“Walk into the park and be on the look out for sloths and other local wildlife. Hire a guide with a sporting scope or go on your own. You can cut off the trail and out to the beach throughout the park. Cost of entry is donation. 8 minute drive from Casa Tui.”

“25$ par personne pour faire du snorkeling au bord du parc Cahuita: vous y verrez, en fonction des jours et avec un peu de réussite, des poissons de toute sorte, raie, tortue et bien d'autres... A faire en famille, pas besoin d'être expert, cela se fait en toute sécurité. Évitez les lendemains de pluie car la visibilité est moins bonne.”

“If you are wandering around the village of Cahuita on a hot afternoon, stop by Cafe Cahuita. They serve fruit smoothies, ice cream and coffee. They also have wifi. I prefer a good cappuccino or one of their strawberry and banana smoothies, but my grandson says their mixto icecream is the best!”

“The black volcanic sand itself is beautiful, but the vegetation and ocean make it perfect. Great for walking your pup too. There is a little “gym area” with make-shift swings you can enjoy. Reggae bar is right across the road, you can’t miss it. At the end of the beach there is a little jungle trail that leads to coral and the ocean you can explore, just beware for snakes and such. Usually not as busy as The National Park. The best part is that it is a 3 min walk to the beach from The Hideout. ”

Restaurant
“This is an interesting restaurant because they have movie night that starts around 7:00-7:30! A large screen with two big sofas, and tables around the edges and outside. The cool thing about Cocorico is that you can bring your kids (close to 5:00-5:30), they will put on a kids movie and they can hang out and eat pizza. They also have great salads and really yummy Mojitos (for the adults of course!) ”
