Plaza
“The Place de la République's renovation was unveiled in 2013. Its traffic areas have been significantly reduced to allow more space for walkers. To relax, take a break or chat with friends, armchairs, chairs and tables are placed throughout the square. With new developments, the Place regains its popular, friendly and festive character. The "Monument à la République" is a monumental statue rising in the centre of the square, pointing upwards to overlook citizen events. The square is the ideal venue for night owls attending countless entertainment venues nearby such as bars, concert halls, nightclubs and theatres. ”

“If you want to see Paris from above, that's where you want to go :) I'm lucky to live very close by to the Coulée Verte. It's "our" Highline (yes, much different from the one in New York, but still a Highline!). I won't say much, except that it's a must-do if you like to walk, and want to escape from the noise of Paris' ground 0.”

Inaugurated just over 25 years ago in 1989, the opera house was created to showcase popular, modern works. Nowadays, the Opéra Bastille boasts a varied program featuring operas and ballets, as well as the occasional symphony concert.”
