  • Perfect location for exploring North Norfolk in a quiet village. Everything accomodated for in this quaint cottage. Would stay again and probably will.

  • Beautiful cosy cottage in a quiet Norfolk village, well placed for the coast and other local attractions. Our young children loved the chickens opposite the cottage and the pretty garden was enclosed and safe for them to run around. The log fire was wonderful for the chilly evenings and there was a large selection of books, DVD and games if we needed entertainment. Kate the host was friendly and helpful.

    Andy2017-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Kate's lovely cottage, very cosy and has everything you need to cater for yourself. It's is in a great location to explore North Norfolk (we were lucky enough to do so by car) and we have fallen in love with this beautiful part of England. Despite Kate being fairly new to AirBnB it seems that the cottage is a seasoned rental favourite. We found it a little tricky to locate, so make sure you plan further ahead than we did so you know how to find it!

The bungalow was in easy distance of a lot of lovely public walks which the dogs enjoyed too! We had a lovely day at Holkham beach and park and finished the long weekend at Sandringham, both of which were only a short drive away from Burnham Market. Thank you Sharron.

  • A lovely homely, cosy cottage, just as the photos, the lounge / dining room seems bigger to me than the photo suggests, kitchen area is as described and fully equipped with cooker and dish washer. Lucy's End Cottage is gently arranged with interesting and quirky pieces, and well chosen furniture - I was very admiring. The outside seating in the garden was lovely for breakfasts, and the fireplace downstairs looks cosy for winter. It's a 10 ish minute walk to lovely Burnham Market. Thank you Lucy, for our stay!

    Lyz2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is located about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Burnham Market in a nice quiet residential area. Whilst there is no parking directly at the property, this certainly is not a problem as there is plenty of space a few metres down the road from the cottage. The furnishings in the cottage are rather basic, but contain everything you need for a few days away. We didn't manage to locate a bottle opener so it is definitely worth bringing your own. The nearby Nelson Pub serves good food, and ales and the staff are very friendly and helpful I would happily rent End Cottage again in future

  • Had a lovely weekend in Burnham Market. The cottage is lovely, with an open fire and is only a five minute walk to the pub and local shop - so well located. We went on a great walk straight from Burnham Market to the coast. The village is also close to Holkham and Wells-next-sea which are lovely places to visit for the day. A very enjoyable weekend.

    Burnham Market, Norfolk, United Kingdom

Leith House is half a mile from the beautiful north Norfolk coast. The accommodation is attached to an old farmhouse with its own entrance. We are one mile from Burnham Market, Burnham Thorpe and Burnham Overy Staithe. The nearest entrance to the stunning Holkham Estate is half a mile away.
On the ground floor there is a good-sized living area with kitchen/dining and sitting room. Upstairs is a double bedroom and shower room with WC and hand washbasin. One guest did say that we should point out that part of the ceiling in the bedroom slopes so that a tall person would have to lower their head if they chose to sleep on that side of the bed.
The surrounding villages and beaches are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The wildlife is among the best in the UK. In fact the National Nature Reserve just half a mile north of Leith House is rated as one of the very best places for birdwatching. There are many pubs and restaurants. The famous Holkham Hall and park are close by, as is Wells-next-the-Sea - a lively fishing port. Burnham Thorpe is Nelson's birthplace and the village church is where his father was the Rector.
  • Zoe and Ben's place is perfectly located for exploring the North Norfolk coast. Zoe and Ben were accommodating and helpful with recommendations for dinner. We enjoyed the dvd selection and eggs from the chickens made a perfect post-parkrun breakfast! We especially loved being greeted by the lovely cat Fifi as we came and went. Would definitely recommend for a quiet Norfolk break.

    Michaela2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the annexe of Leith House. It really felt like a home away from home, helped by the cosy furnishings, bedding and towels provided, and added touches like fresh eggs and figs to welcome us. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, and it was a nice touch to provide local leaflets and recommendations. There was never any issue over privacy, and going through the utility room was not a problem. The location was great for us, as we spent time in Holkham, Wells and Brancaster, and the house was close to all of these (by car). It was lovely and quiet and we would have no hesitation in returning.

    Allyson2016-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic few days and would love to go back again. We were made to feel very welcome and Zoe kept in touch to make sure we had all we needed. The lovely little patio garden we had access to was an added bonus. The cottage was lovely, and with the added touches, we felt at home.

    Allyson 2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfectly situated for visiting the North Norfolk coast. The beaches are stunning . Good for walking , amazing wildlife and plants . We were lucky to be there when the migrating geese were arriving . Quiet location . All in all lovely !

    Kim2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The location is lovely with lots of great walks and nice places to eat. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and had no problem with us bringing our dog along. I would recommend Leith House to anyone looking for a nice quiet break away from the city.

  • Although it was a one-night stay, we had a lovely time. It was in a very good location! Thank you Ben for all your tips and help throughout. Really appreciated the prompt responses before the trip too!

  • We had a good welcome both personal and practical (the hens were laying well while we were there!) The cottage was just right for us, ideal for a couple, well presented and in nice surroundings. A nice walk to the salt marshes at Burnham Overy and you are in the middle of lots of wonderful bird life. We would happily go again.

    Burnham Overy Town, United Kingdom

Completely renovated and refurbished in 2015, this bright and comfortable house offers a wonderful base for exploring the North Norfolk coast line and surrounding market towns.
The Old Bakery was completely renovated and refurbished in 2015. It is a bright and comfortable base from which to enjoy a North Norfolk holiday. Upstairs can accommodate six people in three bedrooms (one king, and two sets of twin beds). Also upstairs there are two bathrooms - one full bathroom and one shower room with WC. Downstairs an additional two people can sleep on the sofa bed in the study. There are a range of books and board games, as well as a smart TV and DVD player. There is a large living room with two comfy sofas and a large dining table. The modern kitchen also provides a table and seating. The old bread oven is in the downstairs hallway. Off of this hallway is a third shower room and a separate utility area with a Belfast sink, washer/dryer, airer, iron and ironing board. A travel cot, booster seat and high chair are available for use. At the front of the house there is a private garden that has recently been landscaped with outside seating and a disposable BBQ. There is off-road parking for 2-3 cars.
Burnham Thorpe, birth place of Horatio Nelson, is a quiet and beautiful village close to the North Norfolk coast. Just a hop, skip and a jump to the Holkham Estate, Burnham Market, Burnham Overy Staithe, Wells, Brancaster, and a whole host of other top spots. In the village you can also find Salt Glass Studios and a display about Nelson in the church. Across the road from the house's garden is the village playing field with an array of equipment to keep little ones entertained. The Lord Nelson pub across the playing field has been closed by Greene King for renovation work, we look forward to it being open again.
  • Beautiful accommodation - highly recommended! Thank you Frances for making our visit to Norfolk so wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house. We were so impressed by its elegance, beauty and the clear thoughtfulness which had gone into creating such a lovely space. There was perfect attention to detail throughout. Here are a few more reasons why I highly recommend visiting The Old Bakery: 1. Very friendly, kind and helpful host (Frances) - the welcoming gifts were lovely. 2. Beautiful design throughout the house, and very clean everywhere! 3. Great amenities e.g. BBQ, plenty of different spaces to eat, washing machine and dryer. 4. Bright, light and airy, alongside nice nostalgia of the past e.g. the original bread oven. 5. Spacious with plenty of room for 8 guests. Very useful having 3 bathrooms available. 6. Excellent location - fantastic beaches nearby, quaint villages, and a great park literally across from the house. 7. Generally wonderful setting - perfect escape to the countryside, even has ponies in the adjacent field We would definitely love to visit The Old Bakery again and encourage you to book this home as your accommodation - you'll be pleased you did! One of the best family holidays we've ever had!

    Arabella2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place with lots of room. Well decorated.

    nick2016-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay. Frances was very helpful with the booking and always responded quickly. The welcoming cake, local apple juice and nibbles were much appreciated. The house is beautiful, spacious, very comfortable, well equipped and located in a delightful village. We were made welcome at The Nelson and found everyone friendly. It's a lovely part of Norfolk - so much to explore and we even saw the sun on several days! I certainly hope that we'll be back.

    Alison2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Bakery was really super. Great location. Lovely interior and the location was good for getting around the coast. Frances communicated with us brilliantly ahead of our stay and the treats on arrival were great

  • We'll be back and we will recommend this lovely cottage to others.

    Deirdre2017-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely 4-night stay at The Old Bakery. The location is beautiful - so peaceful and relaxing, but convenient for seeing the sites of Norfolk. The property is clearly very well looked after - spotlessly clean, comfortable, and everything we needed was there. We felt very much at home, and delicious cake on arrival to top it all off. Thank you Frances - only wish we could have stayed a bit longer!

    Sarah2016-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • We have just arrived back from a lovely stay at The Old Bakery. Frances made us feel welcome from the start. The cottage is well appointed and spacious. Lovely beaches and facilities nearby.

    Liisa2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • The old bakery is a rather beautifully restored building and perfectly situated for local beaches and a spot of shopping in Burnham market. We had such a lovely mini break and Frances really does cater to all your needs. There's also a fantastic kids play area opposite, a paddock with horses, sheep and rabbits to entertain the little ones. We'd definitely like to take our family back there next summer.

  • Anne was good at communicating with us

    Jonathan2016-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay in Burnham Market. With our one year old, there was plenty of space in the house for him to roam about. All the utilities worked well, a great en suite in the main bedroom. The house itself is in a brilliant location - walking access to all the shops, pubs and delis. A short drive to incredible Holkham beach, and to many of the other beautiful coastal villages. Highly recommend staying here at this Norfolk retreat.

    Phil2016-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Anne's cottage is as quaint and pretty as it looks on the pics! Quite roomy for a cottage, fab location-5 min walk to shops. Bonus of having large grassed area opposite for kids to play games on, also cottage is up a drive off the main road so it's safer for the little ones. 10 mins from lovely Wells-next-the-Sea. Easy to get hold of Anne when needed too. Perfect ️️️️️

  • Great few days in Burnham Market. The cottage is in a great location & my children loved the grassy area across from cottage as well as the nearby park. There is plenty to do nearby including lots of lovely beaches, amazing restaurants and pubs and we had plenty to do despite the inclement weather.

    Katy2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in the centre of the village, comfortable and extremely well equipped

    Malcolm2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Anne's place with my wife, daughter, son in law and grandson. The house is very well appointed with all the amenities we could wish for and very tastefully decorated which gives it a feeling of being at home (not in a "barebones" rental house). Very important the beds were very comfortable, so a good night's sleep guaranteed. Anne was very helpful in preparing us for the visit. Burnham Market is a great location with plenty to do nearby for all the family, so neither the adults nor our toddler grandson had a moment to be bored. We all look forward to a future visit One tip - remember to take household sundries (toilet paper etc)

  • Nice house in a wonderful part of Norfolk

  • We had a lovely stay here and were lucky with the weather! Great location for exploring the north norfolk coastline with walks from the house and beaches just a short car journey away. Only a couple of minutes from shops (+ great deli and pub) in Burnham Market. We have a small dog who loved roaming around. The house is private with a lovely, well-tended walled garden but very close to the road so there is some noise from passing cars. It's over 3 floors, with one bedroom on the ground floor that we didn't use. The children liked the 'den' upstairs on the mezzanine with its well stocked dvd library. The house was very clean and tastefully furnished - would recommend staying here.

    Miranda 2017-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • A decent house in a decent position near Burnham Overy Staithe. The garden is very pleasant and it's in a great position for walking around the wetlands and close to Burnham Mkt and OS. We enjoyed the top 'TV' room in the mezzanine with the terrific collection of films. However, the lower bedroom and kitchen frontage is directly on the road. It was unexpectedly noisy. The downstairs is airless (windows don't fully open) and dingy (terrible lighting) and we arrived after a quick 'paint job' had been given to the downstairs. This meant we were almost overwhelmed with paint fumes which only faded mid-way through our stay. The kitchen was tired. Terrible cutlery, dirty drawers and fridge and an over-iced freezer. And there were a disappointing amount of accessories: no scourer, oils, sugar, condiments etc. The tumble dryer didn't work which meant we were strangled as to what could be washed and therefore dried on the faulty clothes horse in the garden. The dishwasher also didn't work. No salt, rinse aid. Extremely annoying having to wash everything by hand - and again, no scourer provided! Also worth noting the shower isn't up to much - dribbling into the bath. Unanimously we found the beds uncomfortable. Blessed with the fine weather the nights were sticky and we found only one fan. (See windows not opening). Had the above been in good working order then the house would have been fine. But comparing accommodation notes with friends, we definitely paid top dollar for this property and felt let down. I'm sure it's a case of end-of-season tiredness but the house could probably do with some updating. I left a day early.

    Charlotte2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house was absolutely fantastic, had a real homely feel to it. The kitchen was well equipped for everything we wanted to cook. The overall location was ideal for us, so much to do and see. I'd happily come here again.

    Sam2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • The house and location suited us well with easy access to the coast via footpaths and short drives to Brancaster, Holkham and Wells. The welcome wine and crisps were a nice surprise. The quality of the nearby pubs and the deli in Burnham Market was very high. A serious issue for us was the lack of the promised wifi during our week stay.

    Mark2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Tibouche showed us round and made us all feel so welcome. The house had everything we needed and really was a home from home. We loved the location of the house and the fact that we could easily walk to wonderful beaches etc. We had a super meal at the Lord Nelson and enjoyed cooking at home in the well equipped kitchen. We would definitely stay again. Thanks Tibouche.

  • Great stay at the Watermill. Lovely location and well equipped house with fantastic views. The visitor information in the house was really useful as we were new to the area and gave us some great ideas for places to visit an eat. Thank you!

The one over-looking the garden has a double bed and at the front is a kids room with 2 full size single beds.
North Creake is a pretty countryside village with a lovely local pub, The Jolly Farmer, in the Good Food Guide, serving great food. • We had an amazing weekend staying here. Stephanie was fantastic beforehand and sent through really detailed instructions not only for the house itself but also for things to do in the surrounding area which made everything so easy. The house is absolutely stunning and she certainly has excellent taste. It fitted the bill for us and our two young children perfectly and we were made to feel very welcome. Stephanie made it clear that the kids were welcome to use the toys and the trampoline which made it much better for us as we didn't have to worry about our children touching things they shouldn't! The location was great, close to the coast for crabbing at Wells, the seal boat trips and Holkham Hall which, as Stephanie was kind to point out, was only a 15 minute bike ride to the back entrance from the house. All in all, I would definitely recommend a stay here, we came back to London pretty relaxed after a long weekend with two young children!

  • My wife, 18-month old daughter and I had a lovely weekend break in Stephanie's cottage. It is in a great location, just a few miles drive from Burnham Market, Wells etc. The cottage is a good size for a small family, and is beautifully decorated in a mid-century style and well equipped with everything you need for a short stay.

Our large safari tent is more like a lodge as it has a raised wooden floor, large windows and a woodburning stove inside. The retreat is close to 3 beaches and walking distance from Holkham Hall. It is on a Wild Campsite so you'll get close to nature and experience a forgotten Norfolk Brickyard. You’ll love the seclusion, the peace and quiet and the rest of the campsite. The Brickmaker's Retreat is a beautiful place for couples, small families with 2 kids or great for a group of 4 friends.
The Brickyard Campsite is a unique spot secretly hidden on the North Norfolk coast. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty you’ll feel like you have the whole place to yourselves! If you love owls hooting, deer grazing and stoats racing this is the place for you.

  • Had a great time at the bookmakers retreat. Booked it as a last get away before our baby arrived and it was perfect.

  • The safari tent is stylishly kitted out in a lovely secluded location, & Tim is a helpful host. Gas stove is perfect for making morning coffee. However just be aware that you need to bring all bedding, towels & toilet roll, & it gets chilly unless you're around to keep the stove burning all day, so it felt a bit more like camping than glamping in the cooler weather.

    Lauri2017-09-10T00:00:00Z

Burnham Overy Staithe is a little coastal village with one Pub and a bus stop - both opposite the house. Just two minutes walk to the creek. Sea view from the top floor. Inviting for long walks and wood burners waiting for you in the house. Originally, recently restored as our family home. All our books are in the house from travels and time, living abroad - videos and toys from our little children in a beautiful hand painted toy box.
Fast internet allows you easily to work on the desk corner upstairs, but shows weakness in high season. Another desk space is in the kitchen and in the single bedroom, which we use not officially as bedroom. We recommend using the house with not more than 6 people, because of the cosy sitting room.

For those who enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. A beautifully restored original "Shepherds Hut" situated in the countryside, close to the wonderful North Norfolk beaches. Log fire. A truly unique fun "Glamping experience."
A beautiful restored "original" Shepherds Hut with homely comforts. Toasty log woodburner. Double Bill Brown Bed which can be converted to Table/Seating area mode plus benches. Dresser. Electric socket to recharge phones, cameras, hairdryer etc. But we want our guests to enjoy the simpler joys of life. No Internet!! Private outside area to relax and chill. As the Shepherds Hut moves location occasionally we do not have a fixed bathroom facility. There is a chemical loo and hot enclosed Alfresco shower- All part of the fun! Sadly as there is open log burner etc this is not safe or suitable for children. Adults Only.
The Hut is situated on an arable farm, with easy reach of the farmhouse. There are ducks, guinea fowl roaming free range about the pond area. Owls hooting at night with a general country feel. We are approx 5 -10 minutes drive from Holkham and Brancaster beaches.
  • Perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The hut was clean, cosy and comfortable. The outside shower was something different, but definitely a good different (lovely and hot too). Lovely big continental breakfast with plenty of choice. Overall had a great stay here.

    Olivia2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very lovely welcoming hosts, the hit was very cosy with everything you need. The little stove was a bonus and we made great use of it as unfortunately it poured with rain most of the time we were there! The toilet and shower are external, the shower being rather invigorating (possibly only suitable for the extra hardy if you are staying in the colder months!) our only note is that this is on a working farm, so whilst we didn't have any trouble during the weekend, you may experience farm traffic noise during the week. Suzy leaves a good selection of breakfast items in a cool bag each morning which was great. The bed was spacious but it could do with a slightly better quality mattress as it was quite hard, but that's just our preference. Overall a fun stay.

    Emma2015-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Charming hut with basic but comfortable facilities. Suzy was a good host with swift communication. She has a great knowledge of the local area and provided good tips on local restaurants and attractions. A very enjoyable stay.

  • Suzy welcomed us and showed us the hut and the facilities, also gave us recommendations for where to visit and best places to eat. The hut is very cosy, especially with the log burner lit. The surrounding countryside and nearby beaches are beautiful. This is a perfect little countryside getaway for anyone wanting a bit of an escape.

  • We stayed in the shepherd's hut over a weekend in July and absolutely loved it. It's beautiful inside and super cosy. We felt we had our own little plot, with a secluded garden next to the duck pond - I particularly enjoyed waking up to the sound of ducklings outside. We had a car which was useful for exploring but we were able to walk to and from the nearest pub one evening which was a bonus. Would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a relaxing, country weekend. Thank you Suzy for a lovely weekend (despite the rain!)

  • This cottage is bigger inside than it looks! Be prepared for a lack of large garden but the small one at the front was sufficient for two people to sit and enjoy a drink in the last of the sunshine. The facilities are of a high standard and the location is ideal for exploring the many attractions along this stretch of the Norfolk coastline - either by road or on foot along the footpaths that are very accessible from the rear of the property. There is a good supermarket, cafe and two pubs within walking distance and even a fishmonger directly opposite the cottage!

  • We had a excellent long-weekend stay in Brancaster Staithe. The property is in an excellent location and was perfectly sized for my wife, myself and our dog to stay. Clean and comfortable too. Just what we needed. Would stay again.

  • We enjoyed a family stay with grandchildren around at pretty Dolphin Cottage. Very comfortable beds and lovely crisp white bedding. The cottage was big enough for all the grandchildren to be in, on occasional teatime visit. Tastefully furnished. A well-equipped kitchen. Short walk to nearest shops restaurant and a local pub just two doors away.

  • This was a lovely place to stay, comfortable and nicely decorated. It was probably better suited for a family than 2 couples as the bathroom wasn't private-we were close friends so it wasn't a problem. We were made to feel welcome and enjoyed our stay.

  • The house is very homely and extremely spacious. We loved the time we spent there and would definitely plan to come back again. The entire house is really cozy and clean. The host maintained the house really well and it was pretty easy to find on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps as well. So all in all we had a great experience and would recommend it to anyone interested in coming.

  • The cottage is lovely in a picture postcard setting - we had a lovely time.

  • Fantastic cottage with ample room for eight adults, a baby and two dogs! Well equipped and plenty of parking. Beautiful location, short stroll to two pubs, a few shops and North Norfolk Coastal path. Anna was really responsive and accommodating to our requests.

  • We stayed at Anna's house during a wedding weekend. Unfortunately we didn't get to spend enough time in Brancaster staithe as we spent most of our weekend in Burnham market, but of the time we were at the house we had a lovely weekend in Anna's. 5 The house was exactly as described, it was a great size and was extremely cosy which was just what we wanted. Anna couldn't have been more accommodating and her communication was very prompt and it made planning the weekend a seem less experience. Thank you Anna

    Holly2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a three day golf trip for 6 mature golfers. The village is lovely, with two good pubs that do good food. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you.

  • Fantastic location generally but in particular it is near the white horse that has great views and food. Large living area and decent kitchen. All in all a wonderful location in North Norfolk and massively roomy for 4 adults and 2 x babies.

    edward2016-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Anna's house was a dream - perfect location with everything you could need within walking distance nearby. Great pubs, fish shop, well stocked supermarket and cafe down the road and on the coast-hopper bus route for easy access. Well located for walks and in a beautiful village. Extremely easy checking in and out and a key box so that everyone could do their own thing without a panic anyone would get locked out. Great garden, stunning house. I would recommend it to anyone.

  • We had a fabulous 4 days in Brancaster Staithe. The house is perfect for a romantic break and large enough to sleep 4 comfortably. The two local pubs serve fantastic food, lots of close walks along the marches which reach the sea. Or by car you can reach more beaches. The house has been done to a really good standard and is Very quaint and dog friendly! The only small downside is that the double bed is not too comfy, but all other beds where very luxurious. We will definitely return! Thanks for a wonderful time X

Nelsons Cabin Bed and Breakfast is self contained, its a cranky mix of Nelson memorabilia and other quirky artifacts all contained in two cosy rooms overlooking the village duck pond, comprehensive continental breakfasts are supplied the night before
  • We loved staying at Nelsons cabin. Geoff and Paulette were great hosts. The cabin was quirky and well well equipped. I was very pleased to find red bush teabags my favourite, as well as Yorkshire tea, and ginger tea. We have also found a new favourite cheese Roquefort and the fridge was well stocked with goodies. Loved Bella and Stopka the cats too. Great place to stay and highly recommend the Jolly Farmers to eat and for a pint. We hope to be back.

  • Hi, We had a lovely weekend at the Nelson's Cabin. Very nice place, conveniently located and with fantastic continental breakfast. Geoff and Paulette made us felt welcome and shared useful tips. All recommended pubs and restaurants turned out to be great. North Norfolk is beautiful and we will definitely be back. Thanks, Anna

    Anna2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had such a lovely break here over New Years. Stepping into Nelson's cabin was a magical experience and one we will certainly not forget! Geoff and Paulette were extremely attentive hosts and gave us privacy but were also on hand to give us lots of advice about the local area and always made sure we had plenty of delicious food for breakfast too. With beautiful coastal walks extremely close by and great pubs too, what more could you want from a holiday property?! We will definitely be back!

    Olivia2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Came to this area for a wedding, I was late arriving but Geoff was still around to welcome me. This quirky little cabin is a shine to Nelson and could have easily spent a few more days just exploring it! Only noise around was from the ducks next door! Very comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price for that area.

    Phil2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great weekend with 2 excellent evening meals at Jolly Farmer a short walk away (needed to book). Nice to be slightly away from the hustle, bustle and high prices of Burnham. Recommend highly.

  • Communication via texting was easy with Jane (despite her apologies for any difficulties - I didn't think there were any at all!). We had a great time at Redeings Studio in Brancaster Staithe...the studio was beautifully clean, well-equipped and in a perfect location. It couldn't have been better in my opinion. We had some lovely food and beer at the White Horse in the village which was well-earned after our mammoth coastal path walk from Wells!

  • What a wonderful cottage Carrie has! It has everything one needs as a couple, or a family staying there. The cottage was immaculately clean, with a two good sized double rooms (and one more with bunk beds), a HUGE comfy sofa and a great garden with seating area. Carrie also left us a bottle of prosecco and chocolates, which was a lovely touch! Having stayed in a few airbnb places, this is without doubt the best place I have stayed in. Unquestionably 5 starts, and if I could give more stars I would have!

Walking distance to the coastal path and 2 good pubs that do food. Carrie was an excellent host. She came in to see we had settled in ok and was helpful with places to go and see. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends with no hesitation.

  • Had a lovely stay here with my family. The cottage is cosy but still plenty big enough for our 3 year old and 2 year old to run around and go bonkers in. The kitchen is well equipped with all mod cons, and the living room ha really comfy big sofas to relax in at the end of the night. Best of all though is the enormous garden that kids can explore and get lost in...really good fun. The local area is beautiful, with lots of pubs, cafes and play areas within short driving distance - and brancaster beach (one of the best in the uk) is only a 5 minute drive or half hour walk away. All in all a great place to come and get away from the hustle and bustle for a little while, would highly recommend.

  • If you are looking for a calm place to relax and enjoy the contryside views, you have found a small piece of heaven. Megan was really welcoming. She offered us fresh scones and beverage on our arrival wich felt great after a lot of driving. The loft is charming, you feel like in a five star hotel, but with the best views in Norfolk! The breakfest was just the best we had in England so far, with everything you could imagine, full English, fresh fruits, excellent coffee and more. Thank you Megan!

  • Lovely little B&B a short drive from the Norfolk coast and with plenty of surrounding villages and beaches to explore, plus the local pub serving delicious food just a short walk down the road. Upon arrival Megan made us feel very welcome and we were offered tea and scones which was great after the long drive. Our room was really nicely decorated and had everything we needed, including tea & coffee making facilities and biscuits topped up each day. It was also separate from the main house and had its own seating area for us to enjoy in the evenings. The cooked breakfast each morning was also great. Overall a lovely stay and a nice home from home for a relaxing weekend away.

    Laura2015-08-04T00:00:00Z

    Georg2015-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in a great location, a few minutes walk from a nice pub and a short drive from several picturesque Norfolk villages and the seaside! Megan was a great host, tea and cake on arrival and offered lots of great recommendations for places to visit in the local area. Wish we could have stayed longer!

    Jess2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Megan made us feel extremely welcome from the moment we arrived. We were offered tea/coffee and homemade cake on arrival and it was served in the orangery of the main house. The room was perfect; fresh, warm and inviting and beautifully decorated. Little things had been thought of too - there were viennese whirls to enjoy. We very much liked being in an annex rather than in a room of a house as it felt very private. There were private gardens to enjoy too as well as private parking. Recommendations for dinner were excellent and we ended up at the recently opened Fish and Chip restaurant in Thornham. The bed was extremely comfortable and a peaceful location made for a wonderful night's sleep. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and there was so much to choose from; we couldn't manage everything! We highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Megan was the perfect host in the perfect place to stay. Thank you!

  • The Hay Loft is a lovely, cosy place. It is perfect for a weekend away. Megan is very welcoming and helpful. The room is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The bed is very comfortable and the ensuite shower room is great. Towels/ flannels and a hairdryer are provided, as well as luxury mini bathroom essentials. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided along with some delicious biscuits and fresh milk. There is plenty of storage for clothes if you are staying for a few days. You can also relax in one of the two chairs to watch TV/ browse through the magazines or tourist leaflets or read the useful 'Hay Loft welcome folder' which has information for your room and things to explore in the local area including various walking route suggestions from Megan. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and homemade muesli and jams. Megan also offers a freshly cooked breakfast. We would have loved to have stayed longer and definitely recommend a visit!

We had a delicious supper at the Victoria pub and a very comfy early night! A delicious full English breakfast and then home via Burnham Market, a sweet little village with posh shops..very nice and a perfect overnight stay!

  • David's cottage is located at a nice quiet location. It's within walking distance to the beautiful Holkham beach and other coastal attractions. I enjoyed David's breakfast for the few days I stayed at his cottage. The amenities are great. He is attentive to his guests and has been a wonderful host. I feel very welcomed during my stay. I look forward to staying at his cottage and visiting the beautiful area again.

    Danielle 2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I booked an overnight stay with David on the Holkham estate. This is an area we are familiar with as regular visitors to Norfolk, previously staying in Burnham and wells-next-sea. My husband has stayed in airb&b before, but this was my first time. I was really surprised by how welcome we were made to feel as soon as we arrived, with a cuppa and the offer of carrot cake, David even offered to help us with our bags. David has a beautiful home (like homes and gardens!), our room was tastefully decorated and contained everything we needed. David did mention he may put a T.V in there, but I didn't feel it needed one, as it is beautifully relaxing. David had even left a box of Lindor chocolates on the pillow, as well as bottled water, tea and coffee and a thermos of milk. We both slept really well as very quiet and dark (which is lovely as at home we have street lighting). The en-suite bathroom was modern and immaculate and came complete with nice towels and I notice a box of toiletries too were included. David cooked breakfast the next morning, we had fruit juice, freash fruit, yogurt and cereals, plenty of toast followed by an excellent cooked breakfast with delicious sausages and the best scrambled egg!. David had checked with us the night before what time we would like breakfast, we had said 10.00am, but we were up earlier and this wasn't a problem. This was a really lovely place to stay in a great area. There is a great pub about a minute walk from David's that serve what looked like great food, although we had already decided to eat in Wells-next -sea, but did go back in the evening and spent a couple of hours having a drink and relaxing. Highly recommend this Airb&b.

    Mandy2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely two nights in David's charming little cottage. The room was spotless, as was the ensuite, and David was excellent in responding to my questions about how to get there and what to do. He has a terrific knowledge of the local community, which is unusual in that the village is owned by one man, an Earl. Within a 20 minute walk is one of the best beaches in England. It has real sand, not pebbles.

Our neighbouring villages Titchwell, Brancaster Staithe and Thornham all have fantastic pubs and restaurants - we're happy to give recommendations should you want them. Burnham Market with its beautiful shops and the famous Hoste Arms pub is a 15 minute drive away whilst Hunstanton offers a Sea Life Sanctuary, Amusements, a Fun Fair and a Horticultural trail.
  • We had a lovely stay here. The location was fantastic, with the amazing beach being only a short walk or an even shorter drive away. Brilliant for the children, and wonderful access to the park which is just across the road. A great base for visiting all the sights of North Norfolk. Thank you!

  • We were six guys on a golf trip and this house was spacious enough for us (in fact it would work well for eight or nine). Comfy beds and plenty space in the kitchen and living room. Walking distance to "The Ship" for food or a beer, and there are several other places to eat in the surrounding area. Amelia provided recommendations, all good ! All in all it was a really good base for our trip. Many thanks Amelia.

  • the house is very spacious and easy with small children. Location is perfect, near the beach, playground across the road. Amelia gave us lots of advice about things to do in the area and that made our trip much easier. I would definitely go back!

  • This is a super large house with plenty of space. Our family settled very quickly and we had everything we needed. The walk to the beach is a pleasant 20 mins on a footpath. There's a play park opposite the house. We thought the White Horse the pick of the pubs for food. Brancaster beach is clean, sandy and non commercial but check your tide times as the sea disappears! We had a lovely stay here.

  • We had a wonderful family break here over Easter. The town of Brancaster is small but very pretty and quiet. The beach, which is a 15/20 min walk across National Trust land is truly beautiful. The whole local area is really great, pretty little towns, fab pubs, lovely shops and a stunning, rugged coastline. We had planned to do lots of day trips but really didn't need to, with 2 young children there was plenty to do just pottering around locally. The house itself was perfect for our trip. We were a party of 9, young and old, and everyone loved it! It's big enough that we never felt on top of each other. It's brilliantly appointed, there was nothing that we needed on our trip that wasn't provided. The decor is country casual so perfect for the area, and the type of trip we were looking for. It had a lovely relaxed feel and we felt very at home. We were all surprised how quickly we settled in. I'd say that the photos don't do the house justice, we were all very pleasantly surprised how lovely it is when we arrived. The host, Amelia, is very easy-going and helpful. She communicated quickly and was very accommodating. The bottle of prosecco on arrival was a really nice touch and made us feel very welcome. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this house, the whole family had a wonderful Easter beak and that was largely due to the very comfortable and relaxed stay we had at the house.

  • Duffields House is a beautiful home from home in a fabulous location. It was very well equipped, clean and comfortable with plenty of space to relax. The welcome basket was a lovely touch, provided by the great Ship Inn which is right next door to Duffields. A great place to enjoy a drink and food after a walk on Brancaster beach! Communication from Victoria was excellent and we would definitely recommend Duffields to anyone wishing to visit this wonderful part of the world.

  • This was our second stay at Duffields, and everything was as perfect as we knew it would be. Victoria has a wonderful house, is a great host with prompt and efficient communication, and has excellent housekeepers who look after the house really well, so that not only is the house great but little touches are catered for, such as flowers upon request, as well as nice welcome packs with wine, bread, milk etc. Thank you, and we will certainly be coming again.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Duffields. We rented the house and the cottage together and it was ample space for us. The property is to a very good standard and the photos reflect the interior well. It is in a great location, a couple of doors down from a lovely pub, and walking distance from the beach. Communication with Victoria was very easy and she responded quickly. I would definitley recommend.

  • Victoria was great to deal with, always getting back to me very quickly. The house was fantastic, and the location is wonderful. You can walk to the beautiful Brancaster beach in about 15 mins. There is a wonderful pub/restaurant next door, and you hear no noise it at all. We will definitely be coming back here. It was my wife's 50th, and Victoria arranged a nice chocolate cake on arrival, and lovely fresh flowers throughout. Perfect!
