“An incredible home and gardens. Very famous and much visited. One of the great treasures of the island if not Scotland. Amazing history and gorgeous walks. ”

Park
“Pay a visit to this local fortress linked to high stewards turned royal dynasty. A circular sandstone wall encloses this mighty castle, famous for its long and close asscociation with the Stewart kings of Scotland.”

Garden
“Tranquil gardens with a small aviary and hothouses including cacti displays. Hidden from view, this is a bit of a secret hideaway. And getting there from our flat along the Ardencraig Woodland Walk is lovely. For that, walk up the steps on the Serpentine Road and look for the signposts.”

Garden
“Ascog Hall Fernery and Gardens is situated about a 25 min walk away from the apartment. The most outstanding feature of this three acre garden is the Victorian Fernery, a beautiful sunken structure fed by natural spring waters and housing many fern species, including a 1000 year old Todea Barbara or King Fern - the only survivor from the original collection. Well worth a visit.”
