The place was clean, tidy, secure, amply sized and well equipped - ideal for what we needed. There was a little noise from upstairs but only during the day, so not an issue. Would definitely stay again. It is well located and close to a supermarket.

  • The key was waiting and Anthea had left extra bedding for us as promised. The flat was perfect for our working stay in Harrogate; easy to find, plenty of parking, quiet and cosy. The kitchen was fully equipped, clean and straightforward to use. There was a great shower with plenty of hot water AND a bath! The flat is in easy walking distance of the town. Thanks Anthea for providing us with an ideal, affordable resting place for what was for us a hectic 4 days!

  • Great private apartment. Very comfortable and has everything you need. Perfectly located with an easy walk across the stray into the town centre. Would definitely recommend Antheas place for business or pleasure!

  • The apartment was very clean, the shower/ tub very good, the bed large and comfortable. Despite being a half basement, it was surprisingly bright. Athena kindly allowed an early check in for us to drop our bags. The location was easy walking distance to conference centre, town centre, train station (15 to 20 minutes), and very short walk to grocery store. We were able to prepare our evening meals. Coffee and tea provided and much appreciated. The Internet was a bit iffy the first evening, but Athena was able to help with this. She and Stuart are great hosts, helpful and responsive, living in the main part of the house, yet we had complete privacy. We enjoyed the pitter-patter of feet above us in the evenings! Thank you for a lovely stay! Elizabeth (and Ross)

    Elizabeth2016-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Anthea's place was well positioned - a 10-15 walk from town. As mentioned in the listing, you can definitely hear the kids playing and footsteps from above so if long lie ins are what you're after this might not be the place for you. The place was clean and tidy and overall a nice place to stay.

Our house is close to family-friendly activities, public transport, the train station, the town centre, Leeds airport and nightlife. You’ll love the location as it's 2 minutes walk to coffee houses, Booths supermarket, the Lido and Ilkley moor. We have town and country on our door step.
The rooms both have big windows so offer fantastic views across Ilkley rooftops and the moors. We only let out both rooms to friends or family so you won't be sharing the shower room with anybody else.
Great central location with Ilkley Cinema at the end of the road and the Lido a walk across the river. Good cycling and on the Tour de Yorkshire route. The iconic Cow and Calf rocks can be viewed from the window and the historic White Wells Spa, built in 1703, is a short walk away. The famous Betty's tea rooms are a 5 walk away, selling fab food and drinks.
  • I was made to feel very welcome by Philippa and her husband in their beautiful home. The room and bathroom were exactly as described as well as being spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the room had interesting views over the rooftops. The location is so central that I was able to walk everywhere. I have already recommended the property to friends.

  • Stayed three nights, delighted with the accommodation with a private bathroom. Beautifully decorated house with a wonderful light breakfast that included scrumptious home made preserves and seedy bread. House is in a lovely quiet area within easy access to everything. Hosts were welcoming and check in straight forward. Cannot recommend this B&B highly enough.

  • Phillipa and Rod are delightful hosts. I felt right at home from the moment I walked in and couldn't have asked for a better stay. Phillipa went to so much trouble to offer the perfect bedroom and wonderful breakfast; even though she was dashing out to teach at 7am. Great admiration, and thanks for everything.

    Joanne2017-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about the booking was flawless. Location, communication, quality of the accommodation, breakfast and the hosts were all excellent. Phillipa and her husband were both very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended 10/10 :)

  • I was attending a wedding close to Ilkley for the weekend. Philippa's house was perfectly placed only a few minutes walk from the station. The house is also very close to the town's main roads which are full of awesome coffee shops and restaurants. The room I stayed in was at the top of the house, and was bright and airy with a huge window letting in plenty of light. The bathroom was just next door and I had sole use of it. Philippa and her husband were great hosts and really friendly. I even got dropped off at the wedding venue which was extremely kind and very unexpected! Breakfast in the morning was great with everything I could wish for laid out for me to help myself to. All in all a great trip. Would highly recommend.

The double bedroom is on the 1st floor, right next to the bathroom. There is a corner desk, space for clothes storage, and a really comfy bed. The room is very light and bright in the morning.
This part of Armley is quite leafy and is very close to Gotts Park and the Leeds Liverpool Canal. There are great views into the city and across Airedale to Burley, Headingley, and Kirkstall from Gotts Park. The canal is a great way to stroll into the city centre (50 min walk) along a relative oasis, and also great for getting to Kirkstall (25 min walk) to see Kirkstall Abbey, and grab a drink at the fantastic Kirkstall Bridge Inn.
  • Andy allowed me and my partner to book the room last minute for our stay in Leeds. His prices are extremely reasonable and the room has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The house is very homely with lots of quirky features. In the morning, Andy made us a hot drink before the drive home. We had a very pleasant chat and would highly reccomend him has a host. Thank you very much! :) Lauren and Allan x

Janine was lovely and very easily contactable. The whole procedure was a pleasure. We will definitely return and have already recommended Janine's place to family in the area. Thank you Janine.

  • This was an absolutely gorgeous apartment at the back of a lovely home. It was extremely well decorated with lots of luxurious touches and spotlessly clean. The kitchenette was excellent for making breakfast a heating things in the microwave. It is ideal for Ilkley and we were visiting family in Bolton Abbey and Burely in Warfdale and this was was perfectly located for that. It also had a wonderfully comfy sofa and excellent TV choice as we wanted quiet nights in.

    Lucy2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay for easy access to Ilkley and the moor. The accommodation is clean, contemporary and comfortable and the location is quiet and peaceful. The owners live upstairs and we thought they'd got the balance just right regarding being on hand to help when we needed it but in no way intrusive during our stay.

    Jude2017-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my short stay in this gorgeous suite. Paul was extremely accommodating and helpful. The suite itself is such a high standard, wonderfully comfortable and situated in lovely surroundings. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

My place is close to Shipley Glen with easy access to the moors; Saltaire, the world heritage village and its railway station (15 min walk down the hill through the woods), Leeds Bradford Airport (15 min drive). You’ll love it because it's a self contained character cottage, which we lovingly call the Bothy! Located adjacent to our house, it's private, cosy and tucked away, so great if you just want some peace and quiet. It's great for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers.
The Bothy really is a great space and has everything you need for a relaxed stay without the awkwardness of staying in someone's home or the bland surroundings of a generic hotel chain. Situated adjacent to our house, the Bothy is self contained with its own front door. It features a welcoming lounge with a sofa and two easy chairs, Freeview tv, DAB radio and log burner. There's also a small table, a bathroom with walk in shower, a compact kitchen, and a first floor bed deck accessed via a staircase that features a double bed, hanging rail and chest of drawers. We provide free Yorkshire Tea, Taylor's of Harrogate coffee bags and a jar of sweet treats. We'll also pop a small Kilner bottle of skimmed milk in the fridge, so you can have a brew as soon as you arrive and settle in. The kitchen is compact and features a two ring halogen hob. There is no conventional oven, however a small counter top oven and microwave are provided. There's also a toaster and kettle. Towels are provided, as well as quality toiletries such as shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and loo roll. Free BT Infinity Wifi :-) The Bothy features a log burning stove. We're happy to supply a starter fuel pack for £8 which will include logs for one night, kindling and firelighters. Further logs can be purchased from local stores or you can simply bring your own. Please let us know if you require a fuel pack before arrival. There is no washing machine. Should you require anything to be washed we're happy for you to use the machine and the tumble dryer in the main house for a small charge. Business users only - should you require a continental breakfast including fruit juice, tea/coffee, cereal, warmed croissants or toast (butter and selection of jams), or a bacon roll, this can be provided at a cost of £6.50 per day payable on check-in. Please message me at time of booking to reserve. Unfortunately I'm only able to offer this service to business guests, weekday bookings only. We do have a travel cot should guests be travelling with a baby. However please note that it can only be set up on the ground floor. The accommodation isn't really suitable for small children. No long terms lets... sorry!
The neighbourhood is very residential and quiet. It's a popular area for middle class families. The house is located about 1.5 miles from Baildon village centre where you'll find pubs, bars, restaurants, Co-Op supermarket, cashpoints, post office etc. Ideally you will need a car, but we are accessible via public transport and then on foot or by taxi. Some former guests have marked us down on our location, which amuses me given that there's a map that shows where we are, and I explicitly say we're in a very quiet, residential location. We're set on the hill above Saltaire, the world heritage village which is within a 15 minute walk down through the woods. The village features the world renowned Salt's Mill as well as shops, restaurants, cafes and bars; Saltaire railway station has links to Leeds, Bradford and Skipton. Shipley Glen is a few minutes walk from the house with access to the moors and the Old Glen House pub, which serves food. It is a great base from which to explore Yorkshire's cities such as shoppers paradise Leeds and curry capital Bradford. Its magnificent towns such as Hebden Bridge, Skipton, Harrogate and Ilkley are all within a 30-40 minute drive. Wharfedale, the southern most part of the Yorkshire Dales is within easy reach by car, and features the beautiful Bolton Abbey and picturesque villages of Grassington, Kilnsey and Kettlewell.
  • The Bothy is a wonderful cozy little self contained cottage, very beautifully and tastefully decorated with a wonderful atmosphere enhanced by the wood burning fire, in a quiet location. You feel very safe and cozy in there and we have really enjoyed our stay! Adam is a very welcoming, generous and thoughtful host, he showed us round and was more than happy to point us in the right direction for local amenities and eateries. Thank you so much for having us to stay, already looking to book a second visit!

  • Really good space, booked and spent time with family nearby so didn't spend much time there - lovely walks nearby.

    Georgina2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really comfortable stay. The Bothy had everything we needed for a long weekend and was a welcoming space to come back to at the end of the day - it wasn't cold enough for the log burner but it was a nice feature, the heating was very controllable and the shower was a real treat. We used it as a base for trips to York and Leeds and it worked really well for that. Check in and out was really easy and Adam was very helpful. We would definitely come back and would recommend to friends.

    Chloe2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • My second stay at this lovely cottage - a home from home. I stayed overnight on a business trip but the area looks perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy the great outdoors. Exactly as described and has everything you need.

We have a lovely large house in Headingley, with a quiet comfortable single bedroom on the top floor for travellers, visiting academics, workers etc. We don't serve breakfast, but you are welcome to help yourself to tea & proper coffee, homemade bread and marmalade. You can sit in the garden if the weather allows. We have two cats who believe that they own the house. But we are the hosts - my husband Tim and I. We do a variety of work and study and are often around in the house to help guests.
The room is quiet, warm and comfortable. It has a single bed for one person.
Headingley is a lovely neighbourhood. Many students live there, but also many home owners. If you are a driver, there is a reasonable amount of on-street parking, but it can be difficult if important cricket or rugby matches are on.
  • Lovely couple, very welcoming and kind. The room was comfortable and clean and sunny (when there was any).

This is a gorgeous cosy double room, in a beautiful house situated in a quiet residential area two and a half miles (under ten minutes drive) from Leeds city centre. There is safe on-street parking outside the house.
This wonderful attic room has symmetrical gently polished wooden beams. The window is dressed with a delightful Roman blind. There is an old Victorian fireplace, and the bed is exceedingly comfy, with a memory foam mattress. If you like to sit in bed and admire the view you'll love spending restful time in here. The house has just been lovingly renovated and decorated to a high standard. Downstairs there is a living room, a dining room and a fully-equipped kitchen all available for your use. On the first floor there is a small bathroom featuring a loo and a sink. On your floor there is a brand new bathroom with a shower and bath.
The house is on a friendly street with lots of cats (it was once dubbed Britain's Friendliest Street!). It's in the Armley district of Leeds, which is a working class area with lots of character. The house is 2.5 miles from the centre of Leeds and one hour’s drive to York, Manchester,Sheffield. It’s close to the city of Bradford and about thirty minute's drive from Haworth, the home of the Brontes. In Leeds City Centre you will love the shopping arcades such as the Victoria Quarter, the restaurants, theatres, art galleries, bars and clubs. Also, Leeds has a vibrant music scene. It's easy to get into the city centre. You could drive there in ten minutes, take a bus from the end of the street (two minutes' walk from the house) or take a taxi for around £5. If you have a car (you can park it in the street outside the house) or take the train you can enjoy the choice of countryside and historical locations that you can visit with less than an hour's drive, and the stunning coastal views of the North East coast at two hour's drive.
  • As always an amazing stay

  • I stayed at the house for almost a month and had a wonderful time! It was kept very clean (in this case by Neil, the neighbour) and any time there were any issues, Neil was right on hand to deal with them. He even picked up medication for me when I had the flu! The house is basic, but spacious, very clean and pleasant and has anything you might need for cooking, etc. The location is very handy to downtown and a grocery store is near by. I felt 'at home' there right away, and the other guests were all nice and considerate. I would definitely stay there again! Highly recommend!

    Tom2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • A very reliable place to stay with with a friendly host. The house meets every need.

    Malcolm2016-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Richard, a very amenable chap, greeted me as arranged and gave myself and another visitor a tour of the facilities. All in all it's a nicely decorated house retaining many of it's original features. There a four rooms rented out all generous in size, and use of the kitchen, dining room and living room is there too. At full occupancy the one bathroom will be busy though, although there is one further W.C. on the first floor. Having said that, the heating system and shower are very good. The beams were indeed symmetrical; amazing.

Ilkley is amazing - I love living here. The town is vibrant and full of excellent shops, restaurants and coffee houses. We're so close to Leeds and Bradford and I live 2 minutes from the train station.
  • We stayed here for two weeks whilst exploring beautiful West Yorkshire with our family. It was a perfect base for what we needed and although the whole County was on our doorstep. The wonderful town of Ilkley and its hidden treasures and great areas to walk and shop- was the high point. So close to shops and other local attractions. Comfortable room in a shared house, good facilities and a friendly welcome! This is for the spare room in my house, we'll be like housemates! All comers welcome but i can recommend the place to keen cyclists/walkers and general lovers of the outdoors.. Situated in the historic market town of Otley, the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, great walks and rides are on the doorstep. Muddy boots and bikes welcome, wash facilities available via the side entrance!
  • Tom is a fantastic host. He kindly offered us a ride from Leeds to Otley as our train arrived as he was finishing work. He also has a great deal of knowledge about the area including walking and cycling routes and what pubs are worth a visit. The room and house are very comfortable and clean, so was very easy to feel right at home. Otley town centre is an easy 20 minute walk from the house where there is a big supermarket and some great pubs. There are also some lovely hikes that are walking distance. We very much enjoyed our stay with Tom and highly recommend his room.

Great friendly communication at all times, flexible regarding arrival time, and made us feel very welcome on arrival. Room was as described, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable nights stay. Tom was an excellent host and we would happily stay again.

A simple offering really - a bed to sleep in, a kitchen to prepare a meal and a warm welcome to the spa town of Harrogate, gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. Situated on the north west side of Harrogate, the house is on the No 3 bus route to the town centre (or a 40 min walk). You are welcome to use the lounge and/or conservatory during your stay too. NB - Nut Allergies - I do use nuts in my own cooking so can't promise no cross contamination.
  • Lovely comfortable room with a great view of the garden. Lovely to watch the birds coming into the garden. Very quiet location and clean and tidy room. Catherine made me feel very much at home at her place.

  • This was great, just as it looks in the picture. Right in the middle of Ilkley. We walked to a cafe 5mins away for breakfast. Host was very flexible with arrival and got back to us quickly.

  • Clean and spacious room within a nice townhouse on a quiet street in Ilkley, just a couple minutes walk from the train station. Met by friendly and accommodating hosts. The only thing I might have wanted to know beforehand is that the bathroom has a bath rather than a shower (no problem for me but might be for other potential guests). Thanks again Graham.

The studio has its own private entrance ,private garden and parking space . The sleeping area provides a king size bed wardrobe and dressing area with an on suite bathroom. There is a well equipped kitchen area with combination oven, hob dishwasher and fridge ,a dining area and a comfortable sitting area with TV and sound system .
Ilkley is a quiet spar town situated on the edge of the Yorkshire dales ,it has good rail and bus access to surrounding cities such as Leeds and Bradford .
  • Booking was extremely easy and at very little notice Trevor provided a lovely welcome. The apartment was amazing with great attention to detail in terms of meeting all guests' needs. Trevor was keen to know what else he could provide to make the stay even better - it was hard to find anything to improve. As well as a really comfortable indoor space, the apartment had its own outdoor area which would be amazing in warmer weather. The bed was extremely comfortable with easily accessible lighting and power. There was great flexibility in the heating and lighting of the apartment allowing the space to be transformed from working space in the daytime to a more cosy and intimate evening setting. The apartment was less than ten minutes from the centre of Ilkley which had a great range of shops and restaurants. There were also some good takeaway restaurants which delivered locally. I can't wait to come back next year for another visit.

    Lisa2016-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is as luxurious as the posting states. It is super stylish yet also very relaxing with quality linens and towels and a very comfortable bed. Everything you need for your stay is provided if you want to self cater. We were also given some good Retaurant recommendations. The little private garden would have been lovely had the weather been good. The position is excellent, near to town, and also very near to the moor. We would absolutely recommend it.

  • This beautiful studio apartment is the perfect place for a weekend away. It's gorgeously decorated down to every detail with all the amenities you'll need. Including full kitchen amenities and parking. It's an easy 10 minute stroll in to Ilkley and very close to a Tesco. Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back :)

    Callum2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was perfect. Clean and cosy, with everything you could need. Trevor was really welcoming and the check in was nice and relaxed. We felt completely secluded yet really close to everywhere nearby. Slippers, towels & little cosmetics made it even more luxurious. Will definitely be back in future.

    Flo2017-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Studio is the perfect weekend bolthole! Within a short walking distance of Ilkley town centre and of Ilkley Moor, the space was spotlessly clean and luxuriously appointed. It is close to all amenities, and yet feels like an exclusive and very cosy escape. Trevor is also the most amenable of hosts! Thoroughly recommended.

    Steve2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great weekend at The Studio Room- the decor is modern and stylish, it is spotlessly clean and you have everything you need to hand. It is an annexe but feels very private, not overlooked and has a small garden area. We received a friendly welcome from Trevor and Christine when we arrived and appreciated the tea, coffee and milk that they provided. There's a Tesco & M&S foodhall just down the road and it is walking distance to the train station, restaurants and Ilkley town centre shops. We enjoyed a bike ride from the the apartment to Skipton and back, stopping at Bolton Abbey. Loads of nice places to eat nearby- we ate at the Box Tree (fancy) and Ilkley Vaults (great pub food) and had a good cup of coffee at La Stazione. Lovely relaxed and peaceful weekend :)

This is a double room in a lovely house situated in a quiet residential area, two and a half miles (under ten minutes drive) from Leeds city centre. There is safe on-street parking outside the house. You'll have shared access to the living room, dining room, kitchen and bathrooms. We provide WiFi, towels, bedding, hairdryer, soap and shampoo etc, as well as tea, coffee, breakfast cereals and basic cooking ingredients. We like to make sure you have everything you need!
This is a first floor double bedroom with an additional single bed. The house has just been lovingly renovated and decorated to a high standard. Downstairs there is a living room, a dining room and a fully-equipped kitchen all available for your use. On your floor there is a small bathroom featuring a loo and a sink. On the second floor there is a brand new bathroom with a shower and bath.
You could drive there in ten minutes, take a bus from the end of the street (two minutes' walk from the house) or take a taxi for £6-7. If you have a car (you can park it in the street outside the house) or take the train you can enjoy the choice of countryside and historical locations that you can visit with less than an hour's drive, and the stunning coastal views of the North East coast at two hour's drive.

  • My girlfriend and I stayed at St Ives Mount for a week while we found our own place to rent long term. Being our first time using airbnb we were dubious but on arrival pleasantly surprised. The property itself was obviously recently refurbished with new carpets. The house was always warm to come home to which is just what we needed. Other people staying there were friendly too. We were very happy, great value for money compared to other property's we saw online around the area and only a short walk and then bus trip to City center. Thanks

  • I had a very lovely stay at Chris and Karren's place in Armley. Everything from the room to the convenient location to the city centre were true to advertising. This was my first Airbnb stay so I was a bit hesitant about the other guests but everyone was so friendly and polite, I had no issues at all. Karren was very flexible when I needed to add a night to my stay, so I am very grateful to her. I would definitely recommend Chris and Karren's place to anyone visiting Leeds.

    Mariah2014-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The bed is so comfortable and check in was very easy! You have to take a bus to get into the city center but the bus stop is very close by. Definitely would stay here again. Zoe also recommended a few places to eat in Leeds which were great! :)

  • Karren was out of the country when myself and my colleague arrived. Her friend, Richard gave us the keys at his flat as we were horribly late, after a long drive and lots of delays. We arrived at 1:30am! I'd like to thank Richard for tolerating our late arrival. The house is very clean ans spacious, with a good sized lounge, dining room and kitchen. The room pictured here is the smallest bedroom, my colleague had this one, I had the top bedroom with the dormer window. This often means restricted headroom, but not in this house. I would recommend this house to anyone wishing to stay in Leeds, it has good bus routes nearby and free street parking. There are small corner shops dotted around and a Chinese takeaway in the next street. The area is a quiet residential street, just perfect for a relaxing stay. Beds are always important to me, as I work long hours and the d

  • Perfectly placed for anyone visiting Ilkley or surrounding area for walking as it is five minutes walk from the town Centre. We were given a warm welcome at check in and furnished with everything we could possibly need, from fresh milk for the tea tray to toiletries we may have forgotten. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, as was the bathroom. It had such a warm, homely vibe that finished off our trip perfectly. Good value for money, would definitely recommend!

  • This is an ideal base for starting the Dales Way. Jo welcomed us warmly into her home and provided coffee/tea making facilities in the room which was beautifully decorated, as good as an(URL HIDDEN)have stayed in - and friendlier too. Lots of tips for our Dales Way walk and sharing walking stories all helped set us up for our long walk. A lovely home with very friendly, welcoming guests.

  • Jo's place is a haven of comfort and calm very close to the centre of lovely Ilkley. The big comfy bed, fluffy towels and luxury bathroom were most welcome after our long walk. We would definitely stay here again

    Lynda2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jo made us feel very welcome and the room is so peaceful and calming, it was a pleasure to be in. Jo and her husband have a beautiful house and their choice of artwork and treasures mean there is lots to look at and enjoy, exactly what Airbnb should be about - no cold sterile hotel room here. That said all hotel comforts were present, from leaflets about the local area to tea/coffee facilities and bedside lights, water glasses etc. Breakfast wasn't included but no matter as there are plenty of places really close to get a coffee and bite to eat. The location is absolutely superb being situated just a few steps from a wide selection of cafes, bars, pubs, restaurants in a very attractive leafy Yorkshire town. There are also loads of local attractions particularly if you like hiking or outdoor pursuits.

The private loft double bedroom was very comfortable and it was a perfect location to stay the night after our friend's wedding & explore the lovely moor the next day. The breakfast was delicious, the bathrobes were great and her dog is very cute. I definitely recommend this listing!

    Dot2016-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place in lovely Ilkley. Gilly was welcoming but unobtrusive when we arrived, and the next morning made a super breakfast, and was happy to chat. I'd definitely stay here again. The walk up to the nearby rocks on the moor was especially memorable.

'Breaking news'! Both our cottages have just been awarded The Trip Advisor 2017 'Certificate of Excellence'!! The Courtyard Cottage can be found in the chocolate box village of Timble, which is in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, in The Yorkshire Dales! Perfect for couples who enjoy relaxing, walking and beautiful surroundings but demand quality accommodation. Sleeps 2 but adjacent to our other cottage The Old Dairy, so you can stay with another couple and have your own space.
Formerly a tailors workshop back in the 1800's, then the school teachers house for the village school, next my son's bedrooms/bathrooms etc., then finally back to it's original intention in 2013, a pretty Yorkshire stone cottage. Our conversion was simple,we just put back what belonged and now we have a fabulous mix of contemporary and traditional features for you to enjoy. The upstairs bedroom is full of light during the day and the lounge is calming and cosy by the log burner in the evening after a long day enjoying the Yorkshire countryside. Luxuriate in the beautiful bath and watch a selection of movies - provided for your enjoyment. You could even order dinner from a selection of locally sourced/seasonal ingredients from our menu so you can have a total well earned rest!
The cottage is situated in a beautiful hamlet of 26 houses, in an Area of Outstanding Natural beauty, it has a chapel, village hall and probably the best pub/restaurant in the area. You only need to walk a couple of hundred yards to get to it. We like to describe ourselves as being in the 'middle of everywhere' but equally in a quiet rural location with views to die for. You can easily and quickly reach Harrogate, Skipton, Ilkley, Otley, Ripon, Pateley Bridge, Knaresborough and The Yorkshire Dales National Park.
  • My girlfriend and I stayed in this lovely little cottage for two nights and we loved it. Dawn has obviously put her heart into making the place look cosy, stylish, and practical, and has paid plenty of attention to minor details. The kitchen is fairly new and very well equipped; the bed and linen are comfy, and the bathroom is rather nice too. The village, Timble, is picturesque and full of character. The area is absolutely beautiful - very peaceful and quiet, and perfect for long walks and hikes, which is exactly what we were looking for. If you're willing to drive for about 30 minutes you can get to Malham in the Yorkshire Dales where you'll experience of some breathtaking scenery! If you're staying there I'd recommend you do your basic grocery shopping beforehand as there aren't any shops or supermarkets nearby. We drove into Harrogate for that. Overall a very pleasant experience and we'd definitely consider visiting again. Thanks Dawn!

    Daniel2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for two nights and had a fantastic stay. The cottage is decorated to a very high standard throughout and had everything we needed. Dawn gave us a warm friendly welcome and provided brilliant local knowledge. This was our first time using AirBnB and we would not hesitate in using the website, or staying at The Courtyard Cottage again in future. Great cottage, great location.

  • Lovely spot for a very good value short break for 2 people in a one-bedroom cottage. Comfortable & well equipped house, with restaurant pub in walking distance and beautiful views all around. Easy access to Dales, as well as Yorkshire's towns & cities.

  • The cottage is in a lovely peaceful location and the Dales, Harrogate etc are easily accessible. It is well equipped and comfortable and the wood-burning stove makes for cosy evenings. Dawn is a great host. Highly recommended.

  • Dawn's cottage is beautiful. A perfect combination of comfort and luxury. It has everything you could possibly need and Dawn and her husband are lovely hosts. An idyllic spot in easy distance of harrogate if you fancy a ride out. The timble inn is very nice and has excellent take away fish and chips (thanks for the tip dawn!). we will be back.

  • A beautiful cottage in peaceful countryside. Amazing country pub with top notch food 30 sec walk away. Dawn was very friendly & helpful especially as we booked at the last minute. Nothing was too much trouble, and she accommodated an early check-in and late check-out. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, and furnished & appointed to a very high standard. The log burner and free firewood made for a very cosy & romantic stay. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend this place to others.

  • Carol made me feel very welcome and 'at home' straight away. The listing description was accurate. Carol was the perfect host and provided me with helpful information about the town and surrounding area which also enhanced my overall experience. I got to meet some of her friends too. It was lovely to feel part of things in a family home setting but it was also great to have my own space and be able to 'do my own thing' too. The room has lovely natural light and is comfortable and spacious. I slept soundly each night. The neighborhood is lovely and Ilkley is a wonderful town packed with interest. It's also in a fabulous location that makes it easy to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. I had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay and would love to book Carol's place again when I go back to Ilkley.

  • Carol is the ideal Airbnb host(ess). She is welcoming, convivial, easy-going and generous. She made me feel exceptionally welcome from the moment I stepped into her home. She is the sort of person you feel you have known for years; like a long-lost friend. She even suggested we went out for a meal and introduced me to gastro pub Wetherspoons. The house itself is cosy; Carol offers a cupboard teeming with cereals and a fridge well-stocked with various home made jams; red currant and rhubarb to name just a few. Carol's house is ideally located for anyone who wishes to walk in the Dales or just mooch round the shops and take tea in one of the many local tea shops. A visit to the remarkable and monumental town of Ilkley is a must for anyone who wants to truly experience Yorkshire.

  • We had a lovely weekend stay at Ilkley where we enjoyed Carol's hospitality! The location of the house was great, only a close 10-minute walk to the town centre with some nice restaurants and pubs. The house was very nice and clean. Carol also provided a very nice breakfast for both of the days we were staying.

  • My daughter and I had an excellent stay at Carol's house which was nice and welcoming. Carol was very accommodating and flexible. The house itself is centrally located in the lovely town of Ilkley, easy to walk to shops and restaurants and close to foot paths. We would definitely go back to Carol's when we return to Ilkley.

  • Before my arrival at Carol's place, she kindly answer my questions and allowed me to store my luggage at hers even she had to go to work that day. Her daughter is also lovely and helpful. The room was great and comfy, and the kitchen and the bathroom were clean. Carol and I had a short talk, which made me feel warm and welcomed. I enjoyed stay with Carol very much!

  • Once again there was a very warm welcome and stay with Kath in Otley and it's a pleasure staying with her.

    Sara2016-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Kath's house is located away from the centre of Otley, on a street opposite the Asda supermarket. The room that I had was on the top floor and had a pleasant view across neighbouring gardens towards the hills. The room was clean and bright and the bed comfortable. Kath was very friendly and provided me with a cup of tea when I arrived. I was given a key for the house and could come and go as I pleased. Indeed, I needed to extend my stay so I booked again for the following week and was allowed to keep the key while I was away over the weekend so I could let myself in on my return. Overall I think my stay was excellent value for money.

  • The room was just what I needed as I was going to a party nearby. Perfect location for the party. Host friendly and nice to chat to.

  • A fantastic family in a fantastic home in a fantastic location. Kath and family were very welcoming and made time to entertain you if required or simply left you to get on with things also. The house is very close to the centre of Otley with the bus station only 4-5 minutes walk. There are also lots of shops locally and even an Asda store about 1 minute from the house. For pub lovers there are too many to choose from, all serving real ales and many of them food. Don't misunderstand me, the town is very quiet but has a wonderful sense of community. You will always find live music in the pubs which seem to be central to the life of the village. I would highly recommend booking a stay with Kath and family. She is such a warm and genuine person with an equally lovely family.

Horsforth is a pleasant, respectable and safe suburb of Leeds. There are riverside walks and woods to explore and for those not wanting to sample the nightlife of the city centre, Horsforth town offers lively pubs and classy restaurants. Close by are Kirkstall Abbey and Horsforth Hall Park.
  • Cosy place, with wifi, two beds, tv, fridge, kettle, microwave, toilet and shower. Its completely private, area around is quiet, hundreds of big trees, river. Near outwood avenue is a big Horsforth Hall Park, with japan garden within. Horsforth is not far from Leeds. Fran's place has bus connection from airport - bus nr 757 goes via New Road Side, its connected with outwood avenue. Owners are kind and helpful. I highly recommend this place, Im 100% satisfied.

  • This is a lovely place to stay. It was in a beautiful, quiet and friendly area. The key draw card of the place is how private it is; you are in a separate apartment away from the main dwellings.

  • From the very beginning communication was fast and friendly Fran and Malcolm are wonderful hosts , If it was possible to rate higher than 5star I would. I had the pleasure of staying with them for almost the full month of February due to attending a 4 week training course in central Leeds. Fran can not do enough for you providing Tea,Coffee,Sugar,Milk,Bread,Butter,Biscuits, the list is endless. Kettle and Toaster also provided. As my friend and I are were there for a long stay Fran even put a small fridge and Microwave in the room for us which was amazing. The room is very private with a separate entrance at the end of the drive way , 2 very comfortable beds and with a lovely bathroom,. We only took the train once into Leeds and the station is only 7-8 min stroll from the house and only 1 stop into Leeds less than 10 mins. I drove on a daily basis some mornings and evenings the traffic is quite heavy and could take 20-25 mins to get along what is a straight route into the centre, approx 10-15 mins when quiet. I would not stay anywhere else when I go back to Leeds for my next training course. Great stay and great hosts. Thank you Fran and Malcolm.

  • The little place is self-contained, private entrance, mini kitchen, clean and comfortable for one or two. Bathroom and towels were wonderful. The hostess was pleasant and helpful.

  • Nice quiet accommodation. Fran and her husband were very helpful. Easy access to the City Centre. Would definitely stay again.

  • We had a wonderful time at Fran's place. It was a stand alone building with a bedroom and ensuite which offered a lot of privacy. The hosts left us everything we needed and more, from the private fridge, microwave to the tasty breakfast, with croissants, fruit and jam :-) The location was very convenient with only a few minutes to Kirkstall Abbey. The house was situated in a pleasant, scenic cul-de-sac by the forest. Thank you, Fran for your hospitality and a caring approach. Highly recommended!

Meanwood is a beautiful place to reside, great local amenities (bars, cafes and Waitrose on doorstep!) surrounded by woods and parks, plus it's a 10 minute walk to Headingley and only 1.6 miles out of the captivating culture of Leeds City Centre. The room itself is light an airy, it has recently been rejuvenated, it offers a double bed, plenty of floor space, new furniture and access to several empty draws to store belongings. Perfect for solo travellers or couples.
The room is 100% yours for your stay. You have open access to house bathroom, kitchen and living areas.
  • I had the most amazing stay, the most awesome kind hearted easy going souls you would ever meet. Perfect location for me as I was doing yoga training at the wellness studio an easy 10-12 min Walk or a £4 Uber and a bargain as it’s not far from Leeds city if you wanted to venture in.
